An alarm goes off on my phone and like always my eyes snap open and I get up relatively quickly as I have been trained to do for the past 20 years. I quickly turn off the alarm on my phone, noticing that its 11:00pm then I turn on the light in my room. I look an notice Yumi standing up looking staring at me. I pet her and she sits there for a bit then runs over to her food quickly. Like always a bit of her white fur falls out, something i'll have to clean up on my days off like usual.

About twenty five minutes pass in that time I used the restroom, get cleaned up, put on my Work Uniform, eat a cup of ramen and then watch part of a GrayStillPlays Youtube Video. Noticing the time I do a quick once over making sure I have my I.D. Jackpot Card and other miscellaneous stuff. After I get my Phone and VR Headset I start to like the room.

As I was making my way out and about to closer the door to my room Yumi runs up me and tries to climb on my shoulder like she usually does. For some reason she likes to lay around my neck like a scarf.

"Yumi i'll be back in a bit okay? Don't go messing thing up in my room while i'm gone." I said to her while I put her down on the floor.

I quickly look and make sure she has enough food and water while i'm gone. After making sure I once again start to leave my room and close the door. Before I close the door completely I see Yumi laying in her makeshift cat bed, staring at me a bit with her Teal color eyes before laying down and taking a nap.

I left my house not knowing this would be the last time I got to see her...

I walk outside and make my way to my dads car. Like usually he's already there waiting for me since he woke up ahead of me and got the car warmed up. I enter the car and put my seat belt on. After that I still my VR headset down on the floor and put a bottle of water I grabbed on my way out in a cup holder so I can reach for my phone and put some Jazz music on.

Me and my Dad both like to listen to Ehrlin since Keralis uses those songs in his Minecraft time lapse we love them alot.

The drive to work is relatively the same took about 15 mins to get there. By the time I get to work I already drunk all the water in the Great Value water bottle I brought with me. So when we arrive at the employee entrance at Hard Rock Casino I get out of the car while taking the empty water bottle to throw away. Of course I also take my phone and VR Headset with me.

"Around 7:45" I said to my dad before I closed the door to the car.

As I walk my way to the trash can by the entrance to throw the bottle away I hear my dad drive off. After that's done I make my way towards the stairs that lead to the employee entrance but a few steps later I hear some one call out to me.

"Sup Steven." I hear my friend and fellow Glass Gang Member call out to me.

"Sup Krishton!" I said while still making my way down the stairs.

Me and Krishton make our way inside and to the Key Cabinet while talking about different things. Once we get our keys I say the routine thing that I know annoys her a bit but she obviously gotten use to.

"Sooooo... Where's Josh?" I say while trying to hide my smile. Which isn't hard since were still forced to wear masks.

"I don't know I haven't seen him yet." Krishton says while looking at me with a look that just screamed 'Really?'

I of course knew that Josh didn't always get her at the same time with us but I always like to do this Banter.

We talk a bit more then we reach the time clocks. We wait until it is 11:53pm before we clock in. Once that we make our way towards dispatch.

"One sec, got to use the bathroom." Krishton said while she heads to the Women's Restroom.

"Kay." I said while waiting a few seconds then continuing my way to dispatch.

She stops in the restroom everytime so it doesn't surprise me. Everytime I do stop a few seconds because I contemplate if I should wait outside the restroom for her. I usually don't though because I don't want to seem weird.

I make it to the door that leads into dispatch and I see an Elderly man walk out.

"Hi Don!" I said to Don.

Don is a Co-Worker of mine I tend to annoy him since I act Childish but he tends to worry about me anyways and most of the time were on good terms. Except the few times when I take my antics to far then he gets mad for a bit.

"Hey Stevon!" Don said back to me while spraying his cleaning rag with the spray bottle were forced to carry.

Don then walks off over to the FJP station doing his own thing. I make my way inside Dispatch and I see Dylan and Matt sharing monitor. It doesn't take two people to watch monitor but there like best friends and they do it so they can talk to each other. Considering Mary's the M.O.D for today I can see why there doing it.

"Sup Matt! Sup Dylan!" I said while putting my stuff up and getting a radio on.

"Sup Steven." They said then they went back to talking about whatever there were on about before.

Usually there each more talkative but when there both together they tend to talk to each more than others. After I get my radio on I hear the door open and Krishton walks in. She walks over to Matt and Dylan and joins in on the conversation. At one point she asks where she is then I stopped paying attention. I start cleaning my Radio. An unnecessary step I do to just waste a bit more time.

