A/N Has it been like 20 years or what?! It's been almost 3 weeks. AAAAAAAAAAAAAA. That's too long, I'm sorry. I was going to post this tomorrow but I finished it now so why not post it now with almost no editing? Right? This is another filler chapter...*cries*. The next chapter is going to be long, I think that's why this is so short. Oh and I finally fixed the summary! I'm so proud of it, but if you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears. Oh and guess what! This story is almost 100 pages long now! Isn't that insane! I think this is the longest thing I've ever written...:O. Was there anything else...Don't think so. WAIT. We passed 12,000 hits! AHAHHAHAHHAHAH. This is so crazy. I'm sorry I I just had a big cup of coffee and my brain is like fsdbjodsfouoed. Okay. Happy reading! And please review! ;)

Chapter 19

Hermione

Driving had to be one of the most terrifying things she had ever done. Honestly why couldn't Muggles just walk everywhere? Or ride horses for that matter, those had been the good days.

"Hermione, why don't you tap the gas?" her father suggested from the passenger side. She swallowed before saying, "I did, my foot is on it right now."

"Oh...a little harder won't hurt I'm sure." Oh I'm pretty sure it will. She was positively terrified that the harder she tapped the gas, the more likely they would go zooming into oblivion.

"Dad it's almost time for therapy." At least it was good for getting her out of driving. Why did she even need to learn how to drive? She was a witch for goodness sakes.

"Okay, well drive away."

"Dad!" she screamed.

"It was a joke, calm down. Maybe next time."

"No." Absolutely not. There was no way she was driving this car anywhere other than an empty parking lot. Hermione switched sides with her dad and immediately felt much safer in the passenger side. A few minutes later they had arrived and she hopped out of the car and waved goodbye. She whipped her head around, looking for Harry and Draco.

"Hello." She jumped and spun around to find a girl (Lyra, was it?) standing behind her.

"Hi." She said weakly, trying to calm her now racing heart.

"Is your friend here?" she asked.

"Which one?" she asked cautiously.

"Harry." Lyra said, kicking her foot into the ground.

"Um…" she looked around again. "No."

"Do you know if he's coming back?" Hermione eyed her suspiciously.

"Probably, why do you ask?"

"Just wondering." Lyra said quickly, turning away to greet someone. Huh. That was odd. Shaking herself she impatiently waited for the boys to arrive. She was no good at this socializing thing. Finally, just moments before they were called in, they arrived. Thank goodness she was not going to be here alone.

"It's about time." she hissed into Harry's ear dragging him and Draco away from Snape.

"Someone wouldn't get off the phone with his girlfriend." Draco said, rolling his eyes.

"Ginny? You and Ginny?" Hermione grinned. "Finally." Harry turned red and said nothing.

"Come on guys! Time to start." called Emma.

"Ugh." Draco moaned.

"It's not that bad." Hermione said, leading the way into the building and the circle of chairs.

"Yes it is." Harry said.

"The only reason we're here is because of 'traumatic incidents.'" She eyed Harry and Draco, hoping they would give away the reason they were actually here.

"Uh huh." Harry said. Draco had his lips pressed tightly together but said nothing. Damn. They weren't gonna crack.

"Well let's go." she sighed. For a moment she thought about telling Harry that Lyra was looking for him but she decided to just keep it to herself. Why she really didn't know. A gut feeling perhaps. Not like it made a difference. Lyra found Harry and sat next to him. Huffing she did her best to pay attention to whatever it was Emma was saying. This meeting went much like the first. She did most of the talking, while Harry and Draco said next to nothing. Bloody brilliant. Next time she would keep her mouth shut, maybe that would force them to talk and she would find out the real reason they were here. After the meeting she waited for Lyra to finally leave Harry alone so she could corner him and demand some answers, but no such luck. She and Draco were left to their own devices, and some vague part of her remembered that they had not been alone together since...the bathroom was it? She might not have any luck with Harry, but maybe she would squeeze something out of Draco.

"So…" How should she start? What's the real reason you're here? No. Anything you want to get off your chest? No. Draco was waiting for her to continue, she realized with a start.

"Er-how's Harry doing, and you too?" Well wasn't she just eloquent today. Draco eyed her for a moment before replying.

"Fine, I think but you should probably ask him that. And I'm alright." He cleared his throat a moment before adding, "You?"

"Me?" she said, startled. "Oh, brilliant." They stood there, looking at each other, not saying anything.

