Summary: Garou died in his fight against Superalloy Darkshine. But he didn't stay dead; instead, he was reborn into another world—one without powers—as Akai Mako. Despite having a new body, his mindset is still the same. He still hates heroes and wants to become the absolute evil. He'll take the world by a storm and become the symbol of fear.

"It's been a while, Shuichi-niisan," Shukichi greeted his elder brother.

"Yeah, about seven years," Akai replied. "You grew a lot, Shukichi. Are you in your third year of high school now?"

Rather than answering the question, Shukichi turned to the young child hiding behind his leg. "Hey, say hello! It's the first time you two have met, right?"

Masumi shyly peeked out. "N-Nice to meet you. My name is Masumi…" She wanted to go with Mako, but her twin brother had ran off as soon as they got to the beach. She also had wanted to meet her oldest brother, so she went with Shukichi.

"Hn?" Akai glanced at her. "Who's this brat?"

"Our little sister!" Shukichi informed. "I sent you her photo, didn't I? I also sent Mako's photo too!"

"Right, before I went to America, Mom's tummy did grow bigger," Akai recalled. "Wait, where's the other one? They were twins, right?"

"Mako runs off on his own a lot," Shukichi claimed. 'Seriously Mako, don't you want to meet your older brother? You should at least say hi to him,' "Anyway, here's Mom? She went to the hotel to meet you, but you didn't come here together?"

"We got into a bit of an argument at the hotel," Akai removed his sunglasses to show the bruise on his left eye. "Her knife-hand strike hit me in the eye and now I look like this, thanks to her. I also landed a few hits myself. She's probably chilling it with ice right now,"

"You should chill your head instead," Mary told her son when she joined them. "You said you wanted to study in America, so I let you study abroad. But you just wanted to find the truth behind yoru father's incident? And you intend to enter the FBI after graduating. You're like a small child possessed by a Shinigami,"

"I got both a green card and American citizenship. Then after getting three years of work experience, I should pass the writing exam and the physical test without a problem," Akai leaned back into the beach chair. "Well, I had difficulties getting a driver's license since both my home country and Japan have left-hand driving,"

"What about your living expenses?" Mary asked. "Do you think I will give an allowance to someone who's saying such stupid things?"

"Don't worry," Akai said. "I've found a good part-time job. Before getting into the FBI, I'll live off of that,"

"Really," Mary huffed. "I called you back to Japan after a long time and this is how you act? Well, looking at this peaceful scenery should calm you down and remind you about what my husband told us when he wanted us to flee to Japan,"

Listen, think of me as someone who doesn't exist from now on. It looks like I made enemies with really horrible people.

"Let's go to the beach hut and eat something, maybe Yakisoba," Shukichi suggested to Masumi. "Maybe we'll find Mako there. He eats a lot,"

As Masumi and Shukichi left, Masumi glanced back at Akai. 'I met my oldest brother for the first time. He's different from Kichi-niichan and he doesn't smile at all. He's very serious like Mako, but Mako smiles sometimes. I want to see Shuu-nii's smile,'

Masumi tried to make Akai smile by surprising him on top of the umbrella, showing off her cartwheel, and having several fries all over her face, only to be dismissed by Akai and scolded by Mary. Yukiko identified her as being from England due to the way she called french fries "chips" and asked if she had seen Shinichi. Yukiko left to continue searching for her son.

"Even in such a safe country," Akai said. "If you give away your nationality to a complete stranger just by your speech habits like now, no country would be safe. But don't worry, before Dad's enemies find out my identity, I'll send them to the bottom of hell,"

"I know who you are!" Shinichi pointed accusingly at Akai. "This oniisan is Pierrot! You need to listen to what he's saying! He travelled around to different countries, right? And as far as I know of, people who travel are from the circus! And when I saw the bruise on his left hand, I knew it was from playing the accordion due to the belt rubbing against his hand! And Pierrot usually plays the accordion in circus shows. Clowns also wear makeup but only Pierrot uses crying makeup! On Oniisan's left eye are traces of leftover makeup!"

Akai broke out into laughter, shocking Masumi. He then clarified that he wasn't a clown. "Anyway, kid, who are you?"

"Kudo Shinichi!" He introduced himself. "I'm Sherlock Holmes' apprentice!"

"Ah! Shinichi, so you were here!" Ran ran up to him. "Your mom's looking for you! Are you still playing Holmes?"

"I'm not playing! It's training!" Shinichi said. "I'm gonna become a detective,"

"But it's dangerous!" Ran told him worriedly. "Those guys were really angry! We were lucky the boy with the scary glare scared them off!"

"Boy with the scary glare?" Mary quietly questioned. 'Are they talking about Mako?'

"Brat, I've finally found you!" Three thugs approached Shinichi with hostility.

Mako, who had just finished eating and was heading to join his family, saw the three thugs. 'I guess a glare wasn't enough to keep them away. Heh, I'll just have to use brute force then!' As the thug roughly messed up Shinichi's hair, Mako moved swiftly but delivered powerful strikes, sending all three thugs to the ground, defeated. "I warned you to leave them alone or you'd have to deal with me,"

"Wow, Mako!" Masumi was impressed by Mako's attacks. "That was so cool!"

"It took a few more hits that I wanted," Mako mumbled to himself, disappointed with the results. "I've gotten stronger, but not strong enough,"

'That's Mako, Masumi's twin brother and my youngest brother,' Akai observed Mako. 'Compared to Masumi, most of his baby fat is gone and his physique is very lean. That's not normal for a six year old. And the way he defeated three full grown adults...that's definitely not normal either,'

"Hey brats," Mako asked Ran and Shinichi. "Can you play with Masumi? I'm going to continue training,"

As Mako was about to leave, a car crashed into the sea. Mako merely glanced at it for a few seconds before deciding to ignore it and continue on with his training.

Mako wanted to be able to one or two hit KO the thugs since they're normal humans and much weaker than the enemies he's faced in the One Punch Man World.
