Author Notes: How ironic that in the chapter I killed off Azumi was when I got slightly more reviews than I have been getting in previous chapters and not any of the ones that she managed to escape from death. I suppose it isn't too hard to believe, but I wish there could have been a few reviews for those earlier chapters, such as going into Azumi's relationship with her brother, and how she continued to make him her first priority. Another reason why it was a massive shame that this story didn't get more attention.
It was always my intention to have Azumi killed off in this story. It was planned from the very first chapter that Azumi would not make it to the end. During the events of the game, which takes place following this story, the Protagonist didn't appear to have any family. Additionally, the family of the anime equivalent was killed off by the Aragami. In this case, Yu's older sister was biologically his sister, and she died as a God Eater and not as a normal person.
This story was more or less meant to act as an origin story for Yu with Azumi being the main character and Yu being the deuteragonist. Azumi is the one who managed to get Yu to Fenrir. She took on the mantle of the God Eater prior to him. While I merely narrated her accomplishments, you got the idea that she managed to accomplish a few things. Additionally, Yu would merely hear a few things about what Azumi has gone through rather than being able to witness them himself. Yu knows he has a lot to live up to when he becomes a God Eater.
If a sequel ever is made, all the things I narrated in regards to Azumi's adventures as a God Eater would be seen with the story being split between Azumi's time as a God Eater leading up to her death and with Yu being a God Eater in the present day.

Past is Prologue
Chapter Fifteen: A Most Unfortunate Day
/
Peace is but a wish
It takes much more to be real
Can you pay the price?
/
It was a calm day in Fenrir. Calm days that neither of the Kannagi siblings knew could ever exist, but they could see for themselves that they did. They could look up into the sky without needing to be fearful of the ground underneath them. Unfortunately, as peaceful as this day was, it was bittersweet. This day would mark the ultimate separation of the Kannagi siblings for Azumi now belonged to the world of the God Eaters as shown by the bracelet permanently attached to her wrist.
While Azumi would begin her training as a God Eater in earnest, she would do her best to remain a part of his life. She promised to visit Yu as often as she could, but not before she requested he make a promise to her. He promised he would wait one extra year to become a God Eater. After she told him why, he accepted.
Azumi sincerely told Yu, "I have to say that you never cease to amaze me, Yu."
Yu tilted his head, "How so?"
Azumi jokingly raised her fists, "I was expecting you to be all up in arms in trying to tell me to let you join the God Eaters as soon as you turned fifteen."
"I would like to, but I listened to what you said." Yu looked Azumi in the eyes as he told her, "You asked me to do something for you, and I'll do it."
"That's a good little brother." Azumi jokingly started to mess around with Yu's hair again.
"Come on! Stop it!" Yu begged.
"Sorry!" Azumi amusingly replied, "It's just too much fun."

Life is not fair. It can be taken away years before it should have. It can happen in an instant. It can happen without a loved one being anywhere nearby for comfort or to say goodbye. The said loved ones could be helpless to do anything despite how desperate he would've been to give everything he had to do so. Such was the case with the Kannagi siblings.
During Azumi's final visit with Yu, she received an emergency summons to take part in an urgent mission. In exchange for taking on an extra mission, she would receive extra leave time and compensation. It all seemed too good to be true, and it was.
A few days later, a cold chill crawled through Yu's spine even though it was a warm day. It was in that moment Yu felt compelled to look into the sky. He couldn't explain any of it. He just felt it. His feelings became justified one day later when Lindow came to personally inform him regarding his sister's fate.
If anyone asked Yu what happened afterward, he could not give an answer. To him, it was a blank. All he could do was cry. Before he knew it, Yu was waking up in his bed.
/
Kannagi Yu slowly opened his eyes to look at the ceiling he had been staring up to these past two years. For a brief moment, Yu hoped everything was just a dream. He would look to his side, and he'd see his sister sleeping in the next bed or she was sitting in the chair.
When Yu turned his head, he did not see his sister. It was Lindow. He had been sitting in his sister's seat. That was enough proof it wasn't a dream. This was reality. Azumi was gone. Yu felt all the energy leave his body as his head fell back onto his bed and sunk in.
Yu remained silently staring at the ceiling until he heard Lindow ask, "You feeling any better?"
Without looking at him, Yu answered, "No."