"I have something to give you." Draco blurted out, tripping over the words. He fumbled with the pockets of his black jeans and pulled out a shiny one pence.

"I found it and I thought it looked nice...like you." A blush crept up her neck to her face and her heart was pulsing. She didn't know what to say. The only person who had ever flattered her was Victor, and then she was an awkward stick. So she grabbed his head and pulled it down to hers, their lips crashing with a sweet softness. She inhaled the scent of him, soap and something else sweet she couldn't quite place. Her fingers drifted into his hair and she heard the faint clang of the pence fall to the ground completely forgotten by both of them.

Ginny

Later That Same Day

"You and Harry?" Hermione asked over the phone. Ginny tapped her fingers on the old table on the shed.

"You and Draco?" Silence. "What happened? You aren't…"

"We kissed again today. He gave me this Muggle coin, although I don't think he knew what it was, and said it was nice, like me. And I didn't know what to say so I kissed him." Hermione said so fast Ginny could hardly decipher the individual words.

"Smooth."

"Oh shut up-hold on a second, someone else is calling."

"Alright." She sighed and picked at her nails. She was just dying for some girl talk. Living in a house full of boys was interesting to be sure, but she needed someone to talk to about, well, boys. She was also dying to ask Hermione if there was any way she could possibly never go back to potions. First she yelled at Snape in her own detention, absolutely genius, and second she dragged his son into a bathroom while he was in it, absolutely humiliating. At least he had just been washing his hands. In conclusion, there was no way she could go back to potions. Ever. For any reason.

"Ginny." Hermione's voice came back, sounding high and panicked.

"What's wrong?" she asked immediately.

"It's Harry and Snape." Her heart dropped all the way to her stomach.

"What do you mean 'it's Harry and Snape'?" she demanded.

"I have to go get Draco. I'll talk to you later."

"No! No, don't hang up! What the hell happened Hermione!" She was practically screaming now, not that she noticed.

"There's no time to explain! I have to go!"

"Take me with you. I'll use the floo to your house." She said without thinking. "Please." she added desperately.

"Oh, fine, Ginny. But hurry!"

"Okay, okay. Don't you dare leave without me!"

"Go!" Right. Ginny hung up the phone and bolted out of the shed. A weird sort of calm settled over her as she ran to her room and shoved some clothes into an old bag. Mum was at the store, and Ron...she didn't know where he was. But it didn't matter as long as he didn't get in her way. Scribbling a note to her mum, she left it on the kitchen table and headed to the floo.

"Ginny?" Shit. Shit. Ron.

"I have to go." She yanked open the pouch of floo powder and stepped into the fireplace.

"What are you doing?" Ron was staring at her in alarm.

"No idea. Hermione Granger's house!" She threw down the powder and began to spin.

Harry

He had sat next to Lyra again during therapy, or whatever it was they were supposed to be doing. She asked him a lot of questions, where did he go to school, where did he live, what he liked to do...She was nice he supposed. Better than Snape, who kept trying to get him alone. Hah, not gonna happen if he had anything to say about it. He was outside with Bagel, trying to buy as much alone time as possible. Snape had forgotten to ask Draco to go with him, probably assuming that he didn't need to anymore, but Draco was perfectly content to stay inside. It was now October and the fall air brought a chill.

Sighing through his nose, Harry watched Bagel sniff at a bush.

"Harry." Lyra's voice sounded from behind him and he spun around, nearly falling over Bagel's leash.

"Uh, Lyra?" he said. "Hey."

"Hi." she said, then, "I like your dog."

"What? Bagel, oh yeah he's great." Lyra was gazing at the sky with a glazed expression.

"Lyra?"

"It's so odd." She looked back at him.

"What is?" This whole thing was starting to creep him out quite a bit.

"This feeling. It's like…I can't describe it." Lyra bit her lip. "I don't like not being in control you know." It took him a moment to register what she was saying. Shit. She was under the imperius curse.

"Beautiful job darling." Cooed an all too familiar voice. Bellatrix. That feeling of panic began to spiral through him. He didn't have his wand. No way to defend himself.

"She's perfect really, no one would ever suspect a sweet little thing like her." Bellatrix approached him.

"Now." She grabbed his chin with her long fingers. "Time to come with me. We're going to have some fun."

"I'm not going anywhere with you." At least not willingly. A crash sounded from above the three of them and Bagel howled.

"Who's here?!" he demanded.

"Just some friends." He shoved Bagel into Lyra's arms. She was still imperiused, but not like the way he had seen.

