SAILOR MOON S CHAPTER 21

As soon as Hotaru regained consciousness the first sight she saw was the faces of Rini and Amy. Especially Rini, who was seated in a chair right next to her pillow. Amy was in a chair against the wall. "You're awake!" Rini exclaimed loudly but Hotaru blinked with confusion. "Who are you and where am I?"
Amy stood up and walked over as Rini said, "I'm Rini and this is Amy. We both found you lying unconscious down town. We had you taken here to hospital."
Amy began to explain. "My mother works here as a doctor. She stabilized you as best she could. What is your name?"
Hotaru frowned and a sad sigh issued from her. "I wish I knew. But I'vecompletely forgotten my name and everything about me."
Rini gasped. "You have no clue who you are!"
"No. I have a vague feeling I was with somebody I am very close to before I blacked out. Somebody I love very much, but as to who that person is, my mind is a complete blank. Everything's a blank for that matter."
Amy said, "You have what is called amnesia. I'll let Mum and the other doctors know so they can try to treat you."
Before Hotaru could say another word she went into a spasm of pain and Amy told Rini to keep an eye on her while she ran to alert the staff. Hotaru felt very disturbed. It was as if her body was inhabited by not just one but several people. She could hear voices in her head. A babble of female voices. They all wanted to know how they ended up trapped together and longed to break free. It terrified her. She felt she should understand what was happening to at least a certain extent. The mystery made her discomfort even worse.

As for Tomodachi, when she had run away in terror along with the entire crowd of people, she had covered several blocks until she ran into Mr. Baxter's park. She ran so fast nobody who noticed her had time to react to what they saw or heard for that matter as she was bawling her big eyes out. Eventually she threw herself into some shrubbery and sobbed amidst the foliage. What had just happenned? And was Hotaru all right? She was still terrified from the whole experience, but some people had noticed her nearby. It was Game Machine Joe, the man who secretly used psychic levitation power to win plenty of stuffed toys at the game arcade for children who had little or nothing of their own. He was with two small children and their mother giving them some toys to choose what they wanted from. The woman exclaimed. "My goodness! What is going on?" Her two little boys were a bit nervous and wary, but Joe said he would go and investigate.

Peering into the bushes at Tomo he said, "Hello."

"Go away! Leave me alone!"
Joe thought for a moment and then answered, "It looks like you're very upset."
This softened Tomo and looking up at him she said slowly, "Yes. I had a dreadful experience."
Joe continued. "A dreadful experience."
"That's right. I was frightened half to death and I'm also worried for my friend."
Joe kept talking gently and nicely to Tomo and promised he would look after and try to help her. Then Tomo said hello to the children and their mother. After introductions she and the boys played together with stuffed toys from Joe.

"My name is Billy."
"And my name is Robert. What's yours?"

"I'm known as Tomo."

The mother said, "I'm Jasmine Miller. Delighted to make your acquaintance Tomo."

After a little while Jasmine offered to dtive Tomo home to seek help from her husband in finding her friend Hotaru. "He's a cop and he's making the most of his day off to rest and relax, but he'll put a missing person's report in to the station."
Tomo thanked her profusely and she, Billy and Robert bid goodbye to Joe each taking a toy of their choice.

As they drove off, there were two other cars in other parts of the city with occupants who were also concerned. Eudial had Doorknobdar still locked magically in a crate in the back of her vehicle racking her brain for a plan on how to get rid of her. Elsewhere Mimette was driving around with Chagama and Henshu supernaturally disguised as regular young women. They kept their eyes peeled for any sign of Tomo and Hotaru on the streets.

As for Eudial, she just so happened to notice Mina being followed by Serena, Luna and Artemis. They were still trying to reason with her, but not having much success. "You just don't understand Serena. And you should. Your heart was targetted."
Serena protested. "Yes, but it was horrible. Think Mina. It turned me into a zombie. You want that to happen to you?"

"Of course I don't Serena! All I want is to be recognized by the enemy as having a pure heart. Did I ever actually say I wanted to allow them to take and keep it?"

Eudial had her car parked with the windows down and her sharp little ears picked up the dialogue between Mina and Serena. She was surprised and momentarily alarmed. "What the hay? Those girls are talking about our plans," she thought to herself. Of course she realized that many people must be aware that strange scary things were going on, but it sounded like Serena and Mina knew much more than they should. Then it clicked in her mind. "Either those girls know the mysterious females who've been opposing us, or they are them in disguise. I'll capture them and get rid of them along with Doorknobdar."

