Ichirukitrash4ever - Hm... I won't deny what you said make sense. :3 Yeah, no amount of hurt can give somebody a reason to hurt others, especially with Ichigo's behaviour towards both Isshin and Rukia. :3
reesen555 - I agree that he would be too OOC in that case. D: Like: Last moment he was calling Rukia a gold-digging slut and he miraculously falls in love with her and kisses her forehead? I couldn't go against my heart like that, ruining Ichigo's growth as a character. :3 Well... About Ino, I am sure you would get the answer in this chapter so read on! :3
N(Guest) - I agree with that. I just find Ikkaku very innocent when he's being scolded just like that. Well, let's see where it goes. :3
Disclaimer: I neither own Bleach nor its characters. :3
"Isshin?"
"Good morning, Rukia, my dear. I was wondering if you could come meet me down at the first time where we discussed the arrangements?"
"Sure."
"See you then."
That was the phone call Rukia had received 5 minutes ago and gazing at her watch, she knew she had approximately less than an hour to make herself presentable and meet Isshin. Currently, she was sprinting back to her house and grumbling about rich businessmen who always arranges last-minute meetings. It had been a few days since Toshiro and Rukia had made up, also a couple of days since she had last talked to Ichigo. Rukia hadn't known what Ichigo's issue was but he had been out everyday, probably at work and wouldn't be home till 3 or 4am. The rare times that Rukia was awake as he arrives home, Rukia usually hears a female voice alongside Ichigo's voice. For Rukia, it was new breathing space, honestly, such that she wouldn't have remembered the feeling of hope blossoming in her chest only to be crushed down by the next second. Once in her room, she instantly jumped in the shower, knowing that it would create a bad impression for her to be late meeting Isshin Kurosaki out of all people. By the time she was dressed and proceeding to the elevator, she only had less than 15 minutes to spare. Arriving at the location, she nodded at the concierge before making her way towards Isshin. "Hi, my dear."
If not for the same surname, Rukia would have never known that Isshin and Ichigo were related. Ever since meeting up with Isshin, he was all polite while Ichigo Kurosaki was... For lack of a better word, jerk. "Hi, Isshin."
"Sit, please." Doing so, she mentally reminded herself of the first time she came into this place. Well, one thing that remained unchanged was: Seriously, was this kind of furniture available in a furniture shop because she really needed one. "I have called you to tea to tell you something important." Rukia instantly counted the things she did wrong for Isshin to use such a serious tone. Telling Ino the truth was one that she had violated the contract on... Had Ichigo known the truth for why she was marrying him? Thoughts ran haywire in her mind as Rukia looked at Isshin calmly. "It's about your old boss, Aizen Sosuke." Well, that brought up a whole other issue. "It's not that he's done anything else, Rukia, you don't have to worry about that. More so that... Well, he won't be someone you need to worry after today."
Yes, when Rukia had wanted out of this arrangement that she had with Ichigo, she had told Isshin all about her old boss, Aizen Sosuke. About the gruelling eleven and a half months that she spent working for him and about the stalkerish and threatening behaviours until to the breaking point where she couldn't take it anymore. After hearing all of that, Isshin had promised that he would do everything in his power to stop Aizen, Rukia just hadn't expected for things to progress this fast. "What do you mean?"
"My team has put a little plan together to make sure justice is served. Simply said, Aizen is going to behave in the manner he's continuously behaved, but this time... He will be caught."
"I don't get it."
"We found a woman who's also worked near Aizen Sosuke, a woman who's been subjected to the same harrassment you have known yourself and she's willing to help us. That way, when the story is revealed as to what Aizen had done to his own employees, you will be far away from it. A distant side-note, not the main heroine."
At that instant, something hadn't sat right with Rukia. It was true that she was once the victim to Aizen's harrassment and stalkerish behaviours. But, Isshin was practically saying that another girl, who had suffered the same as her, be thrown to the pits of fire just so that she would not be the main heroine of this scandal, just a distant side-note. Yeah, it didn't sit right with her now that she had thought about it. Yet, it wasn't like she had the power to stop Isshin. "Who is she?"
"I'm afraid I can't tell you that." Rukia frowned. "We promised the young lady anonymity, to the best of our control. She will be at one of my hotels this evening, the hotel that Aizen frequents. He will see her at the bar, and... Well, as they say, the rest will be history."
Placing her fingers on the table and narrowing her eyes, she gazed at Isshin. "How will you catch him?"
