Ayo, ayo, ayo, its ya boy, NarutoPlug, coolin in the South, ya know? Making my way through No Nut November. I'm eleven days in and still standing strong! All my homies on my dorm floor are falling one by one, though…it sucks to see such strong and amazing warriors for victim to the dark art of temptation….F's in the chat…

Anyway, I've gotta mention what happened with the update of last chapter. For some reason, when I posted the last chapter, nobody saw it as if it was never posted. Even I couldn't see my own chapter that I posted even though it said in my manage stories tab in my profile that I had 4 chapters up. I don't know why it happened like that, so I just took it down and reposted it. I did get some reviews from that and the views went up, meaning people saw it-which is good-but FanFiction really needs to get on they stuff, my g. I've always had problems seeing reviews on this website and now posting chapters has become a problem? Not cool…

But it's fixed (for now) so there isn't a reason give it any of my energy. Glad you all liked the last chapter. Giving Mineta an actual storyline instead of keeping him as a pervert (even though he is a pervert) is something I've always wanted to do. Mineta actually has an ok quirk that can be used as a great support when working along someone else. I just wanted to show off what he could do by himself since people in the MHA community keep wondering how did Mineta even pass the entrance exam to get into the Hero course.

Also, Genshin Impact now has control over my life. This game is freakin amazing. I'd love to play with anybody who'd be willing to play with me. Pm a youngin, ya dig?

Alright. Enough ranting. Hopefully, this No Nut November will improve my typing skills and imagination….I'm sure it won't, but let's see.

Let's continue with the story.

Minus:Negative

1st Year's

Doguma popped his neck while adjusting his red tie. "Alright…I've got everything in order…" he said to himself as he glanced himself over in his full-body mirror one last time. Fitted in the standard male uniform for U.A. students, Freeman Doguma threw his backpack over his shoulder and took in a deep breath. "…today's the day…act perfectly normal and this should be a breeze." He hoped with a stress-filled sigh, "…sigh…..high school…..why can't I just read books all day and listen to classical music….and cloud watch under the peaceful, warm sunlight-

"DOGUMA!" The small amount of peace Doguma had imagining himself on top of the apartment complex's roof gazing at the clouds was absolutely ruined as his father, Freeman Gerald, kicked the door open. "You can't be late for you first day, sochi! If you do that, you'll make a bad first impression to your teachers! And if that happens, they may rant off to any future employers! And then, you won't be able to become an accountant!"

"But I don't want to become an accountant, Tou-san."

"THE HELL YOU ARE!" Gerald doubled in size as he shouted at his son. Doguma sighed to himself as the elder Freeman continued his rant. "You messed us up by sending that little email of yours talking about how you 'aren't worthy to become a hero' or some other bullshit! Now I can't have the hero son I've always wanted! So now, you become an accountant and, HOPEFULLY, you'll be able to work for me when I'm the CEO of the company I'm working for now as I could hire you!"

'Honestly…this man really only has two plans for my life….' Doguma would have sweat dropped at his father's wild antics, but he'd become numb to his father's shouts about either becoming a hero or an accountant after high school. He had heard it all his life. "Of course, Pops….I should be forever grateful that you've planned out my life so thoroughly…"

That seemed to settle the older Freeman as he retracted his anger. "Good." Huffed Gerald, not even noticing the extreme sarcasm dripping from Doguma's tongue. "Now then…I hope you have a good first day…also, try to make some friends. While Midoriya is a great friend to have, it's a must in the business world to have friends to lean on. While not known for their academics, U.A. does have an impressive General Education course, so make sure to talk to your classmates. You never know who you'll need help from in the future."

The father/son duo continued conversation out of the apartment and down their usual path before splitting up. Gerald made sure to give Doguma as much advice he could for his son's first day before jogging off to his car to avoid being late for work. Soon after, Doguma met up with his best friend, Izuku on the street before heading to their new school: U.A. High School

"-and then, Lunch Rush is the main chief at the cafeteria! That's…absolutely insane!" screeched his hero-loving friend as he continued to rant about all of the heroes, they would see during their time at U.A. "H-hopefully, I don't go too hero-crazy once I met them all….but I really wanna get some of my collectables-

"-you mean toys?"

"Ac-The-they're action figures!"

"Of course, they are Izuku…" Doguma chuckled at his best friend's antics. "I know how much you care about them…and I know how much you care about heroes. Now, I'm used to your hero-craze, but other people aren't and may find it….erm…how should I put this…" he said while rubbing his chin in thought, trying to find the suitable description of Izuku's addiction. "….unsettling, I suppose? Mhm….how negative…"

"I-I know…" muttered the greenette with unease, "It'll be different….attending U.A….I'll be in the…heroics department while you…you'll be in the general education course. While we were never in the same class during middle and elementary…being in a different class for high school..i-it just isn't the same. I still don't see how you didn't make it into the heroics department! Your quirk is great, a-and even with your injured fingers, you still could've gotten enough points-I'm sure!"

Doguma hid his guilt well. Hearing Izuku's displeasure of Doguma not getting into the heroics course was all based on a lie he told his best friend. He didn't want Izuku to know the truth of his uncertainty of becoming a hero, so lying about no doing well on the hero test was his only option. "Eh…it's alright, Izuku. I'm not that worried." He stated with fake calmness, "Just because I couldn't get in this year doesn't mean there aren't other opportunities. I'm sure my quirk will get stronger over time and I can try again no problem." He finished with a reassuring thumbs up. "How positive."

"If you say s-so…" mumbled his best friend.