So casting a spell she suddenly yanked Serena and Mina up and through the air to their great surprise and they both landed upon the roof of her car taking their breath away. They were magically glued in place on their bellies. They couldn't get off. Not that they would have wanted to as Eudial raced off with a loud zoom miraculously avoiding crashing into other traffic. Evidently more magic was imvolved as the cars were unperturbed, even as Eudial raced between them safely. They didn't even see her, even though they seemed to brush against her vehicle. It was like she was both invisible and passing through them.

Luna and Artemis both took one look at each other. Then immediately ran off to alert Raye, Amy and Lita. Serena was not feeling very happy but her worry and discomfort were made worse by Mina's insane exclamations of manic joy. "The enemy must be driving this car! You realize what this means Serena? THEY'VE TARGETTED ME! FINALLY I AM A CHOSEN VICTIM! I"M NOW THE SAME AS THE REST OF US!" Serena wished she'd knock it off, but she was too ill to tell her that.

Even if Eudial was invisible on the road, people watching on the sidewalks were shocked and bewildered at the sight. But it just so happened that Amara, Michelle and Trista were standing by a corner streetlight having a quiet heart-to-heart talk. Imagine their surprise to behold the sight. Trista said to the other two, "Hurry and don't lose them! I'll try to track down our leader in the meantime." Amara and Michelle ran off at super-human speed. They seemed to be gifted with extraordinary stamina keeping Eudial's car just in sight as she sped on her way.

Upon seeing an underground car park with a barrier placed in front of its entrance saying "Closed for today," Eudial had a brainwave. "Perfect. There'll be nobody at all down there."
She spun the wheel running over the barrier as she drove towards the privacy below with Mina and Serena still hopelesly stuck. Little did she know that Amara and Michelle were after her.

She had an idea to let the two girls she'd captured take care of Doorkmobdar. Pullimg her car to a screeching halt at the end of the driveway she magicked all the exits tightly shut. Amara and Michelle only just barely entered before the large main iron door clanged ominously in place. They were sealed inside while Eudial released the spell keeping Serena and Mina stuck. They immediately sprang to their feet on top of the car roof gingerly climbing down. At least Serena did. Unfortunately Mina was still too excited about what had happened and forgot to be careful, stumbling and landing with a crash twisting her ankle, breaking her arm and striking her head. Serena gasped in horror at Mina's unconscious body.

Eudial mocked her as she stepped out of her car and quickly ran around to open the trunk. "Go on and change into your battle outfit. Or are you too scared of me and my power?"

Serena noticed Amara and Michelle and was very surprised. "What are you two doing here?"
"Never mind about those two. Have you the guts to show your identity and fight me?"

Serena was reluctant to reveal her identity though she didn't know Amara and Michelle already knew she was Sailor Moon. Looking at Mina's prone body she sighed and reached into her pocket producing her brooch. "I'll show you piece of sleaze trash. MOON COSMIC POWER!"

Amara and Michelle watched in silence as she transformed and Eudial opened the box releasing Doorknobdar, who was thoroughly confused. "W-what's going on Auntie Eudial?"

Eudial sneered as she replied. "Here's your surprise Doorknobdat. You get the special privelege of destroying one of those enemy girls yourself. Go get her."
Doorknobdar was horrified. "Wait a minute. I-I'm a terrible fighter. I can't get rid of her."

Eudial snapped at her to do it and with a magical gesture a big rectangular shield resembling a door appeared in Doorknobdat's hand, her fingers encircling the knob. Eudial laughed at her own wit. "You were created from a doorknob. What other fitting sort of weapon for you?"
"O-okay." Doorknobdar gulped. Eudial laughed to herself knowing how ineffective that door would be to protect her,

However Sailor Moon suddemly gasped in shock and disbelief as she put her hand to her forehead. "My tiara's gone. I'ver lost my weapon!"

When Doorknobdar heard that she thought to herself, "No weapon. And she's the only one present. Maybe I can just handle her."
Then to Eudial's own dismay she hurled herself at Salor Moon knocking her to the ground on her back and proceeded to pound her relentlessly with the door. "Well it's not what I expected, but if I bide my time perhaps she might just destroy one of those meddlesome girls. Then I'll destroy her myself.

But Amara said to Michelle. "We have to assist her."
"I agree with you."
They prepared to transform. What would this lead to?
