When Alfred was first introduced to camera obscura, he could barely constrain his childish enthusiasm about the phenomenon.
That the possibilities he imagined seemed unlimited as well, only made him even more enthusiastic about the future possibilites to this wonder.
So, when a comet was actually discovered using photographic means, a method derived from camera obscura, it wasn't really a surprise that in his joy he made a dent in the ceiling when he heard the news.
