Mariah's answer to Tessa
So here I was in Park Lane waiting for an answer from Mariah to my proposal. She finally spoke "Tes, you know I love you more than anything in the world, but I feel there are things I need to say before I say yes". My heart sank & I could feel the colour drain from my face, I didn't want Mariah to see my disappointment so I smiled & said "Mariah you can tell me anything, I will wait however long it takes I'm not going anywhere I love you!" "I love you too Tes." She kissed me then put her arms round me & hugged me. "Can we go back the hotel there's things I need to say" so we stood up I picked up the blanket & we walked backed hand in hand.
When we got back to the Regis hotel & back in our room, we ordered room service. Had our meal then sat down on the bed, "Tes I can see you're disappointed but after what I have to say I'm not sure you'll feel the same way" "Mariah I don't know what would make you think that but I'm here & will listen to what you have to say".
"Here goes, you might not want to hear this but I need to tell you everything about why I started a friendship with Lindsay, I feel I need to tell you everything". My heart sank but I knew she really needed to say it so I held her hand "If you feel you need to Mariah, I'm listening." "I became friends with Lindsay while you where away because I missed you so much, I didn't realise how hard it was going to be especially when Sharon got sick, I wanted you home so badly but I didn't want to be the reason you cut your tour short. So I didn't tell you! I know now that was wrong & I should have been up front & honest. I saw Lindsay every day just to talk about things & how I was missing you. I just thought we were good friends & that night you found her with me I think you need an explanation!" "Mariah you don't have to do this", tears started running down her face. "I do that day I was feeling so lost without you & the last time I spoke to you Tanner was there shirtless & you looked so happy I had it in my head you didn't need me anymore you'd found the life you wanted. Anything I'd say would drag you down. So I sat at the bar talking to Lindsay & when she finished work she could see how upset I was & said did I want any company. We went back to our flat I only meant to talk & honestly Tes I don't know what happened I did something really stupid selfish & hurtful to you. Then you walked in." " Mariah it's okay, you made a mistake we got threw it, I know you've had a hard life & you probably felt insecure while I wasn't around & that's partly my fault I should have been more attentive & kept in touch more. But it's the past & it'll never happen again." I wiped the tears from her eyes put my arm around Mariah & pulled her in close to me. She put her head on my chest. "Tes there is one more thing I need to tell you!" I looked at her & she sat back up, "the night you saw her at the bar with me when you came back of your trip & you had a fight." "What about it?" " That wasn't the only time I'd seen her, I saw her earlier that day when I was in Crimson Lights, she just walked in & said she needed to tell me something". "What did she say Mariah! Tell me" I could feel my blood start to boil "She said that the night we where together meant so much to her. she loved me & I deserved better! I told her she was so wrong you're my soulmate & I could never love anyone as much as you! Then she left" I could feel the tears start running down my face "So when I saw her at the bar with her hand on your arm?" "She was trying to persuade me to be with her!" Those words were like a punch in my stomach. I didn't know what to say so I told Mariah I needed some fresh air & went for a walk.
I didn't go far about 30 minutes I was gone, when I got back to the room Mariah was standing by the window looking out at the beautiful scenery. I walked over to her, put my arms round her waist & my head on her shoulder & whispered in her ear "Thankyou, I love you so much! I will always be here for you. You're stuck with me!" I kissed her ear then her neck, she turned around & looked at me with those beautiful a bit red from crying eyes "That's all I want Tes is to be stuck with you, I love you so much too" I pulled her close & kissed her with all the passion & love I was feeling for her.
Later that evening we where in bed cuddled up watching yet another classic Sifi movie, when Mariah turned to me "Tes if you still want me after everything, Yes I will marry you!" I couldn't believe what I heard my heart started racing. "you said yes" "yes if you'll have me, I love you so much Tes never want to be without you." I kissed her & we made passionate love then went to sleep in each others arms. Little does she know what I have planned tomorrow.