"Installations of cameras." The way that Isshin had said those words out of lips was as if Isshin was discussing about the weather instead of catching the head of Sosuke Cooperation. Well, he definitely hadn't thought of this as a big deal as he was sipping his champagne.
Rich people operate like a James Bond movie was the first thought Rukia had in mind. "I want to see it." Even though she was afraid of Aizen, she wanted to see the person that had tormented her for a big part of a year be personally brought to justice.
"Can you handle it?" At that instant, Isshin reminded herself of Ukitake because that was what Ukitake would have asked her. The logical answer would be No and simply just let Isshin handle it but Rukia knew better. She could handle it and she needed to handle it. Personally watching Aizen get caught was the only way that she would be able to move on from the traumatic experience she had in Sosuke Cooperation.
Taking a sip of her own champagne and staring at Isshin and allowing Isshin to see her determination in this issue, she nodded her head. "Yes."
7pm. Room 913.
I have been thinking... I'm not sure this is a good idea...
Think of the other woman. If you don't stop him here and now, more will get hurt. Men like Aizen don't stop until they are forced to. You have the power to stop him.
You are right. Let's do it.
Even though Isshin had seen the determination in Rukia's gaze as she nodded her head, he still wasn't sure whether it was the right choice to bring Rukia along. From his interactions with Rukia, Isshin could tell she was a sensitive young lady and this particular man, Aizen Sosuke, had humiliated and belittled her for a substantial period of time. Of course, if it was up to Isshin himself, he would have murdered Aizen personally but he doubted the Board of Kurosaki Enterprise would have agreed with him on that. The young lady who had agreed to help him came to them through one of his assistants, who had found her complaints against Aizen filed with Sosuke Cooperation's HR Department 2 years ago. Of course, it was all but swept under the rug, naturally. Up until currently, she was still working at Sosuke Cooperation as a freelancer, an improvement but Isshin could bet his company's reputation that Aizen was still harassing and tormenting her. Reaching out to the woman himself, Isshin had explained the situation. That someone dear to him had been affected by the same man in the same ways and if he wasn't stopped, more women would be falling victims to his harrassment. He had wanted to offer the young lady more, like money, but Isshin knew that wouldn't end well if the evidence was presented at the court. With that decided, he had played on the young lady's heartstrings like a puppet. And, here they were. Knowing what the young lady was feeling, Isshin had attempted to compensate said victim by giving her the whole royal treatment of seducing Aizen, it was the least Isshin could do for her, really. "You can do this." Isshin said as they met by the door. "You are the difference between him getting away with his action and him having to pay."
The young lady looked at Isshin, looking calm and collected. "I know. I got this."
Isshin smiled. "I'm proud of you. Thank You."
The young lady nodded at Isshin before entering the bar, to experience which, Isshin was certain, the scariest evening of her life.
Although Isshin had told Rukia the meeting place was in Room 913 at 8.45pm, Rukia couldn't help but arrive early and currently, she was pacing the ground in anxiety, an uneasy feeling in her chest. It was the same hotel that Ichigo and Rukia had gotten married in, but today... For a woman to subject to Aizen's harrassment is one issue, yet for the same said woman to be mentally prepared to meet Aizen just for him to be behind bars is another issue entirely. As Rukia entered the hotel punctually at 8.45pm and rode the elevator to the 9th floor, she knocked on Room 913. "You ready?"
Peeking inside, Rukia noted that there was a buzz of activity. The suite comfortably fit all the screens set up to display different angles of 2 different places: The hotel bar and an empty hotel room. Behind the screens were 3 men, each wearing black and wearing an earpiece. One of the men sat behind a laptop, where it looked like he had some sort of audio control. Now, it really looked like a James Bond movie, Rukia had thought. Discussing it and personally witnessing it are 2 different matters altogether, after all. "Are they the police?"
"My go-to-security team. They do intel work."
Rukia should have thought of that. Isshin was a billionaire, the founder of Kurosaki Enterprise after all. What's to say he wouldn't have a team of his own security team? Coming back to the topic at hand, Rukia was surprised that Isshin had done all this for her, to destroy the man who had tried so hard to destroy her existing life. "Thank you."
Hearing Rukia's words, Isshin took Rukia's hands into his own and Rukia noted that his gaze looked soft. Isshin was about to say something but he was interrupted by the 'James Bond Team', as Rukia took to calling. "We are ready."
