Chapter 23
Harry woke up feeling cold. He had a headache that told him that he had been hit on the head and he felt a cold band around his left wrist.
"It needed to be done Ron. We left it too long. Dumbledore made us promise to look out for him. This is how we do that. He hasn't been in class for over a month. Why do you think that is? Being with them is making Harry fall behind in his schoolwork. I can guarantee you Ron, that the reason we haven't seen him for over a month is because he has already given birth. Look at him before you say anything. Do you see a 'pregnancy' stomach?" came a female voice.
"No, I don't. But abducting him 'Mione? That's a new low for us. Stunning someone to keep them from being hurt is one thing. This…this is a criminal act. We could go to Azkaban." A male voice responded. 'Ron and Hermione' Harry thought, keeping his eyes closed.
"We do what we must to keep our loved ones safe." Hermione whispered. There was the sound of movement before no sounds besides 3 sets of breaths. 'It's just the 2 of them here. If I play this right, I might be able to escape.' Harry thought.
"What do you think he was talking about with Neville and Malfoy?" Ron whispered.
"I don't think it matters. They left him, which gave us the perfect opening to save him before he's changed forever." Hermione asserted. "If it was something serious, they would have been there for longer. Harry also would have gone back up to the castle with them."
'Thank goodness…' Harry thought. 'They still don't know about Draco's pregnancy. He's safe…for now…and so is Neville.'
"Shouldn't he be awake by now?" Ron asked
"Yeah. He probably is and he's just pretending to be asleep." Hermione speculated. Harry heard someone walking on floorboards, getting closer to him. There was silence before he felt a sharp pain on his right upper arm. Harry opened his eyes and hissed at the offender: Hermione.
"Told you Ron. He was just pretending." Hermione said smugly, stepping backwards.
Lucius had never seen his mate so angry. Severus' wings were out, his eyes were red, and He showed no signs of calming down anytime soon. It was well after dinner time and Harry still wasn't home. Severus had let out his Alpha growl that had resonated throughout Hogwarts (Lucius should know as he was nowhere near his mate when he had heard it) and Harry hadn't come home.
"Sev, let me talk to Draco. He went to talk with them. Maybe they know where he is." Lucius' only response was an accepting Growl. Lucius rushed next door to Neville's and Draco's rooms, and urgently pounded on the door. Neville came to the door.
"Lucius. What can we do for you?" Lucius pushed past Neville, looking for his son. He found Draco sitting on the lounge. "Father." Draco acknowledged.
"Where is Harry? Is he here? Tell me that he is with you." Lucius demanded in his 'don't lie to me' father tone.
Draco looked up at his father, hearing the slight desperation in his father's voice. "I haven't seen Mami for a few hours. We left him by the lake. He was helping me talk some sense into Neville and we came back here and talked about it. Wait…was that Severus' growl I heard earlier?"
"Yes. Harry still isn't home, and I can't calm him down. He's not talking, only growling." Lucius explained.
"If Harry heard the growl, he would already be home, if he was able to be." Neville chimed in. "Maybe it's linked with what I saw. When we were on our way inside, I saw Ron and Hermione heading towards the gate instead of following us inside. They looked nervous."
Lucius let out an angry growl, nodding his head in thanks and told Severus what he had heard. The anger was tangible after Lucius relayed what he had been told. Severus tore out of the room to talk to McGonagall, Lucius hot on his heels. Lucius popped in on Neville and Draco again, asking them to care for Lily, Abraxas and Oscar until they got back. After getting the yes, Lucius took off after Severus. They had never gotten to the headmaster's office so quickly (2 minutes flat), with Severus scaring all the students along the way. By the time Lucius had gotten to the headmaster's office, Severus was about to pounce on McGonagall. Lucius grabbed Severus, holding him. While Lucius was holding onto Severus, he got McGonagall to explain what he had missed out on. All McGonagall had been able to make out amidst Severus' growls was "Ron…Hermione…dead." Lucius explained everything to McGonagall whilst telling her that the 2 students had 30 minutes to return Harry before both Severus and Lucius took matters into their own hands. McGonagall tore out of her office to see what she could do.
29 minutes later, McGonagall brought Ron and Hermione into her office to see the 2 very pissed off Vampires demanding answers from the 2 students. Ron and Hermione tried playing dumb and saying that they had no idea what they were talking about, but after being told that there was a witness that saw them leaving school premises at an unusual time, they gave each other knowing looks and remained tight-lipped. After 2 hours of Sev and Luc interrogating the students and getting nowhere, McGonagall let the 2 students go.
"Why?" Severus Growled.
"Because you weren't getting anywhere with them and they weren't saying anything. Give it time." McGonagall tried explaining.
"Who is to say that Harry has time to begin with?" Lucius rebutted.
"They were friends. I doubt that they are going to kill him." McGonagall Answered. "Go to bed. We'll try again tomorrow."
Severus and Lucius left McGonagall's office and went back to their rooms. Lucius wrote a letter to all his friends at the ministry and daily prophet to get their story out and to cover their bases, because once they had Harry back and he confirmed that it was Weasley and Granger that abducted him, Weasley and Granger wouldn't live to see another sunrise. Neville and Draco ended up staying the night to help care for the triplets.
