So! Firstly, thank you to the few people I follow on twitter who talk about MaidZai a lot and led my mind to wander into this...
They are both 25 in this, Mori and an unnamed woman are Dazai's parents, Kouyou and an unnamed man are Chuuya's parents
Cwtch/Cwtched/Cwtching - It's a Welsh word, here it's meaning a cuddle or hug (but like nicer, cosier and more personal than a hug if that makes any sense?) The word can also mean a small cupboard/cubbyhole
As the only child of a wealthy family, it had been assumed that once he turned twenty-five, Dazai would marry someone from an equally wealthy family, and father his first child.
The first problem came when, surprising everyone, he had presented as an Omega. The second, when he decided he didn't like girls. The family of the girl – a Beta, he was betrothed to hadn't been happy with those developments, and called the engagement off. Dazai's parents had been unhappy about that, but ultimately wanted their son to be happy, and if possible, marry a person he could love. So, they let him go to university and focused on finding him a match.
The third problem came when Dazai turned twenty-five and had refused every single match his parents had tried to arrange for him. It wasn't that he was trying to be awkward, he just had no interest in anyone, he just wanted to keep learning – he already had a bachelors and masters degree, and had been waiting on his acceptance into a PhD program when his parents dropped an ultimatum:
Pick from the final three men they had approved or they wouldn't fund his lifestyle anymore.
Dazai had tried to like the three men that were trotted out in front of him, but one smelt awful and the other two, well, if pushed he would say they were pretty, but nothing that really interested him. He didn't know what he wanted, but he knew it wasn't them, or an arranged marriage or a child at his age.
So, for the first time in his life, he had to support himself. His parents had given him a small start – a months' worth of money based on a full time, minimum wage job. They would also continue to pay for his car, as it was unsafe for an unwed and unmated Omega to take public transport or walk alone, and even if he wasn't following the plan they wanted, they still wanted him safe. There was an unspoken agreement that he could return home at any point, but he would then be expected to marry a man of their choosing.
After a very long week searching, Dazai managed to find a one room apartment in one of the few buildings that allowed single Omegas. The apartment came with a fridge-freezer, cooker as well as a laundry room the whole building used. He moved in with some clothes, books and his laptop, before going out to buy some furniture and items for the kitchen. After seeing the price on furniture, Dazai ended up buying a cheap futon and resigned himself to eating all his meals standing up.
His next task was finding a job. Considering he had two degrees and had taken part in volunteer work through the university he was feeling quite confident about his chances. Until he started looking at job ads
No omegas.
Omega's must have permission from their alpha for this position (alpha must be available on interview dates.)
No parental leave offered - Omega must show proof of birth control used.
No allowances for heats, any unexpected missed days may result in loss of job.
and realised that due to his second gender he would probably never find a job. After two weeks of searching, with his parent's money running out, Dazai finally found an advert that was open to omega's. It was as a maid at a local manor home, not the sort of work he had wanted, but his parents had ensured he had learnt basic skills like that so it was something he could do. The interview went well, and he was invited to start the following Monday.
Monday came and Dazai was nervous, he had forgotten to ask the dress code, as the man who had interviewed him and had been dressed in a suit and tie, Dazai had packed dress trousers and a shirt just in case, but had dressed in jeans, a loose t-shirt and trainers, as he was going to be cleaning all day, he wanted to be comfy.
The house was set in its own grounds, a guard letting him in at the front gates, telling him he could park outside the front door as no guests were expected today. Dazai was grateful for that, as it had started raining, and he didn't have a coat with him. He was greeted at the door by the same man from the interview, who introduced himself as Hirotsu. He led Dazai to Chuuya's office, knocking on the door.
"Come in!"
The room was large and well lit, bookcases lining the wall, and Chuuya's desk was next to the window, a door behind the desk led to an en-suite. Dazai followed Hirotsu, before stopping in front of Chuuya's desk and bowed in greeting.
"A pleasure to meet you…" he trailed off realising he didn't know his new boss's name.