"Of course not." Lindow then said, "I'm sorry … I'm not really sure what else to say, but your sister … She was a great God Eater. One that we would all be proud of. We're all going to miss her."
"Did you write out that speech and memorize it?" Yu sarcastically asked as he sat up. Before Lindow could answer, Yu remarked, "My father kept saying crap like that whenever a scavenger got himself killed, so how about we cut that out?"
Lindow conceded, "Should've know better. What do you want to know?"
"What happened?" Yu steadied his head as he asked, "Why … Why did Azumi have to die …?" Yu was sitting at the edge of his bed as his voice began to rise and his speech quickened, "How did this happen?" Yu stood up from the bed as he began to slowly step toward Lindow, "She always came back! She always wins!" Yu grabbed Lindow's collar as he demanded, "How could she lose? How? Tell me how?"
Even though his collar was being pulled, Lindow remained perfectly still. He did not attempt to resist. Instead, he calmly told him, "You're just like your sister. Right to the heart of it."
Yu pulled Lindow's collar and repeated, "Tell me how?"
Lindow looked Yu in the eyes as he told him, "I take full responsible. What happened to her was entirely my fault."
"Wha … How …" Yu let go of Lindow's collar as he took a step back, "How could you?" The tone in Yu's voice was difficult to pinpoint. It sounded like a mixture of fear and disbelief as he told the Captain, "My sister looked up to you … and you got her killed?" He raised his voice, "How could you get her killed? She was all I had! She was all I had!"
After taking a breath, Lindow leaned his elbows against his knees before telling him, "It was … I would give you the usual spiel that your sister understood the risks, but I won't. You know better than that. The sum of it is that this tragedy is ultimately my responsibility. I was the leader of the operation, and I spread us out too thin."
"Too thin?" Yu asked in disbelief. Merely hearing that answer caused Yu to feel overwhelmed as he became lightheaded. He took a step back and ended up sitting on the bed's edge as he then asked, "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"Probably what you're thinking. We tried covering too much ground with too few God Eaters." Lindow began his explanation, "It didn't start off like that. It started off like any other mission. We were sent to exterminate a large number of Aragami that converged in the area, but there was a problem we didn't foresee. There was a rather large number of civilians in the area."
Yu raised an eyebrow, "A caravan?"
Lindow nodded, "Yes. It was similar to yours, but unlike yours, they weren't trying to find shelter in Fenrir. They were simply trying to find a place of their own out there."
"Wha …" Yu felt his mouth become ajar ask he reflexively asked, "What?"
"And Azu- …" Lindow cleared his throat and then continued, "Your sister wished to help them find their place, but the area was a hotspot for Aragami. Or more accurately it became one." Lindow explained, "After we wiped out the initial Aragami we were sent to take out, more came in our direction. Your sister had a handle on the Aragami in the immediate area. I didn't think much of it at the time, and I ordered other God Eaters to cover more of the other territories. Unfortunately, there was a surge of Aragami in your sister's area. That was when she radioed that she found more civilians. She called for backup to deal with the problem. I did my best to respond …" Lindow then said, "But I couldn't … Eric attempted to help her, but he couldn't …" Lindow trailed off.
"What the hell happened?" Yu asked again.
"It happened quickly." Lindow remarked, "For some reason, communication was completely out when we got readings that we were about to have another Aragami attack. We had secured the convoy, but Azumi had told us she had found some other survivors. She was getting ready to fight the Aragami that were heading their way. Before I could leave to help her, everything went silent. We had no idea what was happening."
"…" Yu remained silent as he let Lindow finish his story.
"Eric was heading in her direction, and I knew there were some civilians that needed protection where I was." Lindow explained, "I decided to stay a little longer to make sure the civilians were going to be properly transported. After the last of them got on, the radio was back. HQ logs indicated that your sister had been trying to contact them three times, but they couldn't reply. When they tried contacting her, they were receiving no response from her nor Eric. Their scans were getting faint reading from her, and there didn't appear to be any Aragami left. When we got there, Eric was alive, but he didn't find her. All we could find was her God Eater, a few scarps of her bracelet and a lot of blood. We examined it, and it was a mixture of her own and the Aragami."
"Are you saying you didn't find her body?" There was a little bit of hope in Yu's voice as he asked that question.
Lindow firmly answered, "No, but with that blood loss and the fact she dropped her weapon, it is highly unlikely she had any hope of surviving even if she wasn't eaten."