It had been 3 days and they were still no closer to finding Harry. Severus had tried tracking Harry to no avail. Neville and Draco had stayed over since Harry had gone missing because Draco refused to leave his family's side. Neville would go to the Great Hall to talk to friends to see what they knew and to see if they had found out anything new. No one had any new information. Weasley and Granger were always somewhere to be found. They weren't always together anymore and sometimes one of them would disappear for a couple of hours at a time, but no one knew where they were going. Severus, Lucius, and the triplets didn't look to good. The triplets looked like they were malnourished, and Severus and Lucius looked like they were sleep deprived and malnourished. Severus and Lucius could tell (via the link) that Harry was alive, nervous, and angry but they couldn't communicate with him. They didn't know if that was because Harry was blocking them out or if it was because Harry had something in his system that was preventing them from talking.
Harry didn't know how long he'd been chained to the bed. Despite the window, it had been spelled so Harry couldn't make out any form of time. Ron and Hermione left a bucket at the base of the bed for him to do his business in and they 'fed' him (human food) once a day. Who knows how long he had gone without blood…who knows how long he could go without blood? One of them came once a day and they would try to strike up a conversation with him. Harry would only stare at them until they left. He refused to speak to them. He felt weak and his mind felt foggy. This was the longest he had gone without blood since he'd turned. It seemed like a lifetime ago now. Harry could feel his triplets within him. Something he didn't realise he could do. They were a little distressed and seemed to be a little hungry but, for the most part, they were fine. He couldn't sense his mates though. It was weird and unsettling. Harry had always been able to feel his mates, ever since the bonding. Now…nothing and it made him nervous. Harry hoped that his mates would find him soon. He had a sneaky suspicion that the lack of blood that Hermione and Ron were 'forgetting' to give him would kill him.
"Neville." Came a whispering in Neville's ear at the Great Hall. Neville looked up to find Luna staring at Weasley and Granger.
"Luna. What's going on?" Neville asked.
"One of them is about to leave. We need to follow them." Luna whispered. It had been 6 days since Harry had gone missing and his family had been reduced to growls, whines and moans. None of them spoke anymore. Even Draco refused to speak. He wouldn't even smile at Neville anymore. He only moved from the couch when the babies cried. Neville's heart was breaking. He needed to find Harry and soon. This is why he just blindly followed Luna and let her lead the way. They were waiting behind a tree near the gates for a good 5 minutes before Neville said "Luna, are you sure about this?"
"Yes. They've been on school grounds all day."
"How do you know?"
"A house-elf told me." Luna answered vaguely.
"Okay." Neville didn't have as much blind faith in Luna that Harry did, but she was the only one to come up with something so far so Neville would see it though. A couple of minutes later, Ron and Hermione came into view. Luna was right. They were leaving the grounds together. Neville and Luna cast disillusionment charms on themselves before following the pair off school grounds. Neville thought for sure that they were about to lose them due to apparition, but the pair continued to walk past the apparition point. They walked together, talking quietly to each other, for 10 minutes, before they came across a house on it's own. Ron and Hermione walked in the front door. It was a single-story house. There was nothing fancy about the house; nothing to make it stand out. Luna and Neville walked around the house, looking into all the windows. First, they found the kitchen, then the lounge room, then a bedroom, then a bathroom, then another bedroom that Harry was in. Luck they were disillusioned or they would have been seen twice by Hermione and Ron, but desperate times called for desperate measures. Neville's family weren't going to survive much longer without Harry. Harry needed to come home. Neville and Luna stayed outside Harry's window for hours. The sun had set hours ago. Just when Neville thought that Hermione and Ron were going to stay the night, they heard the front door open and close. They walked towards the front door and waited. They watched Ron and Hermione walk back towards the school, seeming annoyed. Neville went to open the door but was stopped by Luna. "Wait. You don't know if Hermione has spelled the house. Better to wait until they're at school before rescuing Harry, just in case there is a spell in place. That way, we can be long gone before they get back."
"Smart thinking Luna. Why didn't I think of that?" Neville replied.
"Because you're worried about your mate. It's to be expected." Luna answered. They stood there for the next 15 minutes, feeling like idiots before breaking into the house. Lucky Neville listened to Luna, because as soon as Neville got through the door, a loud shrieking sounded, bound to attract anyone in the area. It was probably safe to say that Hermione also now knew that someone had broken in. Neville ran through the kitchen, down a hallway and opened every door until he found Harry. Harry looked like death warmed up. Neville wasn't even sure Harry was going to make it back to Hogwarts. With Luna's help, they managed to unlock the chain that was trying Harry to the bed and Neville picked Harry up and carried him back to Hogwarts. Neville and Luna only just managed to duck behind a rock before Ron and Hermione came running past. Neville and Luna ran the rest of the way to Hogwarts. Luckily they didn't need to unspell themselves when they crossed onto the school grounds as the schools wards automatically removed the spell for them. Harry hadn't woken up the whole time that Neville had been carrying him. Once they crossed onto school grounds however, Harry's eyes opened.
