The École Polytechnique massacre, had been the actions of a man with mental problems and, more importantly, an attack designed to "fight feminism" through the murder of fourteen women and the injury of ten others.
Disregarding the horrible fact that lives had been taken, this massacre was just another horrible example of violence against women.
Violence against women is a horrible act for several reasons; the act of violence itself, hurting people because they are weaker than themselves and the belief that women are lesser beings and therefore could be done to as one pleased, to mention a few things.
These are the main reasons that violence against women has to be fought and prevented at every turn.
