And here we are. Monika's first true chapter outside of the game and in a new world. Be noted that not only are we viewing Monika's point of view, but once we reach that point, we will also see the story in Elsa's point of view as well. Don't ask me why it was Monika's idea. Anyway, I better get this chapter started before she has a chance to interrupt me. So anyway, all rise for the queen's coronation as we begin the first chapter of, "Doki Doki Frozen Emerald".
(Monika/ Inside Arendelle Castle Chapel)
As Monika walked to a seat inside the chapel she marveled at the architecture as she never saw this inside Doki Doki Literature Club. Before the soon to be queen arrived, Monika took a look outside as she saw birds flying past the window as if they were lively for the coronation as well.
Yet as Monika gave a slight wave to them, she could swear she saw one of them flap their wings to her as a sign of a hello as well. Yet before she could find out, the priest announced the new queen's arrival. "All Rise for Princess Anna and her sister to be queen, Elsa." The Priest called as everyone rose from their seats, including Monika.
As Monika looked down the aisle where she was sitting, she first saw Princess Anna and another woman in what looked like a blue and black gown with blonde braided hair and a purple train following behind her. She however didn't get a good look at her face yet as she was on the other side of Anna from where Monika was sitting.
'So that's Anna's sister?' Monika thought as Elsa was crowned. Then Monika saw what looked like a golden and jeweled staff and orb being held on a pillow by the priest. But Monika also noticed Elsa hesitating to take her gloves off as she then took them off and held the staff and orb and then look to the crowd as the priest made the vows of rights.
Monika now managed to see her face but what she saw, was a different version of… herself. She didn't ponder why as she noticed the queen looking down at the orb and staff with a worried look when Monika suddenly noticed ice starting to form on the staff and orb. However, it didn't seem like anyone else had noticed. Now worried herself Monika looked to her hands starting to wonder if this new Queen also had powers like her as well.
She couldn't ponder this long as the priest finished the vows as the queen quickly then sat the staff and orb back on the pillow and placed her gloves back on. The crowd then cheered for the queen. All except Monika who was still looking at her hands with worry on her face now thinking about consequences if anyone saw her powers in the future.
As the crowd kept cheering Monika then slipped out as she wanted to for once in her life be away from everyone. However, even though the crowd didn't see Monika leave, unknown to her, the new queen Elsa had seen it as Monika rushed out.
(Elsa POV/ Start of the Coronation)
As Elsa walked down the aisle, she kept her mind focused on one thing. 'Concealing her Powers.' She had trouble earlier when she tried to practice with a candle stick and a small jewel container but she failed each time as they kept freezing up. All day she was nervous for her coronation and now the time had come.
As she reached the end of the walkway the priest then placed the crown on her head as he then held the jeweled orb and staff her father used during his coronation. As she was about to reach for them the priest hinted her on taking off her gloves to do this. This made Elsa even more nervous. But she then took her gloves off and held the staff as the priest made the vows of rights to grant Elsa the title of queen.
But as she looked to the staff and orb, she saw them starting to slowly frost up but she continued on until the priest had finally finished in a few more seconds as she then quickly placed the staff and orb back on the pillow they were on and quickly put her gloves back on. She then gave a smile as she looked to the crowd as they all clapped and cheered.
All except for one. Out of the corner of Elsa's eye she saw a girl with what looked like a white and emerald dress similar to her sister's get up as she also saw a big white bow that tied up her coral brown hair. Yet what caught Elsa's eye was that the girl had the same worried face Elsa had as she was being coronated Queen.
She would try to find out why she took off later but still she continued to smile to the crowd as she then walked down the walkway again about a minute after the girl had left. As she looked around as she walked back towards the castle, she saw no sign of her but she noticed a small vine of ivy and flowers blooming on one of the castle fountains as she kept walking inside as the crowd followed her inside.
(Monika POV/ Just outside the Castle Chapel)
Monika slipped outside as she lightly closed the door behind her and headed towards the castle trying to find a place to be alone for a bit. Yet that wouldn't be to hard due to no one being in the castle currently. Yet as she places her and on the fountain her powers suddenly activated to her surprise as a bunch of ivy grew on part of the side of the fountain and flowers started to bloom.
She became even more worried as she thought she had control already. She tried to calm her mind as she enters the castle and headed down a large hallway. Yet as she walked, she then entered a large room that looked like a ballroom. She noticed a grand piano nearby as she sat down by it still trying to calm down.
She then remembered her good memories back at the literature club with her friends as she then remembered the song she had made for the MC in the game. As she sighed to herself, she started playing her song as she started to calm down again.
"Every day, I imagine a future where I can be with you."
"In my hand is a pen that will write a poem, of me and you."
"The ink flows down into a dark puddle."
"Just move your hand, write the way into his heart."
"But in this world of infinite choices."
"What will it take just to find that special day."
