A/N: To avoid confusion: Ginny doesn't have any romantic feelings for Harry. The two of them see each other more as siblings than anything else for the purpose of this fanfiction. ;)

Hermione made her way back to the Gryffindor Common Room after a long studying session. Quickly giving the password to the Fat Lady, Hermione dragged her heavy bag upstairs to her dorm, not noticing a younger red-haired girl looking at her with a big smile. Hermione quickly put her bag on her bed before taking the various books out and putting them in her closet. Once she was done, she walked back down to the Common Room.

Hermione went to sit on an empty love-seat on the left of the fireplace which was also near where Harry and Ginny were sitting. It took her tired mind a few seconds to realise that something unusual was going on.

Ginny was stating in front of Harry (who was sitting on a couch), wearing a white muggle lab coat and a stethoscope and had a small paper notebook and a fountain pen in her hands.

Hermione looked at Ginny and Harry, confused. Why was Ginny dressed like a muggle Doctor?

"What are you..." started Hermione but she was interrupted by Ginny.

"Shush, Hermione." she said.

"What do you think is my problem, Doctor?" asked Harry to Ginny, worry evident in his voice.

"Sit upright, Mr. Potter." said Ginny, "And let me check." she said.

"I trust you, Doctor Weasley."

'What are they playing at?' thought Hermione.

Ginny took out her stethoscope before putting it the earpieces. "You will need to removed your shirt so that I can check your heartbeat, Mr. Potter." said Ginny with a reassuring yet serious tone.

Harry nodded weakly before he removed his shirt. At the sight of his uncovered chest, Hermione's lips went dry. Harry was a lot more muscled than she had ever known. Unconsciously, Hermione licked her lips. 'Seems like Quidditch was good for one thing.'

The unwavering Doctor Weasley then placed the chestpiece of the stethoscope where Harry's heart was located. Ginny listened for Harry's heartbeat for nearly thirty seconds before she frowned. Harry looked even more worried.

"Is there a problem?" he asked.

Ginny's frown increased. "I think I know what is your sickness." she said, putting the stethoscope back around her neck. "But, just to be sure, I want to check something else." Ginny took a few notes on her notebook before taking out a small, wooden stick. She said "Can you open your mouth?"

"Sure." said Harry with a small shrug before opening his mouth.

"Wider." said Ginny. Harry's mouth widened very slightly. Ginny put the wooden stick on his tongue and looked inside. "Say 'Ahhhhh'."

"Ahhhhh."

"Hmm. I see." she said. "Can you cough?" Harry let out a few small coughs before Ginny removed the stick and let him know that it was over, allowing him to close his mouth. "Alright, I'm pretty sure I found your sickness. I just want to check your eyes first."

"Really?" said Harry, obviously surprised. "Do you really think it's necessary, Doctor?"

"Of course." said Ginny, shrugging his question away while taking a few other notes. "Remove your glasses, please." she added, still looking at her notebook.

Harry sighed before removing his glasses. Hermione was stupefied how much his glasses hid the beauty of his bright green eyes. She almost gasped when Harry's emerald orbs looked at her for a few seconds. 'Who knew that two thin pieces of glass could hide so much beauty?'

Ginny brought her wand to Harry's face and muttered "Lumos." Harry almost immediately recoiled because of the light. "Minus." said Ginny with a roll of the eyes as the light of the spell dimmed. Ginny first checked Harry's left eye and nodded in satisfaction before repeating the same thing with the left eye. "Nox." she finally said after more than a minute. Harry had to blink a few times before he could see properly again.

"So, Doctor Weasley, did you find my sickness?" asked Harry quietly.

"I did, Mr. Potter. It was as I had already suspected." she said, making Hermione worry. What had Ginny found? What sickness did Harry have? Those questions and more crossed the mind of a concerned Hermione who had forgotten about the fact that Ginny was neither a Doctor nor a Healer.

"Is it bad?" asked Harry with a small amount of fear.

"Nothing that can't be healed." said Ginny, making Hermione let out a small breath of relief.

"What is it, then?"

"You have a problem to your heart." said Ginny in a serious yet sad tone. Hermione's eyes widened. Heart problems could be very grave!

"How can it be fixed?" asked Harry.

"There is a treatment. It is... unconventional, however. Thankfully, I do not think it would be a problem for you."

"Are there any side effects?"

"There are. They might be life changing."

Hermione had to use all of her will-power not to shout "WHAT?" loudly in the Common Room. Instead, she looked at Harry and Ginny with trepidation.

Meanwhile, Ginny had been writing something on a new small notepad she had taken from her lab coat. After a few minutes, she ripped the first page from the notepad before giving it to Harry. "This is your prescription. I wrote your condition and the necessary treatment to help heal your sickness."

Harry took the prescription before reading it. "Those are the side-effects?" he asked, shocked.

"Yes." answered Ginny, nodding grimly.

Harry sighed loudly. "If it help me heal, then I will." he said.

"Good. It is very important that you go through this treatment."

"Where can I go to receive such... unconventional treatment?"

"I think you will figure it out by yourself." said Ginny with a smile before she left. Harry leaned back on the couch with another sigh. Unable to remain where she was without doing anything, Hermione raised up and took a seat beside Harry.

"Harry?" she whispered with concern.

"Hmm?"

"Are you... are you alright?" she asked.

Harry nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"What did Ginny find?" she asked. She wanted to be there for her best friend and help him as best she could.

"There is a problem with my heart. Unfortunately, it isn't exactly rare..." he started. "Actually, I think it would be easier if I just let you read the prescription." said Harry, giving the piece of paper to her.

Hermione nodded sadly before she took the prescription and started reading it.

Hermione's jaw fell to the floor. Looking up, she saw that Harry was grinning at her. She could not believe that she had fallen for that! It hadn't even crossed her mind that Harry would obviously go see Madam Pomfrey if he needed to see a professional, not one of his best friends! The two of them had worried her to no ends just in an attempt to ask Hermione out for a date!

"So," started Harry. "I am sick and I need to be treated. Do you think you can provide it for me?"

Hermione looked at Harry with wide eyes before she threw himself at him and kissed him senseless. Hermione's mind quickly blanked as Harry kissed her back, his soft lips locking on hers. His tongue rubbed on her lower lip and Hermione granted entrance. It didn't take long for their tongues to start fighting for dominance. Harry won in the end as she was being tasted by her best friend. Eventually, the two withdrew slightly, their faces still really close to each other.

"Wow..." whispered Hermione.

"Yeah..." said Harry. "Hermione, do you have an opening for the role of boyfriend?"

"What do you think?" grinned Hermione.

"Then, Hermione Granger, will you give me the honour of making me your boyfriend?"

As a way to answer him, Hermione started snogging him again. Unseen by the new couple, Ginny was sitting at the other side of the Common Room, observing Harry and Hermione and grinning proudly.