After a while Matt and Dylan where i'm at and they tell me i'm in Casino three with Avalon. Then Josh, the final member of the Glasses Gang walks in a few seconds later.

"Sup Josh!" I said to Josh while he's putting his stuff up.

"Hey Steven." Josh said while getting a Radio.

Me and Krishton is are ready to go out on the Casino floor but we wait for Josh. Once he's done all 3 of us, The Glasses Gang walk out of Dispatch.

"So Josh, Krishton where are you guys at?" I said while walking with them to the two three split.

"I'm in Casino One with Matt." Josh said

"Bet! Im in Casino two with Dylan. So what are you guys break?" Krishton asked.

We reach the the two three split and stand around for a tiny bit.

"I don't know my breaks yet." I said.

"I got the late 30s." Krishton said with a bit of excitement. She always liked getting the late 30s.

"I have third dispatch so I have 1:30, 3:30, and 6:00." Josh said.

We talk for a bit more then we each go to our assigned Casino. As I walk through my Casino I see Avalon walking by.

"Sup Avalon!" I said while resting my hands on my hip like Superman. I do all kinds of quirky stuff.

"Heeeey~ Steven!" Avalon said while getting her zone sheet out.

After talking for a bit Avalon tells me after a bit that my breaks are 2,4 and 6. After that I just walk around the Casino, pushing chairs in and answering a few machine helps. Nothing really interesting happens throughout the first few hours.

I walk up to one of the FJP station and look at the time like I usually do so I can see how long it is until my break. I already had my first break now i'm waiting for my lunch.

"3:46 alright! Almost time for lunch!" I said out loud. But on the inside I could care less.

I decide to walk around aimlessly for a bit hoping to kill some time. But then I see some security guards rushing towards Casino two. I don't know where they went but obviously I was curious. But I figured i'll be noisy about it later. So I continue to walk around not even a few minutes later do I someone unfamiliar on the radio.

"This is a Code- I repeat a Code- all employees must-" Said a male voice over the Radio but I stopped paying attention. I assume he must be Security.

Just as I was about to go find Avalon and see what's going on I heard loud gunshots coming from the direction of Casino two followed by alot of screams.

Hearing Gunshots is nothing new for me so I don't feel afraid because of it. I feel afraid because my two closest friends are over there. So for the first time in a long time... I drop the act.

My cheerful expression is gone. My eyes become some what blank. I straighten my posture and put up my guard. This isn't the same Steven everyone knew this is the regrettably the REAL Steven. The one who in the past used his intelligence for... questionable things and made who ever crossed him pay dearly. A Steven when it comes down to it... isn't afraid to end a threat. With any. Means. Necessary.

I quickly rip my Radio of my waist, holding it in my hand while quickly making my way through the crowd of people that are running around trying to leave the building like headless chickens.

As I continue to make my way to Casino Two only one objective is in my mind. Find out what's happening.

More gun shots go off and I quickly notice now that i'm in Casino two that there coming from zone 10 in Casino one. So I make my way over there. As I get closer I see Krishton and Josh over by the ATM that's close to that area, making there way to K-2 FJP station which is a little ways away. I quickly catch up with them.

"Holy shit! Things getting real!" Krishton said to Josh but then notices me walking over to her and Josh.

"STEVEN! What are you-" Krishton asks but then notices something is off about me.

At some point I took off my glasses and hung them on my waist. I told them before that they were just for show but they didn't particularly believe me. But that's not what catches Krishton's attention. My cold eyes and posture and the fact that gunshots are going off still not to far away from us and i'm just standing there as if unfazed by the commotion. Which truly I was.

Josh notices to and then finally speaks up.

"Steven! What in the world are you doing over here? Are you fucking crazy?! There's gunshots and you decide to go TOWARDS them?" Josh said with a worried expression.

"I-" I was cut off by gunshot hitting the Slot Machine I was using as cover.

I see a few more mask men carrying side-arms shooting at my direction. I hear Krishton and Josh say Holy shit and quickly make there way towards K-2. But then I saw something I probably wished I hadn't...

There were scared and through caution to the wind to try to sprint straight to the K-2 FJP door. Something that you really shouldn't do in a situation where you under heavy fire. They just found out why you shouldn't.

There laying on the ground are my two closest friends. The friends I had to act foolish around. Despite all things I still enjoyed there companionship and despite them never knowing the real me I still considered them friends to me.

