Ayo, ayo, ayo, its ya boy, NarutoPlug, just coolin in my dorm not doing any of my school work, ya know? Who cares about responsibilities when you've rediscovered Teen Wolf on Amazon Prime and selected a random season to watch and now you're hooked already….

Yea, that's been my life for the past two, maybe three, days….

Anyway, I'm loving the feedback I'm getting from the last chapter. Sorry if it took me a while to respond to your reviews. For some reason, Fanfiction has really been messing with my reviews. When I posted the story and I got a review, I could see the review count increase, but I couldn't actually see the reviews nor respond to them. It was as if they weren't there at all. This has been happening to me ever since I've been on FanFiction as an author, but I actually reported it this time (because I didn't even know that was an option). FanFiction didn't respond back to me, but the next day I could see my reviews so guess that's a win.

As for those wondering where I got the name Doguma from….when I thought of this story idea the name just popped up in my head. It really doesn't have any meaning at all. It just sounds cool, ya dig? Rolls off the tongue nice.

Most of the next chapter has already been typed. I'm just finishing up the last scene. I want to have these chapters already typed instead of how I used to do it – typing them up and then updating the story without any editing. I'm not the best when it comes to grammar correction, so I bet there's still some errors in this chapter, but I tried to eliminate as many as I could spot.

Don't forget to fav, follow, and review the story. Thanks for the support.

Let's continue with the story.

The Extra of All Extras

7 Years Later…

"…but I assume you ALL want to be heroes!"

Midoriya Izuku sulked, keeping his head to the desk while writing in his journal as the room exploded in cheers and quirk flashing. His class was now third years in middle school, so the topic of thinking about the future was presented by the teacher…

…So OF COURSE everyone had to flash off their cool quirks as they all shouted their want to be heroes…

"Yes, you all have wonderful quirks…" continued the class teacher, "...but you know that it's against the rules to use them in school!"

"SENSEI! Don't lump me in with these losers!"

Izuki sulked even more as his childhood friend/bully began to piss on everyone's quirks and hyping up his own. Yes, Izuki knew that Katsuki's quirk was extremely powerful, especially at the age of 14, but with power came arrogance and overconfidence…

…aspects he was usually on the receiving end as memories of the blonde filled his mind…

"Ah, Bakugo-san…You, of course, must be aiming for U.A. High School." Said the teacher, shocking the entire class.

"That national school? The cutoff score this year is 79, right?!"

"I hear they barely accept anyone!"

'Just stay quiet, Izuku….just stay quiet and maybe they won't notice you.'

"All the stupid chattering of Extras!" Bakugo jumped on top of his desk in a display of dominance as he began his arrogant-filled speech, "I'll even surpass All Might and become the best Hero out there! Not to mention, I'll be one of the richest people in the world!"

"Oh yea, that's right…" their teacher began, fixing his glasses while reading some papers….

"…You're also going for U.A., aren't you, Midoriya-san?

The green-haired child could never catch a break…

The whole class turned back to glance at the quirkless boy-astonished…before erupting in laughter.

"Huh?! Midoriya-san? No way!"

"Good grades alone can't get you into the Hero Program!"

"Th-that's not necessarily true! Sure, there's no precedent, but-

Deku flew back in fright as Katsuki shot an explosion onto his desk. "Come on, Deku!" shouted the ash-blonde, humanoid loudspeaker that was Katsuki Bakugo, "Forget the crappy quirks. You're totally quirkless!" he screeched with an evil-grin that thoroughly rattled Midoriya's bones. "And you think you can rub shoulders with me?!"

"Wa…wait, no Kacchan." Stuttered Izuku, slowly backing away from the smoking blonde until he hit the back wall of the classroom. "I wasn't….say-saying I could compete with you! Not at all! I mean it!...it's just…it's been my dream since…I was little…and well….."

"….there's no harm in trying…" he muttered.

