Roman found Veronica in their room. She was twirling the envelope in her hands. She looked up as he entered.

"If you don't want to open it and read it, that's fine. We can burn it and be done with it.", he said, setting down his leather jacket.

"Actually, I was wondering if you would be okay with me reading it alone.", she said.

"Of course. If you need me, I will be in our office", he smiled.

She nodded and watched him walk out. She ripped open the top and pulled out the folded paper.

"Veronica, firstly I want to apologize. It should have been me to shoot you, not Kenny. Which I don't think he was actually trying to hit you.

Any how, I still can't wrap my head around the fact that you are getting married. It just doesn't fit you, marriage. We are alike that way.

Trust me on this, you will turn on him the way I turned on your father. Its inevitable. We aren't meant to be happy or in love.

Children will not bring you the joy I thought it would. You will make him miserable.

You feel nothing, I feel nothing. You think you love him, but you don't. Its all in your head. End things now before you make it worse for him.

Or not, I like seeing the people around me in pain. That, makes me happy.

Love, Mommy"

Veronica couldn't stop herself from reading it over and over again. Was she exactly like her mom? Would she end up hurting Roman? She couldn't live with herself if she did.

Would she be able to love her children when the time came? She had only felt fear once, and that was when she got shot. The fear wasn't for herself though, it was the thought of losing Roman that scared her.

She didn't want Roman to be miserable. She wanted him happy and smiling all the time. She loved his smile most of all. Maybe she shouldn't marry him? She would give up her happiness for him.

The next morning, Brie had made her first appointment. Thankfully Patricia was able to help get her one for today. Everyone was excited to see baby Ambrose first picture.

"Still have time to run", Brie whispered to him.

He chuckled and shook his head no.

"Honestly, I'm really excited about this.", he replied.

He locked his hand with hers. It was comforting for both and it felt right.

"Brie Garcia?", a nurse called.

Brie and Dean stood, following the woman to the back room. She asked Brie a few questions, which Dean just nodded along too. He watched the nurse pull out a needle.

"Whoa, wait, what's that for?", he asked, standing between the nurse and Brie.

"Its okay Dean, she just needs a sample of my blood", Brie smiled and squeezed his arm.

"It won't hurt the baby?", he asked.

Both women laughed softly.

"I promise it won't, Mr. Ambrose", the nurse replied.

He nodded and moved beside Brie. Once the nurse was done, she asked Dean to press gauze to it.

"I don't like this. Are all these tests necessary?", he asked.

"Yes. They are to make sure I'm healthy and that baby is as well.", she replied.

"Fine, as long as that's the only reason why", he mumbled.

She kissed his cheek and he blushed. The doctor came in and asked Brie to lay back. Covering her bottom half, Dean watched with a raised brow as the doctor grabbed a wand looking thing.

"Okay, you will feel some pressure", the doctor said.

When Dean realized where the doctor was putting that wand, he cut him off.

"Oh hell no doc, you better step back", Dean said.

"Dean", Brie gasped.

"Mr. Ambrose, the pregnancy is still too early. If you want to see your peanut today, I have to do a transvaginal ultrasound.", the doctor explained calmly.

He knew who Dean was and didn't want to piss him off. He could also see the outline of Dean's gun on his hip right under his shirt.

"Dean", Brie said, reaching for his hand.

Dean nodded and took her hand, sitting beside her. The doctor cleared his throat before sitting back down and doing his job.

"Now, keep an eye on the monitor. Your little one should be popping up soon", he said.

The doctor smiled and pointed to their baby.

"Oh, wow", he added.

"What? My kid's okay, right? Doc?", Dean said.

The doctor smiled and nodded.

"More than okay. Looks like he or she has a little buddy with them.", the doctor said, pointing to another peanut.

"Wait, what? Two? Twins?", Brie asked.

The doctor nodded.

"Is there a history in your family?", the doctor asked.

"Yes, I have a twin. My dad also has twin brothers.", Brie said.

Dean swallowed. He wasn't prepared for two babies, one, yeah sure, but two.

"Dean?", Brie said, after seeing the blood drain from Dean's face at the news.

"Oh, yeah, two. Great", he nodded.

Brie could see that he wasn't as excited as he previously was. She released his hand, and she was disappointed when he didn't reach for it again.

It was good while it lasted, she couldn't help but think.

"I'll give you two a minute and I'll get your pictures for you", the doctor said.

