A/N: :3 Drama time, well, even more drama. Also, I'd like to ask a question to my readers. Since school is ending soon, which fic should I focus on after this one?
SpongeBob looked out the window as a car pulled up and a slim, dark blonde squirrel got out with a black suitcase. He turned to the family sitting on the couch flipping through photo albums, saying, "Hey guys, someone walking up the driveway."
Sandy appeared beside him, looking out the window as well before hopping off the couch and running outside. SpongeBob watched as Sandy tackled the other woman in a hug, reading her lips as his name came up and Sandy started walking back toward the house.
"Y'all, this is my cousin, Becca," Sandy said, moving Becca's suitcase upstairs.
Becca immediately went over to Shadow, looking him over and pressing a hand against his chest and stomach a few times.
"What are you—."
"He's very. . .solid, where'd you find him?" Becca asked, smiling at Sandy as she came back downstairs.
Sandy chuckled, patting Shadow on the back. "Nowhere special," she answered.
Becca's smile grew as she fixed Shadow's collar before turning toward SpongeBob and reaching a hand out. "You must be SpongeBob, right?"
"Yep!" the sponge replied, biting his tongue at the strength Becca used.
"N yer gonna be one of Sandy's bridesmaids, ain't that nice." She continued, letting go of the sponge's hand and tossing an arm around her cousin. "Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to steal the bride fer some shoppin'. Don't wait up."
Sandy grinned, following Becca out of the house as she said, "You should rest first, I already put yer luggage in yer room."
By the time the two were gone, Shadow's frown deepened as he brushed invisible dust off himself.
"Ah, don't worry 'bout Becca," Randy started, waving a dismissive hand. "she's always been like that."
"Disregarding of personal space?"
"Really strong?" SpongeBob asked, looking at his reddening hand.
"Both," Randy answered, leaving the living room to get SpongeBob an ice pack.
SpongeBob thanked him, looking up at Shadow as he tied a towel around the ice pack and SpongeBob's hand. Maybe he could get to know Shadow more while Sandy was out.
Sandy stood in front of the shop with Becca, arms crossed and eyes narrowed. She definitely wasn't about to walk into Victoria's Secret with her cousin.
"Come on, it ain't that bad," Becca said, grabbing Sandy's arm and pulling her into the shop. "Has Shadow ever seen you in lingerie before?"
Sandy blushed as she thought about it then shook her head in response.
"Exactly, so let's fix that."
"Sooo, what's your favorite ice cream flavor?" SpongeBob asked as he stood outside with Shadow.
Shadow looked down at him, blowing smoke out and taking another drag of his cigarette. "Don't have one," he answered.
"What about music? Games? Do you like football like Mr. Cheeks too?"
"Doesn't matter, I don't play games, and no, I'm more of a hockey guy."
SpongeBob smiled, asking more questions as Shadow finished his cigarette and started another.
"What's your favorite color? How'd you and Sandy meet? Are you just as worried about her as I am?"
Shadow opened his eyes at the last question, so close to snapping at the sponge to make him shut up for five seconds until he asked that question. Shadow sighed then, stomping out his cigarette.
"Of course I am. I'm not about to let someone take away her happiness," Shadow finally replied, looking out at the distance as the sun started to set.
If Sandy wanted him to, he could get rid of her uncle permanently, but he doubted that's what she wanted.
Sandy's face was red by the time her and Becca walked out of the shop with two bags, both of them for Sandy.
"Was this really necessary?" Sandy asked, looking over at Becca as they took a seat in the food court.
"Yeah, you want your honeymoon to go off without a hitch, don't you?" Becca asked, taking out a planner.
"But the weddin' ain't til Sunday,"
"Which is why a test run is in order, 'sides you can't keep a man like that waitin' forever," Becca said, a sort of dreamy look entering her eyes. "Specially if he's built like that."
Sandy frowned. "I jus' think Shadow's alright with waitin' too." She said as Becca scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"What if he isn't? Then what?"
Sandy shrugged. She wasn't sure about making the first move even less so with her uncle being around somewhere. At the same time, maybe it wouldn't hurt her. She already knew Shadow wouldn't hurt her, so what was the harm in trying?