"The Aragami … You're saying …?" Yu could not bring himself to finish either question.
Lindow only needed to reply with, "Yes …"
"…" Yu's eyes were wide as any words he wished to say were trapped in his throat.
"There was almost nothing left of her other than what was left of her weapon and a lot of blood. There was nothing else I could recover." Lindow looked down and repeated, "I'm sorry …"
/
After everything was said, Yu's breaths could be heard throughout the room. While Yu's breathing intensified, thoughts started playing in his mind. Random thoughts all of which included a memory of his sister. None of them played in particular order. However, some memories he was certain he'd forget had suddenly become fresh.
Yu could remember a time when Azumi did not have the trademark scar on her cheek. She was by his bedside helping him get to sleep. The smile she had was difficult to describe, but it made him feel safe. Like no one would hurt him. They never did.
Suddenly his mind rushed forward to when Azumi protected him multiple times from bandits. She was always there to save him even at the cost of her own safety. At the cost of her own face. While he did his best to help her, he was not going to deny his abilities to protect Azumi were inadequate by comparison. Azumi had the injuries to prove that.
Yu then thought about all the times his big sister would ruffle his hair. He would tell her to stop, but she always had too much fun to comply. After she'd stop, they'd laugh then move on. What he wouldn't give to feel that hand ruffling through his hair again.
All those memories. They were shared between him and Azumi. Now he was the only one left. The person he had shared all those memories with was gone. He had to keep them alive.
If what Lindow said was true, the end Azumi suffered was a nightmare. The very thought of the agony she must have endured sickened him. He could feel his stomach moving as his hand instinctively held his body, and he leaned forward. He felt as if he would vomit at any second. The only thing he could do was remain perfectly still and hope the feeling would pass.
/
All the while Yu was attempting to process this unfortunate turn of events, Lindow remained sitting in that chair. He remained perfectly still. He never said a word nor attempted to interrupt the process. It had to play out. He simply put his elbows on his knees and crossed his hands. He leaned his chin on his hands to be comfortable.
Lindow waited a few minutes until he believed it an appropriate moment to speak up. He saw that Yu's breathing become steady, and it didn't look like he was about to vomit. That was when Lindow said, "I understand this is too much to take in."
"…" Yu couldn't bring himself to reply or even look in Lindow's direction. His eyes remained focused on the bed he was laying on.
Lindow took a breath, "I understand if you can't forgive me. I always took pride in reducing the number of casualties, but my lack of foresight was to blame for this tragedy. I should have left her with at least one partner. I should've had someone beside Eric go help her." There was sorrow in Lindow's voice as he said, "Even a great God Eater like your sister had her limits, and I accidently pushed them too far."
"…" Once again, Yu said nothing.
As Lindow leaned forward, his hands were interlocked. It looked like he was praying as he told Yu, "I also understand if these words do very little to comfort you. I made a costly mistake. If I could go back, I would do things differently. If I could trade places, I would, but I can't. I can't go back to correct my mistake. All I can do is learn from them, so I don't repeat them."
Lindow was correct. That did little to comfort Yu as he looked away and requested, "Could you just leave me alone?"
"I will, but there are a few things I need to tell you and settle before I do that." Lindow requested, "Will you let me?"
Yu remained looking away as he reluctantly answered, "Fine …"
"Thank you." Lindow informed him, "First of all, we are going to respect your sister's wishes. You can become a God Eater after you turn sixteen and no sooner. Do you intend to honor this wish?"
Yu answered, "I promised my sister. So I will …"
"Good." Lindow couldn't help but feel a sense of relief as he said, "That makes things easier. We will also allow you to have what is left of her God Eater weapon."
That caused Yu's eyes to open as he looked in Lindow's direction, "What? How? Don't you need that for some kind of study?"
Lindow replied, "Sometimes, but that weapon was too damaged to be of any use. Instead of disposing of it, I convinced them to let you have it. I'm sure you could put it to better use than we would."
"…" Yu didn't say word.
Lindow sighed before telling Yu, "Your sister … She loved you more than anything in the world. Every time she had a day off, she made sure to spend it with you. You were what she fought for. She fought all those battle and killed those Aragami in hopes you would have a better life." Lindow firmly stated, "Never forget that."
Yu shook his head, "I never could."