"Chuuya, Chuuya Nakahara." The man replied as Dazai looked up. He had expected some boring old man to have employed him, not the young and only heir to the Nakahara fortune. The bright red hair was a sign of his family, and it was even brighter than it appeared in magazines.
"Thank you for employing me Nakahara-san. My name is Osamu Dazai,"
"Call me Chuuya." He smiled, "May I ask what the heir to the Dazai fortune is doing working as a maid?"
Dazai blushed, he had tried to lay low, so he hadn't expected his new boss to know who he was. "It was either get married or fund my own lifestyle, I chose the latter." Dazai paused, "I did not however take into account how hard it is to find a job as an omega. I promise I will work hard for you Nakahara-san"
"Good, first order of business will be your work attire." Chuuya grabbed a garment bag that was hanging on the door behind him. He unzipped the bag, revealing a frilly maid's outfit – a black dress, with white apron, and a matching hair band.
"You expect me to wear a dress?" Dazai couldn't keep the surprise out of his voice.
"Yes, whilst there is only myself and Hirotsu here, I often take important meetings and it is a requirement that all staff are dressed appropriately to their role. You do not have to go home in this outfit, you are more than welcome to get changed when you arrive, the outfit will be set up in one of the laundry rooms, and I will take care of cleaning it. As you are working five days a week, there are five dresses in five different colours. Oh and…" Chuuya trailed off as he reached to the floor for something, "shoes and socks!" he held up a pair of black, knee high socks and a pair of shoes that weren't quite trainers but not quite boots.
"They're not heels?"
Chuuya shook his head, "No, safety comes first, I've not tried them myself but they are apparently very comfortable for being on your feet all day. Of course, footwear is quite personal, so if you aren't comfortable in the shoes you may change them for your own. So, will you wear it?"
Dazai took a moment to take in the outfit, he guessed it could be worse – it wasn't particularly low cut, and was made from a soft material, he was pretty sure it was part of some sort of fantasy for the other man. He gave it a sniff – it was brand new.
Chuuya cleared his throat, making Dazai jump, "My apologies, is my scent a problem for you? I didn't think…"
"Oh, no it's fine, you're an Alpha, right?"
Chuuya nodded, "Yep, my ruts are quite unpredictable, but I do not expect you to work on those days. Same goes for your heats, take as many days off as you need for them, I'll pay you regardless."
"Thank you – I guess I'll wear the dress."
Chuuya practically beamed, "Great, when we're done Hirotsu will take you to the laundry room, where you can get changed. Now onto the cleaning schedule, this isn't our main house, so it's been lying empty for a few years, I've been in here about four months. I'd like you to start by giving each room a quick clean, then if I'm happy with your work we'll move onto the deep clean. Once you've changed each morning, come to this office and I'll talk you through which rooms you'll be in. All the supplies you need will also be in the laundry room, anything that gets low or if you need something else, talk to Hirotsu."
Dazai nodded, "Understood."
Chuuya handed Dazai the dress, who thanked him and left with Hirotsu. Once they were out of ear shot Hirotsu spoke
"Just humour him for today, if you really don't feel comfortable in it, I'll encourage him to pick something else. Master Chuuya is a good lad, he's just a bit confused and trying to make sure he does his parents proud."
"Thank you, I'll keep that in mind" Dazai smiled, afraid to say too much in case it was a trap, Chuuya didn't seem the type, but he'd seen what Alpha's could do to Omega's.
As they walked Hirotsu pointed out the rooms Dazai would be working in today, they were small rooms and didn't seem too dirty, so Dazai felt more confident he could tackle them.
They parted ways when they made it to the laundry room, it was a bright room, a washing machine, tumble dryer against one wall, an ironing board leaning next to the tumble dryer. On the opposite wall a clothing rail with hangers was set up, a cupboard with cleaning supplies next to it. A set of French doors were at the other end of the room, opening out to a small patio complete with washing line and clothes horse. Dazai hung the dress on the clothes rail and slipped off his own clothes, hanging them next to the dress. He slowly put on the dress, it fit a bit loose but it surprised him with how comfortable it was, he tied the apron on with a fancy bow, pleased with the fact it had pockets in the front. He slipped the hair band in, before putting on the shoes and socks. There was no mirror in the room for him to see what he looked like, but given how put together Chuuya was, Dazai assumed he'd come across one before long. He grabbed some polishing spray and clothes, thankful for the small basket with a handle that was in the cupboard next to it.