Everyone's eyes were focused one of the screens, where a woman in a black dress had just sat down at the bar. The bartender walked over to her and she said something that Rukia couldn't hear. A few moments later, the bartender brought her a martini. "Don't worry, she's not drinking." Rukia gazed at Isshin. "Both the bartender and her knows that she will only be drinking virgin drinks tonight."
So, the bartender was in on this plan too? It was amazing how Kurosaki Enterprise operated, honestly. Rukia squinted her eyes as she observed all the screens, trying to find one that showed her face. All Rukia saw was her back and her long green hair, though. "Here we go!"
A different man shouted this time and all eyes were glued to the screens, alongside with Rukia's. Aizen Sosuke entered the scene, dressed in a suit that did it's best to conceal his soft figure and making a straight beeline to the location where the mystery woman sat. Rukia's gaze stayed at the girl, knowing how scary it must be for her at this moment, the fear of whether Aizen being caught in the act depending on her performance. Wait a minute, that hadn't seemed fair to the woman that was helping Rukia at all. As Aizen tapped on the woman's shoulder, Rukia's gaze shifted. "But, we can't hear anything."
"We can." Isshin motioned to the earpiece hidden in his right ear, causing Rukia to frown, noting that she was the only one without the hidden earpiece. "I thought it would be best if you didn't hear his voice."
"I want one."
Just like back in the restaurant, Isshin raised one of his eyebrows, hesitant. "I don't want you to relieve -- "
Before Isshin could say more, Rukia cut him off. "I need to see and hear everything. If she's going through it, I don't want her to be alone."
Taking a moment to decide and then nodding his head, Isshin walked over to a nearby table and retrieved another earpiece, assisting Rukia to place it on and then clicking the ON button. Instantly, the voice in the earpiece seemed too close for Rukia' comfort zone.
"Do you mind if I join you?"
"Of course not."
"That's quite the dress."
As Aizen lifted a piece of the woman's hair off her shoulder, Rukia noted how the woman's body tensed up, causing a smile enveloping Aizen' face. Knowing Aizen, he must be enjoying this.
Isshin's worried about Rukia, honestly. The stuff that she was watching, the stuff that Isshin couldn't protect her from. Don't get it wrong, he knew Rukia was strong. Only a strong woman could have dealt with Ichigo and still stay in the arrangement, after all. He knew Rukia was a warrior, the way that she had handled Ichigo's behaviour and the way she was handling Aizen's assault on the young girl, a warrior who didn't bother checking up on her own well-being, that is. If she wasn't bothering, Isshin decided that he would do it for Rukia. The whole team was watching that bastard Aizen flirting with the young girl as Isshin shifted his gaze from the screens to Rukia. If one hadn't known Rukia well enough, one would be deceived by Rukia's expression when watching the screen. Rukia was neither blinking nor moving but when Isshin had touched her shoulder, she flinched and Isshin took it as a cue, guiding her to a nearby chair, somewhere whereas she would still have a direct line of vision to the screens. Isshin knew, if he had asked her to look away, Rukia would have put up a fight. Having brought a bottle of water for Rukia beforehand, it was left untouched and Isshin couldn't help bit feel responsible. But at the same time, Isshin also knew, if it was up to him, he would have wanted to watch the bastard get his just desserts. Throughout it all. He doubted he would have the closure necessary to move on otherwise.
"Can I get you another?" Aizen asked the young woman, signalling to the bartender.
"Sure." Her voice was tense, even Isshin realized that by now.
The bartender made the drinks and for a split second, Isshin was afraid that Aizen would watch the bartender pour tonic water into the young woman's martini rather than vodka but fortunately, Aizen was too engrossed on the woman's chest to notice. "I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by your friendliness this evening, Ms. Odelschwanck."
"Call me Nel." Nel replied. Isshin winced as he gazed at Rukia. Isshin knew, while the whole situation unfolding was tough to watch, only Rukia would have known the magnitude of the pain.
"Alright then, Nel. A toast." Aizen raised his glass, causing Nel to have done the same as well.
"To new friendships."