"TRY?! TRY WHAT?! THE ENTRANCE EXAM?!" Deku 'eeped' in shock as Katsuki's already explosive rage jumped up a notch. "YOU'RE TAKING THE EXAM JUST TO 'TRY'?!"

Midorya Izuku, the only quirkless child in his class, was surrounded as everyone laugh in disbelief at the green-haired child. A quirkless person? Trying to enter U.A.'s Hero Program? Impossible!

"What can you even DO?!"

Just the average day for the quirkless teen…

'Finally,' thought Izuku as he prepared to leave for the day, 'Time to go home…and the incident that happened this morning is all over the net!'

The green-haired teen moved to reach for his hero journal, 'Hero Analysis For My Future, No. 13, to pack in his bag…

'I'd better get home and get my notes in order.'

…only to be intercepted by Katsuki as he, backed by his lackies, snatched up the journal before Izuku could. "We ain't done here, Deku."

"Ka-ka-ka-ka-Kaachan!"

"Pfft! 'For My Future'?!" The ash-blonde laughed at the title of Izuku's journal. "What damn future?!"

"C-come on. Give it back!" begged the quirkless child.

Katsuki easily brushed off any of Izuku's attempts at stealing the journal back. He pressed the journal in between his two palms, preparing to use his explosion quirk to effortlessly destroy the booklet…

…a single beam of purple light flashed through the room and hit Katsuki's right hand. "Gaah!" he dropped the booklet in shock and tried to soothe his hand that now had a small burn mark on its surface.

The explosion-quirk user's eyes darted towards the door, already knowing who was responsible for his injury. "You….." he growled with as much hatred as possible.

"I keep telling you, Bakugo…" began the newcomer as he stepped into the room wearing the same boy's uniform as the ash-blonde bully. "Stop messing with Izuku." He threatened as he dropped his outstretched hand to his side.

"Do-Doguma!" Izuku swiftly recovered his journal and darted over to the newcomer. "Wait! Stop! Don't fight!"

The newcomer, Doguma Freeman, was the same height as Izuku. The 14-year old boy had small, but thick, small twist that hung randomly of his head. His brown eyes, while calm, held a growing anger as he stared at Katsuki with a controlled hatred-just waiting on the bully to attack.

"Woah, Bakugo-san! Your hand…" muttered one of Katsuki's lackies. "Are you okay?"

"Grrrr-OF COURSE I'M OKAY! SHUT UP!" he shouted, drawing the attention of everyone in the classroom, including the teacher.

"Hey, what's going on back there?!" questioned the man.

Doguma ignored the teacher as he stepped into the room, his glare still holding strong. "Everyday…I continue to have to protect Izuku because you and the rest of the people in this class belittle him every day."

"W-wait, D-Doguma…"

"…and every day, you're still a problem. How negative."

Doguma's foot stomped to a halt as he was only a few feet away from the enraged blonde. By now, everyone had surrounded the two, blocking the teacher's path to the duo.

"Fuck you, you FUCKING EXTRA!" barked Bakugo as small sparks grew from his palms. "Every time I look at your pathetic face, I get pissed off! The ultra-extra! EXTRA OF ALL EXTRAS!"

The ash-blonde bully was almost drooling from the mouth in rage as he held out his hand. "Give me back that damn journal, Deku! Do it now, before I blast your boyfriend sky high!"

"Ah…bu-

Doguma held out a hand, cutting Izuku off. "You don't have to give this oaf anything, Izuku. Now back off."

"FUCK YOU AND THAT DAMN USELESS PIECE OF SHIT BEHIND YOU! YOU WANNA FIGHT!" shouted Katsuki as fire burst from his palms.

"Hold on, back there! Stop! Don't use your quirks!"

Small burst of purple light erupted from Doguma's fingertips as he lowered himself down slightly entering a runner's position.

"…somebody needs to shut you up."

"Wait! Doguma! Stop!"

"-and I can't believe you two would do such foolishness! Bakugo-san! I know you are albeit on the wild side but attacking someone in such way is absolutely out of line. And Doguma-san! We've never had any problems from you…only with it comes to Bakugo-san! Explain yourselves, now!"

