A BIT OF CLARIFICATION FOR THE REVIEWERS

Now I have to add this since some reviews made me feel bad for having you think so hard about the secret character and her correlation with the plot, the truth is that the character has nothing to do with the story plotline itsefl, it is just a bonus chapter. Since I feel bad about a lot of people misunderstanding this point I decided that I will make an exception and not count last chapter's guesses.

Also, I noticed someone saying that the reviews are only for the guesses, that's wrong, you are free to review as much a s you want, about what you want, in the rules I just pointed out that I will not accept any guess through PM.

Don't expect the greatest plot ever after all this is humor/romance and it is a special! Okay that's all! Enjoy!

Love of the Headless

Ainz had spent the most part of his night reading, not that he could sleep in the first place, for him there was no difference between day and night anymore.

This could be considered a good thing for the load of work he had to deal with but in reality the lack of any need made his sense of time become more and more foggy, the fact he was underground and didn't have any sun to rely on wasn't helping.

Deciding he had rested enough he rose from his bad and made his way to his office, as soon as he entered he noticed the maid of the day standing next to his desk 'Yuri, I see…' he thought, he had predicted that the eldest and stricter of the Pleiades would volunteer for the first day 'to give a good example to her youngers, you truly took after Yamaiko-san that much, didn't you Yuri?' he mused inside.

"Good morning Ainz-sama."

The maid greeted him bowing her head in the most formal way possible.

"Umu… good morning to you Yuri, I hope I didn't arrive too soon."

He greeted as he took place on his usual seat behind his desk.

"Of course not Ainz-sama, the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick belongs to you, there is no place you couldn't access at any time you wanted."

The maid stated, the next few minutes were spent in silence as Ainz thought about how he wanted to begin the conversation that would lead to his matter of interest.

"I actually had predicted that you would be the first Pleiades to come here."

He began, Yuri expression didn't change.

"Of course, there is no way Ainz-sama couldn't predict my actions, we are truly blessed to have with us the wisest of the Supreme Beings."

She said with a small bow.

"Ah?!... no, no, no… what allowed me to predict your actions was how much you took after your creator, Yamaiko would always take care of youngsters, she was a true teacher to the bone."

Explained Ainz, this time Yuri's mouth slightly opened as if she wanted to say something but couldn't for some reason.

"I-I… am unworthy of such praise Ainz-sama! To think I could be compared to my creator Yamaiko-sama, there is no way I could even be something more than nothing compared to her greatness!"

She said as she slightly panicked at Ainz' words even with her passive [Emotional Suppression] kicking in.

"Don't say things like that Yuri, my friends loved you all very much and would not be happy knowing you had such little opinion of yourselves; I am actually very happy you all took so much after your creators, you remind me of all of them, that makes me feel very happy."

Yuri's whole body froze at Ainz' words, if she wasn't undead she was sure tears would be running down her face by now and her heart would be beating full speed, even her [Emotional Suppression] couldn't stop the raw flow of emotions going through her mind right now 'Ainz-sama is truly worthy of being the Supreme Beings' leader, such compassion… no wonder Albedo-sama and Shalltear-sama… but me too I would like… but I'm just a maid…' as those thoughts were going through the eldest Pleiades' mind Ainz took her silence as acceptance of his words, he decided to proceed forward to the main point.

"I know that these last weeks had been troubling for you all, what happened was a result of my miscalculations, for that I'm very sorry."

He apologized bowing his head, Yuri eyes went wide in shock as she fell on her knees and prostrated, trying to lower herself as much as possible.

"No ! You didn't commit any error! It should be us who kneel and beg for forgiveness! We couldn't even accomplish the task we were given! We do not deserve such compassion, please Ainz-sama punish us in any way you see fit for our sins!"

She cried out; before coming here she was afraid of the punishment their Lord would give them, but after seeing his compassion, hearing his kind words and even hearing him take all the blame for their failures on himself she couldn't resist any longer.

Any punishment would be better than to hear their Lord blame himself for their inability and foolishness.

"Yuri, please rise."

At Ainz' order Yuri decided to cautiously rise her head but she didn't dare to make eye contact with her Master and preferred to watch his exposed ribcage.

"As I said I do not consider any of you at fault for the events of these last weeks, please now rise, it is rather bothersome to speak with you while you lay on the ground."

