{Hey guys I do apologize for the late update. I struggled a lot with how they were going to rescue J and I am still not very happy with it and I may go and change it later. But, for now I wanted to give you something, so I hope I do not disappoint any of you. If you have any ideas on how to make it better let me know in message or a review. As always, I do not own anything to do with Batman or Suicide Squad only my own characters and anything you do not recognize.}
You know everything was going so smooth for once. When I got to this god forsaken building the guards didn't blink twice when I showed them the badge that said I was a psychologist employed by Arkum asylum. I assumed he was one of the people that Monster T had under his wing. If it wasn't obvious then it was when I walked through the metal detectors didn't go off when both me and Jack were packing some pretty serious weapons, including J's custom-made gun that were tucked into the back of my pants.
I was dolled to the nines, to the point that I didn't even recognize myself. I was wearing a white turtleneck tank top with the white doctor's coat over my shoulders, a pair of grey tight pants with black ankle boots. I also had a pair of grey gloves on, so that all my tattoos were covered, I couldn't risk being identified by them. And to top it all off I was wearing a black wig, a lot of make up and contacts that made my eyes look green. Because Frost and most of J's crew would instantly be recognized so until I could make it to the control room, it would just be me and Jack. But I knew they were not that far away. My heels clicked across the floor as I followed the halls towards where we were told the control room was. We choose to break in at night knowing there was less guards then in the day. The idea was that me and Jack would go to control room and lock the place down. After we would signal the boys who would take anyone down that got in our way. "Do you need me to go in instead?" Jack whispered breaking my thoughts
I saw the door only a few steps from me. I looked around us to make sure no one was around before I leaned closer to him and answered back with as much certainty as I could muster, "I'm ready and I have been for weeks. We are this close, and I am not going to miss this opportunity now."
I wasn't nervous in fact I was giddy. I wanted to blow this place apart just to get to him. But we had a plan and as much as I wanted chaos it would have to wait until J was once more in my arms. "Stay here until my signal." I told Jack as I continued on my journey to the control room
As I stood outside of the control room door, I pushed all my insane thought from my mind and tried to put on the most professional smile I could. I pushed the door open and as soon as I did a guard was up from his seat and his hand on his gun. I looked shocked to have opened the wrong door before I smiled warmly at the guard. I held up a hand and spoke with amusement in my voice, "Sorry, I thought this was my new office."
The guard still seemed wary of me as he had yet to remove his hand from his gun. I pointed behind me down the hall, "Listen I'm new here and I thought the guard had told me that I was to go down the hall and take two rights and a left but, now that I think about it though it could have been two lefts and a right."
I played the innocent act perfectly and the man lowered his guard. "Sorry cant be to careful. Let me bring you back to your office."
He turned around to face the desk as he searched for his keys and as he did, I gripped the gun in my pants. I pulled it out and aimed it at him, "What did you say your name was again?" he asked as he turned around
"Peyton." I pulled the trigger and giggled as I saw his body drop to the floor
"Idiot." I smirked as I stepped over his body to the many controls that were in front of me
At the sound of my gun, Jack came in to make sure everything went okay. "That was quick."
"No time to waste." I whispered as I began to push some of the controls
Jack pulled out his walkie and talked to the boys giving them the all clear. I watched on the camera's get out and start for the building. The first guard I saw took his hint and left his post walking away to let my men come in. Of course, because he was the only guard, once they were in the building bodies began to drop. Once I knew they were on their way I started flipping through the cameras until I found him. Watching some of these people were entertaining let alone the guards that were running around like chickens as they heard the gun shots. As soon as I found J a wide smile lit up my face. He was sitting cross-legged on the floor staring at the camera with a smile to match mine. "Gottcha."
I finished unlocking the doors before Jack shot at the machine so that they couldn't be used after. I grabbed my gun again and skipped my way out of the room with Jack following behind. As we continued down the halls to meet up with the boys, we would shoot anyone who got in our way. I enjoyed when they tried to run away from me. The fear, I could live on it. Being feared was the best feeling in the world. I came around a corner and almost ran right into the new guy on our crew, Carl or as his costume would state his name was eyeball. I liked the kid I did but, he was extremely jumpy. His gun landed just above my chest and I heard the gun cock. My eyes went from the gun to his eyes before mine narrowed in response. "I'd remove your gun before I remove your head." I threatened
He pulled the gun away quicker than I had seen him move before. As soon as he did, I laughed and raised my hand to tap his cheek. I walked past him, and Jack quickly followed to stay on my right and Frost on my left. "Did you find him?" Frost asked
"I sure did." I could feel the giddiness bubbling up inside me and I could tell it was in my voice, "There is a guard in his area. I would assume he would have the keys. He is maximum lock down, one way in and one way out and the best part there is only one guard on duty."
A few more guards were put down, a few more doors and before I knew it I we had the keys and we were waiting at J's door. I stood impatiently as I watched Jack open the door. My fingers tingling in anticipation at seeing my love, the excitement I could feel coursing through my veins. As soon as the door was unlocked and pulled open, I couldn't stop the wide grin that took over my face as my eyes connected with his. The electrifying feeling that emerged from me as he stood at the door watching me and only me. He spread his arms wide and I didn't hesitate when I ran and jumped into his arms an excited giggle bubbling out of me. I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck as I crushed his body into mine. His arms reacted quickly to catch me, one hand holding my ass to keep me attached to him and his other hand that buried itself into my hair. I could hear and feel him place his face into my neck where he inhaled my scent. "Im back baby." He whispered into my ear
Another bubble of laughter came from me and I squeezed him harder if that was even possible. I felt his hand wrap into my hair where he pulled so my neck was stretched backwards. His laughter began then and I writhed in his arms missing that feeling his laughter gave me, pure joy and chaos. Not soon after did he pull my head back to face him before crushing our lips together in what could only be described as pure passion. His growl reacting to my purr that I couldn't stop even if I wanted to. An uncomfortable cough interrupted us, and I felt J tense beneath me. "I don't mean to interrupt boss but, if we don't leave now Batman will be here before we can finish your escape." Frosts voice offered a suggestion behind us
I placed my forehead against his and once more looked into his eyes, "Batsy, batsy, batsy." I singed
"No, my kitten he is right we must go," he sighed and then slapped my ass hard but playfully, "We can finish this later."
I laughed and allowed myself to be disentangled from his body before I turned to face the rest of the group by his side. Jack leaned forward and passed J his guns and purple trench coat which he took happily. As everyone else began to clear out, I skipped along as I followed behind enjoying the feeling of being complete once more. As soon as we had reached the main entrance, I moved on ahead excited just to be ride of this place. I had made it to the front of the group before I slowed down but continued to slowly skip. I could see the full moon shinning bright from inside this dungeon and I laughed at the fact that no one would keep us apart, we would celebrate tonight by reeking havoc on the city. Show the bats who was boss, that you couldn't keep us down. The city thought I was a maniac even while J was in the asylum but we're back baby and nothing would stop us now.
As I was consumed with my thoughts, I could hear my name being faintly called from behind me. Whoever it was sounded panicked. I stopped in my tracks and turned to face the group, to see J rushing towards me and not only Frost's and Jack's guns raised but the groups behind me. Before I could turn around to see what they were all talking about, I felt a sudden and immense pain from the back of my head. My body gave way and I could barely hear the guns that were being shot at someone behind me. My body was heavy and my vision blurry. I could barely feel when J managed to grab me before I hit the floor. I tried to blink away the tears to look at J. From what I could tell was he was trying so desperately to speak to me. To tell me something but I just couldn't hear it. His hand came into my vision and I could see red all over it. What happened? What was going on?
I tried to lift my hand, but it was so hard. "J?" My voice came out with a crack before I could hold on any longer and I allowed my eyelids to close.

