A few months after Mariah's proposal
It's been a few months since Mariah proposed to me at society & I didn't accept. Now I feel we are closer than ever since we talked. Her Mum Sharon got the all clear & is cancer free which came as a big relief. Mariah has been running Crimson Lights while Sharon gets back on her feet & she ask me to play there to attract more customers, how could I say no I get to do what I love & I get to be with the woman I love. I can't resist the looks she gives me while I'm playing my guitar & singing, she makes my heart melt. I haven't seen or heard anything of Lindsay since our altercation & hope it stays that way.
In two days time it'll be our 2nd Anniversary of when we first moved in together & have planned for us to have a nice quiet evening/night together in the penthouse of a near by hotel with room service, champagne, strawberries the works, I'm hoping to surprise her like she did me last year.
It's the morning of our anniversary & Sharon was feeling well enough to run Crimson Lights & told Mariah to take the day off as I had previously planned. I looked over at Mariah still sleeping she looked so peaceful & beautiful I don't know how I got so lucky. I gently touched her cheek, her skin so soft & warm. Pushed the strands of lovely red hair from her face & leaned in & kissed her sweet soft lips as I went to pull away her eyes opened, she smiled put her arm around me & pulled me towards her for a passionate long kiss. I put my arm around her & held her so close running my fingers on her warm soft skin, we made love.
Later I told her I was taking her away for the night but I didn't say where. We packed our over night bags & jumped in my car, I started the car but before we set off I turned to Mariah "are you ready!" "Yes!" she put her hand on mine leaned over & kissed me & whispered "lets go!".
I drove about half an hour till I turned into a long driveway the opening had big metal gates, I drove up the long road towards a big hotel it screamed luxury. I stopped the car at the at the entrance & got out gave my keys to the hotel attendant went round to the passenger door & opened it for Mariah took her hand as she stepped out. The Bell Boy got our bags out of the boot & we walked into the hotel which had a red carpet, threw the lobby to the desk were I gave my name & the receptionist gave the bell boy the key card walked toward the elevator, I took Mariah's hand & we stepped in the elevator, When we reached the top floor we all stepped out, the bell boy opened the door passed me the card. placed the bags down & left. The look on Mariah's face was a picture. I said "what do you think?" walking behind her & putting my arms around her"It's amazing Tessa, I love it & I love you so much" she turned round & kissed me passionately.
Later that evening we where cuddled on the bed watching television a sifi horror of course while we where drinking the champagne & eating strawberries. When the film finished I turned off the television & turned to Mariah "You do know I will never leave you, I know you have felt abandoned most of your life & all the lies I had made you feel insecure. I want you to know that all that is behind us because you changed me, you make me feel safe, wanted & I never thought I could love someone as much as I love you!" "Tes" she took my hand & looked in my eyes with that hypnotising look "I knew there was more to you than your lies you make me feel loved, secure & happy. I love you so much, "She leaned towards me & cupped my face in her hands & kissed me so soft. I run my hands threw her hair we snuggled down in the bed & explored each others bodies as we made love through the night.
The next morning we ordered room service & had breakfast before we packed our bags to leave. We had a shower got dressed, as we where about to leave I grabbed Mariah's hand she turned & looked at me " Mariah, I have something to ask you?"