"Plus, this is a new opportunity for you." Izuku perked up at Doguma's continuation, "Apparently, you've got yourself a new quirk, I hear. Congratulations for that." Smiled the dreaded teen, "Maybe now…you won't be bullied for being quirkless, even though that was never a reason to bully you in the first place. How negative….maybe you can make some friends now…"

"Fr-friends? I'm…." Izuku looked down to the ground in unease. "I'm not sure…I-I'm not…the most socially adept as most people…especially you, Doguma. It's like you can get along with anybody."

"Eh…I just know how people work." 'And used Negative enough times to understand body and social ques enough to the point where I don't need to use it to understand how people think.' He shrugged. "But the students selected to be in the heroics course must be nice…excluding Bakugo-baka…tch….what a negative person…" Doguma rolled his eyes at the mention of the ash-blonde bully. "I can't believe he got in out of all people…

Flashback

"What a wonderful treat this is, having not one, but THREE, of our students make it into U.A.'s Hero Program!"

A pissed off Bakugo, a social awkward and scared Midoriya, and a bored, uninterested Freeman stood afront their principal's desk as the man gushed at their accomplishment of becoming students of U.A. "Oh, how they said it was impossible for students from our school to make it to the prestigious U.A. High School. You three really made history!"

"Actually-

All eyes landed on the uninterested Doguma who had his right hand held up. "I didn't make it to the Hero Program. I just made it to the General Education course."

"Wh-what/WHAT!" The principal was the first to speak but was overpowered by Midoriya's shock. "Bb-b-b-ut how!? Your quirk is amazing! That test should have been a breeze for you!"

Izuku's face was evident of astonishment, but Freeman was surprised to see the slightly shocked expression on Bakugo. It seems even the ash-blonde bully knew Doguma had enough talent to get into the hero course. "Mhm…guess I just couldn't do it, sadly…" shrugged the sly teen, "My fingers were injured the night prior from an attack of delinquents. Barely made it out with my life. My test scores were phenomenally, but it looks as if I'll have to try later to get into the Hero Program U.A. offers."

"…uhmm…w-whelp, we wish you the best, Freeman-san." The principal spoke with a nod of approval. "I'm sure you'll get your chance later on in your high school career. I know firsthand how strong your quirk can be during your various fights with Bakugo-san over the years…lets make sure that doesn't happen while you two are at U.A…understood?"

"Yes sir/whatever…" were the responses from Freeman and Bakugo.

"Now! While Freeman-san didn't get in into the Hero Program, having two of our own gain acceptance is still a big accomplishment!"

Izuku shuddered as he stood in the middle of Katsuki and Doguma.

After their meeting with the principal was finished, the trio were released to go back to class, leaving Izuku in the middle of the two powerful teens. While he himself was no strong, he was only a glass-cannon compared to Doguma and Katsuki. Also, the two were sworn enemies, so being between them in an empty hallway was unsettling for sure.

Their steps echoed in the long walkway, adding to nervousness Izuku had as he felt Bakugo's annoyance roll off him in waves. 'Don't say anything. Don't say anything, Izuku. Don't provoke him. Don't say anything…'

"…."

"…."

"…."

"…."

"…."

"…..ka…..Kaachan…congrats to makin-

Instantly, Bakugo's nostril's flared as he twisted his body towards Izuku – right hand aiming for his neck to slam him against the hallway. The intruding hand was instantly caught by Doguma, pulling the ash blonde bully in and nearly stabbing his right index and middle finger into Bakugo's temple.

"Eeep!" Midoriya landed on the ground with a screech, but his concern over himself wasn't what he was worried over. Instead, his green, panic-filled eyes shot back up to the scene of Doguma holding his fingers in a threatening manner to Bakugo's temple while Bakugo left palm conjured small sparks as it hovered over Doguma's stomach. "N-NO! Doguma! Kaa-

"Hush up, Izuku…" said Doguma in a tone too calm for the predicament at hand. "We don't need any teachers hearing us. If they see us now, we'll get suspended…It could mess up your chances in U.A."

"That's right, Deku…you keep quiet over there…" Bakugo said with a devious grin as his red eyes stared daggers into Doguma's uninterested brown. "…nothings gonna happen to this Extra of All Extras….just yet…."

"You keep pulling these same shenanigans, you baka…" began Doguma, ever-relaxed even with the heat from Bakugo's palm threatening to set aflame his uniform. "…you can't keep doing this…attacking Izuku. For wha-

"Because you two bitches keep interfering with my plans!" Bakugo all but screamed through his teeth. "I was supposed to be the only one to get to U.A.! Me! Not you two fucking weaklings! I don't even know how the hell fuckin' Deku made it out of all people!"

"How Izuku made it isn't your problem. Be glad they let in someone as disgusting as you…how negative…" grunted the dual-quirked teen.

"I got it because I have the skills…" growled Bakugo, "I supposed to be a hero with my quirk! Not two little shits like you two…a freakin Deku and the Extra of All Extras. What a waste of air and space!"

Izuku saw how Doguma twitch at the mention of his name and knew he needed to stop before his best friend did something that he would regret later. "Wa-wait! Stop! We can't do this! Please!"

"I said shut the hell up, Deku!" Bakugo's quirk was flaring from his palm in response to his growing anger. "Shut up!"

"Okay, I will! But please!" Midoriya jumped from the ground and pulled at his friends' arms. "This needs to stop! Don't hurt each other!"

Suddenly, to the surprise of both Izuku and Katsuki, Doguma threw his arms around the duo's shoulder and began walking down the hallway just as one of the doors to a nearby classroom opened up. "Hey, what's going on ou-

"Great job on making it to U.A. guys." Said Doguma a painfully fake smile as the trio marched the opposite direction of the teacher looking at them, "I'm sure we'll knock them dead when we get there." He said as the trio turned the corner, out the teacher's sights.

Bakugo quickly pushed off Doguma. "Fuckin' extra…" he growled, leaving Doguma and Izuku to walk to his class by himself.

