Alfred F. Jones, the Personification of the Nation of United States of America, took his seat in the movie theater.
He'd been formally invited to the opening of this new movie The Jazz Singer, and been promised a new experience unlike anything he'd seen before. However, no one had bothered to tell him what he would experience tonight, preferring to keep it as a surprise.
And what a surprise it was!
There was talking! On the big screen!
It was incredible!
At the end of the movie, Alfred wasn't just impressed, he was also trembling with excitement at the future of movies.
He could hardly wait until he came home, so he could call Arthur and brag.
