It wasn't just his memories, Sakura saw his fantasies from back then.
All of his fantasies.
[Her body was shoved flat against the cave's interior, forcefully pinned to the cave's entrance with her mouth sealed by Sasuke's, their tongues dancing passionately, neither side willing to concede defeat.
His hands made haste in undoing her clothes while she spared him the same courtesy. In fact, she was more impassioned than him; more anxious and impatient. Her nails ripped the white zipped up shirt he always wore as she tore it straight apart from the neckline, causing the sides to hang loosely around his bare, lean shoulders, then down to the crooks of his elbows.
Her mouth moved down to connect with his right nipple, causing a moan to escape his lips. When she was done, he sucked fervently on her neck, continuing until he was sure there would be a mark. Because she was his.
And she knew it too as she redoubled her passionate efforts: one of her hands clawed at his back until there were five deep red nail streaks across his ivory skin while her other hand made quick to undo the rest of their clothes. The Uchiha groaned both in pain and pleasure as she took him completely, gripping him by his shoulders now to force him to push into her against the wall.
"I love you Sasuke," she whispered as he plunged completely into her. Her mouth pressed against his sweaty ear while her arms wrapped endearingly around his slender neck. "I love you so much."
He didn't respond, only coming to grip her jawline, to force her back facing him so that he could kiss her.
His other hand kept her legs wrapped around his waist by a solid grip on her posterior as he continued building their rhythm. The bodies glistened with sweat from their passion as Sakura clung on ever tightly to Sasuke.
"Don't ever leave me," she whispered at the height of her pleasure, spasmodic tremors raking through body from pure love of the man penetrating her.
"You're all I want. All I'll ever want."
Sasuke gripped her by the back of her neck. "Who do you belong to?"
Sakura smiled. "Sasuke Uchiha."
He covered her mouth again.]
Sasuke burst awake from his dream, a pool of sweat ladled across his forehead, making the ends of his hair stick sharp together.
Gasping for breath, Sasuke wiped his forehead with his arm and stood up from his simple cotton sheet across the cave's floor that functioned as his bed. The man stood up slowly, tired and exasperated of all his thoughts of Sakura.
At first the dreams started with him confronting her, punishing her for this obsession but…eventually they evolved into this…mess.
Or rather, the way he envisioned things happening between them once she was back by his side. It wasn't always about sex, not even half the time. Sometimes the dreams portrayed her ogling over him like the past before (and him courteously letting her do so), sometimes it showed her cooking or preparing food for him like she'd always wanted to in the past, peeling apples or packing lunch boxes.
Everything, everything from the past that she'd offered and wanted to give…he dreamed of himself accepting.
Well. Not accepting, just not rejecting, was the better way to phrase it. Sasuke tried to argue with himself.
Anyways, this was how things were going to be after he brought her back. Because she had said before, that she was happiest helping him.
He knew she would behave like this once she came back, she always did.
Because she loved him.
She. Loved. Him.
Not the other way around.
He didn't love things.
He didn't need anything.
But he supposed he did want Sakura, quite a lot these days. He wanted her as much as he wanted revenge back in those days of Team Seven.
And he only had to wait a little while more now.
Sakura burst awake in present time, a plethora of cold sweat seeping from her forehead.
This was the fourth time this week she'd had dreams like this. Not the same dream but similar ones. Ever since she'd stepped into the Land of Earth dreams about Sasuke fantasizing when he finally got her back into his life.
So he had expected her to completely throw herself at him…no wonder, he'd been disappointed. Not that that was any excuse for what he did to her.
It turned out, that it wasn't only the physical settings that would trigger flashbacks for her but just every now and again, she would see something about Sasuke from after the Fourth War ended.
Itachi had failed to mention this to her.
Though, she had been expecting something along the lines of deception from him from the very beginning. He was Sasuke's brother after all.
She'd been travelling for about two and a half weeks now, managing to leave Konoha and get to the its Northwest land without drawing any unwanted attention to herself.
This was all thanks to the invisibility jutsu Itachi had taught her. It was a high level technique that sucked a lot of chakra but kept her completely hidden from any mid-ranged shinobi and bystander that she didn't want to see her.
Because of how draining the technique was, Sakura undid it each night before she slept and kept herself hidden underneath natural coverings as camouflage.
This system was working pretty well so far.
The one thing she had to look out for was ANBU but because she always stuck to an untraveled, natural path, she basically never saw one. Foragers, campers and hikers she encountered a lot of but none of them knew any advanced jutsu and therefore could not see her, only placing the rustling of leaves to be some kind of wild critter or the wind.
Pushing away the large leaves she'd been using for a bed cover, Sakura dusted herself off from her spot behind a large Morus tree.
