I don't own anything!
The next morning at Kagome's manor, she was doing her chores with a little extra effort. As she was pulling up some veggies Kagura came up to her.
"I have it on good authority… that before your rather embarrassing debut. the Prince was about to choose Kikyo of course. Men are fickle, aren't they? One minute they are sprouting sonnets… the next your back to being a hired help… but I must say I love your new work ethic"
Kagome stops what she is doing and in a huff, she turns to Kagura "What makes you think I do any of this for you?"
"Well, my, my, my aren't we feisty this morning" said Kagura in a smug voice, as Kagome got up with her basket with veggies and on to the next chore, Kagura blocked her path.
"Let me pass" she said
"You've brought this on yourself"
"I have work to do"
"Let the others do it"
Kagome just went around Kagura to go back to her chores, but she still had something to say to Kagura "Don't you understand? You have won! Go move into your palace… and leave us be!" she yelled as she walked away
Kagura followed her to tell Kagome what she thought was great news… for her at least "You are not my problem anymore"
Kagome turned around to look at Kagura "Is that what I am? Your problem!?" she slightly walks toward Kagura "After everything I have done for you, after all that you have asked of me, you still denied me the one thing I ever wanted" she said crying
"And what is that" Kagura
"What do you think? You are the only mother I have ever known" Kagome takes a breath so she could calm down and continued "Was there a time, even in its smallest… that you loved me at all"
"How can anyone love a pebble in their shoe?"
Kagome looked at Kagura and nodded her head. She turns to go back to her chores. She then wipes her tears away. As they both are walking, they hear "Kagome… My lady come and see! It's back all of it!" said Kanna as she ran up to them to tell them the great news.
Kagome unsure what is going runs up to the main entrance of the manner, while Kagura knowing what is going on and being the lady that she is just walked.
As they reached the top, they saw Naraku and his men with horses and carriages that had objects in them.
"Ah, Mr Naraku right on time" said Kagura
"It's all here, Baroness… right down to the very last candlestick" Naraku said in a very evil voice
Kagome was outraged "Fathers books? His paintings? You sold them to him?" Kagura would not stop looking at Naraku and in a very smug voice replied "Yes… and now they are back… I couldn't have us look like poor people when the King and Queen arrive now could I?"
Kagome takes a deep breath and looks towards Naraku "Thank you Mr Naraku, this means the world to us"
Naraku smiled at Kagura "I'm a businessman Kagome…. not a philanthropist"
"I do not understand," said Kagome, Kagura gave Kagome a small smile "Well, I couldn't have you around when the Prince arrives, now could I?"
"The Baroness and I have come to an…...arrangement"
"Yes, you for all this, although I do believe I am getting the better end of the deal" aid Kagura
Kagome realising what is going starts to yell and scream. She even tries to run but before she could get far she was captured her. The other servants seeing this also try to get her but are stopped by more of Naraku' s men.
A Week or two later Kouga's wedding was going ahead. He was holding a woman's hand as they walked down the aisle together. Everyone in town of high status was invited to watch this 'happy' occasion, but there were two people who were wearing black veils and crying at the wedding and they were Kikyo and Kagura.
There were also two more people crying at this wedding. One was the bride. She was crying the loudest. It could be heard throughout the whole church. The other was an unknown man also in black…The priest unsure of what to do just continued with the ceremony.
While crying uncontrollably, and kneeling at the priest, Kouga looks over to the woman and shakes his head. He then can't help himself and starts to laugh. Kouga picks up the women so that they are both on their feet.
The women start to talk to Kouga while crying "No, per favor, no, per favor" she then points to the man in black. "No te cases conmigo" as she finished Kouga looks towards the man and gets a big smile on his face "Madame, madame I know exactly how you feel" he kisses her on her cheeks and then gestures to the man. The woman was so happy that she ran to the man and they started to kiss. Kouga takes off the cape that he was wearing and leaves the church. Both Kikyo and Kagura were so happy at this. Kouga's parents were also happy for their son.
Kouga was running outside to go to find Kagome when he spotted Totosai and stopped to ask him about Kagome.
"Where is she?"
Totosai not understanding replies "The baroness?"
"No… Kagome"
"I'm sorry to say.. but she has been sold sire"
"Sold… to whom?"
Just then Sango comes over, as she had overheard what had been said "Mr Naraku... your Highness, the next day after the ball"
Kouga thinks for a moment about his next move, "Tell none we have spoken, for all shall reveal itself soon" he said. Once he has a great plan to get the one, he loves, he looks over and Ginta had followed him out "Come, Ginta there is much to be done and little time to do it" they both head off to set Kouga's plan in motion.
With Kagome - the past weeks had been hard on Kagome. She had tried to escape Naraku manor and each time she had failed.. Naraku would try to make moves on Kagome but luckily nothing had happened yet… but now Kagome had chains on her feet to stop her from running.
Kagome knocks on the door to a room in which Naraku was in. Naraku tells her to come in and when he sees her enter and come in the room and place something on the table, he gets up and goes behind her " Oh, I do so hate to see you in irons… I would remove them… if only you'd promise not to run away again." He said while sniffing her hair. Kagome moves away from him " I have no reason to stay"
Naraku grabs an apple and starts to eat it "You belong to me now"
"I belong to no one" she replied
Naraku grabs her hand and makes her look at him "Oh. I do wish you would reconsider my offer" Kagome snatches her hand back "I would rather rot" Naraku lets out a growl "I had a horse like you once. Stubborn, beautiful creature just like you." He gets up and caresses her face. " It just needed to be broken.. a mans touch" he then licks her check, Kagome sees out of the corner of her eye a sword, so she pushes Naraku back and grabs the sword "You will keep your distance."
The sword was poking Naraku in the chest. He looks at the sword and then to Kagome " I could hang you for this"
"Not if you are dead"
"I do love you spirit, Kagome" he said
Kagome flicks the sword up and gives Naraku a slight cut on his check "Aaah!" yelps Naraku. "My father was an expert swordsman, he taught me very well. Now hand me the key, or I swear on his grave I will slit you…" She points her sword down. " ..from navel…" She points her sword up "to nose"
Naraku gets the key out of his pocket and puts it on the table "Your freedom" Kagome grabbed the key and left the room and set herself free…
