All scenarios and people that you do not recognize, I own that, though they might be inspired from something else, but in no way is it copying them. KEY: Italics are a memory, and all caps is ASL. Sorry, some of my ASL grammar is bad. I only know some ASL, so if anyone knows how to properly say any sentences I write in ASL, please let me know, and I will change it to be how it should be! Also, I hate constantly writing about people wearing masks. So if they're in a public place, just imagine everyone wearing masks, please!
TRIVIA: What are Lucy's kids' names? What is the significance in their names? (worth 2 chapters! [names for one, significance another])

"I'll get it!" Sue called, seeing the doorbell ring.
"HAPPY THANKSGIVING!" Jack and Bob signed in unison.
Sue smiled at the sight, and the pumpkin pie they brought as well. "Hi! Happy Thanksgiving!" She exclaimed as she let them in.
"Hey!" Howie excitedly said, seeing who had arrived as Sue led them into the living room
"Hey, Howie. How's the packing going?" Jack asked.
Howie nodded. "Good. I still can't believe I won!"
"I think we all think that." Carla replied, walking in from the kitchen with some hors d'oeuvres.
"Now Carla," Bob lightly scolded, knowing what she really meant.
"It's OK. I know we never got off on the right foot, you know? Can we call a truce? For Thanksgiving's sake?" Howie asked, holding out a hand to shake as Carla set down the plate on the coffee table.
She pursed her lips, staring at him. "Oh, alright, since you're leaving." She finally said, extending her own hand as well.
Sue smiled at the sight. Finally, they accepted each other. It just took 6 months. She then saw the doorbell ring again, so she walked over to the door.
"Look who I found." Bobby said, smiling as he jabbed his thumb in the direction of Mya, Josh and Maddy, all arguing outside the door.
"Did not! I said I would do it later, not today!" Maddy exclaimed.
"Later means later today, not later another day!" Mya yelled.
"Guys, come on!" Sue yelled and waved her hands as she came out into the cold. "It's Thanksgiving! Let's enjoy the holiday!"
The two sisters grumbled, but quietly walked into the house.
"THANK YOU." Josh signed as he walked into the house, grateful.
Sue smiled her response, then came in as well.
"Hold the door, hold the door!" Tara exclaimed waving with all her might as she jogged to the door. Thankfully Sue turned around and saw. "Thank you." She said, out of breath. "It's cold out there!"
Sue nodded. "Yes, it is. I'm thankful we're in here."
Tara smiled. "ME-TOO."
No sooner than Sue got settled with everyone in the living room, the doorbell rang again. She sighed. Just as she got settled, she had to get up again.
Jack touched her knee. "I'll get it this time."
Sue smiled gratefully, then went back to enjoying the lively conversations that were around the room.
"Sue!"
Sunny, who was sitting next to Sue watching the conversations as well, let Sue know someone called her name. She looked around to find that person. "Lucy!" She exclaimed, quickly getting up to hug her friend.
"Hello!" Lucy replied, hugging her friend.
"I'm so happy you could make it!" Sue exclaimed when they let go.
"And miss Thanksgiving with my friend? No way! We wouldn't miss it for the world!"
Sue smiled, leaning down to say hello to the kids. "Hey! It's so great to see you again!"
Being young, and not seeing Sue for over a year, they hung back behind their Father.
"Do you remember Sunny? She loves to play with this toy. Why don't you try it?" Sue said, picking up a dog toy that was sitting on the couch nearby. Seeing the toy, Sunny's head and ears perked up immediately. The kids took the toy, tossed it, and then were engrossed in a fun, slobbery, squealy, game of toss.
Lucy smiled, watching them, then turned to Sue. "You're going to be an amazing Mom."
"You think?" Sue asked, then looked at Jack, who was having a very lively conversation with Bobby, then turned to Lucy again.
She nodded. "I know. Now all you have to do is get married already!"
Sue laughed. "We are! In 6 months!"
"I wish it was 6 days." She replied. "You've waited long enough."
"You want to know a secret?" Sue asked quietly.
Lucy nodded. "Yes please!"
"ME-TOO."
The two friends smiled widely at each other.
"Dinner's on!" Carla announced.
Lucy looked at her, then back at Sue. "EAT READY?"
Sue happily nodded. This was going to be a fun Thanksgiving.