'Ah yes…' thought Doguma as he held the bag of ice to his swollen cheek, one of the larger injuries he sustained during his scuffle with Bakugo. 'Haven't been here before…'

"This piece of shit attacked me because he's a fucking extra!" shouted Katsuki while pointing at the quiet Doguma. The ash-blonde was riddled with small burn marks on his skin and uniform-thanks to Doguma's lasers. "The extra of all extras!"

The two were sitting in the principal's office after being separated by Katsuki's teacher that, sadly, caught a lot of the heat in their fight.

The sad man was currently at the school nurse crying his eyes out at the pain he was going through after being caught in the middle of the fight of two teenagers with powerful quirks…

"Bakugo was, once again, bullying my best friend. Since nobody else at this sad school was going to do something about it – I did. If I'm going to get in trouble about doing what was right, then so be it…how negative…."

"Fuck you!" shouted Katsuki with wide, animated white eyes of anger.

The principal sighed at his two students bickering. "…You two are really making this hard…." Began the man, clearly stressed, "Listen…I don't want to punish you two harshly because that could mess up your chances at entering a high-end Hero Program! Like U.A.! Don't you two want to be heroes?"

"Damn right!"

"….undecided….."

"Well…" coughed the man, "…you two hold a lot of promise. Society could use quirks like yours….and, not to mention….if you two were able to go to U.A. and enter their Hero Program…that would be a great reflection of this rinky-dink school…"

'…just another reason why I dislike most adults….such selfish desires…' thought Doguma…

"…having a clean record is almost a necessity. Now, even though you two are in separate classes, you continue to have run-ins with each other. You both need to apologize to Sanji-san, but you two really need to work on being around each other. Now dealing with punishments….Doguma-san…."

'This is boring….how negative….'

Doguma Freeman tapped is right index finger on his desk periodically as he waited for time to pass by…

…all while totally ignoring how Katsuki Bakugo, the child he fought with, wasn't there with him since Doguma was the one that 'started the fight' in the first place…

'I really don't like this…'

The other children in detention with him sat on the far other side of the room to avoid the uneasy aura emitting from Doguma. Even the overseer of their detention was worried about the feeling coming from the child…and she didn't know if she would be strong enough to stop him if he decided to rage.

But Doguma knew he wasn't going to do anything else…

…well…..nothing for today, at least….

"...fuckin'….extra…bitch freakin'…stupid-face piece of shit…waste of space and air…."

The echoes of Katsuki's curses during their fight filled his mind as Doguma continued to silently stare out the window. He would admit: he lost his cool today. Normally, Doguma was quiet and stayed to himself. He rarely talked to anyone and was one of the smartest kids in school. He liked reading and listening to his classical music – talking to people was secondary. He didn't have many friends, but he didn't care about that. He just wanted his peace and positivity…

…but Katsuki Bakugo? That child somehow always found a way to break his cool…

It could be possible that it wasn't Bakugo himself, but Bakugo messing with Izuku was what pissed him off. Ever since he moved to Musutafu, he and Izuku quickly became friends – Izuku's quirklessness a nonfactor in their relationship. The two would talk about anything from Heroes (Izuku's favorite topic) to anime (one of Doguma's favorite topics) to manga (again, a favorite for Doguma), food, school, movies, whatever. Doguma had gone over to Izuku's house many times over the years and met Izuku's mother and father whenever he was home from his job overseas, and Izuku had been to his own home. Doguma's father enjoyed Izuku's company and always welcomed the child in his home…

Yeah…Katsuki wasn't what pissed him off…it's the people who would mess with Izuku was what would piss him off….

…it just so happens that Katsuki was ALWAYS the person that messed with Izuku- hence, his current predicament…

...and which was why Katsuki wasn't with him during detention: because this disgusting school favored the ash-blonde over anything else.

….well…he kinda did start their fight….Doguma grimaced for moment, before remembering that he wouldn't had to step in if this school didn't give Bakugo such leeway to do whatever he wanted – which included bullying his best friend…

That was a no go.