"…I ha…I heavily dislike him…." Said Doguma as he watched Bakugo's retreating back, "…how negative…"

End Flashback

"…I ha….er-hm…..I heavily dislike him…" grunted Doguma, thinking back of that day at their old school. "…..how negative…."

"I gu-guess…" muttered Izuku as they neared the school, "But let's not worry about that now. We've gotta survive in a new environment now. We'll be separated more than ever."

"True, but it won't be as hard as before. Again, you have a quirk now. Life should be easier for you since you won't have bullies…or at least, shouldn't have bullies, here at U.A…and with that, I won't have to defend you from anybody. We can live our lives while advancing in high school with peace…something we haven't had in a long time…"

"Y-yea…." Stuttered Izuku.

The duo ceased their walk once they made it to the front of U.A.'s campus. Sparkles grew in Midoriya's eyes as he stared at the grand building in fascination. Doguma chuckled at his best friend's admiration but kept his thoughts to himself. He knew how important this was for his friend…

"Alright. First step onto U.A. as 1st-years. Let's not mess up like you did last time we were here." Doguma prepped the greenette up, rubbing his shoulders in preparation. "No falling in public this time. That's embarrassing. How negative…" he said with a shake of his head. "…Let's trying walking on campus with superb balance and pep in your step. That sounds nice. How positive…"

"Right! We can do this!" Confidence radiated off the usually shy teen that was Midoriya Izuku as he raised his right foot together with his best friend. "One step for a bright new future!"

*Step*

Izuku's smile beamed with happiness as he made his first official step onto U.A.'s campus as a first year. Doguma just smiled to himself, glad that his best friend was feeling so good about himself.

"How positive…"

"Well….you're here…"

Midoriya Izuku and Freeman Doguma stood outside the entrance of Class 1-A. Doguma decided to walk his friend to his new homeroom, just to make sure his accident-prone friend got to his class okay.

"Al-alright. I guess this is where….we split ways…" said the anxious Midoriya. "We…I-I'll meet with you once school is over to walk back home. Okay?"

Doguma nodded. "Alright. You have a good day, Izuku." Doguma patted his friend's shoulder before pulling away, "…and try to make friends…" he finished with a backhanded wave as he began his walk to Class 1-C.

He could hear the loud, rambunctious voices coming from within Class 1-A and could tell that Bakugo was amongst them. The Freeman child had hoped that Bakugo and Midoriya would be in separate classes, but now he could only trust in the students in the Hero Program to keep his friend safe. '…and if not…I'll do something about…'

The dual-quirk user quietly made his way to his homeroom class: Class 1-C, one of the three General Education classes for 1st years. He entered the classroom quietly, but instantly felt nearly a dozen set of eyes land on him form. He didn't say anything to them, rather, he quickly located a set in the 4th column of desk-second closest to the column next to the windows.

'…I'm not here to make friends…these people wouldn't understand me anyway…' Was Freeman's thoughts as he claimed his desk and took out a thick book to read to himself. There were still a few eyes on him – he could feel it – but it didn't matter to him. He had already scanned the room the moment he entered. Doguma wasn't one trust looks, as he knew they could be deceiving, but from what he could see, there didn't seem to be anyone of interest.

Slowly, as time progressed, more students filled the room until there was a total of twenty students. Conversations followed as students began talking amongst themselves, getting to know one another. Doguma continued to read his book in silence – as long as none of them bothered him, there wouldn't be a problem.

Not long after, a man dressed in blue-button down suit and black slacks entered the room. He held a black briefcase in his right hand and had a distinctscar running across his nose. "Good morning, class!" stated the man, calling forth everyone's attention.

"My name is Umino Iruka…" he stated while drawing his name on the board, "…and I'll be your homeroom teacher for the year. You all will address me as either Unimo-sensei or Iruka-sensei…however, I'd prefer Iruka-sensei. I know that may not what your used to, calling your teacher by their first name, but it's just something like." He said with a charming smile, "I am looking forward to this year! Let it be a great one!"

An outcry of "Hai!" filled the room as Iruka bowed to the class. "Now…lets begin with your own introductions. One by one, tell everyone your name, birthdate, quirk….whatever information you deem important about yourself. I wish for you all to quite comfortable with one another. Let's start with the student sitting at desk number one, shall we?"

"O-oh. I guess that's me." Stuttered a brown-haired boy with brown hair. "Well…uh…my name's Hyoudou Issei…."

One by one, the students began listing themselves off, giving name, birthday, quriks, character traits, favorite foods, etc. Being friends with Izuku and being an avid reader (along with having a useful, mind altering quirk), the Freeman boy's analytical skills allowed him to read people very well. He checked off any threats, which nearly all of them weren't…

"I'm Togami Byakuya, heir of the prestigious Togami family…"

'He's just a smart aleck. Nothing else…how negative…'

"I'm Hikaru May! I'm gonna be hero one day!"

'Still hoping for a dream even though she failed into getting into the Hero Program? How positive.'

"Hello everyone! It is a pleasure to meet your acquittance! My name is Botica Sam! Let's become friends!"

"I'm Higarashi Jun…"

"Shibushi Arat."

"McDonell Chocolove's the name!"

"….Tein…."

"Partas Tatsumi!"

"…"

"….."

"….."

"Hey? Aren't you gonna go?"

It was the Partas boy next to him that brought Doguma out of his analytical spell. The entire class was looking at him, waiting for him to introduce himself to them.A tired sigh almost escaped his lips, but he didn't want to be rude. He stood up from his desk and gave a light bow to the class.

