Francis Bonnefoy considered himself a neat and clean person.
Not as obsessed with it as the German brothers, but he did like to look his best.
That, however, wasn't his reason for applauding the abolishment of capital punishment.
He just felt that his people could accomplish more, and be happier if they were shown even the slightest amount of love. And not killing them, even when they'd committed the most henious of crimes, didn't that show love?
