Here Comes the Bridesmaid

A/N: Hey y'all, I'm a bit low on cash this holiday season due to school, and I have commissions open, so if y'all are interested, just message me and enjoy this however long it's gonna be. Yes, Randy is the one with triplets cause I headcanoned it years ago, and who doesn't like another set of trouble.

SpongeBob, to say the least, was excited. Okay, he was super, duper, mega excited because Sandy was getting married, he'd be meeting her family, her fiancé, and he'd be her bridesmaid! The sponge vibrated with excitement next to his squirrel friend as the bus arrived.

"Now remember," Sandy started, stepping onto the bus and paying the fare for both of them. "you cain't, under any circumstances, mess this up. Especially yer fittin'." She handed him a small pill that he took the further they reached land. It'd finally help him breathe without drying out.

"Sure thing, Sandy. I promise not to mess anything up." He said, smiling up at her. This was going to be so fun!

When the pair got to Texas, SpongeBob was surprised at how. . .dry everything seemed and how the sun beamed down, making the pavement hot. A dark blue truck came to a stop beside them as Sandy smiled. A dark-furred squirrel hopped, matching the smile Sandy had.

"Trip up here wasn't too bad, was it?" the man asked, hugging Sandy and looking at SpongeBob expectantly. "This yer friend you dragged along?"

Sandy laughed, nudging Randy. "I ain't drag him along. He came willin'ly. SpongeBob, this is my brother, Randy." She said, wrapping an arm around Randy as he tipped his hat at the sponge.

SpongeBob smiled, offering his hand out to Randy, saying, "Oh, it's so nice to meet you, Sandy's told me all about your rodeos and your daughters, and—" the sponge blathered, still speaking by the time they got into the truck and drove away from the station where the bus dropped them off.

"Oh, and your wonderful pea-can pies!" SpongeBob finished, holding up the last finger of hundreds.

"You really, uh, know a lot bout here, don'cha?" Randy asked. This boy spoke more than the girls combined.

"Yup! Sandy taught me everything I know. I was even the first person to know she was getting married," SpongeBob said, giggling.

Randy shared a look with Sandy that she met, brows furrowed in the silent way of telling her brother not to say anything. Of course, she told SpongeBob after her family. He just didn't need to know that.

As they stopped in front of Sandy's parents' house, SpongeBob hopped out first in excitement, eager to meet Jodi and Kenneth. He had heard so much about them, and now he was finally meeting them!

Sandy watched SpongeBob run into the house, intent on following him before Randy stopped her.

"Y'know, it's good to have you back. . ." he said, pausing as he took his hands off the steering wheel. "I jus'. . ." he paused again, taking his sister's hand.

"Randy, what's goin' on?"

"Hellloo, Mr. and Mrs. Cheeks!" SpongeBob shouted as he walked through the door, waving at Sandy's parents. Two squirrels looked at him, the woman with blonde hair and fur like Sandy's, while the man looked more like Randy with a mustache.

Jodi almost dropped the pie she was making.

Kenneth, well. . . "For the love of—" the man started, standing up out of his seat. "I must've finally lost it. Jodi, you seein' what I'm seein'?"

Jodi nodded, setting her pie on the counter and going over to SpongeBob. She swallowed as she watched the sponge look at both of them, then blush.

"Our baby's invention worked," Jodi mumbled, suddenly picking SpongeBob up in a hug. "How do you feel right now? Are ya alright?" she asked quickly, bringing him into the kitchen with her.

SpongeBob could see where Sandy got her inquisitive nature from now. He smiled, nonetheless. "I'm fine, Mrs. Cheeks. You have a lovely home. So, when do I get to meet the fiancé?" SpongeBob asked, grinning, and wiggling his eyebrows as he nudged Jodi.

Jodi laughed, sweeping a blonde curl behind her ear. "He won't get here 'til tomorrow, sweetheart. There she is," Jodi continued, walking out of the kitchen and heading toward Sandy as she and Randy finally came inside the house.

SpongeBob smiled, going over to Kenneth and sitting beside him. "What's this?" he asked, looking up at the older squirrel.

"Football," Kenneth answered, looking at SpongeBob for a moment. Well, who was he to judge who his own daughter wanted to bring to her wedding?