"…My name is Freeman Doguma and I am 15 years old…" he began, "My father is from America, so I half-American, half-Japanese. I was born in Tokyo but moved here when I was 7. I'm quiet…I like to read….and I don't like loud noises….sigh…and my quirk, Negative, allows me to shoot negatively-charged lasers from my fingers. I hope we can have a great year together."

That's where he left it. That's where he wanted to leave it. Sadly, for the dual-quirk user, McDonell, one of the students, spoke up. "Hey! I remember you! I was apart of your group in the Practical Exam! How did you not make it into the Hero Course? You were amazing out there!"

"I remember as well…" spoke another; this time being the Togami heir vocalizing his thoughts, "You were quite impressive out there, taking out all those villain bots from the rooftop. You've had to taken out at least a few dozen. Why aren't you apart of the Hero Program, Freeman-san?"

Small murmurs rummaged the room. Now, Doguma was the center of attention. He hated being the center of attention.

'How negative…'

"The only reason why I even took the Practical Exam was to support a friend who wanted to become a hero." He stated, ending all the whispers, "Thankfully, my friend made it into one of the available hero classes. I only went because he didn't want to do it alone. I don't des-…I don't want to be a hero." The statement drew surprise from many of his new classmates. "I want to be something quiet…. like a librarian…..sigh…or an accountant…..that is it or me…."

With that, he ended his introduction, even if anyone else had further questions. The introductions continued on, but it was clear that Doguma was the man of interest of the class.'Literally, the last thing I wanted…' was all he thought as he ignored the introductions. It wasn't like he cared about these people, anyhow. If he became friends with them later, then good. He wouldn't have a problem with that, but the last thing he wanted was for them to figure out too much about him.

'Hopefully, Izuku makes some friends in his class. I'll give him enough space so that he can get to know them. If I'm too close, he'll try to latch onto me, taking away the opportunity to build relationships with his hero friends. He'll need them in the future….I still don't know what quirk he has now, but I'm sure that'll pop up in the future….I'll have to keep away from him during lunch…make sure he doesn't run to me for to feel comforta-

"My name is Shinso Hitoshi. I don't have any interest in making friends with any of you. My goal is to become a hero and join the Hero Program offered here at U.A. I didn't do well during the Practical Exam because my quirk didn't fit well with the requirements to do 'well' for the practical, but I will get my opportunity one day….and because I know you all are interested, my quirk is Brainwashing. I can control a person's body and give simple commands if a certain…condition…is met. It is with this quirk that I will become a hero."

The room was silent as Shinso finished his introduction. The purple-haired teen sat down in his seat, satisfied with his introduction of himself.

Curosity filled Doguma as he gauged his classmates' reaction. Just for a moment, he activated Negative to see what everyone was feeling of Shinso after his introduction and, more importantly, his quirk…

Fear.

Worry.

Distrust.

'Heh…as expected…' he chuckled to himself as he glanced at Shinso once more. The teen's introduction actually struck a chord with the dual-quirked deadhead. 'He has an 'evil' quirk as well…and judging by how everyone is looking and feel about him….they don't seem to like Shino-san a lot…'

"U-Uhm….you can really…brainwash people?" asked a random student. The fear in the student's eyes was evident as he felt uneasy about Shinso.

"Yes…from when I've used it in the pass, people say that they can see and feel their body move but can't do anything other than watch from a 'backseat' point of view." He explained.

"…O-oh…" stuttered the student, ending the conversation there.

Hitoshi was unbothered; rather, he kept his same, uninterest look he had before as he continued staring out the window.

'Hmm….how positive…' thought one impressed Freeman.

"-and this class of 1st-years will continue to be the shining example of what it is to be U.A. student!" shouted Nezu, the cat-dog-bear-mouse-chimera animal….space alien-Doguma didn't know how to describe the…..the principal as he….wait…..was it?...'No, no, no….refering to your principal as an 'it' is disrespectful…but is it a male? He sounds like one but…..what is he-it…this….living creature….'

"Please trust in your teachers and I'm sure you all will learn much during your first year as high schoolers. Also, get along with your classmates. You'll be spending the rest of high school with them, so it would be best for you all-

The sound of a loud explosion echoed from outside. Small vibrations shook the auditorium the 1st-year classes gathered for the entrance ceremony. The loud boom caused a clutter of confusion and worry from the students, but Principal Nezu just chuckled. "Oh, that Aizawa…" he sighed, "Please forgive the noise everyone. Seems one of the instructors of the hero class, more specifically Class 1-A, has decided to start their hero training early. Hehehe….oh well…" he shrugged, "If there are anymore noise like before, please ignore it for the duration of the ceremony. Aizawa-san is training the future generation of heroes after all, so it'd be best too leave them as they are."

Nezu continued his speech the crowd of excited 1st-years, but Doguma's attention was focused on the…..animal principal….instead, he slyly glanced down to the tightened fist resting Hitoshi's leg. The purple-haired teen sat next to him, a true coincidence, and the annoyance was evident on his tired face.

'…..he wants to be apart of the hero class…' thought Doguma, somewhat saddened by the taller teens anger.

Lunch.

Doguma never liked lunch period.

By definition, lunch period would be his favorite time of day. He'd get a break from school, he'd eat good food that his father made for him, catch up on a book that he was reading – lunch SHOULD be his favorite time of day. However, the lunch period at his old school was the time were many of Izuku's bullies would grow brave, so Doguma's free time was spent making sure his best friend was okay and he never got to enjoy the period.

However now, as he stood with his plate in hand, he didn't have to watch over Izuku. He spotted his green-haired best friend eating lunch with students Doguma assumed to be his 1-A classmates. '….and he seems to be….actually talking? That's….that's great….how positive…'

With that problem now solved, Doguma was put in the awkward position of not knowing where to go. There were still empty spots available, but the protective need to make sure Izuku was okay was also present within him. '….gah….just leave him be, Doguma…' thought the dreaded teen as he made his way to an empty table, 'Izuku can take care of himself now…maybe I can finally enjoy my lunch break for once…'

Onigiri and chicken teriyaki.