Dazai got lost in his work, and didn't realise lunch time had passed until his stomach had started grumbling. He made his way back to the laundry room to grab the apple he'd packed for lunch – with his money getting low he was down to one meal a day, but knew he'd need something after actually doing work. As he ate, he wandered the corridors, the place was huge and it would probably be months before he'd deep cleaned even half of it. That helped to put his mind at ease, he'd been afraid that the job would only be temporary, at least this way he had some hope at saving up enough to find a better place to live. He finished his lunch and went back to cleaning. Hirotsu found him when it was time to finish, waiting whilst he changed into his own clothes. He folded the items and placed them on top of the washing machine, leaving the shoes under the clothes rail, he felt like he should put them in and on to wash, but Chuuya had said he'd take care of that, so he left them. Hirotsu led him out, thanking him for his days work.
It was now Friday, to his surprise Dazai was actually enjoying the work. He was able to let his mind wander and just focus on the task at hand. The more he wore it, the more he found he didn't mind wearing a dress to work in. The pocket on the apron was handy for keeping spare cleaning cloths, or the smaller bottles of cleaning product and the dress was loose enough he didn't feel as restricted when moving about – he was certain he would've split the seams on his jeans by now. It also helped him to cut down on the clothes that needed washing, as using the machine that the whole building used had made him uncomfortable in his clothes for days. No matter how much fabric conditioner he used, he could still smell the alpha's and beta's that resided in the building on his clothes and had ended up rewashing them all in the sink, and drying them in the tiny bathroom. His phone jingled telling him it was time to break for lunch, the apple he brought today was bruised and battered but it was all he had left so he forced himself to eat it. Chuuya was paying him today, they'd agreed on a fortnightly schedule, but he'd needed the money now so Chuuya had brought it forward by a week. He would at least be able to buy a few bits of food for the following week, although most of it was going on rent, he had to pay it weekly and he was sure the landlord had upped it when he realised that Dazai was an omega. He was halfway through his lunch when Hirotsu appeared,
"Master Chuuya would like you to join us for lunch today."
"Oh, I've already eaten, it's fine."
"It wasn't a request, Master Chuuya's been cooking all morning and he likes to share what he makes." Hirotsu smiled.
"Okay," Dazai smiled, throwing the apple in the bin as he followed Hirotsu to the kitchen.
Hirotsu was glad Dazai hadn't taken too much convincing, Chuuya had noticed how little Dazai ate and how worn out he looked each day, and didn't want his cleaner passing out on him.
The kitchen Hirotsu led Dazai to was actually in Chuuya's private quarters, like the laundry room there was a set of French doors opening to a patio with a picnic table and parasol setup. Inside was a table big enough to sit four, as they entered Chuuya was placing the bowls on the table. He had an apron on over a shirt and suit trousers and was looking very proud of his meal.
"Ahh you found him, good" Chuuya smiled, as Dazai and Hirotsu took a seat. "I enjoy cooking but there's only so much Hirotsu and I can eat. I try to make lunch from scratch three times a week, so if you want you can join us?"
Dazai nodded, not listening as he was more interested in the food in front of him, it was some sort of noodle dish and smelt amazing. Dazai ended up having seconds, it had been so long since he'd eaten something comforting and homemade. He'd started with great intentions, but soon realised just how expensive food was when it wasn't being charged to the card his parents gave him.
Once he'd finished eating, he helped Hirotsu with the dishes, whilst chatting with Chuuya. It was nice, Dazai hadn't realised how lonely he'd been feeling, but with all his friends getting married and starting their families, no one had time for the single omega, and he'd lost touch with all of them. He went back to his job with a smile on his face, he knew getting too friendly with is boss, especially as he was an Alpha could be dangerous, but he found he didn't care.