Seconds tick by. I block out all the noise around me and my vision focus on my friends dead bodies. After a few moments all I hear nothing at all. Only staring coldly and emotionlessly at my two best friends bodies.

Nothing.

I felt nothing. No anger, no fear, no sadness, nothing.

The empty void that I always lived with is still present. I don't feel any sort of emotion.

But that make's sense I suppose. I claimed they were my friends but in reality... Weren't they... What's the word i'm looking for...?

Minor interests.

Ha... I suppose that IS the best fitting term.

If truly cared about them wouldn't I have felt something more at there deaths? Maybe if we had a little more time with each other I might have truly opened up to them. It sad but if nothing else...

I look at where the gunfire is still coming from.

I can at least avenge them...

Who am I kidding. One of the few thing's I did feel was annoyance and that's what i'm feeling right now.

I'm annoyed that those I found slightly interesting and entertaining are gone because of them.

Massacre.

That's the only thing you can really call what happened when I entered the battlefield.

Memories and experiences I experienced in the past started to resurface. At first some of the officers that saw me approach tried to stop me. But they ended up dead. Not because of me either but because of there own stupidity. You see whatever was happening here wasn't just some random group just shooting up. The people in the black masks were organized they had training and they weren't afraid to die. The officers made the front of attack while I saw armed security trying to protect the guests. I digress though. These masked men they were obviously a diversion. After all if police and the news are focused on a huge confrontation like this there less likely to notice something else going else where. After all there just local law enforcement not the FBI or CIA. It didn't take me long to realize this and that annoyed me a bit more.

I started to get even more annoyed at the fact that Krishton and Josh died apart of a Diversion. That only fueled my approach. I saw a dead officer and I went to the corpse immediately and looted the body. It wasn't my first time in life doing this so it went relatively easy.

A standard pistol and two spare clips. I secured the spare clips and made my way to the closest cover.

*Bang* Dead.

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* *Bang* 6 more masked men dead. Just like that. All headshots.

The ones I had took down was pinning down an officer. After the man realized he was in the clear he looked towards my direction since he could tell that's where the shots came from. I just looked at him with my cold dead eyes and just nodded at the man. I knew right after I started firing that any chance of me going back to how things were before this was gone. I just killed 9 people after all. Plus with the several Step three's I had I can imagine they wouldn't want to welcome back a killer onto there staff. With that thought in mind I viewed the Officers as neutral reinforcements. However if they got in my way I would not hesitate to shoot them down as well.

Some time passes and more and more of the intruders are dying by my hand. At some point the SWAT came in to as well but then so did some more Black S.U.V's. This time they came with Automatic Rifles. Of course that being given at one point I snuck up behind one of the Intruders that had a rifle and used the pin I used to write with and stab the rifleman in the throat. Blood splattered all over my Uniform shirt and my face but like always, I remained unfazed.

Sadly at one point the SWAT tried to take me down to. After all in a situation like this and you see an unknown shooting with a rifle they made the right call trying to eliminate the unknown threat. Of course they now lay dead 12 meters away from me.

It goes on like this for a few more hours and I don't just rack up kills of the intruders but enforcements as wells. At one point one person tried to sneak up behind me while I was reloading but I quickly focused all my strength and on my lower body and then did a Ultra Instinct Goku style One legged Donkey kick. That gave me some distance I immediately aimed a punched at the Officers throat and then jumped and aimed a kick with all my weight into it at one of his knees. With his leg broken I go around and put my arms around his neck and then-

*snap*

I go back to where I dropped my rifle then proceed to pick it up when all of a sudden.

*14 Rifle Rounds Going Off*

I slowly look down and see myself filled with holes. I slowly turn and look at the Officer I just killed and of course it wasn't him. He's still dead after all. No it was about 3 other swat members I notice a bit away from me. I got absorbed into the one on one that I forgot to search the area for other hostiles. Which in this case was everybody now. They saw a chance to take down a hostile and they did it. I can't hate them for that.

I cough up blood and slowly fall face down on the ground my vision going blank. After all this isn't some Anime where I get to live a last few moments until I finish saying my last few words. Those rounds tore through me like swiss cheese and i'm pretty sure one blew a hole through my heart.

As darkness claims I realized my only regret was not achieving a dream I recently found. I wanted to learn Chinese Martial Arts...

Then there was darkness.