Doguma felt the increase of saliva in his mouth as he stared at his favorite food. Doguma didn't want to betray his father as his favorite chief alive, but Lunch Rush was a Pro-hero and rumored culinary god. The smell was divine-better than how his father's chicken teriyaki smelled.

The moment he bit down into his meal; a tear nearly escaped his eye. It was clear to him that Lunch Rush was now his favorite chief by a large margin. 'Forgive me, Father, for I have betrayed you…'

Opening an e-book on his phone, Doguma's peace was acquired as he sat in silence: phone in one hand with a novel displayed; chopsticks in the other as munched on his lunch. He was completely alone, and while the cafeteria was slightly noisy, Doguma ignored the noise around him. He understood that he was in a cafeteria and the students weren't required to eat silently. As long as no one bothered him and his peace, then everything wou-

"Hello!"

Peace destroyed.

Glancing to his left, the dual-quirked child didn't see anybody.

"Down here!"

Lowering his eyes, he was greeted to the sight of a smiling Nezu, principal of U.A. Academy.

"….did I do something wrong, Nezu-sensei?"

"Oh, heavens no! I just wanted to have a small chat with a student that has gained my interest!"

It was cute how the cat-dog-bear-mouse-space alien-talking animal-principal had to climb up on the seat next to Doguma. His head was barely higher than the table itself as the principal got out his lunch. "How has your day been so far, Freeman-san? I hope U.A. has been good to you so far."

"Hmm…it's been pleasantly well…" Doguma took note of the eyes now on him since he was sitting with the principal of U.A. He hated being the center of attention. "An absolute upgrade from my middle school. I believe I'll enjoy my years here as a student."

"Oh, that's splendid!" smiled the…..mammal…."I'm glad to hear that…however, I am interest as to why a student who is in top five in points collected in the practical exam in U.A. history denies the opportunity to train in our hero program. You do know how hard it is to get into that course, correct?"

"I do, but I don't desire to become a hero." Explained the teen, "The only reason why I took the exam was to support my friend, Midoriya Izuku. We come from the same school and he wanted me to take the exam with him."

"Ah! The child that registered as quirkless whose quirk manifested at the right moment? This is interesting!" clapped Nezu, "And that means you also came from the same school as Bakugo Katsuki, correct?"

"….that is correct…you really seem to know a lot about students…."

"How could I not? All of my students are just so interesting!"

Nezu's statement made Doguma question how much the principal knew about all his students, but the furry friend continued speaking before the teen could voice his thoughts. "The show you put on really piqued my interest. You were the first to move out of all the participants and achieved feat many can't say they've done: defeat a zero-pointer."

"I had help. I didn't do it by myself."

"This is true! I also give my hat off to Minoru-san as well, but it is true that you were the leader of the duo, facilitating an excellent strategy and saving you both. You also helped him when it wouldn't benefit yourself and saved others during the exam. I must say, even if you only achieved 15 points, I would have still put you in the Hero Program because you deserve to be ther-

"No, I don't."

Doguma had to cut off the quirked animal before he finished that statement. "I…I don't deserve anything. I don't want to be a hero. The only reason why I took the test to support my friend. I don't want to become a hero."

Nezu's small black eyes glanced at the Freeman child with an unseen uncertainty. Doguma remained quiet, returning back to his food. "Well then….that's unfortunate. I'm sure you would become a great hero….but, if that isn't what you want, I understand. Tell me, what do you plan on becoming in the future?"

"Now I can't have the hero son I've always wanted! So now, you become an accountant and, HOPEFULLY, you'll be able to work for me when I'm the CEO of the company I'm working for now as I could hire you!"

The quirked animal rose a non-existent eyebrow as Doguma sighed in annoyance. "Something a matter?"

"Yes….but it isn't your fault….I'm gonna be an accountant…" grumbled the dreaded teen, "…..how negative…"

"Hey! You two! Headed to the station? Wait up!?"

'Erk! It's a girl! Talking to me!' thought the easily freaked Midoriya as the brown-haired girl from his class ran over to where he and Tenya were.

"Ah, it's the infinity girl." Said Tenya.

"I'm Ochako Uraraka!" the anti-gravity quirked girl introduced herself, "Uhm…you're Tenya Iida and Midoriya..uh…D-Deku, right?"

"Deku?!" shouted the green-haired hero.

"Hmm? During the test…" continued Ochako, "…that Bakugo guy said, "Damn you, Deku!", right?"

"Oh um.." he stuttered, "My real name is Izuku….'Deku' is just Kacchan being a bully…"

"A derogatory pet name then?" said the concerned Tenya.

"Oh, gotcha! Sorry! Sorry! I didn't know…but…" the cute brunette held up a fist of empowerment, "…'Deku'…well, it just screams, "Do your best!" I kinda like it!" she finished with a smile.

The socially awkward child instantly clung to Opacho's new viewpoint of his nickname solely off the fact that she was a girl. "DEKU'S FINE!"

"No, it isn't."

The voice of the newcomer quickly put a smile on Midorya's face as he turned to see his best friend, Freeman Doguma, approaching the group with his hands in both pockets in a cool-like manner. "That baka Bakugo gave that name to my friend to make fun of him. I hate that name and never use it."

"O-oh…." Uraraka shuddered from the dark look in Doguma's eyes as the teen stopped infront of the trio. "I..I-I didn't mean to offend…I just…."

"No, no! It's alright, Doguma!" waved off Midoriya in an effort to avoid confrontation. "T-Tenya-san! Ochako-san! This is my best friend, Freeman Doguma! We met in elementary when he moved to Musutafu and have been friends ever since!"