'I was supposed to go to Izuku's today….he did say he had a new All Might collectable….not that I really care…'

Izuku's fascination with heroes did not affect Doguma over the years being with the green-haired boy, but he had learned a lot from him. Izuku was very intelligent, especially when it came to heroes – so while Doguma wasn't as invested into Heroes like Izuku, he did know more than what most people knew about heroes.

"…I swear…I'm gonna kill you one day….fuckin' extra of extras…"

-was what the ash-blonde said when they were pulled apart from their scuffle. 'Tch…extra of extras'….Doguma hardly cared about any of Bakugo's insults directed to him, but that one always stuck out to him…

…maybe because he knew that there wasn't anything 'extra' or normal about him….it was just the fact that people didn't know how…unique…he really was…

Katsuki's body was like a constant generator of negative energy. Doguma could literally FEEL the energy roll of the ash-blonde's body in waves during their fight. He couldn't see the energy, but his mind's eye could, in a way. Doguma could never explain it, but whenever he closed his eyes and used his second quirk – it was like he could see the purple negative energy within a person. He could always absorb some of it…or even add more negative energy of fear into Bakugo…that could get him to shut up, no? And then, he co-

'Gah…stop it, Doguma…' He shook his head in denial. No…he couldn't use that side of him…

Nobody other than his father knew about his second quirk. Even on his quirk registry papers, only Minus, his laser quirk, was listed. He hadn't used Negative in a while, and even though there was a giant temptation named Katsuki Bakugo that he saw every day….he couldn't…

"You just don't know, Bakugo…." Doguma whispered to himself as he continued looking out the window without a care in the world. "You just don't know how much I would love if you would just…..disappear…"

Doguma sensed the negative energy within him almost double in a second; hatred filling his heart.

'Alright…calm down, Doguma…'

"Alright, everyone. That's time. You can go home now. Freeman-san! Your father is here!"

Doguma grabbed his bag and exited the room, leaving any thoughts of Katsuki Bakugo in the room. He wasn't going to let the blonde get to him for the rest of the day. Maybe some other day, but as of now, he didn't care about him.

"-AND MAYBE IF YOU TAUGHT YOUR SON HOW NOT TO BE A DICK, THEN MAYBE WE WOULDN'T BE HERE, YOU EVIL WOMAN!"

"SHUT UP, FREEMAN! THERE ISN'T ANYBODY HERE THAT'S GONNA TELL ME HOW TO RAISE MY SON!"

"WELL THEN GO READ A BOOK ON IT OR SOMETHING – ALONG WITH A BOOK ABOUT LEARN HOW NOT BE SUCH A BIT – oh, hello there, Sochi."

Doguma sighed as he walked over to his loud father. The bald, dark skin man was wearing his usual office get up: button down blue shirt, black tie and slacks along with brown shoes. He must have recently gotten off work and came over to his school to pick him up. "Hello, Tou-san."

"Ahm!" coughed the principal, "Lets refrain from using such language please? Now, I'm sure that after the talk I gave you earlier…we shouldn't be having any other problems like today, right?"

"…..yes sir…."

…A small increase in negative energy within him…he knew he was lying, but whatever…

"Good! And I'm sure your father will come up with the proper punishment so something like this is sure to never happen again."

"Damn right!" shouted Bakugo Mitsuki, the person Gerald was arguing with and Katsuki's mother, "Gotta make sure that Katsuki doesn't mess up anymore! Can't have the idiot squander his chances into getting into U.A.!"

Gerald Freeman scoffed. "…maybe he wouldn't be an idiot if his mother wasn't one too…"

Mitsuki's eyes budged from her head in a Katsuki-like manner. "WHAT WAS THAT, YOU BOFFUN?!"

"I SAID MAYBE IF HIS MOTHER WASN'T A DAMN IDIOT, THEN THE STUPID KID WOULDN'T BE ONE HIM-Oh look, there's Masaru-san."