A month later and Dazai had settled into his role. Now he was onto the deep cleaning he and Chuuya had developed a routine, whenever he didn't have meeting's he would join Dazai in whichever room he was in to keep him company, sometimes they talked, others they worked in a companionable silence. As well as eating lunch together most days. Dazai was convinced that some days Chuuya only joined him as he was working up high and he got a good view of Dazai in the maid dress he still wore, but the pay was good, so Dazai didn't mind.
It was a Wednesday and Chuuya was in a strange mood, they usually talked about films and books they enjoyed, but today, Chuuya brought up his parents plans for his own life,
"Have I told you how I ended up with this place?" Chuuya asked
"No, but we have quite an estate to so I just assumed it was part of your inheritance." Dazai replied.
"No, well I guess so, it was because I refused to marry. They showed me some of the prettiest people I've ever seen, and I did set a date with one of them. But I'm just not ready. I want to meet the love of my life, the mother, well omega or beta, I'm not fussy on gender, of my future child naturally you know? I want that friendship that develops into something more, my parent's marriage was arranged and they seem happy enough but I want that fairy-tale romance, and I'm just not ready to give it up. I'm guessing you want that to otherwise you'd be married right now and not working for me."
"Nope, I don't want any of it. I've never met anyone I find attractive enough to want, and a lot of the alpha's I met just smell wrong. My parents aren't as bad as they sound though, I can always go home if trying to fend for myself doesn't work out, granted I'd have to marry then but who knows, my omega instincts may kick in soon and all I think about is wanting a baby, but hopefully that's a long way off." Dazai laughed.
Chuuya was silent for a few minutes before replying, "Well, you can stay working for me as long as you want. I'm pretty sure my parents only gave me this place with minimal staff to make me realise I want a partner and kids but I'm enjoying having the time to myself more. It's nice seeing this place being returned to some sort of order to, we used to summer here, but then we moved to Europe when I was a teenager and we spent the holidays exploring instead. We're all back in Japan now though, my parents are at our main house, they visit occasionally, but they're always eager to talk on the phone."
"How long have you been back here?" Dazai asked
"About a year?"
"Ahh that explains it."
"Huh?"
"Oh, I'm pretty sure my parents contacted every eligible male in the entire country trying to find someone for me to marry, and I was sure I'd never seen you, but if you haven't long returned, that would be why."
"Disappointed I wasn't an option, are you?" Chuuya teased.
"Meh, I told you, I don't really care when it comes to those things. I'm sure it'll click one day."
Chuuya didn't quite know what to say to that so they lapsed into an awkward silence.
"How do you like your work outfit?" Chuuya broke the silence.
"Actually, I quite like it," Dazai twirled in it, "it's easy to move in and as I don't like using the laundry in my building gives me less clothes to wash."
"You can use the facilities here, I don't mind at all, I can even pop them in the dryer for you if it's still going when you leave for the day."
"If you're sure, then great, thanks. Washing clothes by hand is the worst, I tend to wear nothing but boxers when I'm home, less clothes to wash that way." Dazai laughed. Chuuya didn't, instead turning the subject to the book series they had been discussing the day before.
The next morning Chuuya and Hirotsu were nowhere to be seen. Dazai assumed they had gone to a meeting, although usually they told him first. He quickly got changed and consulted the white board Chuuya had put up in the laundry room as to where he was working that day, today was bed changing day. After Chuuya had a particularly busy week with meetings and other work for his parents' company, Dazai had been asked to hoover and change the bedding in Chuuya's bedroom, weekly. After the first week of doing it, Dazai had made a trip home and collected his scent blockers, not wanting to make the Alpha uncomfortable in his own bed, he applied those and made his way to Chuuya's quarters.
He hoovered the hallway, before pushing open the door to Chuuya's room. The curtains were still shut, but it was rare that they were open. The darkness and noise of the hoover meant that Dazai had reached Chuuya's bed before realising the Alpha was still in it. He turned off the hoover, opening his mouth to apologise when the scent hit him, Chuuya's rut had started, he had missed it because of the blockers he'd put on.
