About time, Matthew thought as he watched the final verdict of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, which overruled the one that the Supreme Court of Canada had given.
Finally, every Canadian was considered a "person".
Well, he'd to concede that not every Canadian was. There were still prejudices concerning those whom were not white.
Still, the important thing, today, was that Canadian women were considered people, and therefore eligible to sit in the Senate.
Unseen by everyone, Matthew had followed the procedure all day, and he felt really happy about the results.