Masaru Bakugo, Katsuki's father and Mitsuki's husband, returned to the group after taking a bathroom break. "Oh! Hello there, Gerald! Nice to see you. Did you catch the game last night?"

"Yeah man. Those Lakers really are something else. You should come over sometime. I've been thinking about buying this new engine for my car and I want you to check it out."

"New engine? Sounds expensive."

"It was, but I got it for a cheaper price from this guy I know in Tokyo. You know I go into that city a couple of times a month for business? I met him last month."

"Discount you say? I may have to-

"MASARU-KUN! WE'RE SUPPOSED TO HATE HIM – NOT TALK ABOUT SPORTS AND ENGINE DISCOUNTS!" shouted the fury that was Masaru's wife, pissed off that the two men were so friendly with each other and completely ignoring her.

Gerald's calm demeanor did a complete 180 as he exhaled a steam of smoke. "HE'S TALKING TO ME BECAUSE HE'S A BETTER FUCKING HUMAN BEING THAN YOU ARE! GO WORRY ABOUT YOUR PIECE OF SHIT OF A SON THAT YOU FAILED TO RAISE RIGHT!"

"Ack-" went the woman, unable to come up with a proper counter. Gerald huffed as he began to walk off - his son following his lead. "See you later, Masaru." He said with a backhanded wave, leaving the Bakugo couple on the school yard and walked to Gerald's vechile.

Doguma rested in the passenger seat as his father pulled off the lot. "Jeez, I hate that woman…" he began, "I don't see how a nice guy like Masaru-san ended up with her of all people…it's like marrying a snake…"

"….You said a lot of curse words back there…how negative…"

"Uhm…yea, I guess I did…" grumbled the older Freeman, "But…sh-she deserved it, so there. Calling her a bitch wasn't a diss…it was a true statement."

"How negative…"

"Ah-forget that! The principal told me what happened." Gerald quickly changed the topic. His son was too good at listing off his faults. "Bakugo again, huh?"

Doguma sighed for what felt like the tenth time that hour. He gripped the sides of his backpack that laid in his lap. "He's got a hold of my head, Tou-san…. it's because he messes with Izuku…"

"Yeah, yeah…I understand…just make sure he doesn't get you too angry, sochi."

Doguma locked his lips, not trusting himself to tell his father the thoughts he had not so long ago.

"….and as for your punishment…"

"…..there isn't one…right?"

"Exactly! Because why punish you for doing the right thing, son?!" shouted the proud father with a wide grin, "See? This is exactly why I know you'll be great as a hero!"

'…..here we go again…..'

"Father…you know how I feel about becoming a hero…"

"Yea, yea, yea, you feel like you can't be one, yada-yada-yad." Gerald waved off his son's insecurities without worry, not caring for the child's blank face. "I've already told you: just because you have that 'quirk' doesn't mean you're a bad person, son. Get that outta your head."

The fourteen-year old rolled his eyes as his father parked the car – the duo didn't live far away from Doguma's middle school. His father really was adamant on this hero thing…

"Maybe I can become librarian or something?" he suggested. "I'll be around a lot of books and silence…how positive."

"Nope! It's either become a hero or an accountant!" grinned his father as the two exited the car. "And if ya' don't do either, then get the hell outta my house! That's what my Pops always said."

Doguma could only chuckle at his father's enthusiasm for his future. His father really wanted him to either follow his footsteps or become what he wanted as a child. Of course, he knew that his father didn't really mean that…it was just a joke….

Right?

'Wait a second….he might be serious about this…'

Another reason why Doguma and Izuku held such a good relationship was the proximity of their homes.

The two best friends lived in the same apartment complex – just different buildings with Izuku living in building three and Doguma living in building two. Throughout their childhood, if one child wanted to see the other (with permission from their respective guardians that was almost always approved) they would skip over to the next apartment building next to them and hang out.