Throughout the whole ordeal, Rukia refused to look away. She knew she had needed this in order to move on, she knew only when Aizen was being caught by Isshin's team did she not need to fear for her future anymore. But, the worst thing was, watching this and resisting the urge to puke. Yet, as Nel and Aizen had a toast to their new 'Friendship', Rukia had to remind herself that this was the easiest part. For Aizen to be caught, it was required for Nel to do this. Not that it made it any easier to watch, of course. What's more, Rukia would have to watch the monster, Aizen, on the other screen, the one recording the hotel room, having to watch him do what he had never attempted with her but would be attempting with another girl. Rukia knew that would be the result in the end, of course, but just simply thinking about that... Ever since the conversation with Isshin yesterday, she had known it hadn't sat right with her, for someone to be sacrificed for her sake. Personally watching that said girl be sacrificed was another issue altogether. Despite how Isshin had said that it was for the sake of protecting her and she was grateful for that, it hadn't sat right with her, not even for one moment. Oblivious to Isshin's gaze fixating on her, her hand reached for the earpiece, attempting to take it out when she felt another hand on top of hers. Shifting her gaze from the screen to Isshin, even though her expression revealed nothing, she was certain Isshin could have seen the inner turmoil going inside her judging by the look that he was giving her. "I won't lie to you." Rukia's hand halted as she gazed at Isshin. "It's not going to be pretty." Rukia flinched but otherwise, said nothing. Isshin hadn't said anything Rukia hadn't known, after all. "You can walk out of this room, at any moment, knowing that Aizen Sosuke would never be a threat to you again." Rukia gazed at Isshin, tears swimming in her eyes but she had refused to allow them to fall, not in front of Isshin who was set on helping her, not in front of the team. "But, if it was me and this was my nightmare..." Isshin's tone of voice had changed, Rukia noted. "I would stay. I would stay and watch this son of a bitch incriminate himself on camera. I would stay and make sure I had something in my mind to replay that wasn't him winning. I would stay and and watch him fall."
With that, Isshin removed his hand off Rukia's and Rukia turned back to look at the screen. It hadn't sat right when Isshin had told her somebody would be sacrificed such that she could be a distant side-note, but it was also not sitting right with her if she was to stop listening right there and then, letting Nel suffer alone. Besides, what Isshin said... Placing her hands down back on the table, she resumed watching the screens, Isshin's words fuelling her courage.
"Would you like to come upstairs? I have a standing reservation at this hotel every weekend." Finally, it was time.
Nel laughed in response and Rukia was impressed by Nel's acting and performance overall. If it was up to Rukia, she would have chickened out a while ago. "I have a room here too. A little staycation."
"Oh, lovely!" Clearly, Aizen was more than drunk by now. Asking for the bill, Aizen offered the bartender a card. "Bring this up to my suite, will you? I have no time to wait around for it now." After that, he was helping Nel off the stool, making no attempt at hiding the fact that he was openly ogling her. Leaving the bar together, Rukia and the team watched as both Aizen and Nel had gotten in the elevator. Panic rose inside Rukia as they were unable to see anything. Her worries were put to rest as both of them appeared in the screens once more, opening the door to the hotel room. After reaching the hotel room, Aizen opened the minibar fridge popped a bottle of champagne while Nel gazed around the room nervously. She accepted the champagne flute and both of them toasted once more. Rukia watched the screen without removing her gaze away, hands clenching into fists. "You know, Nel, you are always welcome to come back to the Sosuke team for good, full-time. I miss having you around the office. Getting to see you walking down the hallway..." It was more than obvious where Aizen was directing the comment to. "In fact, I would love to have you working on my team, under me, directly."
Nel leaned closer to Aizen. "What's your proposal, exactly?"
"We can arrange something, I'm sure. If you make me happy, I can make you very, very happy. Anything I say at Sosuke Cooperation goes, my dear. It's time you left Hueco Mundo." Aizen twirled a piece of Nel's hair around his fingers, his face just inches from hers. "If you keep me company, I will make sure you have a real part at Sosuke Cooperations. No more assistant work. Let's get you into management."
Nel pretended to be thinking. "So... If I sleep with you, you will recruit me into management? That's more than a 6-figure salary."
"You would deserve every penny of it."
Two of the men who was watching the screens had decided it was all the information they needed to catch Aizen in the act and raced to the door. Rukia desperately prayed mentally that they would be in time, that Nel doesn't have to suffer more than that, that she doesn't have to see what's coming next. "So...?" Aizen asked Nel, lowering his face.
"So..." It was obvious that Nel was simply stalling for time, time until Isshin's team reached..