"What will it take just to find that special day."

As Monika finished, she finally felt calm again and in control of her emotions. But suddenly without warning a voice spoke.
"Did you write that yourself?" The Voice spoke as Monika turned around to see to her surprise, Queen Elsa herself.
(Elsa POV /Inside the Castle)
Elsa had gotten ahead of the crowd as most of them had stayed outside to chat before the party later that night. As she walked down the hallways, she took in some of the things she never did see ever since she shut herself away from her sister years ago. She took in the beauty of some of the paintings she hadn't seen in years.
But as she neared the ballroom, she then heard the grand piano playing a tune. As she slowly opened the ballroom door, she heard a voice singing a song she hadn't heard before. As she looked to the piano, she saw the same girl she saw leaving the chapel however she seemed like she was feeling better now with a small smile on her face. As she finished the song Elsa felt happiness for the first time in many years.
"Did you write that yourself?" Elsa asked as the girl turned around to see her with a surprised look on her face. Yet as Elsa saw her face, she strangely saw… herself in this girl's face. Yet she didn't know why.
"O-oh your majesty!" The girl said as she got up and bowed. However, this made Elsa giggle a bit.
"No need to be so formal." Elsa said as the girl looked to her with her emerald eyes. "But that song was… beautiful." Elsa said as the girl smiled.
"Thank you, and to answer your question, yes I did write it myself." The girl said as she smiled and leaned forward in an odd pose Elsa never saw before.
Elsa was about to ask why she had left the chapel so soon, but before she could she saw a few people entering the ballroom. "Well maybe we can chat a bit later miss…" Elsa said as she tried to ask her name.
"Monika, my name is Monika. It was a pleasure to meet you Elsa." The girl said as she extended her hand for a handshake. As Elsa took Monika hand, she suddenly felt a warm feeling she never felt in her entire life.
(Monika POV)
As Monika took Elsa's hand, she felt a cold feeling she never had felt before. It wasn't freezing, yet it felt like a cool breeze had flown across her hand. As she let go, they parted way but she felt uneasy as she kept thinking about what had just happened as they both then enjoyed the party.
(Timeskip to During the Party)
As the party went on Monika was watching the dancing when the butler announced of the royals. First Queen Elsa, then Princess Anna who rushed up and then was guided by the butler to stand right next to her Sister as Anna kept getting confused.
Monika silently giggled at this as Anna really reminded her of Sayori who was just as clumsy as Anna was sometimes. Then the crowd clapped around as the two royals smiled at all of them. She then saw them chat for a bit she then noticed a small gentleman walk up to the royals as he introduced himself as the Duke of Weselton. Strangely something about the Duke rubbed Monika the wrong way as she felt he couldn't be trusted.
She then saw him offer the queen to a dance but Elsa turned him down but let Anna have a dance with him instead which did not go well for Anna's sake as the Duke started to dance embarrassingly. She giggled at this but it didn't last long as she saw Elsa coming her way.
(Elsa POV)
Elsa watched as her sister got dragged of by the Duke of Weselton as she waved apologetically to her even though Anna was too far to see her. "Sorry…" Elsa whispered as she then saw Anna dancing with the embarrassing Duke. But then out of the corner of her eye she noticed Monika again watching Anna as well giggling.
Something about Monika was playing on Elsa's mind, so she decided walk over. As she was halfway to Monika, Monika herself then took notice of Elsa coming towards her. As Elsa stood before her Monika then bowed again as Elsa giggled again at this. "Please no need to be so formal Miss Monika." Elsa said as Monika looked back up at her.
Then Monika and Elsa looked back to Anna seeing that the Duke had brought her into a dip as both she and Elsa giggled. "I must admit your sister is quite a dancer." Monika said with a slight giggle. "I'm amazed she lasted this long with him." Elsa said as she giggled at Anna who was then brought back up.
"I have to admit but your sister really reminds me of a friend I once knew." Monika said as Elsa looked back to her. "I wouldn't know since I never really saw Anna that much." Elsa said with a frown as Monika looked back at her. "What do you mean?" Monika asked as they both watched Anna still dancing with the embarrassing Duke. "Ever since I was little, I was always in my room away from my sister. I never did see much of the outside world."
She then saw Monika frown as she looked back to her. "I know what it's like to be shut away from the world." This shocked Elsa as she thought nobody was shut away like she was for so long. But before she could ask what for, Anna had come back still exhausted from the Duke's dancing.
"Well, he was sprightly." Elsa said with a chuckle as Anna was still trying to get some energy back. "Phew, especially for a man in heels." Anna said as she then noticed Monika. "Oh, hello again Monika." Anna said as Elsa looked back to her sister. "You know her?" Elsa asked as Anna smiled back. "We met earlier today when she saved me from falling into the harbor." Anna said as Monika chuckled.