It was exactly why Doguma was currently with Izuku in his room. He was sitting at Izuku's desk while his best friend was flipping through his hero journals with haste. He had abandoned the ice bag he had for a medium-sized bandage under his eye. Katsuki really could punch…

The energy Izuku had confused Doguma. Izuku was usually quiet and stick to his own – kinda like himself – he wasn't this lively at all. "Uh, Izuku? Did something happen for you to be so lively?" he asked.

"Yes! I've been reinvigorated, Doguma!" The sparkles in Izuku's eyes almost blinded the teen as he continued, "I'm gonna make it to U.A…and not just the General Education course! I mean the Hero Program! It's going to happen!"

"So inspirational…how positive…" Nodded Doguma in approval, "But where did this come from? Not that I'm not happy see you so invigorated but….it seems kinda sudden…"

"I..I-I know…."

Doguma's second quirk picked up on the slight rise of negative energy inside of Izuku as his mood shifted. "It's just….I think I can do this. I just must work harder! Train my body and not just my mind! I can't keep sulking around expecting that I can become a hero just because I want to and have the brains for it! I'm gonna start working for the entrance exams coming soon! Y-You should too, Doguma…"

The brown-skinned child shrugged his shoulders. 'This conversation again…'

"I'm not too sure, Izuku…maybe….maybe I'm not cut out for the hero roll…"

"Wh-what! Why?!" shouted the astonished quirkless child. "But! Bu-but we talked about becoming heroes for so long now! Ever si-since I met you! Why quit now…."

Doguma hated conversations like these because the only way he could defend himself is by lying.

"I'm…I'm not the best with my quirk…" he began while scratching his head, "…and….I don't know…I'm just not feeling it…."

What he really wanted to say was that he felt he didn't deserve to be a hero sine he had a dark quirk…and if anybody were to find out…

"Stop that, Doguma! Your quirk is amazing!" shouted Izuku. The green-haired child dug through a stack of booklets before settling on one. Opening it, he landed on a page titled 'Doguma Freeman'. "Quirk: Minus! You can shoot negatively charged lasers from any of your fingertips! They can burn through most material depending on the amount of power you output!"

"Well, yeah…but I've never really tried to see how much energy I can compact into one laser-

"Then you should try!"

Doguma sighed. Honestly, his best friend was relentless with his dream of them both becoming heroes in the future. "I'll think about it Izuku…you know…if I could, I'd probably give you my qui-

No.

Doguma caught himself before he finished his statement. No. He could never give anybody this curse he was born with. It's a miracle he hadn't gone stir-crazy from Negative's power. He wouldn't dare bestow this weight on anybody, especially his best friend.

Doguma's sudden silence affected his best friend's mood. Izuku knew what Doguma was about to say, and he assumed he didn't finish it because Doguma may have been scared as to how he was going to take it. The want to blurt out and tell Doguma what had happened to him today had to be one of the hardest things to hold back, but he had to for the greater good.

"….don't worry about me, Doguma." Izuku rested a hand on Doguma's shoulder in comfort. "I'll be fine….I'll be working hard for now on. You should too….try training…maybe you'll discover something new about your quirk."

"…training, eh?" mumbled the teen as he glanced down at his hands. He knew what he could do with Minus….

…but he never truly explored what he could do with Negative…

He had always denied that side of him, hardly using his quirk at all in the past seven years. It was out of fear and by order of his father forbidding him from using Negative…maybe he should try-

"Doguma?"

"Yea?"

"As I am right now….do you think I can become a hero? Be honest."

'Oh. That's a tough question.' thought Doguma.

"…Can I answer your question with another question?"

"Uh…s-sure."

One look at Izuku and Doguma could tell the child was worried about what he would say. Sadness. Depression. Anxiety. Disbelief. A cluster of negative emotions was written on his face. Doguma has seen those same emotions on Izuku's face many times over the years….and it's one of the few reasons when he decided to use Negative…

"Are you, Izuku Midoriya, worthy to become a hero? Well, I know that answer is yes. How positive." Just by those words alone, an imaginary weight fell off Izuku's shoulders – unknowingly, that weight was actually Doguma absorbing the cloud of negative emotion within him into his own body. Izuku felt happier suddenly.

