Chapter 01: Another Gamer in the Multiverse
Letting out a yawn I sat up wondering what the heck I did last night. Looking around I find myself in the middle of a forest with no sign of human inhabitants.
'Huh... I wonder where the hell I am, I know I'm somewhere in Remnant but I honestly thought I'd wake up somewhere inhabited not wherever the heck this is' I thought to myself before standing up.
I started walking in a random direction hoping to find civilization before hearing something behind me crunch. Turning around I see the one thing I really wasn't hoping to see before I at least got a weapon, a freaking Grimm. It's only a Beowolf, but it's still something I really don't want to deal with having only my bare fists.
Looking at it closely I ended up creating the bread and butter for Gamers, Observe
Name: Beowolf

'Crap, fighting this thing isn't going to be easy considering I have no idea how to use magic or aura. ' I thought while slowly backing up. Suddenly the world around froze before a prompt came up in front of me
[Choose Your Class]
[Fighter] (1/50)
You are a warrior who chooses to fight up close and personal with the enemy
+5 STR/END per level
[Wizard] (1/50)
You are a scholar who has learned how to use magic to destroy the enemy
+5 INT/WIS per level
[Rouge] (1/50)
You are a person who likes to fight using tricks to defeat your enemies
+5 DEX/LCK per level
Alright… I'm going to assume this window popped up as a response to me saying I don't know how to use magic but I could be wrong. Either way, I still need to make a choice.
Fighter just isn't my cup of tea, why get up close and personal when you can just blast someone away before they even get close.
Wizard seems to be the best choice considering how many perks I have, also I really just like Ice and Fire Magic.
Rouge at first glance seems to be the worst choice, however, casting debuffs and using your surroundings is a smart way to fight.
Thinking for a second I realize that whether it gives me the knowledge or not Wizard is definitely the best way to go. Tapping on it I brace myself for combat as the world resumes moving.
The Beowolf lunges at me before I can react batting me into a tree. Recovering quickly I throw myself out of the way as it lunges again. Thinking quickly I try and form an arrow made from mana before it can recover from hitting the tree. Just as it gets backs up I succeed and launch it at the
Grimm scoring a critical hit in the lungs. I sigh in relief as a bunch of messages pop up alerting me to the fact the battle is over.

Looking through the windows I freeze as soon as I see the fact that it said Beowolf pack. Looking around me quickly I see 3 Beowolfs surrounding me from all sides. Trying not to panic I try and form a mana arrow to at least kill one of them.
The Beowolf pack lunges at me as I launch the mana arrow towards the one in front of me praying the other two won't kill me. Suddenly I hear gunshots before turning around and seeing the two Beowolves dead on the ground behind me. Looking around I see someone in a white cloak with a large scythe walking towards me. Observing them, I find myself shocked.

