Part One: Stay With Me
Ring Ring goes the alarm to wake me up in the morning. I roll out of bed in my home. Today is my first day of high school. Go Timberwolves. I think while rolling my eyes. My job from Nik is to make sure that the doppelganger is here and to find out what she knows about vampires. Nothing can get in our way this time.
Word has it, Stefan Salvatore, from Chicago 1920's goes to Mystic Falls High School. This will be fun. He loved Katherine, so I assume that Elena knows about Vampires. I don't know if Katherine has told them about the curse, let's hope not for all our sakes.
I quickly put on a pair of dark blue ripped jeans and a mustard top, I've been told yellow compliments my light blue eyes. I rush down the stairs and make delicious smelling eggs and toast. I have things to do and I don't want them getting in the way. After I finish eating, I leave to go to school.
The school is quite big, I've never actually been to high school before. I have plenty of degrees from college though, in literature and history mostly, but also in some sciences and some maths. I quickly go to the office, I know no one here other than the people who don't know me. The story is that I was homeschooled and have never been to a high school. I am seventeen years old and a junior like all the important people. The lady in the office gives me my schedule and I'm off. I make it about fifteen steps and then I see her, Ms. Elena Gilbert, doppelganger.
I walk towards her and pretend to be looking at my schedule and "bump into her" like in the movies. "Oh I'm so sorry I didn't see you, Its my first day and I just got my schedule and can't find my way to my classes, and im very stressed, and i think i just said and like fifteen times, i'm so sorry" I say with a chuckle at the end to smooth things over. The best way to know your enemy is to study your enemy and I've been studying her for weeks.
"Oh no, it's totally my fault" She responds quickly.
Wow, unexpected. "Hi I'm Nora, I'm a junior...I think, I've never really done the whole high school thing."
"Elena Gilbert, nice to meet you,"
"Thanks, you too," I continue, "Um, do you know where room 207 is? I have Alaric Saltsman for history, is he good?" I say the last part in a whisper.
"Yeah, I'm actually headed there right now, and don't worry, he's a great teacher" She says with a little chuckle at the end. It's actually kind of funny how in a few months the poor girl is going to be dead. She doesn't even know what's coming.
"Great! Thank you so much Elena Gilbert" I say and follow her through the halls to the classroom of Mr. Saltzman.
We talk on the way there, well, she talks to me mostly. I don't want to tell her too much in case I spoil something. If anyone finds out about the plan, Nik will (Attempt) To Kill me. We all know I'm Stronger and faster than him so he doesn't even stand a chance. Let's hope for both of our sakes, It doesn't come to that.
Once we get to Mr. Saltzman's room, I realize that Stefan Salvatore is in this class. He starts to act like he's seen me before and doesn't know where, which is impossible because Nik compelled him to forget. I'm Just getting Paranoid. I introduce myself to the class and sit down through his boring lecture. Most of which I lived through. I don't want to point out the fact that he is wrong about so many things in history because I don't want to draw attention to myself just yet.
1 Out of boredom, my mind travels to another time when the air was cleaner and the world was simpler. I recall when I was staying in french court during the mid 1500's. I remember dancing in balls, all the women and men trying to find matches. My favorite night was on the king's birthday and everyone was invited to a celebration. There were tiny bronze filigree details all throughout the ballroom. Some in shapes of flowers and others in other unique details. There were candles all throughout the hallway and unique tiles on the floor. We would dance for hours on end in our fancy dresses. That was the night when I first noticed Sebastian. I of course had seen him before he just never stood out until that one day. That was the first night Sebastian asked me to dance with him. I remember exactly what dress I was wearing. It was a Navy Blue dress with Golden details all around it. It popped out at my hips and outlined my small figure nicely. Bash was very handsome in a suit fit for a crowned prince, although he wasn't. He was overlooked as the bastard son of the king. That's all people ever saw of him. The plain bastard son of a king, I didn't care and Continued dancing with him until my feet hurt. On one end of the ballroom there was a long table filled with all sorts of foods. I was overwhelmed. The far end of the table was overflowing with turnips, pears, grapes, apricots, peaches, apples, persimmons, and pomegranates. Then there were pots bubbling with delicious smelling soups of pork and bamboo. Closest to me were the sweetest most delicate, flakey pastries. We took all the food we could and left the ballroom. Although it wasn't customary, we ran all around the palace. Chasing each other and having the night of our lives. We ran past many people and pushed them aside. We were running down the hallway but at the end there was…
The bell rings and Elena comes up to me and asks me what class I have next period. She walks me to class and tells me that I can sit with them at lunch. I obviously say thanks and enter my classroom.
After class, Nik calls me. "Nora love, how is our little doppelganger friend." He says right as I pick up the phone.
I look around to see if anyone is looking at me or listening to the conversation before saying, "She's fine. Looks exactly like Tatia, unsurprisingly."
"What else, do you have to report Nora?"
"They so far, suspect nothing, it is safe to assume they know nothing of our plan" I continue, "From what I can tell, Stefan Salvatore is willing to do anything to protect Elena, maybe you can get him on our side"
"Interesting" Nik adds.
"Yeah, I suppose it is." The bell rings so I say "Got to go, it's lunch time and I'm gonna get to know Elena's friends."
"Bye Love, enjoy, see you soon" He says before hanging up. I start to walk to the lunch room when I see Bonnie Bennet, Elena's Best Friend, I decide to take this opportunity to introduce myself to her, and walk with her to the lunchroom. She, like everyone else, would do anything to protect her dear precious Elena. Once we get to the lunchroom, I see Stefan, Caroline, Elena, Tyler and Matt at a table. Not long into lunch I get invited to a party. On the full moon, Tyler is having a party on his property. I learned that I just missed a carnival last week, which was eventful. They all seem to be holding back something, which is obviously that Caroline turned into a vampire last week. More specifically, Katherine turned her into a vampire. That means that we are close to her, good, nik will be pleased to know that. On the downside, nik won't be so delighted that Elena and Damon are taking a trip.
The rest of my day is uneventful. I have a few classes, most with other members of the group, nothing too exciting. After school, I go home, do my "homework", then I go to find a "bite" to eat, come back home, and sleep.

Disclaimer:
I do not own any of these characters or plot lines except Nora. They belong to Julie Plec as a part of the vampire diaries and the originals series'. The Nora in this story has nothing to do with Nora Hildegard, I just like the name Nora.