"You…..you are more worthy than any other person I know that should become a hero. You have the heart. You're smart. And, by your word, you'll begin training your body to handle the physical aspects of that come with being a hero. I would trust you with my life if I was injured inside of a burning building and you were there to help me. The world needs more people like you…"

"Sadly," he continued, "in order for you to become a hero, you'll need a quirk….it could have been an insignificant quirk like…I don't know…..being able to tell the flavor of certain drinks without tasting them yet…but the need for a quirk to be a hero is absolute in this land….so….if I'm being objective…..no, Izuku…as you are right now…I don't believe you can become a hero…..I'm….I'm sorry if-

"Hey." An unusual grin was plastered on Izuku's face. Why was he happy? He just told him that he couldn't become a hero. "It's alright, Doguma. Thanks for being honest with me. You're the first person in my life who gave me an answer while considering my feelings. Arigato."

"B-but….." Doguma didn't notice what would have been Izuku's tears pooling down his own cheeks. His heart felt heavy and hurt – the same sensation whenever he absorbed Izuku's negative energy. "I just said…."

"Again. Don't worry about it, Doguma. Plus…I've got a feeling that everything will work out okay in the end….I just met up with All Might and he-

Izuku gasped, covering his mouth with both hands and backed away. The action confused Doguma. Izuku just met All Might? Then why isn't he bouncing off the walls after meeting his idol? "You met All Might?"

"Uh-h-hhh-hh ye…yes! Yes! I met him while you were in detention!" stuttered Izuku in a very Izuku-like manner. "The-there was an incident…a slime villain attacked a caught Kaachan!"

"Really now?" questioned Izuku's best friend, "Did the villain smash his skull in? That would free up so many problems…how positive."

"D-Doguma! That's not nice!" shouted Izuku, though he was holding back his own laughter as Doguma chuckled at his dark joke, "No…actually….I…tried to save him-but that's when All Might stepped in and saved the both of us!"

Izuku shivered at the blank face his best friend was giving him. "Wha-what?"

"You tried to save Bakugo?" sweat dropped Doguma in disbelief. If Doguma were to see Bakugo being attacked by a villain, he would have happily turned the other way and ignore his yells. "Now what spell were you under that made you go save the person that's been tormenting you all your life?"

"I'm not too sure…" shrugged the child as he sat on the edge of his bed – a weak grin on his face. "I just…ya know….my body moved on its own…"

"…which backs my theory of you being an excellent hero if you had a quirk…" added Doguma.

"Thanks…" Beamed Izuku, "…but yea…All Might saved us…and we talked…" Izuku began meddling with his fingers slightly, "…and that was it…"

Deceit.

Another use of Negative was that Doguma could literally feel when somebody was lying. Whenever someone lied, a small speck of negative energy grew within them. Since he's had Negative active during his talk with Izuku to steal away any negative emotion that could be pressuring his best friend, he also felt the lie Izuku told.

So Doguma understood that Izuku was lying, but about what?

'So, something else happened after that? Or did it happen at all?...I don't think Izuku would lie about meeting All Might or Bakugo getting captured….but it's none of my business…'

"Well, that's cool. Did you have any of your All Might toys-

"ACTION FIGURES!"

"-yes, yes…..'action figures'…" Doguma said with air quotes. "…were you able to get any autographs?"

"No…sadly, I didn't have any with me…" sighed Izuku in disappointment. "I didn't want to risk bringing one of them to school all day and Kaachan doing something to it…."

But, before Doguma could secretly absorb the disappointment that grew in Izuku, a bright flash of happiness burnt away his disappointment in an instant. "…but I've got the feeling that I'll be able to get him to sign some soon…"

"Oh, really? How so?"

Izuku 'eep!' in fright again as he realized he was talking too much again. "Ah-ah-ahhhh-Nothing!-

Deceit.