It seemed that Aizen had misinterpreted Nel's tone for either lust or approval because at the very next moment, Aizen was kissing Nel, causing Nel's champagne flute to fall to the ground as Aizen pushed her back onto the bed, straddling her. Slamming the table harshly, Rukia had enough and took out the earpiece and stood up, making her way to the door herself. "Wait, Rukia!" But, Rukia hadn't heard Isshin. All she could think was Aizen all over Nel and Nel not having the strength to push him off. "Look!" Rukia gazed at the screen once more, witnessing how Isshin's team had finally rushed in, barging through the room and yanking Aizen off Nel. He was thrown onto the ground by one men while the other helped Nel race out of the room. A bottle was placed in front of Rukia and Rukia took it, her eyes revealing nothing but the bottle shaking in her hands. "It's done." Taking a few moments to calm her breathing and herself down as he sipped the water in front of her, she listened to Isshin speak. "It's all over. We will keep him in a separate room until the police comes. We will have the tapes ready."
"W-Where..." Rukia cursed herself mentally as she was unable to keep the shaking out of her tone. "Where does she go now?"
"Home. We all get to go home."
Opening her eyes, Rukia narrowed her eyes to some thudding noise she could hear. As she travelled back in the car ride last night, she couldn't help but feel amazed by Nel's strength and perseverance. She had been lacking in that department ever since her rejection, with everything that had happened with Ukitake and the Kurosakis'. With Aizen no longer a threat, Rukia knew she could start applying for jobs again, really applying without fear of what Aizen might do. Just that simple thought would have made Rukia smile although she was still traumatized by the things that she had seen last night. Once she had arrived at her bedroom the previous night, she fell asleep instantly. If not for this thudding noise that was bothering her, she would have slept even longer. Sighing as she walked out of her bedroom, she had thought the sound would have came from the kitchen since Ichigo wasn't one to wake up until the afternoon. Yet, as Rukia neared Ichigo's room, she realized the door was half open. Curiosity getting the better of her, she took a step too many and had a clear line of sight into Ichigo's room. Where Ichigo wasn't entangled with one, but 2 women. Rukia stood there as if frozen, not believing the sight in front of her. All 3 of them were naked and tangled up, like gum in curly hair. Snapping back to her thoughts, Rukia closed her eyes before taking a deep breath, for fear that she would fucking lash out at Ichigo. "I apologize for disturbing you."
"Come on, sweetheart! Join us!" Rukia narrowed her eyes. If it was just the both of them, she would have slapped Ichigo for the comment already. "It's warm in here." As the woman laughed along with Ichigo, he smirked. "That's my wife."
With that said, Rukia slammed the door before stomping out of her house and into the elevator.
Ino. I need you. Ino???
Ino wasn't answering Rukia's texts but Rukia desperately needed someone to vent to, right now. Just like Ichigo hadn't cared what the fuck Rukia was doing on her own timing, Rukia hadn't cared either but seriously? Did Ichigo have to bring women home the whole entire time and have sex with them like he was simply eating lunch? It would be a miracle if he hadn't gotten AIDS already! Why can't they be civil? This is practically Ichigo rubbing in her face that this is a fake marriage! Rukia knew that, of course, but does Ichigo have to do that every fucking time? As Rukia reached Ino's Flower Shop, the beautiful arrangements of flowers outside the storefront distracted Rukia from what she had to endure back home. Ino had organized shelves of potted plants, with a couple of larger on either side of the door. Brightly coloured and in full- bloom, all of them simply looked picture-perfect, unlike her marriage. So caught up in her own mind, Rukia hadn't had time to wonder why the door was closed as Ino was never one to close the door in business hours, Rukia had simply opened the door. "You will never guess what Ichigo did..." Well, that was a scene to behold as Ino was sitting at the counter with a man, vaguely familiar man, standing between her legs. Oh, come on! Not just Ichigo but Ino as well? Rukia was about to step out of the shop when the 'Vaguely Familiar' man turned to see who was speaking and Rukia froze in shock. Okay, what the hell was going on...?
Author's Notes: Purposely leaving a cliffhanger. But, I don't think it's much of a cliffhanger because I know majority of you should know who is the person kissing Ino. All the same, give me your guesses! I am interested to hear them! :3 Some of you has been wanting to see Aizen's justice being served to him. I hope this chapter satisfies all of you in a sense. :3 Aizen has been harassing Rukia long enough, I had to settle Aizen Sosuke once and for all. :3 Let's hope he doesn't come back again. Fingers crossed. :3 One issue of Rukia has been settled. :3 On another note, why do I have the feeling that Isshin feels more like Rukia's husband than Ichigo? XD
