Maryanne stormed into Cybill's seething.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Cybill asked, "and why are you back so soon?"

"I had to get out of there. My mother asked me why I broke up my family."

"How long had you been there before she asked that?"

"Four hours," Maryanne answered.

"I'm sorry, pal," Cybill sat with Maryanne on the couch and put her arm around her.

"I finally told her off. It felt great, but nothing will change."

"Why don't we try to focus on your wedding and the baby?"

"Damn, I need a dress."

"We can go shopping now if you want."

"Sure, but we aren't shopping here."

The next thing Cybill knew, she was in Milan. "You know, I love being your best friend. I never know which country you will take me to run a simple errand."

"Buying my wedding dress is an errand?"

"You know what I mean."

Maryanne's phone began to ring, "it's my brother," she said shocked.

"Well, answer it."

Maryanne did, "Hi, Robert."

"Hey, sis," Robert responded, "Me, Ray, Debra, and Amy would like to come to your wedding. We aren't telling ma, though. Ray said he has a sports thing to cover and I said that I'm taking Amy away. Is it alright if we come?"

"Of course it is," Maryanne smiled, "listen, tell Amy and Debra to pack a few things and head to the airport. In fact, tell Debra to bring Ally. I'll send you the flight details."

Maryanne hung up and turned to her friend who was smiling. "Are we having a bachelorette party?"

"No, I'm going to buy my niece and sisters-in-law dresses. The bachelorette party is supposed to be one last stalking of Dr. Dick."

Maryanne had a car bring Amy, Debra, and Ally to the boutique. "Maryanne, this is incredible," Debra said.

"I can't believe you flew us out here," Amy added.

"I would fake modesty but it's not my best color. Now, let's find the three of you something to wear."

Cybill had gone to the hotel so that Maryanne could have some alone time with her family. She was going to meet them for dinner after. "Maryanne, this is all too much," Debra said.

"Nonsense, what's the point of getting Dr. Dick's money if I can't blow it on frivolous things?"

"Well, I have no idea where I'm going to wear these clothes. I can't wear them to the grocery store."

"Why not?"

Debra smiled, "Yeah, why not."

"Mom, look at that sparkly elephant," Ally said.

The women walked up to where Ally was pointing, "that's a purse," Maryanne said. She signaled for the salesgirl to ring it up. "Debra, Amy, do you see anything you like?"

"You've bought us more than enough," Amy said.

"Yeah, we couldn't ask for anything else," Debra added.

Maryanne watched the two women look around. She bought Debra and Amy each a jewelry set and purse they had admired without telling them. The four met up with Cybill for dinner and Maryanne revealed what she had purchased for Amy and Debra. Ally hadn't realized that Maryanne had bought the purse. She ran and hugged the woman, "thank you, Aunt Maryanne. I'll take care of it. I promise."

The women spent the night in Milan before heading back on Maryanne's private plane. They stopped in New York to drop Amy, Ally, and Debra off before heading home. Maryanne was sending the plane for the three in a few days to join her at her bachelorette party.

"Where did you go?" Ray asked.

"Yeah, where did Maryanne send you?" Robert asked.

"Milan," Debra said before she and Amy casually sat down.

"Seriously?" Robert asked.

"Why would our sister send you to Milan?" Ray asked.

"She wanted to buy us something to wear to the wedding," Amy answered.

"What are all of those bags?" Ray asked.

"Oh, those are the things she bought us just because we looked at them. What we're wearing to the wedding went with her," Debra answered.

"Daddy, Aunt Maryanne bought me the most beautiful purse," Ally said as she showed the purse to her dad.

Ray and Robert were blown away, "so this is a fancy wedding?" Robert asked.

"Just wear a tux like you would to any other wedding," Debra said.

"You better get these bags out of here before ma sees them," Ray said.

Debra ran to take the bags upstairs. She had agreed to hide Amy's since she lived with Marie. The next time Marie went to the supermarket, then they would sneak the bags over.

Three days later was Maryanne's bachelorette party.

"I can't believe we just did that," Debra said laughing.

"The worst I've ever done is get a speeding ticket," Amy said, "and I actually got off with a warning."

"Why did we do this?" Ally asked.

"To end one chapter of my life so that I can start a new one," Maryanne answered.

"It was fun," Ally said.

"Yeah, don't get used to it," Debra said sternly, "admire your aunt but don't copy her."

"She shouldn't copy anyway. Ally, be one of a kind because copycats are annoying," Maryanne said.

It was the day of the wedding and the women were upstairs getting ready while the men waited downstairs. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Debra answered it to make sure that it wasn't Richard. "Holy crap!"

Maryanne spun around and saw her father in a tux, "what are you doing here?"

"I came to fulfill my fatherly duty and give my daughter away."

"Maryanne, we'll be downstairs," Amy said and everyone left.

"What about ma?"

"Yeah, I think she actually feels bad."

"What makes you think that?"

"She's outside waiting to apologize."

"What?" Maryanne was shocked when her mother walked in.

"Sweetheart, I'm so sorry for what I said. I hadn't realized how badly Dick damaged you."

"Ray yelled at you didn't he?"

"Sort of, but I've had a lot of time to think about what you said. I don't want to lose you again and I am so thrilled to be getting another grandchild. You are a forty-three-year-old woman and you can make your own decisions. I'm sorry I called you a tramp."

"Thank you," Maryanne hugged her mother, "oh, I have something for you." Maryanne went to her closet and brought out something she had bought for her mother in Milan. "I bought this because I thought it would be perfect for you to wear today. I guess I was hoping you would be here."

"It's gorgeous," Marie was shocked, "thank you." She smiled and hugged her daughter again before changing. "This is absolutely beautiful," Marie said when she walked out.

"It's like a magic dress," Frank said, "you're beautiful."

Marie rolled her eyes and smiled, "not as beautiful as the bride. Now, are you ready?" She asked her daughter.

"Yeah," Maryanne answered. Marie left to tell everyone to take their places. She waited on the stairs for her daughter and Frank to make sure that Richard didn't see her early.

"I don't know how you became so beautiful," Frank said, "you certainly didn't get that from your mother." Maryanne laughed, "I'm teasing, but don't tell her. I have a reputation to uphold."

"You're secret is safe with me."

The wedding was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Marie had realized after talking to the family, her grandson included, that Dick had really done a number on Maryanne. She wanted to make things right with her daughter and Maryanne was hoping it would last.