-I'm just saying that...ya know…s-s-ss-since we'll be going to U.A. soon, and since All Might announced that he's gonna teach there, we'll run into him more often." He mumbled, fidgeting with his fingers again.

Doguma stared at Izuku for a moment as the green-haired child stared at the floor while sweating bullets. It was obvious that Izuku was lying…he was never a good liar – Doguma was sure that he wouldn't even need Negative to know when Izuku was lying…

'But it's none of my business…for now….'

"….Ah, that makes sense." nodded Doguma after a few moments of silence between the two. "Us going to school with All Might…then you'll be able to get your to-action figures signed. I'm sure that'll make you happy…how positive…"

"Yes!" Izuku jumped up and moved to his collection of All Might collectables, "I think I'll start out small and have him sign this 'All Might Version 2 – Silver Edition Uniform', and then move up to the big, rare models like my new 'All Might Tokyo Edition – Villain Attack'! Oh! But there's also this model I got shipped from America where-

It was at this point that Doguma stopped listening to Izuku. He knew his best friend well enough that he was entering one of his rabbling sessions about his toys and that he would ask him a question in about forty-five seconds, so he had a little time to collect his thoughts. By now, he had turned off Negative just in case Izuku lied again. He didn't like the fact that his friend was withholding information, but he really didn't like that he could tell whenever someone was lying to him. He felt like it was an invasion of privacy…

Rather, Doguma watched as Izuku continued his constant mumbling with a small smile. One of Doguma's most favorite things about his best friend was the passion he had when it came to heroes and quirks. Izuku was basically a walking library of hero and quirk knowledge and had an honest passion for the two subjects. Watching talk about his passion with such joy was one of his favorite pastimes – which was why he loved listening to motivational speeches on the internet. There was no negativity in the action…just pure, positive emotion…

Something Doguma had never felt for anything in his life….

"You should too….try training…maybe you'll discover something new about your quirk."

Doguma was reminded of his best friend's earlier words. Maybe it was time for a change. He never did explore what he could do with Negative. Maybe it was time? Just because his father and society branded Negative as villainous, that shouldn't mean he couldn't explore part of himself, right?

'Alright, Izuku…I'll try working with Negative since I trust your judgement…' thought Doguma with a small smile to himself, 'I can do this….if I want to become a hero, then it's important to train my abilities for the preliminary test U.A. will be having in a few months. I'll just have to keep my training secret like how I've been hiding Negative all my life…yes, I can do this.'

Doguma's mental clock went off in his head. It was almost time for Izuku to ask him a question about whether he sho-

"Doguma, do you think I should bring my 'All Might vs. Diamond Guy – Ultra Rare, Version 3' poster or my ''Endeavor and All Might Team Up!' Super Rare Edition' as the fourth artifact I bring All Might when we go to U.A.?"

"Hmm….try the action figure. Your poster may get damaged if you bring it to school, Izuku."

'Yea…' thought Doguma as Izuku entered another hero ramble…

'…I'm done fearing myself…'

Whew! I'm actually on schedule when it comes to updating! Haven't done that in a while! I guess typing short chapters is the way to go.

Hope you all enjoyed that chapter. We get to see our boy, Doguma, and his best bro, Izuku, have such a special moment between them. I've always felt bad for Izuku in the actual cannon storyline and wondered how his life would be if he had an actual friend instead of trash human being that is Bakugo….even though he's going through his little 'redemption' arc in the manga right now, I still don't see how people defend him….I really don't like Katsuki at all…

The next chapter will be the 10-month span before the U.A. Entrance Exam. Izuku will be doing his own thing with All Might while Doguma will be working on himself. I really do believe you all will like how I did the next chapter cuz it is coming out really well. It's gonna be a longer chapter too, but not super long like how BreakThrough's chapters were. I'm at 13k+ words right now but I'm almost finished with it.

Tell me how you all liked the chapter! Don't forget to fav, follow and review

Next chapter comes out soon.

Whelp, I guess that's it for me.