He knew he should leave, but he was entranced, he'd never seen anyone bar himself naked and found himself wondering if he was supposed to feel something. The other man clearly worked out, but it was lost on him. Dazai jolted back to reality when Chuuya noticed him and growled. It was then Dazai noticed what Chuuya was wrapped around – the dress he'd worn the day before.
"AHH! Dazai?!" Chuuya yelped when he realised the dress was noticeable. He hadn't meant to, but the Omega's scent was nice and his alpha side had sought it out.
"I'm leaving!" Dazai almost yelled, he took a step back, grabbing the hoover and walked backwards out of the room, closing it tight behind him. "Sorry" he whispered as he rushed out of Chuuya's quarters. He ended up cleaning a room far away from Chuuya's, Hirotsu returned around lunchtime and sent Dazai home when he realised the state Chuuya was in.
The next morning Hirotsu met Dazai at the door, explaining Chuuya had meetings until noon and that Dazai could clean anywhere that wasn't near Chuuya's office. He finished off cleaning the room he had been working in the day before, then returned to Chuuya's quarters, the bed had been stripped and the windows were wide open. Dazai hoovered, found new bedding and shut the window. He then went to the laundry room, he'd noticed the machine was on when he'd gotten changed, so he was able to put the bedding into dry. His next step was checking the dress, Chuuya had placed it into soak, it took Dazai some time, but he managed to get the dress clean. He put it into wash, along with some of his own clothes, dumping in some extra stain remover to make sure they were all clean.
He then made lunch, Chuuya had noticed how Dazai only brought an apple for lunch on the days he didn't cook and had started stocking the kitchen with bread and sliced meats for Dazai to make his own lunch. Dazai ate quickly, before making another sandwich for Chuuya, grabbing a bottle of water out of the fridge, and slipping some chocolate chip cookies into his apron picked and made his way to Chuuya's office. Hirotsu had informed him when Chuuya's meetings were over, and that he would be busy in his office for the rest of the day.
Dazai knocked on the door.
"Come in"
Dazai pushed open the door,
"Hello, I brought you some lunch" he announced with a smile on his face.
"Oh…I…Dazai, I didn't expect to see you today." Chuuya blushed.
Dazai placed the sandwich and bottle of water on Chuuya's desk,
"I don't know if ruts are anything like heats but I'm usually starving the next day, and I didn't want you missing lunch." Dazai smiled, "Oh and some cookies!" Dazai pulled the biscuits out of his apron pocket and placed them next to the sandwich.
"Thank you" Chuuya's tone was abrupt.
"Look I'm sorry I walked in on you yesterday, the hoover was loud and I put scent blockers on when I work in your room. I'll be more observant in the future."
"Why are you are apologising I should-"
Dazai interrupted, "No, you were in rut, and in the privacy of your own room. Oh I got the stains out of the dress and I've cleaned your room."
Chuuya choked on the sandwich, "Ahh yes, the dress…"
"I was going to ask, as your alpha side likes my scent, I can wear a dress when I'm in heat next if it'll help your rut or I can wear the same one for a few days so the scent really builds up."
"You don't find it weird that I was..I had…" Chuuya trailed off and blushed.
"Each to their own, might not be for me, but you weren't harming anyone, I mean you bought the dress, so it's not like its mine…" Dazai trailed off.
"O…okay then." Chuuya replied.
"Enjoy your lunch, I need to get back to work" Dazai smiled and left.
Chuuya watched him leave, really confused by Dazai's attitude, he'd never met a person quite like him, and it intrigued him.
Two weeks passed and Dazai and Chuuya settled back into their routine. Neither of them mentioned Chuuya's rut again and all was quiet.
Until Dazai had his first heat since leaving the safety of his family home. He had been fine until he'd gotten home, and he could feel the first signs his heat was starting. He made sure his door was locked, shut the curtains and cursed himself when he realised, he'd grabbed a box of books rather than the box of blankets and toys he used during his heat. But it was fine he could make do with his hands, he had done a lot of work that week so he was hoping he was tired enough to fall asleep early on.
