Later that night they were both ready to just let the drug lord have him.

"Riley, I swear if he tries to call one more call girl, I will throw him off the balcony." She just shook her head as he sat on the end of their bed.

"Don't tempt me. I might just help you." He slid up next to her propped on his elbows hoping she would distract him.

"yes, Gabriel how can I help you to not kill a man I want to kill myself?"

"How did you get away from him." Ah now he wanted to know the truth figures.

"his wife found out and actually almost kill my mom. So, we left then she got with that boyfriend and you already know have that ended." He nodded in understanding.

"So, you never had a guy treat you right?" sighing she put the file she was reading down and turned to face him.

"Gabriel, I have a long history of men in my life who were pigs. You're the only one that hasn't been. All of my past partners just used me to make them look better and as far as the ex-boyfriends go there no better." He had a dark look in his eye but dropped the subject.

"how's your back?" she surged then winced. Rolling his eyes, a little he got the first aid kit.

"alright let me see it."

"riley I already saw your mark what else could you hide." She glared at him then it hit her

"you already read my medical file, didn't you?" oh she really hated that chip sometimes.

"fine" as gently as she could she took off her long-sleeved top only wincing a few times. His hands were callused but just soft and gentle as he cleaned and even removed her stiches.

"it's healed more and should stay closed. I knew you heled fast but that's impressive." Now it was her time to smirk at him

"I guess you didn't read my whole medical file after all." The look on her face made her laugh as she put her shirt back on.

"your mutation makes it to where you can have the chip mine makes me heal twice as fast." She could tell he was rendering and just waited.

"huh wait you also have the same mutation I do. Cassidy found it when you started." She was shocked in mid movement as she was putting on her shoes.

"what?" he nodded rendering deeper.

"Give me a minute" they heard glass shader then yelling.

"never mind" running into the next room the senator was held at gun point by a woman in very revenging clothing.

"help me!"

Riley was smiling on the inside but on the outside, she was very much the skilled agent that she was.

"let him go. Now!" Gabriel was beside her with his side arm raised and pointed at the woman's head. She knew that across the street Jameson was babysitting a rifle that Gabriel could control with the chip. And that was most likely trained on the woman's head.

"you don't want to do this. Just let the senator go and we can help you." Gabriel always hated to kill a woman but if he had to, he would.

"no do you know what this man has done? All the women he has hurt even children!"

"I know but this isn't the way. If you kill him it will be with you for the rest of your life. I have been where you are, and I know that no matter what the blood doesn't come off." She hated talking about it, but she still had the nightmares of nothing but blood even Gabriel had them.

"no, he hurt the wrong kid. My boss told me to kill him. And how can I not it was his own child, my child!" they both were worried but knew hoe this had to end.

"He hurt me to and I'm his own child as well." The senator took a closer look at Riley and gasped

"Princess?"

"no. you don't talk to her or I'll shoot you myself." He stopped at Gabriel's tone knowing he was serious and nodded.

"how can you protect this man after that?"

"because it's my job to protect. Even if I was never protected as a child. I will protect those in my care with my life." Gabriel swelled with prided at her voice. She was truly perfect. The woman slightly lowers the gun to where it wouldn't be lethal if he was hit so he took the shot with the rifle. Once the woman was hit riley rushed to her.

"the shoulder, you hit her in the shoulder?"

"figured we could get some information out of her and hey look she even hit him in the shoulder too." They laughed securing the room and waited of the medical team to get there. Hopefully ending their time with the senator for good.

"So, you apprehended the mistress of a drug lord and also some how got the man you were protecting 30 to life in a federal prison." They sat I Lilian's office just waiting for the yelling to start.

"Nicely done now go home and get some rest."

"no problem." Gabriel just about ran out of the office as the women shared a smile.

"so, beer and pizza?" riley nodded but still lost in thought.

"just, I'm going to run by the lab and talk to Cassidy."

"ill come with you."

"no, I got this ill be quick. After all he's more scared of more than you." Riley smirked turning away but she still heard him

"hell I'm scared of you sometimes."

"Good!" hearing his laughed made her truly smile. Within minutes she was staring behind both brains of cyber command.

"so, I have the mutation as well?" both men jumped a good few feet in the air.

"Jesus your as bad as Gabriel, and yes you do. The new chip that Mei Chen took was for you. If you wanted it of course we wouldn't force it on you." Nodding in understanding but at the same time not.

"so why me?" the older Cassidy smiled

"simple your good. Your need to protect those who can't is what make you stand out." They were all silent for the longest when nelson spoke

"we are actually making another one but not as capable as Gabriel's we were designing it to be strictly for you. Modified to your talents and skills."

"really?" both men nodded

"it was to be your Christmas present. You don't have to use it but if you ever wanted to you could."

"we even designed it to where it could be removed. It has a base and the chip could be taken out if needed."

"which was why its still only in the design stage we can't really find a safe way to make it removable."

"then don't." they were shocked.

"if I do it then I would want it to be apart of me just like Gabriel's is apart of him. I'm not saying I want to but if I did it would be permanent." They all smiled even Gabriel who had hacked into the camera feeds.

"so, are you going to tell Gabriel?" she smirked and waved at the cameras.

"I'm pretty sure he already knows." Smiling she left the egg heads together to do god knows what. When she reached the garage, he was waiting.

"so now beer and pizza or chines."

"stick with the pizzas that I know you already order and even already ordered chines too."

"with any luck well beat them there." She gave him the keys as he smirked

"you'll just hack the feeds and give us all green light and them all reds until we get there." He surged and started the car doing exactly what she said he would do.

"You know were going to have to have that talk soon." Sighing she turned to him

"might as well start tonight." He nodded

"yes but let's wait till we get home." Inside she was smiling but still worried after all she did keep it form him. Now she was going to find out how he really felt.