Regaining her composure thanks to her passive skill Yuri slowly obeyed her Master's order and stood up.

"I implore your forgiveness for having you see such a display unworthy of a servant of Nazarick."

She said bowing once more.

"It's fine, you are forgiven, I would rather speak about your reward for your services."

Ainz said trying to diverge the conversation away from that sensible point.

"Rewards are unneeded; serving the Supreme Beings is already the greatest reward anyone could ask for."

Yuri said with confidence, Ainz sighed internally.

"Then consider this an order, for the end of the day I want you to tell me what you desire as a reward."

Ainz said desperately.

"A-Ainz-sama… I…"

Yuri began but was interrupted by a regal gesture from Ainz.

"I will hear no more of this, my decision is final."

He declared with a firm tone.

"A-As you wish my lord."

Yuri said 'what did we do to deserve such kindness from Supreme One? Do we even deserve to be in his presence? Ainz-sama…'

{Hours later}

Today the work went very smoothly, Ainz wondered if the constant gaze of Albedo subconsciously unnerved him, he never worked that well and fast before, sure he didn't understand half the things he read but it's still a huge improvement from what he understood before.

He put his pen down and glanced at the pile of paper, it was definitely lower than that morning, he glanced at the clock in the room 'already 6 pm?! Oh well I guess time flies when you are so immersed and concentrated', he glanced at Yuri who didn't move an inch from where she stood that morning.

"Yuri have you decided what you want as a reward?!"

He asked the Dullahan, she hesitated before opening her mouth.

"I-I… I would like to… NO! it is silly, I'm sorry !"

She spoke, this was the first time he had seen her so our of her normal cold attitude.

"Please Yuri tell me what you want, no matter how childish it could be, I will not make fun of you."

Ainz tried to reassure her.

"Well… Ainz-sama… I… would like… to see my Creator again!"

Yuri said bowing her head in shame at her request, silence descended in the room for few seconds.

"I apologize Ainz-sama, I knew it was silly, I will think about som-"

She was interrupted by Ainz as he stood up from his chair.

"Very well then, we are going to see Yamaiko-san now."

He declared as he marched out of the room, after few seconds of shock Yuri immediately proceeded to follow him; they passed through various halls and corridors until they reached the treasury, there she was given a Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown to be allowed to pass, they didn't meet Pandora's Actor there since he was busy with other duties at the moment.

Before entering the mausoleum they both removed their rings; the internal part of the mausoleum was dark with few light illuminating the majestic forms of the Supreme Beings, Yuri knew that they were nothing but golems but she felt their majestic power nonetheless.

They walked down the line till they reached the twelfth golem on the right line, there stood the form of the Nephilem known as Yamaiko.

Yuri slowly advanced toward the golem and slowly placed a trembling hand on the golem's chest, she lovingly caressed the golem made in her creator's image; Ainz stood not even a meter away observing the scene in silence.

"… I miss you so much Yamaiko-sama…"

It was a whisper but Ainz heard it nonetheless, Ainz' non existing heart cracked at that moment, in his mind he vowed once more 'I will protect them all, no one will suffer anymore, yes… I will protect all their smiles even at the cost of my life!'.

As soon as Yuri turned away from her creator Ainz' hand gently grabbed the Dullahan's shoulder and pushed her head against his chest as a father did with his children.

"A-A-A-A-Ainz-z-z-S-s-s-s-samaaa?!"

The undead panicked, her [Emotional Suppression] wasn't enough even to barely suppress all that flow of emotions, it impacted with her mind as she felt dizzy.

"She loved you very much Yuri, never forget that, they all loved you all, and I'm sure they still do wherever they are."

Ainz said in a low tone.

"I will take care of you all; this is a promise."

He said aloud.

"Ainz-sama…"

Yuri said as she began to sob, even if she couldn't cry her emotions still raged inside her needing to be released in some way.

"I know I'm asking something from you but could all that happened today remain between us two Yuri?"

The undead overlord asked.

"Y-yes, Ainz-sama."

Agreed Yuri before closing her eyes.

"May I stay like this for some more moments my Lord?"

She asked.

"Yes you may."

He answered; Yuri felt in that moment a foreign emotion arise inside her, a warmth her undead body shouldn't be able to feel 'I'm sorry Albedo-sama, Shalltear-sama.. but I too… wish to remain by Ainz-sama's side forever'.
