The night of almost proposal
After Mariah & I left Crimson Lights She went to see Sharon to check everything was okay before her surgery tomorrow. I went & bought Mariah's favourite red wine 'Santa Inze Cabernet Sauvignon' & went back to our studio to wait till she came home. About an hour later she came threw the door, took her coat off & sat down. She had a look of concern on her face for her mum, which is totally understandable.
I poured her & myself a glass of wine & placed them on the coffee table along with the open bottle & a bucket of popcorn. Mariah said "what's this?" "I just thought we could relax & watch a classic sci fi !" We sat back & I turned on the movie. Mariah turned to me & said "Tes this is what we watched on our first date.""You remembered?""How could I forget?" she said & laid her head on my chest, I put my arm round her, pulled her close & kissed her head.
When the movie had finished I put the glasses on the counter & Mariah put the sofa bed out & sat down, I walked over & sat on the edge of the bed. I looked in her eyes they where so beautiful, "Mariah" I said softly "I love you so much, you mean the world to me!" her face soften "Tes you mean everything to me too, I love you so much, she leaned over clasped my face in her tender soft hands & kissed me softly, I put my arms around her & kissed her back more passionately, she moved her hands from my face & unbuttoned my blouse & I slipped it off. Her fingers where so soft & light on my back. I gently unbuttoned Mariah's top gently pushed her from kissing me & slipped her top off, pulled her close & passionately kissed her. We made love.
In the morning I got a phone call from Tanner asking me to sing at a concert, I would be away for a couple of days. I didn't really want to leave Mariah with her mum being in hospital but we discussed it & she assured me she would be okay & even though she'd miss me like crazy she wanted me too. She promised to keep in touch about everything that was happening. So I packed my bag ready to leave. Mariah was sitting on the sofa, I sat next to her " It'll just be a couple of days
I'll be back before you know it""I know" she said with tears in her eyes"I'll miss you so much!""I want you to do something for me""Anything!""I want you to wear my black ring & when your missing me it will be a reminder that I'm yours". I took it off my finger & passed it to her, with tears running down her face she placed it on her finger leaned towards me & kissed me softly then hugged me. I held her so tight I could feel her heartbeat against mine & her warm breath on my neck.
The car arrived & we said goodbye to each other, I wiped the tears from her eyes & gave her one more long kiss.
Over the two days I spoke to Mariah & text. I was finally on my way back home. I couldn't wait to see her, since we got back together everything has been better than ever with no secrets just total honesty. The Jet touched down for the last time for a while for me.
It was evening by the time I got back to our studio & Mariah had already left to go to the function in society, I had arranged to meet her there. I promptly had a shower got changed & picked up my guitar & left to catch up.
As I got there I rang Mariah & told her I was outside, she came out to meet me, with a big welcoming hug & a kiss so passionate I could feel how much she had missed me. We went inside & I placed my guitar by the stage. Mariah went to order us drinks while I went the rest room.
When I came out & looked over at the bar I saw the one person I never expected to see Lindsay with her hand on Mariah's arm. I saw red "What the hell are you doing here?" I shouted. Everyone stopped & looked round. Lindsay moved her hand from Mariah's arm turned & looked at me "talking to Mariah!""I told you to leave Mariah alone, she doesn't want you!" I walked over to where Mariah & Lindsay were standing. "Yes she does, she just doesn't know it yet, I can give her so much more than you & I'd never leave her behind for days/weeks on end. You don't deserve her" "You're right I don't but she loves me, you where a mistake!" as soon as those words left my lips Lindsay dived at me knocking me off my balance, she pulled my hair I pulled hers, we rolled round the floor. She scratched my face. Then I managed to push her off but before I could go in for another blow Kevin & Nicholas stepped in & separated us. "I think you should leave!" Nicholas said to Lindsay, then he let me go & I walked off the restroom. Mariah followed me "Are you okay?" I was shaking like a leaf she put her arms around me & held me so close, "I'm so sorry this is all my fault""Mariah stop it's not &she's gone now," she got a damp cloth & wiped the blood from my head & kissed me.
After I had composed myself I went out to the stage & took out my guitar ready to perform, Mariah stood at the bar watching me. I sang 'a piece of you' when it ended Mariah walked over with something in her hand.
She took hold of the microphone "Tesssa my honey voice Tessa I love you so very much, you mean the world to me. I could never live without you!" Mariah looked straight into my eyes as she opened the box she was holding "Will you make my dreams come true & marry me?