"I'll return with your sister's weapon later." Lindow then informed him, "I'll help you with any arrangements you wish to make. If you ever wish to contact me, just ask for me at the front desk at headquarters. I'll meet you in person if you request it."
Yu took a breath before asking, "Would you want to say anything to her?"
Lindow leaned back in Azumi's chair as he said, "I wouldn't know where to begin …"
Yu looked down as she merely said, "Neither do I …"
"Well," Lindow leaned forward again as he advised, "if you want some advice, don't feel like you need to say everything at once. You could even say nothing at all."
Yu looked over to Lindow. "What do you mean?"
"Try not to feel pressured to do everything at once." Lindow advised, "Say a few words now and a few words later. Go at your own pace. It's what your sister would want."
Yu merely remarked, "You really got to know her.
"As a God Eater, she was easily one of the best we could have hoped for." Lindow sounded sincere as he told Yu, "She was an even better person. A good friend. A good sister. She told me a lot about what you two went through. I don't know everything, but I do know that her goal was to protect you, and she succeeded."
"…" Yu couldn't bring himself to say a word.
"Hey, kid …" When Yu looked in Lindow's direction, he held up a device. "This might not mean much, but your sister wanted her last words to be heard by you."
"…" Yu had no idea what he was looking at, but he could tell it was important.
As if reading his mind, Lindow answered, "It is a recording device." Lindow held out the recorder as he told Yu, "Before she passed, she gave me this recording. She told me if anything happened to her, that I should give this to you."
Yu didn't say a word as he accepted the recording device. He held it in his hand and stared at it.
Lindow assured him, "Just so you know I didn't listen to it. If you'd rather be alone to listen to it, I'll be more than happy to step away."
"I'd actually …" Yu held onto the recorder as she asked, "Could you give me some space … Please?"
"Sure, kid." Lindow then said, "I'll be back soon." He then shut the door.
/
Even after Lindow left the room, Yu continued to hold on and stare at the recorder in his hand. His thumb slowly reached the 'Play' button only to retract. His thumb briefly shook. He closed his eyes and took a breath before hitting the button.
"Yu, if you're hearing this that means I couldn't keep my promise to you." Yu heard the voice. It was clear. "I failed you, and I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. I can keep telling you I'm sorry, but the words would fall short." There was no mistaking that this was his sister's voice.
In Azumi's own words, Yu had no idea how to feel when he heard her voice. Should he be happy to listen to her voice one last time or should he be sad this is a reminder that he'll never hear from her again? Should he feel both? Or should he feel cheated. He still remembered the promise she made him.
"I know I failed you …" Azumi's voice was clearly depressed as she then said, "I had a feeling I'd fail right after I made that promise." She bitterly chuckled, "Hehe … We spent our entire lives running away from the Aragami, and now I'm suddenly given the power to fight them. I barely had time to settle in before they sent me on my first mission. It went well, but I could see even the 'easy' missions could be intense. If I let my guard down, I'd be as good as dead. Even if you do your best to keep your guard up, you can still make a slipup or just get unlucky. However, I kept fighting because I was fighting for you. I was fighting for a chance for you to see a world that isn't overrun by the Aragami or the leftovers of the old world. I wanted you to see the world I lived in. Even if it was a glimpse that would been enough."
"Sis …" Yu could only say that word as he continued listening.
"I enjoyed vising you on my days off. They were the best days of my life. It made me so happy to see you getting along with the Fujiki family. I felt like that was the closest you could get to the life you deserved. I made a deal and told them to stop you from being a God Eater until you were at least sixteen. I wanted you to have one more year to think it through. I had no intention of stopping you if you made your choice. I knew I could trust you. Please do not become a God Eater to avenge me." Azumi's voice pleaded with her brother, "Do what you can to stay alive. If you can, try to find a wife and start a family. God Eaters aren't forbidden from love, so don't stop yourself from loving someone else. Live your own life. Yo-"
Yu then hit the stop button. There was more, but he couldn't bring himself to listen to it all at once. It was too much. Instead, Yu held onto the recording. It sat there in his hand. His finger nearly pressed the play button again, but then he didn't. Instead, he gripped the recorder. He bit down on his lip as his hand began to shake. He couldn't stop.
After a few moments, Yu put Azumi's recording next to his bed. His now free hand then gripped onto the sheets of his bed as his arms continued to shake. The shaking eventually reverberated around his entire body. He couldn't stop himself no matter how much he wished he could. He lacked the will to do.