Dazai removed his clothes and settled on his futon, his heat was slow to start but his scent was strong.
Strong enough to bring the Alpha's who lived in the building to his door. They started hammering on his door and jiggling the handle. Dazai whimpered, the alpha's scents were strong and were making him feel vulnerable. He tried to burrow under the blankets and block out the noise from his door, but as his flat was on the bottom floor, everyone going home would pass by. After what felt like an hour of waiting for them to leave but was actually only fifteen minutes, Dazai called the first person that came to mind.
Twenty minutes, the Alpha's trying to get into his flat had become more violent and Dazai was afraid the door wasn't going to hold. He was just gathering the strength to lock himself in his bathroom, when two strong but familiar scents took over,
"Leave. Now." A voice ordered. Dazai relaxed as the scents at the door left, until only the two familiar ones remained.
"Dazai, can you let us in please?" Chuuya's voice was quiet. Dazai crawled to the door, flicking the key and falling back as Chuuya entered. The two men entered and shut the door behind them. Hirotsu standing guard as Chuuya took care of Dazai. Once Dazai was calm, Hirotsu spoke,
"We can't stay here. This door isn't going to hold."
"Dazai…Dazai? Are you still with me?"
Dazai nodded, "Yeah?"
"Do you want me to take you home?"
"Too far. Safe," Dazai wrapped his arms around Chuuya, "safe with you."
"He's right, the Dazai estate is a bit too far from here, and do you actually know which house they're in right now?" Hirotsu asked
"Err no." Chuuya was trying his best not to touch Dazai whilst also comforting him. "What do we do now?"
"Wrap him in a blanket. Take him to the car. I'm going to gather his clothes and things. His scent is so strong even without him here it'll lure in an Alpha, and the last thing he needs is to be robbed."
"Okay."
When they returned to Chuuya's home, they took Dazai to one of the guest bedrooms. Luckily Dazai had cleaned it earlier in the week and changed the bedding. Chuuya settled Dazai in and pulled out some toys he had brought into the room before they had gone to get Dazai. They were toys he bought for himself but hadn't got around to using, they were easy enough to replace so he didn't mind letting Dazai use them. Once sorted he tried to leave, but Dazai insisted he stay, afraid there would be more mean Alpha's at his door, no matter how much Chuuya tried to reassure Dazai he was safe.
It was early afternoon before Dazai's heat faded. He didn't remember much of the night before after he had rung Chuuya, and was surprised to find the Alpha sleeping in a chair next to his bed, a book in his lap.
"Chuuya?"
"Oh, you're awake, sorry, I tried to leave but you wouldn't have it."
Dazai looked a bit scared at that,
"We didn't do anything. I helped you with the toys on occasion, but I mostly just read a book and reassured you occasionally."
"Toys?" Dazai asked, confused, "I left mine at home…"
"Oh they're mine" Chuuya blushed, "well, I guess they're yours now, I've never used them,"
"I'll pay you for them, I know they don't come cheap, especially the ones with knots," Dazai picked one of the toys up to take a better look, it was modelled on an Alpha with a large knot at the base "I used this? It's umm big"
Chuuya coughed, "That's umm a custom…" he trailed off, hoping Dazai would get the hint, but he was still looking at Chuuya confused, "It's me."
"Oh, well, whatever interests you…" Dazai paused, before laughing, "safe to say we have very different tastes in the bedroom"
"Yep, I'm surprised with your disinterest…" Chuuya trailed off, afraid of offending Dazai.
"Only during my heats, I fought it to begin with but now, it's much easier if I just give in to my instincts." Dazai yawned. "Can I shower and could you bring me some more blankets? I like to cwtch up and sleep off my heat."
"You can shower, and I'll bring the blankets, but you can't sleep yet, your parents are on their way."
"Why?!"