"Ah! Well, it is very nice to meet one of Midoriya-san's friends! I am Tenya Iida, as you just heard! I look forward to spending the rest of the year with you, Freeman-san!"

"….right…." Doguma shook Tenya's excited hand. 'He's very loud…how negative…'"Well…it's nice to know that you have friends. I assume your first day went well?"

"I-It did! I have to tell you all about it, Doguma!" Midoriya was quick to give his friend a summary of his day as the four teens made their way to the station.

"Sochi!" the elder-Freeman kicked open their apartment door and walked into the living room; Doguma was doing his daily exercise-now doing a few one-handed handstand push ups while watching the news. He wasn't even disturbed by his loud father bursting into their home-he'd been experiencing it all his life. "It's good to see you, son! How was your first day."

"Productive…" grunted Doguma as he continued his exercise, "My class seems nice….the food there is pretty good…'sorry, Tou-san…I had to lie about the food to protect your fragile ego…'….I also met the principal today…it-…he sat with me during lunch period."

"Oh really?" Gerald threw himself and briefcase on the couch in front of Doguma, "That's interesting…hopefully it wasn't for anything bad, rightttt?"

"Correct…" Doguma rolled his eyes at his father's distrust, "I didn't get in trouble on my first day, Pops."

"Well stop acting like that's such a wild accusation. That has happened before." He said with sass, "You are going to school with that Bakugo-prick still."

"We're in different classes…"

"You two were in different classes all throughout elementary and middle school and still fought."

"…. you're right…..how negative…."

Gerald chuckled, gloating in his small victory. "Just wanted to make sure everything was good. It was your first day of high school after all!...so…..she any girls yo-

"Let's stop this conversation while we're ahead." Grunted the teen as he switched from a left to right handstand, "I'm uncomfortable with this conversation…how negative…."

"Ah, come on now, sochi! You look great, got a powerful quirk, smart! Why wouldn't the girls be asking for you number?" Gerald said with a perverted wiggle of his eyebrows, "If I were you, I'd be telling everyone about those super impressive numbers you got in the practical exam! I'm sure that would impress the ladies!"

"Unfortunately…" sighed the younger Freeman, "…there were people in my class that saw my performance during the practical exam and brought it up during my introduction to everyone. Also, a lot of people saw Principal Nezu sit with me during lunch. I didn't want to attract attention to myself-

"Because you hate being the center of attention."

"-exactly, but it seems like that's now thrown out of the window…." He grunted. "Now, everyone is looking at me because of Minus and because I have the principal's interest…how negative…."

Gerald hummed in thought, trying to come up to a solution to his son's problem as the child switch to doing crunches. "Well….I guess you can use this new light on you to make some new friends." He suggested, "I know you don't want to, but have people to lean on is a pretty comfortable feeling. I have tons of friends and look how happy I am!" he said with a wide smile.

Doguma stared at his father with disinterest. "….wow…..how positive…."

"Exactly." He grinned, not caring for his son's sarcasm, "You're gonna need friends in life, sochi. That's how I'm as successful I am now. People like me. I help people and they help me in return. We learn from one another. I know you don't trust many people, but just give it a try son. I'm sure you'll appreciate another person other than Izuku to talk to….and with him in the Hero Program…..something you should be in, too…" he grumbled in displeasure, "…..you won't be seeing him as much."

Gerald left his son with is wisdom to fix something up for dinner. The dual-quirked teen was silent, thinking over his father's words. Whenever his father gave him knowledge, he would always listen. The comedic man was very intelligent-he just hardly used it on things other than work. '…but I guess he does have a point….' the younger Freeman thought over, '…I won't be seeing Izuku as much now….it's not like I've been with him a lot in the past year since he had been training in preparation for the entrance exam for U.A…maybe…maybe I should try….'

It had been three days since Doguma's conversation with his father….

'I should have never listened to that man…'

Doguma was currently holding in his annoyance as he was surrounded by loud sounds. One of the ways he wanted to…put himself out there, in a way…was to sit with his classmates during lunch. Many had expressed their want for him to sit with them during lunch to get to know the boy that did so well on the Practical Exam. What he hated was the noise that came with sitting with thee students; not being able to read his book in peace in frustration because of the jittering and laughter coming from his academic peers.

'I am not enjoying myself…' Doguma sweat dropped as he had to suffer through another one of Chocolove's obnoxious laughs that reached decibels that should be impossible to reach. Everyone at his table seemed to be enjoying themselves, but the Freeman child remained quiet. It would have obvious that the dual-quirked teen didn't want to be there based on his blank stare, but Doguma's usual expression was a blank, uninterested stare. Only Izuku would know when his friend was annoyed or wanted to leave an environment through feeling alone. Sadly, the Midoriya child was caught up with his hero friends that he needed to get closer with, so running to him wasn't an option.

'However…'

Doguma's brown-eyes landed on one Shinso Hitoshi, sitting alone at his own table across the cafeteria. The tired eye teen stood up, threw his leftover food away, and headed to the bathroom.

Hitoshi was the only person Freeman was interested in. He was quiet, got his work down, seemed intelligent, and didn't like attention (from what Doguma analyzed from the tall teen). The two hadn't talk at all since school started, but Doguma could tell that the boy was being isolated by his classmates-most likely because of his quirk. They feared him, hoping not to be brainwashed by the Hitoshi. He didn't seem to be the most welcoming person, either.

People stayed away from him because of his quirk. He didn't close to people because his goal wasn't making friends….

It was becoming a hero….

"I need to go to the bathroom. Excuse me…"

The dreaded teen left his table with hardly a warning and made his way to the bathroom. When he got there, he saw that Hitoshi was surrounded by three other boys-most likely from another class. It seemed like Hitoshi wanted to wash his hands after relieving himself, but the trio was stopping him.