"You could say we met by fate." Monika said as Elsa chuckled as well. "It's always nice to meet a new friend, I wish I could always be like this." Anna said. "Me too." Elsa then said only to then frown. "But it can't." Anna then headed off with a frown back into the crowd as Monika looked back to Elsa.
(Monika POV)
Monika watched as Anna walked back into the crowd as she then looked back to Elsa. "What did you mean by it can't?" Monika asked as Elsa looked back at her. "It's a difficult story that I'd rather not tell." Elsa said with a frown as Monika knew what that meant after all she also did have her secrets as well.
"Well maybe we could have a dance to let this go then?" Monika said as Elsa looked back to her. "I don't really dance that much." Elsa said but Monika wasn't giving up that easy as she extended her hand to Elsa. "It never hurts to try." Monika said as Elsa then smiled. "Alright, I'll give it a try." Elsa said as she then took Monika's hand as she felt the cool feeling again as Elsa had that warm feeling again as well.

"You dance really well." Elsa said as the dance end as everyone clapped and cheered. "You're not bad yourself for not dancing that much. Monika said as they both then saw Anna coming back but with what looked like a prince. "Elsa, I mean queen, again… um…" Anna said not being able to speak properly as Monika whispered to Elsa, "She really does remind me of my friend." Anna then introduced to prince Hans of the southern isles however Monika felt something rub her the wrong way with Hans just like with the Duke.
"Pleasure to meet you your majesty." Hans said as Anna then spoke up. "Both Hans and I would like your blessing for our marriage. Anna said as Elsa looked shocked. Monika also was concerned about this.
"Wait Anna when did you meet Hans?" Monika asked. "Just tonight." Hans said as Monika then eyed him with a glare that made Hans a bit fretful. "Now, Now, let just calm down… no one is getting married, ok?" Elsa said as Anna looked back at her with worry. "Anna you can't marry a man you just met." Elsa said with as Monika looked back to Anna. "You can if it's true love." Anna said but Monika wasn't too sure of that from her experience herself.
"Anna I'm afraid Elsa maybe right, after all I thought I had true love but it didn't work too well. But what would you know about true love?" Monika asked sarcastically but Anna answered anyway. "More than my own sister would know, after locking herself away for so long!" Anna said as this shocked Elsa and angered Monika. "Anna!" Monika started but Elsa stopped her. "No, it's alright Monika, let me handle this." Elsa said as she looked to Anna.
"You asked for my blessing but my answer is no. Now I think you should leave Hans." Elsa said as she then looked to a guard. "The party is over, close the gates." Elsa said as Monika worried about her when suddenly Anna grabbed Elsa's hand as her glove came off. "Elsa, please I can't live like this anymore!" Anna said but Elsa frowned even more. "Then leave." Elsa said heartlessly as she headed off.
Monika was about to try and help her but Anna kept arguing about why Elsa was always like this but then Elsa finally had enough. "ENOUGH!" Elsa snapped as she flicked her hand and to everyone's surprise, including Anna and mostly Monika, Icicles shot up creating a sort of spikey block as Anna looked to her with shock and worry. "Elsa…" Anna said as Elsa opened the door to the ballroom and ran off.
"Elsa!" Monika yelled as she reacted, faster than she knew she could as she jumped the icy spikes and ran down the hallway after Elsa with the Duke and his men right behind her. Now knowing she had powers like hers, Monika was not going to give up on Elsa now that she did need help.
(Elsa POV)
Elsa ran down the hallway after accidentally revealing her powers as she then opened the doors to the courtyard only to see a huge crowd that then looked her way and clapped and cheered. She was petrified until she heard a voice. "Elsa!" as she looked back, she saw Monika coming as she backed up into the crowd as her hands hit the fountain and the whole fountain turned to ice. "Elsa!" Monika called out as she exited the door as the Duke and his men came up from behind her.
"Just… Stay away from me. Stay away!" Elsa said when she accidentally shot more ice causing the staircase to be covered in ice as the Duke and his men slid and fell. Only Monika was still standing yet Elsa didn't know why. "M-Monster! Monster!" The Duke said as Elsa saw Monika glare at him making him worry like she did with Hans. "Not helping!" Monika said as Elsa then ran off again as Monika gave chase but with Anna on her tail this time too. Elsa then fled outside the castle wall as she then reached the edge of the fjord. With nowhere else to go, Elsa kept going on as the fjord turned to ice with every step, she took on the water. She then ran into the forest and disappeared. However, what she didn't know, was that Monika was still following her, as she had made it across the icy fjord as well with the help of some flowers that somehow grew on the ice.
And so, wraps of this chapter. Man, that was a long one. Sorry it took so long to bring but I had other issues. But it's all sorted now. so anyway, will Monika be able to help Elsa? And what of Anna? And how will Elsa react when she finds out that Monika has powers like and if not, similar to hers? We'll find out won't we.