"Your apartment was broken into, and with you nowhere to be seen, your landlord called your parents, who were distraught. Hirotsu took all of your stuff when we collected you, it's in the room next door, I'll grab it for you when you're ready. We missed your phone, so your parents rang me and I explained what had happened. Your father said he'd bring Fraser if you can stay awake long enough to see them. He said you'd know what it meant?"
"Fine…thank you Chuuya." Dazai smiled, making his way to the shower.
Thirty minutes later and Dazai was wrapped up in a blanket on the settee in Chuuya's living room, grumbling that the alpha had neglected to mention it was a meeting between their parents and not just a visit. Chuuya had just finished setting up a video call with his mother, as Hirotsu brought in Dazai's mother and father. His mother rushed over and gave her son a cwtch
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine" Dazai grumbled fidgeting and pushing her away, he didn't like being touched after his heat. His father came behind his mother,
"Do I need to check you over?"
Chuuya couldn't hide the look on his face at the odd question,
"He's a doctor," Dazai explained, "and I'm fine."
"Are you sure? That alpha's scent is strong on you."
"It's his blanket, in his house." Dazai started but Chuuya talked over him.
"I didn't have sex with your son. I spent the night with him to reassure him, but I was in a chair, reading a book the entire time. Now can you please both sit so we can start this and Dazai can go to sleep."
"Okay," Dazai's mother and father replied, sitting down.
"My mother is joining us via video chat. I've asked you here, as I have a proposal that involves Dazai. As you all know he's currently working here as a maid. I have plenty of bedrooms, he can live here with me. I will continue to employ him as he is doing an amazing job."
"You want him to live with you, Chuuya, really? When you asked me to join this meeting, I thought you wanted to marry him."
"Dazai's clearly asexual, I'm not forcing a relationship on him that he doesn't want, just to appease your need for grandchildren!"
"An heir Chuuya, you're both only children, our families can trace our lineage back centuries…"
"Excuse me?" Dazai's father interrupted, "what do you mean 'asexual'?"
"He has no interest in anyone, surely you've seen that? He's told me how many men you've tried and failed to set him up with."
"Dazai, why didn't you tell us?"
"I didn't know it was a thing." Dazai replied
"Well, we'll leave it a few more years before exploring marriage for you again then. Why don't you come back home?"
Dazai shook his head, "I don't want to. I enjoy working, and I still have half of this place to deep clean, Chuuya isn't going to do that on his own now, is he?"
"I have no problem with Dazai living here, but Chuuya, this doesn't mean your father and I will stop trying to find you a match."
"Thank you" Chuuya smiled.
"Work out the details amongst yourselves, I have a meeting in ten minutes. Nice to meet you all" she smiled, then disconnected.
"If it's truly what you want then you can stay here Dazai, we're both very glad you don't want to return to that flat you were living in. We did think you'd found somewhere nicer." Dazai's father said.
"Nicer?" Dazai laughed, "have you ever tried getting a place as an omega? No one would take me"
"Oh, we didn't think of that..." Dazai's mother looked distraught
"He'll be safe here, I promise. We have a guard on duty at all times and Hirotsu lives here as well."
"Thank you, just remember you can come back whenever you want Dazai, we won't force you to marry, if you don't want to."
"Thanks" Dazai yawned
"We best get going, before you fall asleep on us" Dazai's father laughed.
"Wait! Where's Fraser?"
"I've got it," Dazai's mother replied, pulling a stuffed bear from her bag, it was as big as Dazai's torso, with long arms and legs that wrapped around him. He practically snatched it off his mother, pulling it close to him,
"Thank you" As he cwtched the bear Dazai fell asleep. Hirotsu saw Dazai's parents out, and Chuuya carried the omega to the room he'd spent the night in.
As Chuuya tucked Dazai in, he was surprised at how pretty he looked when he was asleep. He shook his head, that line of thought wasn't worth following with Dazai, but he should thank the other man, it had bought him a few more marriage-less years.
The two took to living together well, Dazai continued to clean and on their weekends, they started working on the garden. Their relationship growing into a friendship, neither of them had expected to be so happy, but it worked.