"This is that guy with the brainwashing quirk." Said a guy with blue hair that looked wet and had tentacles for arms. "People like you don't deserve to be at U.A. Your quirk is evil. You're probably waiting for the right moment to use it on a teacher or something. People with quirk like yours are always waiting to use it against people just to make life easier for yourself!"

"That isn't true. I will use my quirk to become a hero." Hitoshi stood strong in his goal, even in the face of his new bullies as they began laughing at him.

"You? A hero? I didn't think some that looks so boring and have an evil quirk could even have thoughts like that!"

"You could never make it into the Hero Program! Hell, even I couldn't get into it, so what makes you think-

"Stop being such losers…."

The three bullies and Shinso heard an unknown voice coming from the entrance: that voice belonging to Freeman Doguma. "What?" said the tentacle-arm boy, "Who are you? Stay outta our business!"

"You're making fun of my classmates, so he is my business." Without an ounce of fear, the dreaded teen stepped up to the slightly taller wet-haired teen. "You and your friends can find something better to do with your time than bullying…how negative…please leave before I report you all."

"Tch?! Report us!" grunted the tentacle-armed teen. "I wouldn't let you leave this bathroom! Keep talking like that!"

"Woah…wait a second…" said one of the trio, holding back his tentacle friend, "That's….that's the kid who got all those points in the Entrance Exam…he even was sitting with the principal the other day. Messing with him isn't a good idea."

The unnamed leader grunted in displeasure. His lackies words seemed to put some fear into him as he as stepped back from Doguma after learning of his capabilities. "Tch…..wha-whatever!" he scowled as he walked by Doguma, "I wouldn't want to be around that lame anyway…"

The trio left, leaving Hitoshi and Doguma to themselves. The duo silently went to their own sink and began washing their hands, basically ignoring what just happened and the other person.

"…."

"….."

"…"

"…"

"…"

"….."

"….I didn't need your help…"

Shinso voiced his thoughts as he began drying his hands. "I had the situation under control. Don't think I'm weak or anything."

"I never thought you were weak." replied Doguma, "Having a brainwashing quirk would be quite useful in the field. I've already analyzed many scenarios that would become easier and save live lives with your quirk."

Shinso raised an eyebrow at his shorter classmate. "Oh….forgive me…I don't want you to think that I just think about that all the time. My best friend since childhood is a quirk anaylist. I've picked up the habit, though, not as much as he is, and I've been good at predicating how quirks can be used."

"….so you don't think my quirk is evil?"

"…..I'm not sure…." admitted Doguma. The answer caused the purple-haired teen to scowl at Doguma. "Based off my-…I see why society would consider your quirk to be evil….I….it is a shame, though, that you're judged for-

"Shut up." Shinso was glaring daggers at Doguma, "You don't know what the hell you're talking about. Of course, it's a shame that people avoid me for my quirk, but that's just how life is. I will still be a hero, regardless. There is no such thing as an evil quirk, and I don't what you or anyone else in this school says. I am not evil. My quirk isn't evil. How dare you for believing that."

Hitoshi grunted as he made his way out of the bathroom, "Tch….what disappointment. I almost thought for a second that you were different since you helped me….but I gue-

"I have an evil quirk."

The sudden confession cut Shinso's rant off. The general surprise was clear from how his usually half-lidded eyes were slightly more open than usual. "….what…what did you just say?"

"I have an evil quirk. Ac-actually…I have two quirks…I just hide the other…" Doguma admitted. He could feel his entire body shaking as he spoke. He never told anyone about his quirk since he left Tokyo. It was a new and uncomfortable experience for the child. "My laser quirk is called Minus…but my second quirk is called Negative…and it functions similar to your own quirk…."

Shinso seemed to have gained interest with Doguma's confession as he closed the bathroom door behind him-no longer wanting to leave. "My quirk allows me to control people's body whenever my victim verbally responds to me."

"….my quirk…Negative….is based around controlling the negative energy inside of people. Negative energy is created based off of negative feelings like anger, sadness, depression and more….I can absorb one's negative energy or increase it, forcing my victim feel more emotion than usual. I can use it as a form of 'hyper suggestion' using their emotions and suggesting that they do something to get rid of it/feel better…though, they will never feel better seeing as I can easily force more negative emotion inside of them…..It…I-I can control people if I wanted too….make them do…things….and if I or someone else absorbs too much negative energy….." Doguma could only stare at the floor in shame as he reminisced, "….bad things….bad things happen…"

"…..why are you telling me this?" was all that Shinso said after a few moments of silence. "If you've been hiding this quirk…why tell me? I'm not your friend. Don't think just because we have similar quirks doesn't mean anything."

"I'm telling you because this is the first time in my life that I've told someone else about my quirk….well, somebody other than my father. Even my best friend doesn't know about Negative…those that figured out my quirk called me a monster when I was a child…I was forced to move from Tokyo to the Shizuoka Prefecture here in Musutafu. I…this is first time telling this to anybody….forgive me, but I just feel…uncomfortable…..how negative…..but…..I'm forcing myself to talk anyway so that you can trust and understand me…..how positive…."

Shinso glare had softened into a neutral stare by now. He was now generally interested in the boy that in front of him. To the purple-haired teen, it was as if he had found someone that could understand him. "…and you don't want to be a hero? Your quirk is quite strong."

"No." Doguma quickly denied, "I don't deserve to be a hero…I just want to live quietly. I'll support my friends that will become heroes, like Izuku…and hopefully you."

Doguma held out a hand to the taller teen. After a few moments of thinking, Shinso accepted the handshake with a small, rare smile on his face. "Seems like coming to U.A. was the right move. Nice to meet you, Freeman Doguma."