Yu could only turn his body and then he fell onto his bed. He gripped the sheets. He gripped the bed. It was all he could do. Eventually, his eyes closed again.
/
As Lindow promised, Yu gained possession of Azumi's weapon, and he planned to turn it into a gravestone. With the permission of the Fujiki Household, he was able to place it in their backyard next to a similar memorial they had placed for their own family members who had passed. He expressed his gratitude, but he asked to set up the gravestone himself which they respected.
Yu borrowed a shovel to break ground. The first bit of ground required extra effort on Yu's part. Yu had to press his foot down on the shovel to break through. Each subsequent effort was easier physically, but his mind caused him to pause. He looked over to Azumi's weapon. All he could do was look at it before he forced his eyes to look away. He then dug into the ground a few more times.
After several shovelfuls of dirt, Yu figured it was deep enough. When grabbed the weapon, he was reminded of how heavy it was. Azumi told him how heavy it was, but experiencing it was something else. He attempted to pull it, but it barely moved more than a few inches. Despite that, he kept pulling on the weapon to get it ever closer to the hole. Suddenly, the weapon moved without Yu's effort.
Yu looked to see Lindow holding onto the weapon as he lifted it up with little effort. Both Lindow and Yu looked at each other. No words were exchanged. Yu simply nodded his head and walked back to his shovel.
Lindow placed the butt of the weapon into the grave which was wide enough to accommodate it. Lindow held it steady as Yu buried that part of the weapon into the ground. The rest of the weapon would be pointing toward the sky. When the weapon was in place, Yu and Lindow stepped back. It was in that moment that Yu could picture his sister holding that weapon and firing it. Unfortunately, imagination was the only thing Yu could rely on.
/
Shortly after the grave was established, Yu was visited by other God Eaters who claimed to have worked with Azumi over the past two years. Yu allowed each of them to say their piece. They all said similar things with their own spin.
Each God Eater mentioned something about a different mission they were assigned with Azumi. They talked about how Azumi as a natural. They spoke of how she was able to take the Aragami by surprising them then dealing a devastating blow. Regardless of the Aragami's size, Azumi never faltered. She never gave up. She'd get the job done.
The only God Eater not to speak with Yu was the God Eater known as Soma. He didn't say a word. He glanced at Yu and walked past him. He put his hand on Azumi's weapon for a minute before leaving. Yu did not attempt to stop him. He knew this person was dealing with his sister's passing in his own way.
To describe Yu as having mixed feelings from this experience would be putting it mildly. He already knew his sister was a great God Eater. However, knowing it and having someone else confirm it was a different matter. It made him happy to hear all these people speak so highly of her. She was the pride of their family. At the same time, it was yet another confirmation that his sister was gone.
There was one other God Eater that stood out to Yu. It was a God Eater by the name of Eric. He was the last God Eater to see his sister alive.
When Eric approached Yu, he was massaging the back of his neck as he told him, "I understand that you might have some issues with the Captain, but um … Try not to blame it all on the Captain, kid."
In a solemn voice, Yu replied, "I don't want to …"
"Try not." Eric put his hand on his chest as he told Yu, "There's enough blame to go around. I was actually there by Captain Azumi's side when it all went down. Azumi radioed for help, and I was the first there, but I wasn't enough. Captain Azumi told me that we needed to hold the line. We were attacked, and it …" Eric massaged his temple as he told Yu, "It was all just a blur … The next thing I remember was someone waking me. I had this massive pain on the side of my head. Something must've hit me real good, and I was also covered in blood. I don't know what happened, but I think your sister must've protected me from the Aragami after I was hit. I owe her my life."
"So …" Yu asked, "So you thought she was great as well?"
"The best." Eric merely told him, "She was the best."

After all the God Eater mourners had paid their respects, Minato finally came. When he made his presence known to Yu, they merely looked at each other. Not a word was spoken. Instead, Yu could see the story in Minato's eyes. He could see tears beginning to well up. Yu was certain the same thing was happening with his own even though neither was about to say anything.
Instead, the two of them approached each other. They held out their arms before they circled around the other's body. They clung to each other. Eventually, they broke the hug, and they headed back to Yu's room.
Even when Minato sat in Azumi's chair and Yu sat at the edge of the bed, they remained silent a little longer. Neither was sure what to say next or how to break the silence. They seemed to be pondering how to do this.