"Keep him safe please."

"She's imperiused idiot child." Bellatrix laughed, then grabbed him. He thought he heard someone scream his name before they disapparted.

Draco

He had found the coin beneath the bed, shined it, and decided to keep it. Until he saw Hermione and they were standing in awkward silence that he could no longer bear, so he gave it to her. But it all worked out because she kissed him. That was nice. He really should have gone with Harry to take Bagel out, he mused, instead of lying on his bed. However the only thing he wanted to do was think about that fabulous kiss. He closed his eyes and remembered the feel of her lips on his, the softness and sweetness...His eyes flew open and he clutched the arm with the mark. He gasped. It was burning, he was being summoned.

Shit, shit, shit.

"Draco get in the closet." Snape rasped from outside the room. Draco shakily moved from the bed to crouch in the closet, ear pressed against the door to hear what was going on. For a few moments the only thing he heard was his pained breathing, until a thunderous crash reached his ears. He held in a gasp, trying to quell his rising panic. Harry was outside, with no one to defend him, and Snape-

Snape could defend himself. Hopefully. Against whoever it was that was now inside their flat. Draco pressed against the door, there was nothing but silence from outside. Was it safe to come out? Snape hadn't told him to...but what if he was hurt? Draco opened the closet door and slipped out soundlessly, drawing his wand from his pocket. With a pained breath, he left his and Harry's room, to the rest of the flat. The place looked like it had been bombed. The kitchen table was incinerated, nothing but ashes, the couch had exploded into a mess of cotton-and no one was here. No one was here. He was all alone. Where was Snape-Where was Harry?! Draco burst out of the flat and wildly whipped his head around, searching for a familiar face. He saw three. Harry, Lyra, and...Bellatrix. Bagel was in Lyra's arms, and Bellatrix had her arms around Harry and her wand out, ready to disapparate.

"HARRY!" He screamed. But they disappeared. Draco flung himself down the stairs to where Lyra and Bagel were. She was shaking and Bagel was whining.

"What-what…" She stared down at Bagel, then Draco. "What happened?" She must have been imperiused. Bloody hell.

"Here." His voice cracked. "I'll take him. Do you know the way home?"

"What happened?" She demanded as she handed over Bagel.

"I can't-" Tell you. But Lyra apparently knew he was going to say that.

"Like hell you can't. I want to know what I'm doing here, and why Harry and that lady just disappeared into thin air!" Lyra crossed her arms and fixed him with a glare that could rival Snape's.

"I have to find them!" He insisted, trying to keep his voice from shaking.

"Well then I'll help you." she said matter of factly. He opened his mouth to tell her-uh no, but she was staring at him with an intensity that he knew meant she wasn't going anywhere until she had some answers. Draco wished he could obliviate her, but he didn't think he could do it without shattering her mind.

"Fine. Come on." he snapped. He led the way upstairs to the flat.

"I'm going to call someone." he told her, "Hold Bagel for me? I think he's scared." Bagel was indeed shaking and whining. Probably for Harry. Lyra took him and he went to the phone, which thankfully hadn't been destroyed during whatever had happened. With trembling hands he dialed Hermione's number.

Hermione

She never thought she would be the girl who stole her parent's car. But here she was, with Ginny, leaving her house in her dad's van. She had left a note saying how sorry she was, with ideas for punishments for when she got back.

"So what happened?" Ginny asked, as Hermione nervously went into reverse.

"Uh, wait a second." She needed to concentrate if she didn't want to end up going forwards instead of backwards. They safely made it out of the driveway and Hermione asked,

"What did you say?"

"What happened?"

Hermione swallowed. "Draco called, he said that Harry and Snape disappeared, he thought they'd been kidnapped." She decided to leave out the fact that Harry had most definitely been kidnapped, and by Bellatrix.

"And he asked me to come over, so we can come up with some sort of plan to find them."

Ginny didn't say anything for a few minutes and Hermione began to worry that she had gone into shock, but she said, "We should probably go faster than." They were only going 25 miles an hour, which was honestly the fastest Hermione had ever gone. But Ginny was right, emergencies called for some speed. Taking a long breath, she pressed harder on the gas. 30 miles an hour. 40. Then 50. Well at least now she knew the reason she had learned to drive.

A/N It's me again! Hi. I didn't forget about Snape don't worry. We'll find out what went down with him in the next chapter. I can't believe how long it's been...okay, phew. Please please please let me know what you think! Missed you guys!
