Toph stood over the bodies of the earthbending wrestlers, "I'm the greatest earthbender ever!"
Aang, Katar, and Sokka got on their knees, "Please teach me earthbending!"
Toph crossed her arms and thought about it for a moment, "No."
Toph jumped out of the stadium. She went to the moon and grabbed it. She started to pull it towards the planet. The moment she was above the Fire Nation, she threw the moon at the fire nation capital. The resulting crash caused a massive wave that engulfed half of the Earth Kingdom.
Toph was triumphant and watched the future foundation for her kingdom.
"And that's the story of how I saved the world."
Toph was sitting in a chair with Lin and Suyin in bed, "I don't think that's right."
"C'mon Lin. It's just a story."
"And that new outfit you have is just ugly."
"Hey!"
"I think it looks great."
"Thanks mom-"
Suyin narrowed her eyes at her mom.
Book 2 is my favorite season.
It has my favorite episodes and it introduces my favorite character.
Zuko Alone is an episode that really is great to show to people who want a more character driven piece.
Some people do say that the townspeople were pretty unlikable, but I understand why they were resentful to Zuko.
This season does a great job of showing how the war in the Earth Kingdom is going and the Ba Sing Se plot is great.
It's a great example of how all you need to stop a corrupt government is a kidnapped animal, it biting someone, and an enemy invasion. Life is funny like that.
Let's talk about Toph. She is my fav tied with Katara. She's not just a cocky kid. She has actual depth and an interesting personality.
I do wish they had the resolution for her parents in the show and not the comics, but it was still very good stuff.
Another thing I wish happened was that the two guys Toph's parents sent did more, but it probably wouldn't have mattered much.
Aang losing Appa is a very good plotline. It really does show how much Aang values Appa and it really let's their connection show.
"Whatever happened to Jet?"
They made it obvious that he died. Move on.
Let's talk about Zuko's development here.
I like most of his stuff here. It's really neat to see him be moreā¦.humble is probably not the right word, but it feels appropriate.
What I don't like is how he stays a villain this season.
"Azula always lies."
These are his own words and he goes along with Azula when she wants him to work with her at the end.
I'd have an easier time buying it as a moment of weakness if it wasn't for the fact that Zuko became perfectly happy as a tea server.
His whole metamorphosis shtick is completely tossed aside in the finale.
It feels like a Kylo Ren situation. Where they couldn't decide whether or not to redeem him.
That brings us to Azula.
She is awesome and I feel like she should have been the main villain.
I'll get into why I feel that way when I talk about Ozai, but it's probably not an unpopular opinion.
Mai and Ty lee are fun. They have depth and some really good moments.
My favorite episode of Book 2 is probably Tales of Ba Sing Se. It's just a really neat anthology and it's my favorite episode of the show.
Watch Book 2. That's all I've got to say.