"Thank you", she replied softly.

Brie bit her lip. Dean was now standing in front of the screen, arms crossed over his chest.

"This can't be happening", he mumbled.

When Dean got back to the club, Roman and Seth cornered him. Asking to see the picture of their future niece or nephew. He showed them.

"Why does this one say baby A, and that one baby B?", Seth asked.

Dean cleared his throat.

"Holy shit, are you two having twins?", Roman asked excited.

"That's great", Seth said, squeezing Dean's shoulder.

Dean moved away, letting Seth's hand fall. He paced.

"No, not great. One baby, I can protect, but two. I can't protect two and Brie", he said.

"You have us, we can help", Roman said, as Seth nodded.

"And what happens when you two have kids? We can't protect our families all at once.", he shouted.

"Dean…", Seth tried to say.

"Fuck man", Dean said.

"Dean", Seth shouted.

He finally stopped and faced his brothers.

"Did you forget who the mother is? Brie can protect her babies too. She will have her sisters, and I doubt anyone will try to hurt her or those babies as long as Garcia is still alive and in charge", Seth said.

"I'm scared, man.", Dean said.

"You are going to be okay. Promise", Roman added.

"You didn't mention any of this to Brie, did you?", Seth asked.

"No, but, I think she got the feeling. I wasn't really downplaying my feelings", he mumbled.

"Fuck Dean, you need to make this right.", Roman said.

Seth nodded, but before Dean could reply, Veronica walked in.

"Hey baby, missed you this morning", Roman said, standing to meet her.

When he had gone to bed last night, Veronica was already asleep. Then when he woke up, she was gone. They didn't have time to talk about the letter.

"Everything okay?", he asked, when he saw the look on her face.

"I can't marry you", she said, before taking off out the door.

"What?", he asked, running after her.

"What was that about?", Seth asked Dean.

He shrugged, then remembered yesterday.

"Shit, she got a letter from her mom. How much you want to bet she said something to get Veronica to change her mind", Dean said.

Dean went after Roman and Ronnie. Seth pulled his phone out.

"Somethings up with Ronnie. She just broke things off with my brother"- Seth

"Where is she?"- Bayley

"At our club. Roman went after her. Dean said something about Ronnie getting a letter from your mom"- Seth

"Shit okay. Hold tight, I'll let Mel know. Thanks Seth"- Bayley

He ran after his brothers as well, but before he could get outside, Roman was bringing Ronnie back in over his shoulder. She was shouting her protest in Spanish. Punching his back and trying to kick him.

"Melina should be here soon", Seth said.

Roman growled.

"This is between me and my wife. Why would you call her?", Roman said.

"I am not your wife. We aren't married. Thank god", Ronnie shouted.

Roman flinched. They knew the, thank God, part hurt him. Which they didn't understand why she was trying to hurt him, but they knew it had to do with her mother.

Maybe that was the only reason they needed.

"Because if anyone understands their mom, its her.", Seth replied.

As much as Roman hated to admit it, he was right.

"Fine, tell her to knock when she arrives. I need a talk with my wife alone first", Roman said.

Dean and Seth nodded. He walked into the back room and slammed the door shut. He set Veronica down and she tried to push past him.

"Talk to me. What happened? What did your mom say in that letter?", he asked.

"Nothing", she shouted.

"This is not nothing.", he shouted back.

She stopped fighting him.

"I can't stay with you. I'll only turn into her. I'll make you miserable, and you'll lose your smile. I don't want you to lose your smile", she said.

He touched her cheek gently.

"I love your smile. Its my favorite part about you", she said softly.

He smiled.

"Then don't leave me. You are the reason for it.", he replied.

"I can't and I won't be the reason why you're miserable", she mumbled.

"Sweetheart, I never said I was. I love being around you. Seeing your beautiful face in the morning and before I go to bed at night. When I get to kiss you, look into your eyes and tell you how much I love you. Those are the best parts of my day, without them, I am miserable", he replied.

"That's the same thing she said, and look how they turned out. I don't want to be like that with you", she said.

"Like your parents? Baby, we are nothing like them. You love me, right? I'm sorry to say this, but I don't think your mom ever loved your dad.", he said.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. He kissed her forehead.

"I love you", she whispered.

He smiled.

"I know", he replied.

Someone knocked.

"Come in", he called.

The door opened to Melina. She sighed.

"What the fuck is going on?", she asked, out of breath.