She should arrive at the intersection leading to either Iwagakure or towards wild mountain ranges by today. Sakura had recognized the intersection as one of the locations she'd seen in her vision. One of the paths that lead to the mysterious snake cave.
By night, she was at the entrance. When she'd been climbing various snakes had slithered around her ankles but for some reason not one of them bit her. In fact, they all parted ways to her, as if welcoming her to their territory.
She knew this had something to do with her being "married" to Sasuke but Sakura didn't think too much into it.
The cave stood before her, completely dark and ominous. Sucking in a deep breath, Sakura stepped in. Upon her first step, the ground slid inwards and she found herself forced down a steep pitch black slope.
"AH!" Sakura screamed while she slid on the sandy declivity. Literally she could see nothing around her. If the bottom was a spike pit then this was the end for her.
As she fell, her mind simultaneously pulled her into a vision:
Sasuke Uchiha stood in the same cave…only with a bottom throughout the entire interior. He was standing over the recently deceased corpse she'd seen before. He kicked at it furiously without mercy, shoving the body up against the cave's wall every now and again with his blows.
His rage bubbled deep inside his chest and portrayed across his beautiful features. "Dammit! Dammit!"
Sakura watched in real life as the man disfigured the corpse, even going as far as to dismember it, limb from limb. When he got to the head, she gasped, finally identified the familiar looking clothes from someone in her past…Kabuto.
"Who the FUCK gave you permission to die?" Sasuke screamed before sending an immense Fire Release Jutsu through his palms and incinerating the body parts that now lied strewn in front of him.
When there was nothing left but cinders and the coarse smell of charred flesh, Sasuke rescinded the jutsu, breathing shallowly in his rage.
In real life Sakura could feel the fury he felt then…the hopelessness, the anguish…because he thought he would never be able to get her back now.
Sasuke emitted a furious scream and it looked like he was giving up but in a second, his eyes turned red with the Mangekyo Sharingan. Sasuke looked over everything in the cave, carefully examining every rock and crevice.
It took him quite a while but his efforts paid off in the end, because he found a concealed lever inside the center of a large stalactite from the ceiling. Breaking the rock formation to reveal the lever, Sasuke pulled it down.
Immediately, the floor beneath him fell open, revealing an ominous dark opening that lined the entirety of the cave's width.
Sasuke jumped down. Darkness surrounded his vision for the entire fall but his sharingan allowed him to locate where a good place to fall was. There was a fairly large and deep pool to land into, clearly meant to break visitor's falls.
Sasuke maneuvered his body aerially, placing his arms in front of him so that he could direct himself better while he descended…landed perfectly into the ice cold pool.
In present time, Sakura hadn't jumped from the same spot Sasuke had; she'd fallen, which meant she didn't have to worry about the force of gravity accelerating her fall (and impact) so much as she had to worry about the friction from the slope burning away all of her skin.
Sakura managed to summon a shield around herself, halfway into the decline, so she only lost about a quarter of the skin on her legs and upper arms. Still, it stung miserably as she continued tumbling downwards.
Finally, her face planted against moist wet Earth, saving her any kind of concussion at the very least.
She gasped and sputtered out a mouthful of dirt before she rolled onto her back and then finally sitting upright, wincing as her movements stretched the skin around her friction burns.
Summoning her green chakra into her hands, Sakura concentrated the healing power into her fingertips before waving them over her burns. The flesh stitched back together between the torn clothes, looking flawless and unmarred in the end.
Satisfied with herself, Sakura stood up and looked around, surprised she hadn't been pulled into another vision.
There was only one source of light inside the damp cavern and it came from a simple stone lectern. Or podium, Sakura supposed, though it was too thin. It looked…kind of like a music stand, though there were no music sheets and as she drew closer, she saw there were kanji carvings etched into the stone's surface but she couldn't recognize any of the symbols.
Her hand glided over the writing and the instant her skin touched it a bright radiance erupted in a ringlet that grew from the stand and then dissipated once it touched her.
Then to her amazement, she saw herself, standing right in front of her, the way she'd looked the year before her kidnapping. Short hair kept back by the Leaf's steel headband, fleshier than she was now (since she hadn't been malnourished then), face shinier, healthier.
Sakura couldn't see any mirror in front of her and reached a hand out to touch what she was sure was a hallucination. Her hand lightly traipsed over her doppelganger's shoulder.
Her reflection laughed.
"Am I that foreign looking?" she suddenly asked and the real Sakura had to gasp, jumping back one step.
What did you think of the dreamception? Haha. I didn't know how else to make the distinction except with brackets.
What do you think of this chapter?