Doguma chuckled as he tightened his grip on Shinso's hand. "It's nice to meet you as well, Shinso Hitoshi."

"I'm sitting with Shinso-san."

Without warning, Doguma grabbed his plate from the table he was sitting at and walked over to where Shinso was sitting alone. Everyone at his table stared in confusion as Doguma walked away, leaving them without explanation.

"…uh….what?" stuttered Chocolove.

"Now, I know that this is your second day, but to make sure everyone is familiarizing themselves with everyone, I want you all to group up for a homework assignment and research a hero or anyone in high-society that you all look up to. Two to three people to a group, everyone." said Iruka-sensei to the class, "Now, since many of you are still unfamiliar with one another, I'll just pick randomly-

"Iruka-sensei."

"Ah…y-yes…Freeman-san, correct?"

"Yes sir. I would like to pair with Shinso-san."

"Oh?" Even Iruka seemed surprised with Doguma's request, "Well…I was going to call people randomly, but if Shinso-san is okay with it…"

"I am fine with that." confirmed the tired looking teen.

"Ah! Well that's great. You two shall be a team!" confirmed their teacher.

Doguma checked his phone when he felt it vibrate in his pocket. "Library after school?" was the text Shinos sent him.

"Agreed." he texted back.

"Since you're the hero coinsurer, I believe you'll have a hero of interest to research?" asked Shinso as Doguma and he were headed to the library for research.

"I have a few recommendations. But I'll like to see what the library here has to offer."

"True…we should also take the time to walk around campus to see wh-

BOOMMM!

The thunderous boom that occurred down the hallway shocked the evil quirked duo as the entire hallway was layered in soot. The two quickly covered their mouths and ran towards the source of the explosion, wanting to make sure no one was hurt.

"Gaahh….that didn't go out as I planned!" screeched a voice. The body outlined in the smoke groaned as it stood up after being thrown against the wall outside of the entrance of the Support Course class 1-H. "Hehe! My babies really are putting up a fight."

"Are you alright?" questioned Shinso once they made it to the recovering girl. "You took a pretty hard hit…"

"OH YEA! I'M FINE!" exclaimed the girl as the smoke began to clear.

Doguma didn't know what happened, but he felt his heart thump dangerously inside of him as he saw the beaming white smile of whoever he was currently looking at. Her smile screamed positive energy, and her eyes were filled with passion and determination. He almost instinctively turned on Negative just to make to what the girl was feeling.

…his breath hitched as he felt almost ZERO negative energy with her.

The girl in front of him was like a sun of positive energy. She had long pink dreads, yellow eyes with crosshair-shaped irises. She was wearing a plain black tank top with workshop coveralls tied around her waist. She had a very shapely figure for a teen, but the dual-quirked child hardly cared for her physical appearance and was absolutely astonished someone like her could exist with nearly zero negative energy. 'Wha…what is she…she…she's like a bright star…..'

"Haha! It's been a challenge with this baby, but I'm sure I'll get it soon!" the girl dusted herself off before rushing back into the workshop studio, leaving a confused Shinso and a silent Freeman in the hallway.

"Ugh..that girl…" a shorter man covered in heavy industrial equipment and no shirt walked out of the smoking room. "Always a pain to deal with…even on the second day of classes…"

The man sighed as he approached the two teens. "Hey…you two aren't hurt, eh? I'd hate that Hatsume-san's excitement for creation got someone hurt."

"No sir, we're fine. We ran down here after hearing the explosion. We just wanted to make sure no one was hurt." replied Shinso. He raised a mental brow at his new friend that was still silent and staring off in space. "I'm guessing that the explosion was just an accident?"

"Yes…that girl Hatsume…" grunted the smaller man, "….I'm Power Loader…I teach the Support Course for first-years. Whenever you hear an explosion coming from this general direction, just know that it mostly nothing….usually…."

"Oh…well, I'm glad no one hurt. You have a good day."

"You two as well." Power Loader waved off as he entered the studio-the automatic metal door closing behind him.

Shinso glanced at his friend, questioning why the Freeman child was still so quiet. "Are you alright?"

Doguma slowly turned to his new friend and took in a deep breath. "Shinso-san….."

"Yea?"

"…..I think I'm in love."

Hahahah! I'm back! Sorry for the long time it took to update. Thanksgivign and coming back home for the holidays put a damper on my creative ability. We back tho with this chapter that I really liked. The first day of class for our boy Doguma has past now as we continue the story.

I really like Doguma's character, man. I also really like typing his name. The placement of the letters in his name just feels really good to jump around to. See? Doguma. Doguma. Doguma….Doguma, Doguma, Doguma…..ahhhh! So satisfying….

But yea-with that, we have the main squad finally introduced into the story-Doguma, Hitoshi and Mei! Hitoshi and Mei for Doguma will be his Ochaco and Iida for Izuku. This is his Dogu-squad, if you will. I'm glad I've finally got to this part of the story. Now, Doguma has someone he can hang with that understands him, and now he has a crush. Now, it being Mei, we all know that this relationship will be….different than most, lol.

I'm really looking forward to the rest of the chapters, especially the coming. It'll really follow Doguma more now that he and Izuku are truly separated. He has Hitoshi and Mei now, so the story will focus more of them now without Izuku. He will make some minor appearances, tho.

Tell me how you guys like the story, ya dig? A lot of you all liked the last chapter, so hopefully you like this one. Their won't be much action until the tournament, which I also have a plan for. For those who know me, my action scenes are very detailed so….know Ima go crazy for that….

Make sure to fav, follow and review on the story! I really like reading everyone's reviews. It helps me more than you know.

But yea, that's it for me.