How is she alive? Actually better question where am I in the timeline? I thought I would come around sometime before Beacon, but I definitely could've been wrong. Still holy crap her stats are overpowered. How the heck did she die with these?
"Hey kid, are you alright? You look like someone killed your cat." Summer asks while I stare at her in disbelief.
"Uh yeah. I'm good" I reply while internally berating myself on my manner. 'Smooth Shawn, smooth.'
"Alright… what are you doing out here this late at night? It's really not safe," stated Summer.
"I was training so I could try and get into Beacon," I say without really thinking.
"Well, considering I'm an instructor at Beacon I could get you in," she states while I suddenly realize that may not have been the best excuse.
"Well uh… that's great! But how exactly am I going to get in, I don't exactly have any sort of transcripts." I say while thinking of what the heck I can do to avoid getting into contact with Ozpin. If Summer is this strong I really don't want to come into contact with his 'For the Greater Good' crap.
"That's simple. I just need to bring you to the Headmaster so he can assess whether you can get in or not" she says while smiling brightly.
'Shit.. well there goes any sort of plan of avoiding Ozpin. I can't run from Summer and escaping isn't exactly going to be possible. Here's hoping he can't sense my magic" I think before smiling and telling Summer I'd love to go.
Summer tells me to follow her as she leads me to the way out of the woods. Deciding there's about jack I can do to get out of meeting with Ozpin I grab the weapon I got from the Tutorial reward. It's a black wooden staff about three feet in length with crimson engravings on it. Observing it I find myself surprised as I realized it was more than it looked.
Zangetsu (Epic)
A mecha-shift scythe forged from the remains of a great warrior's sword.
Deals STRx10 damage per slash
Deals DEXx5 damage per shot
Able to hit creatures, not of the material plane.
Looking around the weapon I find the trigger to release the scythe blade nearly cutting my finger off. Deciding to put it away for now before I hurt myself more I store it before finding an egg in my inventory. Pulling it out I observe it.
Familiar Egg (Legendary)
An egg of a legendary beast, what could it be?
Hatches into a Legendary Familiar
Time until hatch: 2 Months
Realizing this is what I got from [Legendary Familiar], I put it away before I accidentally hurt it. I'm not sure if familiar eggs can get damaged, but I don't want to find out. Looking around some more I check and see if there's anything that I can't use. After messing around with everything I could I found out that I couldn't change races until I complete this world and return to the void.
Before I could slump into depression I get surprised by seeing a city in front of me. Asking Summer where I was, she looked at me like I was crazy before telling me I was on Patch. Thanking her I continued walking in silence until we found our way to the nearest bullhead.
Getting on I marveled at the ship. Seeing it on a screen is one thing. Seeing it in person was another. Summer told me to sit down in one of the seats and strap in while she went up to the front. Deciding that heeding her words was smart, I sat down in the nearest seat while preparing for takeoff.
Bracing myself, I gripped the seat belt hard before realizing we were already off the ground. Marveling at the smooth takeoff. I relaxed in my seat while wondering if I was just going to have to sit here until we got to Beacon. Two hours or not staring at the ocean isn't very entertaining.
As I sat there I started wondering about my friends back on Earth. I may not have had many but I did still have a few. Were they okay? Were they sad about my death? I just wish they wouldn't care but I knew that wasn't the case. Especially Skylar. I knew she had a crush on me and I was going to tell her I felt the same later that week.
Figuring that dwelling on memories of the past was a bad idea. I closed my eyes and tried to go to sleep. As I was drifting off I thought about Skylar and wished she was here.

Thank you for reading this chapter of Another Gamer in the Multiverse. This is the first combat scene I've ever written published or not so I hope it's not too bad. Also as you can tell I'm not exactly great with dialogue. I'm working on becoming better so I hope you can at least bear with my story until it becomes better.
Holy Crap I wasn't expecting many people to read this story. I was hoping for like 10 maybe 20 people but we somehow got 170 views? And 50 favorites and follows?!
Thank you guys so much!
Anyway, I ended up writing this today in like two hours so forgive me if it's a bit shorter than the other chapter as well as if the grammar gets mixed up.
Author's Response to Reviews:
Crywolfseven: Thank you for the comment, I'm not going to let the Sharingan copy semblances, no need to worry about that.
Adam110902: Thank you for the honest criticism, as you can see my character isn't going to be completely overpowered, while his stats will be well above his level, leveling is only going to come from quests. I'm trying to make it enjoyable to all, so thank you for being straight with me.
Guest 1: I definitely appreciate the honest response. And yeah I definitely went overboard on Perks. I was reading several Fate fanfics earlier that day which lead me to create the 9 Lives skill based on Hercules. And yeah... I really shouldn't have done that. Either way, I'll try my best to correct that from here on.
Guest 2: Thank you for the compliment, I'm going to try and make it long and I'll probably screw up a lot, to be honest.
Kingh: Thank you for the compliment
Bimboom: Thank you for the compliment and yeah, I'll try and put more.
Hagone Uchiha: Thank you for the compliment
UNHOLY LIGHT: Thank you for the Item idea, but I probably won't use it until DxD if ever. It's simply too powerful like the nine lives skill. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know about and hope you have a great day despite this.
Genocide54: I appreciate the criticism and will endeavor to not let him become too overpowered. I'm trying to handle some of the things such as OP races being waited until the next world at the very least and making the other characters powerful.