When Minato was about to say something, Yu spoke up, "Did my sister tell you to keep an eye on me?"
Minato's mouth was half open when Yu asked that question. He merely said in response, "Yes."
"I thought so …" Yu looked down.
"Yu …" Minato reached out and touched Yu's shoulder. When Yu looked up, Minato told him, "Your sister understood how dangerous being a God Eater would be. Her instincts were always something I took seriously."
"Yeah …" Yu solemnly agreed as he glanced at the recording device, "I did, too."
Minato then said, "That's why even before we arrived at Fenrir she wanted me to look after you."
"Even before?" Yu inquired, "Why?"
"Hmm …" Minato said, "While I'm not sure if I should say this, there's no one else here. I might as well tell you. I had a feeling that … Well, to be blunt, I think that she didn't believe either of your parents were capable."
"She wasn't wrong." Yu mused.
"Yu …" Minato couldn't help but let out his disappointment. It wasn't regarding Yu, but rather at the confirmation of his belief.
"Azumi …" Yu rubbed his forehead before telling Minato, "She's the one who pretty much raised me. Mom was kind of broken, and my father tried to be the 'Mr. Law and Order' of the group. Azumi was much better at adapting to the Aragami world than either of them. It was probably because she didn't get to live in the world our parents used to live in for that long."
"Probably." Minato reminded him, "She was alive long enough to remember it, but not long enough that she would stick to their traditions."
"Yeah …" Yu slowly nodded.
Minato told him, "When you were growing up, she wanted you to grow up like she did, but she knew that wasn't possible. Her best option was to teach you how to live in this one."
"I know." Yu gripped his chest as he said, "She saved my life so many times when we were out there. I'd like to think I saved her life a couple of time, but I think it was only because she had to put herself in danger to save me in the first place."
"Don't say that." Minato reminded Yu, "You two were a team. You were there for each other when you needed each other. That's how the two of your survived."
"It's a real shame we couldn't have done that as God Eaters." Yu then said, "Maybe if I had been there, I could've done something. Anything … There must've been …"
"No." Minato gripped both of Yu's shoulder and lightly shook him. When Yu was looking in Minato's eyes he told him, "Azumi was just unlucky that day. They lost track of her and then it was too late."
"I've heard that before but …" Yu averted his eyes again, "It's just everything about it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth."
"Yes …" Minato remarked, "You're not the only one, but things do happen. We have to move on."
It was then Yu conceded to reality, "I know."
/
Author Notes: As you may have gathered this was the penultimate chapter of "The Past is Prologue". In this chapter, Yu and other characters mourned for the loss of Azumi. Minato would tell Yu that he would do his best to keep an eye on Yu, and he would visit him from time to time similar to what Azumi had once done. This whole chapter was meant to solely focus on the aftermath of Azumi's passing while setting up for the finale of this story.
When I was writing this story, it was always the plan to divide the ending in two parts. I felt like if I had Yu become a God Eater in the same chapter he was mourning the loss of his sister, it just would not work for neither the story nor the character. While he is old enough to become a God Eater, he made a promise to wait at least one more year before he becomes one. It would require a time skip to achieve that. It would make more sense that a time skip would happen between chapters rather than during them in order to rush to the ending.
Yu has been listening to his sister consistently throughout the story. I believe Yu would honor her request to wait until he is sixteen before becoming a God Eater. As a result, this chapter would be focused on Yu processing the loss of his sister, and the final chapter would be focused on him moving forward with what he planned to do from the start.
While Yu feels angry toward Lindow, he does not hate Lindow. He recognizes all the good Lindow has done. He recognizes he saved Azumi's life before. He also recognizes that Lindow has managed to save many other people's lives, and he can't save everyone. He just hates how the one life he couldn't save this time was Azumi, and Lindow himself admits he made a tactical error. He is justified in his anger, but Yu knows better than to let it go too far. He knows his sister would not want that, and his sister taught him better.
By the time of the main events of the game, Yu would not have too much of an issue to listen to Lindow's orders. He may have mixed feelings in regards to Lindow, but he would not be like one of those unlikeable, bratty main characters the author expects us to side with when we really shouldn't. Yu knows he is responsible for his decisions, and he understands the importance of following orders. While he may have issues, he understands well enough.
Thank you all for reading. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please be sure to leave a review. It will be greatly appreciated, and see you next time.
