With over 225 indigenous languages in Europe, despite (or perhaps because of) it only being ca 3% of the world, there is a high interest in including more of these languages in the average European's vocabulary.
Or rather to expand the average European's vocabulary with other European languages than their Mother Language.
Multilingualism isn't just a tool for increasing one's chances with success, whatever it's form, but also for enrichening oneself and understanding others and their cultures better.
