Shokuhou and Junko, Dolly and Mitori, as well as Misaka herself all gathered at that crêpe place, that Junko suggested to her at the start of this adventure, each coming from different sides as they didn't share a dorm. Crêpes of various taste were shared along with indirect kisses, creating an image, that bystanders had trouble interpreting.
Not just bystanders, though. Misaka still didn't know, how this form of dating would work out between the four of them plus Mitori arranged into a strange Venn diagram. Shokuhou sketched the current situation as a graph, with nodes for each of them and edges between those who confessed their love for each other. Alas, it was more complicated than a triangle, but not yet complicated enough to invoke the language of graph theory. Still, as was obvious from the drawing, a perfect matching did not exist.
Though even if one did exist, Shokuhou and Dolly were already very open about not wanting to search one.
Shokuhou laid her remotes on the table. "I'll be honest with you, so they won't serve a purpose here." At least she wanted to make it appear that way, which in Misaka's eyes was already a tiny step forward.
"Yep, honesty will be very important, especially for you two." Mitori was looking at Misaka and Shokuhou. "You'll have to cut your tsundere act and honestly tell each other how you feel, especially if asked."
Junko was already confused. "Tsundere act? What tsundere act?"
"It's referring to how Misaka-chan and I usually bicker at each other." Did Shokuhou just "-chan" her? How dare she! "By the way, it would be nice if you could call me Misaki-chan too. Junko too."
"Of course, Misaki-sama!"
"It's a start, I guess." Misaki let out a relieved sigh.
Meanwhile Misaka was wondering, how she ended up in this.
Finally, after all of Junko's efforts to get those two together, Misaka and Misaki could be called a thing. But as much as she wanted to congratulate herself for this achievement, it really was a team victory. Dolly and Mitori helped just as much as Senya.
Still, never in her wildest dreams would she herself have been a part of that arrangement. Misaki was just too generous, even going as far as allowing her to call her by her given name. That's why everyone loved the Queen.
But now that her greatest mission had been accomplished, how should Junko best serve her Queen? Just dating her would be an insult to her greatness, but her body and mind was all she had to offer.
"Misaki-sama, I will always do my best for you!"
Even without Mental Out Misaki could always tell, when Junko was being honest, and in this case she was understating her effort. "You know, it wouldn't hurt if you took it easy for once."
"You should probably stop, before she falls victim to your destructive urges." Mitori squeezed out a laugh all for herself, although Misaki also had to chuckle at Junko's expense.
"Don't worry about that, I have her urges under control," Misaki set up a continuation. "Most of the time."
"You're talking about different urges now, aren't you?" Misaka quickly got wind of the innuendo. "Like Kuroko's urge to stalk me."
"Speaking of which…" Misaki made sure to look around for Kuroko, but she wasn't the only problem if two people with Misaka's face were so close to each other. Towards random shop owners they could always claim to be sisters, but towards people they knew, it would have been more difficult. "Phew, she's not here."
"I made sure, she's following 10032 for the day," Misaka revealed.
"10032." What sounded like just a number was in actuality far from it. It was one higher than the number of clones killed by the first-ranked Level 5 in an attempt at a Level 6 shift.
Even if to Dolly it was all but hearsay, having been told about the experiment by Mi-chan, just the idea of it frightened her. Thinking about how the goal of experimenting on her was to find out how long clones could live, while others were subject of an experiment on how quickly they would die, was sickening, and Dolly came close to vomiting whenever she did.
Luckily she had Mi-chan and Misaki, and now also her big sister and Junko.
"By the way, I'm also calling dibs on Misaki-chan's ass." Mitori readied her riding crop.
"My ass? What do you mean by that?" Misaki-chan was rightfully afraid of Mitori. While she was thankful for reuniting her with Dolly, she still had a little pent-up anger for what she had put her through, that she needed to let out. Plus, since Dolly's body was still rather weak, she'd never get to use her toys otherwise. "What are you going to do with those? Tell me!"
"Oh, you'll find out. I'm about to… never mind, I'm not that cruel." No, she was more cruel than that. "If you want to find out, I'll have you beg for it. Come on and say it. Say 'Please, Mitori, call dibs on my ass'."
"I won't, much less in public." After all, she really was just too cute. Like Dolly said, holding back might be a little too hard for Mitori.
"It's Judgement!" Somewhere nearby, Kuroko was solving yet another incident. But there was no sign of 10032 anywhere. Did she perhaps leave her alone? What if she found out, that she wasn't Misaka after all? "That's what you get for getting between me and onee-sama!" Her worries turned out to be unfounded after all.
But apparently, she was not the only one worried about Kuroko. "Just to be safe in the case she ends up here, can I take this remote for now?" Misaki's offer was a bit too generous, though. Especially after she put them there for the sake of the others.
"I'll hold onto those remotes for you." Misaka could not hide her relationship from her forever, so she reserved that option for the absolutely worst case. Her electricity should be enough to handle her otherwise.
Kuroko teleported twice, the second time along with 10032, who she still confused for her onee-sama. "There's a wonderful crêpe place over there, let's eat something, onee-sama!"
"If you insist, says Misaka, not really feeling that hungry."
Electric shocks would not suffice if Kuroko found them now.
"Strategic retreat!" Junko called and the others quickly followed her. Misaka grabbed Misaki and carried her like the spoilt princess she was, otherwise they would have been too slow.
"Hmm?" Kuroko had just finished with her Judgement work and now there was yet another ruckus. She decided to let it slide until Uiharu informed her about the specifics. "Isn't that the handbag of that annoying woman, who first made me forget about onee-sama and than made a move on her?" After looking at its contents, she grinned widely.
