SAILOR MOON S CHAPTER 22
"NEPTUNE STAR POWER!"
"URANUS STAR POWER!"
Both Eudial and Doorknobdar were frozen with alarm at this unexpected turn of events. They barely had time to register the situation as Sailor Neptune launched her attack.
"NEPTUNE DEEP SUBMERGE!"
A magic wave of water appeared rushing straight towards Doorknobdar. It passed completely over Sailor Moon leaving her and the shield she was trapped under dry as a bone, while picking up Doorknobdar and throwing her away landing on her back all wet and bedraggled.
Sailor Moon was still dazed from the beating she had been receiving, but she took things in and thought to herself, "Amara and Michelle are Sailor Scouts too? Then this means? Amara is not what we thought he was? H-he's a? I can't believe it."
At that moment there came loud shouts and noises from behind the iron walls Eudial had barricaded up all the entryways with. Artemis and Luna had alerted Mars, Mercury and Jupiter and they had used Mercury's data computer to pinpoint the location of their friends. Doorknobdar began to feel terrified as she listened to them trying to break through with Mars Fire and Jupiter Thunder. Throwing herself at the perplexed witch's feet she begged. "Auntie Eudial. This is not a nice surprise. Please protect me."
Eudial was feeling so disgusted by this time that she shoved Doorknobdar aside with her foot and prepared to cast a spell to destroy her. But she had forgotten to consider her situation carefully and Sailor Uranus chose to attack her then.
"URANUS WORLD SHAKING!"
As an enormous fireball rolled along the floor towards her, Eudial gasped in fear and shock. She barely managed to throw up a magic shield to dispell it, however she did not avoid total damage. With red, blistery burns on her right arm and leg she collapsed backwatds groaning in agony, just as the other Scouts finally broke through the barrier.
Sailor Uranus shouted pointing at Eudial, "There is your enemy!"
Doorknobdar, coward that she was, suddenly made up her mind. Leaping to her feet she stood her ground defiantly in front of Eudial. "You pushed me out of the way of that last attack Auntie Eudial. I may be a lousy fighter but I will not let them hurt you again. Even if I die, I swear it will be shielding you from further harm. You get away if you can."
This display of sacrificial love shocked Eudial and brought tears to her eyes. Tears of shame and regret as she remembered how when she was a little girl long ago. The emotions choked her up for that little girl had been so very different from the woman she now was. That girl was sweet and pure. She had tarnished herself when she grew up lusting after the glory she thought the dark arts could bring her and her friends she had led after her. Finally the last of the witches was conscience-struck through the influence of Souchi and Kaori's creations.
As Mars and Jupiter ran to join Uranus and Neptune, Mercury ran to check on Moon and Venus with the cats right behind her. Eudial knew what she had to do and summoned upall her magical energy to place a safety barrier in front of Doorknobdar sealing off the Sailors access completely. Despite the pain she gritted her teeth in intense concentration as she crawled over to the being she had previously been determined to destroy. "Doorknobdar! We'll escape together. Help me get to my feet and into the car."
Doorknobdar complied and while the Scouts vainly tried to attack, Eudial climbed behind the wheel and Doorknobdar into the front passenger seat. The pain Eudial felt was agonizing, so it was nothing short of miraculous that she was able to make the car disappear and change its position to just outside the barrier before quickly driving away. She really didn't care much what directon they went, as long as it was away from the Sailor Scouts.
Eventually they came to a deserted twisty road out of town overlooking a huge body of water. Eudial parked at the top of a very steep incline, and began to sob once more burying her face in her hands. Doorknobdar placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, there's no need to cry now. We got away."
Eudial wailed louder than ever to Doorkmobdar's dismay. "OOOOOOHH! I'm crying because I'm a dreadful woman!"
"What do you mean Auntie Eudial? I think you're very sweet."
Eudial struggled to speak, her voice convulsed with sobs. "Oh D-d- Doorknobd-d-dar. If only you knew the the t-t-truth. You w-would have every r-reason to d-d-despise me."
"Auntie Eudial!"
Before Eudial could say or do anything in response a big, loud, creepy voice spoke inside her head making her jerk in a spasm of pain and shock. "So Eudial. You have shown your true colours at heart."
"W-w-wha? But!"
"Did you really think Germatoid and Mistress 9 would let you go unobserved? I, Pharoah 90, have been silently watching your every move. You have now outlived the last of your reprieve time."
Then the car began to speed off by itself down the incline as Eudial and Doorknobdar screamed in terror. As it reached the turn in the road, it ploughed straight through the railing, flew through the air and disappeared in the water with a huge splash. Nobody was present to witness the event.
Meanwhile Mimette was still searching around to try to find Hotaru and Tomo. Henshu and Chagama were earnestly assisting, but they had no luck at all. "This doesn't look very hopeful girls." Mimette sighed sadly. "We'll have to head back home soon."
"It's distressing Auntie Mimette" said Chagama.
"Maybe our other Aunties will have some idea of what we can do," added Henshu.
But as they were driving off Mimette suddenly had a pang of nervousness. "Oh dear," she thought to herself. "I completely forgot that I was supposed to be analyzing that unusual weapon we captured with Tellu, Byruit and Cyprine. I didn't have time to cast any spell so they wouldn't notice me gone anyway. How will I explain myself?"
She tried to take comfort and assure herself. "Surely our demonic masters won't want Hotaru erspecially lost out in the city. I'll need to tell the other witches the truth in any case. Mistress 9 and the others will be reasonable under the circumstances."
