Darien walked into the master bedroom after saying goodnight to Ma. He looked to the bathroom to make sure Serena was not in and then he looked at the bed, and smiled. There Serena laid on her side, arm propped up to support her head, in a white tank top and pink sweat pants, admiring Danny who was all cleaned and in a night onesie. She used her free hand trace his little bottle. Darien took another step forward causing her to look up at him. She smiled at him.

"He is too perfect. I don't want to wake him." She whispered.

Darien nodded. He pointed to the shower. When Serena gave him the nod he quietly walked in. About 15 minutes later he came out and Serena still had not moved. Danny still sleeping. He slowly sat on the opposite side of the bed, with Danny still in the middle.

"I can't believe nobody has adopted him." Serena looked up at Darien.

Darien slowly laid on his side, same position as Serena and too started to trace his little features as well.

Serena took in a deep breath. "Did you get a new brand of soap?" Serena asked quietly.

"I did, do you hate it. I will change it." Darien answered abruptly, raising his head up off his supporting hand.

"Shhhhh..." Serena gave him a scolding look. "No I like it. Smells fresh, not too strong like your last one."

"You thought my last one was too strong? Why didn't you say anything."

"Shhh. It is not a big deal, you are going to wake the baby." She put her index finger to her mouth signaling him to be quiet.

Darien sunk back down, bringing his attention back to Danny. "He is so cute..." He let out a deep breath.

Serena just nodded with a smile. "I could watch him sleep for hours." She laid her propped up arm flat and laid on top of it, bringing herself closer to him. "I wonder what he will look like when he grows up."

"I don't know only time will really tell." He leaned down and kissed Danny's head. Looked up and saw the clock, he wanted to stay in this bed with Serena so bad, but he also knew how attached she was to Danny. He hung his head down. "It is getting late." Darien got up off the bed and shook his arm out.

"Where are you going?" Serena asked popping her head up.

"Well I know how much you love being with Danny, figured I would let him sleep on the bed and I can take the couch." He went to grab his pillow.

Serena looked up at Darien, shook her head. "No, no. I'd be too scared he would roll off. He will sleep in that pop up crib." She pointed to the crib behind her. "And the couch isn't comfortable anyways, just stay here." She rolled over and threw her legs off the edge of the bed and pulled herself up. "The bed is big enough." She turned back to Danny, gently scooped him up and walked over the crib. "Goodnight sweet love," she kissed him and slowly put him.

Darien could barely hold in his excitement as he got back in the bed and under the covers. Her staying was one thing, but being able to lay next to her was another. He watched as Serena bent over to put Danny down. He had been dreaming of this night, and he knew he was going to finally get the good night sleep he had missed. Then as fast as the excitement came, doubt and second thought followed. He wasn't sure, how to hold her, if she was going to let him hold her, would they sleep on opposite sides of the bed. Should he lean in to kiss her goodnight? He sighed. He knew all this overthinking could not be normal. He continued to watch her. He hated watching her leave every night, and then having to come back to this big empty bed. He didn't want to do anything that would upset her and make her not want to come back, but he would do anything to make this night one she could not forget.

She turned around and got into the bed next to him. She threw her hair up and turned to him as she scooted herself down and under the covers. She could see he was obviously thinking about something. "Are you okay?"

He didn't respond.

"Tired?" She softly placed her hand on his cheek. "Get some rest." She smiled softly, gave a quick peck on the lips and turned to turn off the light.

When she didn't scoot herself back over to him, he could not help but feel let down. She was so close but there was enough space between the two for another person to climb in. He couldn't bare the thought of finally being in bed with her and her sleeping that far away. He exhaled. He forced himself out of his head and scooted as close to Serena as he could. He snaked her arms around her and pulled her closer to him. If she was going to push him off then, he would respect her but for now he was going to be as close to her as possible.

He didn't feel her resist, just her hands resting on his, so encircled her a little tighter. "I love you." He whispered as he buried his face in her hair and kissed the back of her head. "I am so glad you are here."

She didn't say anything back, but Darien could feel her cheeks move into a smile when he moved to kiss her cheek. He kisses slowly moved down to her shoulder. Goosebumps started to raise down her arms.

"I thought you said you were tired." Serena adjusted a little, only to feel high grip around her tighten.

"I never said I was tired." He kissed her shoulder again. "I said it was getting late." He laced his fingers in hers. "Big difference."

"Oh is there?"

Serena wiggled a little, enough for Darien to loosen his grip on her and she could turn over to face him. As she tried make herself comfortable Darien tilted her chin up with his free hand and closed any space between them with a kiss. He kissed her so deep and passionately. His arms holding her as tight as he could, as she rubbed her hand up his back. He kissed her until he started to feel light headed and he pulled away, leaving her but seconds to catch her breath and he was right back at it. She didn't get enough air the first time, so now it was her turn to pull away.

"I am so in love with you." Darien whispered.

"What has gotten into you?" Serena asked between breaths.

He composed himself just enough. "You're here."

Serena just smiled.

"I hated when you left."

"I know Dare, leaving was not easy for me either."

"No, I didn't mean that. Well that really did suck. But having you here and then you would go back to your apartment." He kissed again. "This house is too big to be in without you. It gets cold." He pressed his lips against hers and then pulled back. "I can't keep doing it, sleeping without you. So if you are only going to be here for the next few nights, I am going to make the most of it and do everything I can to convince you to stay."He kissed her again. "Every night."

This time she kissed him back as he went in to kiss her. His hands ran up and down her back, as their kisses became more passionate. She giggled as he rolled her on top of him, their kiss unbroken.

'Darien...remember..." She bit his lower lip.

"I know what I said, to hell with that." He kissed her again. Then pushed himself up into a push up position, hovering above her."I love you and I want you to always know that. Everything you want I will give you."

She moved her hands up and down his chest. She just smiled.

"I love seeing your smile. I want to wake up to that everyday." He slowly lowered himself, his lips meeting hers.

She pulled his shirt over his head and moved her hand up and down his bare chest. Every muscle tensed as her cold hands ran over them. He started to kiss her neck, as he stuck his hand under her top.

"Don't leave a mark." She hissed into his ear.

"Why? I want everyone to know. Especially..."

"Don't you dare bring him up right now." She slapped his shoulder.

He stopped kissing her neck, looked at her as she looked at him. "I am sorry, that will be the last time I ever mention him or anyone." He moved up to kiss her again before she could even respond. He was over the talking.

He helped her pull her shirt off and before they knew both bottoms were off, and they were both there skin to skin. He took a minute to admire her under him. "I can't believe I let myself wait this long." He whispered pulling the blanket over them.

He was going to make up for all the nights missed, starting now.