Her blood it was all over me. I loved blood, the sight, the smell, the thrill that was always associated with the reason it was present. But, not hers. It is hard to explain the feeling that took over me when I saw that guard hit her in the back of the head before anybody could react. By the time I reached her the guard had multiple gunshots going into his body. But in that moment, I could only look at Peyton, telling her to stay awake and that she promised to live for me she could not die here. A strange feeling took over me as she said my name in such a weak voice. It wasn't anger I knew that much for sure. As her eyes closed, I pushed the hair from her face. Staring at the blood that continued to coat my hands…my shaking hands. Frost and Jack both forced me to my feet with Peyton's lifeless body in my arms. I stumbled outside and into the van and cradled her body to me.
"Jack take us to the doc," Frost ordered as everyone slid in after me, "Boss, how is she?"
I barely heard him. I could feel her breathing against me but, I knew it was shallow. She was barely hanging on and all I could do was stare at her, blood or not she was as beautiful as she was the first day, I saw her. I squeezed her tighter to me and leaned down so my head was against her forehead. "You promised you would live for me Peyton. Don't lie…lie….lie!" I growled in pain
"Boss?" It seemed like Frost had continued to get my attention
"What!" I growled at him
"Is she alive?" he asked me again
My forehead never left hers as I tried to will her to wake up, "For now."
My voice was so foreign to me, it sounded strained. This woman had a hold on me and a strong one at that.

14 DAYS LATER
The pain was immense. That was the first thing I noticed. I could hear someone arguing and the more awake I became the louder they became. My mouth was so dry and there was a pounding in my head. My eyes fluttered open and the lights were to bright. I scrunched up my face but as soon as I moved, the shouting stopped. First person I saw was a man with slicked back green hair, a very pale complexion and tattoos all over his face. He grasped my hand in his and his smile was so wide and inside I wanted to smile with him. "Peyton? Hey kitten." He spoke and I felt the chill go down my spine
I opened my mouth, but I could only cough. "Get her some water." The man ordered someone else in the room
I looked away from the man briefly to see two men in suits standing near the door, both with slicked back hair one with blue eyes and one with brown. The man he spoke to had a strong jaw line and his eyes flicked back and forth between us before he went to get water. It wasn't long before he brought me the glass and placed it to my lips, "Thank you Jack." The man thanked Jack before Jack stepped away to stand by the other man in the suit
My attention was drawn back to the man with the green hair who had now put his hand on my cheek and began to rub in a comforting manner. For as uncertain as I was in this moment and even with the dangerous feeling, I got from this man I could help but feel safe and comforted by his small notion. When I still had yet to say anything, and concern seemed to lace the man's eyes. "Peyton? Are you okay?" he asked
"Im sorry." My voice cracked out
"Sorry?" He asked me before looking back at the men in suits, "Sorry for what?"
"Who is Peyton? I-Im sorry I don't know who any of you are." I stuttered out
The mans hand stilled on my face and his eyes hardened. The scuffle of feet caused me to look over at the men that to looked as shocked as the man beside me. But just as quickly as the words left my mouth the man beside me stood up and threw the chair he was sitting in across the room. My heart jumped in my chest from his anger and I watched as he walked towards the door. After he swung the door open, he turned to face me, and I could see the pain in his eyes. But his laughter filled the air before he stormed out the room and the door slammed shut behind him.

I felt fear, true fear for the first time in my life. She didn't remember me…she lived for me…but she forgot me…forgot us…she wasn't my Peyton anymore.