"Neville? Luna?" Harry croaked.
"We're here Harry. We're going to take you home." Neville whispered. Luna just nodded her head. Neville and Luna ran straight to Severus' quarters. Neville said the password and made Luna go in first so he could close the way behind them. Luna waited for Neville to go first. What greeted them made Luna gasp. Severus and Lucius were fully Vampire: Wings, talons and eyes were out. Draco and the babies were cuddled in the corner of the couch, crying. This sight was not a shock to Neville because it was what had been greeting him for the last 2 days. Luina's gasp caught the attention of Luc and Sev. They turned to see Harry in Neville's arms and Luna behind Neville. Luc and Sev hissed at Luna.
"Wait here." Neville whispered to Luna. "Don't move, don't go anywhere. If you need to move, just sit on the floor."
Neville took Harry up to Severus and laid Harry in Severus' arms before going and cuddling his mate on the couch. Severus bit into his wrist and pressed it against his submissive's mouth. Harry started sucking, eyes flying wide open, staring into his mate's eyes while feeding from him. When Sev had given Harry as much as he could, he took his wrist away, only for Luc's wrist to replace his. Harry was starving. He must not have had any blood at all while he'd been abducted. Harry finally stopped drinking from Luc's wrist. When he did, he threw his arms around his mates and started letting out a mewling sound. Sev and Luc spent the next 4 hours sniffling and checking their mate over, top to bottom. Once they had established that Harry would live, Harry walked to the couch to wrap his arms around Draco and the triplets. Draco spent the next hour just smelling Harry. Once he had gotten his fill, he leaned back into Neville's arms, not moving from the couch. The triplets needed Harry's blood, so Sev and Luc helped Harry feed the triplets (one at a time) until they were content. Then Harry went through another 5 gallons of blood.
"Thank you, Neville. Thank you, Luna. I don't know how much longer I would have lasted if you guys hadn't come and gotten me when you did. How long was I gone for?" Harry started, breaking the silence.
"6 Days." Luna answered. "We need to tell McGonagall straight away. They'd be back by now and we don't want them disappearing before everything has been sorted out."
"Right you are. Luc, stay here with Harry. Neville and Luna, come with me." Severus ordered in his teacher voice. Sev, Neville and Luna all left together.
"How are you doing Harry? Was it Weasley and Granger? What did they do to you?" Luc questioned.
"I'll live. But I'll wait until McGonagall is back so everyone can hear what happened all together and I only have to say it once." Harry answered.
20 minutes later, Severus, Luna, Neville and McGonagall walked into the rooms. Luc, Harry, and Draco were still sitting on the couches. They hadn't moved.
Harry went into detail about what had transpired over the 6 days that Ron and Hermione had held him hostage. He went into detail about how they repeatedly belittled and insulted him and his mates, how he was chained to the bed and how they had essentially starved him, seeing as he could no longer survive on human food. He also told them how Ron and Hermione were threatening to kill his children once Harry was free from Sev and Luc's influence. Severus and Lucius's Eyes went red and then they left. No one did anything. McGonagall was in shock. Severus and Lucius returned an hour later, covered in blood.
"Needless to say, Minerva, we're tendering our resignation. We'll be gone by tomorrow afternoon." Severus said.
"Very well." McGonagall responded before walking out of their rooms. Severus and Lucius got into the shower to wash themselves off. Harry refused to move.
"Mami, let's put the triplets down and get you to bed." Draco directed.
"But…" Harry started.
"But nothing. You and they will both still be here in the morning." Neville explained in his Alpha tone. Normally it wouldn't have worked on Harry, but since he was weakened, he felt the need to oblige.
"Okay. Luna, feel free to crash on the couch." Harry said, standing up. Draco and Neville helped Harry put the triplets down to sleep and helped get Harry into bed. Once Harry was in bed, Luc and Sev crawled into bed with him (one on each side) and went to sleep, for the first time in 6 days.
Draco and Neville crashed in their own bed for the first time in a week.
Neville woke up long before Draco and got the house elves to get their stuff packed up. He also had Luc, Sev and Harry's stuff packed up as well. By the time Draco woke up, all their stuff was packed.
"Ready to go Draco?" Neville asked
"As ready as I'll ever be." Draco answered.
Harry woke up to all their stuff packed. Harry started freaking out. He ran to the triplet's room to find that the triplets were still there. Sev and Luc walked in behind Harry.
"Our stuff is packed because we're going home. It's not safe here and you need to heal. Let's go." Sev spoke softly but he left no room for argument. He picked Lily up and had their stuff taken to Snape Manor. Harry gave Luna a portkey so she could always come visit before they all walked off of the grounds, never to return.
Author's Note: Sorry for the wait peeps. Between Uni, moving (again) and my pregnancy, I haven't had much spare time. But on the flip side. The story has now ended (there might be an epilogue) and I hope you guys enjoyed it. My next story is going to be a drarry because it has been requested by a couple of people for a while. So, I'll be doing my best to get that up for you all.
Thank you for following along and sticking with me through the thick and thin. I know it has been a long haul for this story to be completed. Sorry it took so long, and I hope you enjoyed it at least a little.
