Prompt: The history of Lowee and how it became so flat.

"...I don't understand." Blanc was gazing at the yellowed photo, with an intensity that could possibly burn a hole through the paper. "Okay, Lowee's Shares don't make every single one of its CPU flat by default. But...How? What's so special about her?"

Mina gave her a concerned look from behind the nearest bookshelf. "Lady Blanc? Is there anything wrong?"

"Not really. Have you found more records on my predecessor?"

"I'm looking. It's quite hard to find records about Lavender Heart, because she's notoriously reclusive, and hardly appears in public during her reign." Mina paused, and added, "Maybe she wasn't as...well-received by the people as you thought."

Delphinus glanced down at the people below the balcony, and hunched her back just a little more. Another strike over her invitation of foreign Makers to boost Lowee's failing industries. Another request for her to be "more engaged with the public".

Sometimes, she really wondered why they hadn't just withdrawn their faith in unison, the moment she came into existence. That way, they wouldn't have to look at such a...busty, gross old woman anymore.

But no. Enough people wanted to keep her alive and miserable, in the name of "progress" and "reform" and "creating a more mature image of the nation".

If they didn't scream at her for caving in to the old guards when she started dressing up in the traditional Lolita fashion, she might actually shed a tear of gratitude.

Delphinus sighed and walked back into her room, slamming the door shut behind her. Just another day in the life of the least fitting Goddess of Lowee.

Onyx Heart banged the handle of her trident against the ground. Not too loud, of course—that would make her sound mean, and she was already angry and mean enough in her human form.

The crowd in front of her fell silent. They were still smiling happily, and there was a festive atmosphere in the air, but Onyx Heart couldn't help but wonder if they were afraid of her, even in this form.

"Hello there, folks!" She said. "Once again, we've come together at this time of the year, to celebrate Lowee's history and achievements."

"Now, some of you might be a teeny tiny bit upset, and I can understand. We've managed to hold our own against Lastation pretty well, but recently, some of the brightest stars in our Basilicom have decided that Lowee is no longer the place for them."

"I sincerely hope that they will not regret this decision. But what they view as old and boring? In my eyes, that's what makes Lowee such a happy place. Are we really gonna build chimneys and factories all over our cities, and pump the sky full of smoke, like what they're doing in Lastation?"

A loud "No!" could be heard from the crowd.

"Progress comes with a cost, and if that cost is the laughter of children, the beautiful forest and snowy tundra that elderly folks can take a walk in, I think it is a cost that Lowee cannot afford."

"We have always been the most powerful and united nation, since the time of the great Ruby Heart. Planeptune and Eden have never surpassed our achievements, and Lastation, with their factories and 'modern' outlook, may have won in the short term."

"But great nations come and go, and Lowee is here to stay, forever young and full of fun for the whole family, just like me and all the CPUs that come before me. Thanks for listening to my speech. Now, go forth and have fun!"

Mauve Heart tugged at the purple ribbon on her braid. She knew that everyone was watching the succession ritual with awe, but this new look was...not what she was expecting. A little too girly, really, compared to her tomboyish appearance as a Candidate.

"Oh my." She turned to her older sister, who was standing behind her, now back in her white kimono and red skirt. "I look just like you, but more mature."

She gave Mauve Heart a tired smile, made a bow to the audience, and stepped back. As Mauve Heart levitated off the ground, she noticed that her chest size didn't change—which was a good thing. She couldn't help but giggle a little, as she imagined herself having the bust size of Eden's Goddess. It would look so...wrong.

Her older sister coughed at her. Almost immediately, she straightened her back, and put on the most serious, mature expression she could manage.

Rubis was back in her human form, the moment she touched the ground. Behind her, the ape let out one final scream and collapsed. With a flick of her wrist, the huge smoking pistol in her right hand dematerialized into a bunch of pixels.

It took a while for her people to come forward. One by one, the clan leaders knelt down before her in complete silence, their tattered leather hats almost touching the ground. She could feel their faith, streaming into her small body from every direction.

The great monster that tore through the heartland of Lowee was no more, and for now, the nomads of the tundra could rejoice as one.

But she sensed doubts, too. Her childlike appearance was too similar to the wandering Goddess before her, and whatever protection Silver Heart could offer was a matter of luck and chances.

Her people had proven that they could unit as one in the face of crisis. But now that the beast had been slain, would they go back to the chaotic, rootless life they had before?

No. She wouldn't let that happen. They needed laws and orders and unity, the only thing that could fend off the chaos of nature, and grant them a peaceful and happy life.

"Rise, and listen carefully." She glanced at the kneeling men.

"I came into existence in the harshest winter, during which the great beast did not dare to roam further north. I must be like a frail flower in your eyes, one that could not withstand the change of season, and would wither alongside her people once summer came."

"But you, who led the feuding clans of the tundra, have put your differences aside and grant me your faith, allowing me to triumph over the beast. You've sacrificed your personal grudges and selfish interest for the greater good, you've come to see each other as brothers and sisters in arms, and will you break this bond apart for your old life?"

They shook their heads in unison.

"I am every bit as resilient and adaptable as you. So stay with me, on this plain where the beast fell. Together, we should make this land our eternal home. It would be a grand kingdom of fantasy and wonder, of magic and great power, a symbol of men's victory over nature!"

Her name is Sirokani, the shamaness sang, her child sang, and her grandchildren sang, and she had heard the same song for generations.

Silver Heart flew through the sky. She didn't know where she was going, but if she kept on flying, she would eventually see people on the ground beneath. Dancing around the fire, herding their cattle, hunting for pelts and feathers.

Sometimes they gave her stew, or necklaces made of bones and shiny stones, or pleaded to her in words she couldn't quite understand—but after a while, she knew that they wanted her to slay the strange monsters that lurked around at night.

After the monsters were dead, the children would build little snow people in her image, and she would feel a strange warmth in her chest. She was shorter than most of the children, too, and the adults always gave her this funny look when she dragged back dead monsters that were much, much larger than her.

These people—her people, never stayed in one place for long. They were always moving, from the forests to the marshes, the flat plains to the jagged coastline.

And she was forever by their side, just like the wind and snow that swept through the land all year round.

Just some random headcanons about Lowee's past CPUs.

In chronical order, it'll be Game & Watch—Famicom/NES—Super Famicom/SNES—N64—GameCube.

Sirokani is Ainu for "silver", and I envision that the tundra of Lowee, prior to its unification, would probably be populated by nomadic tribes whose Goddess followed them wherever they went, and they never built a Basilicom as a result.

Rubis killing a giant monkey monster is a reference to the Nintendo vs. Universal lawsuit, and her pistol weapon is based on the NES Zapper.

Her successor, Mauve Heart, had an HDD Form that shares an aesthetic with Rubis's human form. From what I've seen, most people liked to combine the Super Famicom/SNES as the HDD or upgraded form of a Famicom/NES CPU, but I still prefer it to be an independent CPU altogether.

In the N64 era, many major third-party developers had left Nintendo for Sony, due to Nintendo's insistence of sticking to the cartridge format. I've translated that as traditionalism vs. industrialization, and Onyx Heart's nasty temper in human form causing her Basilicom staff to leave Lowee for Lastation. Her trident references the N64 controller shape.

Nintendo in the GameCube era was kind of torn between the "kiddie game maker" image and the market's demand for more "mature, adult" games, so Delphinus is the only CPU of Lowee that's mature and busty, and suffers from a kind of reverse flat-chested angst as a result.
