Greetings from SeekerMeeker.

Hello, so I am a new fan of "Amphibia," partly due to its ties with the older show "Gravity Falls." So, I hope to try and join this fandom, and shine.

Plus, the year 2020 was not exactly the best year for many of us. However, every bad time is an opportunity for greatness in the world.

So, here is my entry into the Amphibia fandom.

Enjoy, and may God bless you all in these crazy times.

Note: I think that I am the first person to make a reptilian AU of "Amphibia." Nobody else has tried this, so I hope that this will go well.

If so, then I, SeekerMeeker, am the very first person to make a reptilian AU. I hope that this is something to contribute to the Amphibia fandom.

REPTILIA

Amphibia AU / Spin-off

By SeekerMeeker

Amphibia belongs to Matt Braly and his associates, including Disney.

I own the OCs and some ideas.

Chapter 1: Awake

An imaginary scenario from an episode...

"The end," Anne declared, finishing up her own story.

Leaning on the floor with her right hand, sitting cross-legged, she was telling her story to the Plantars, her own adopted family of frogs. Today was the day of the Blue Moon, which to the frogs was supposed to be dangerous to look at. Hence, she and her family were technically stuck inside...just like us, stuck at home due to that epidemic going rampant.

"Not bad," Hop Pop remarked, while Polly smiled with her cute arms raised.

"Ooh!" Sprig replied, clapping his hands. They all loved her story.

Suddenly, her phone rang.

"AAH!" all of them screamed. Well, you cannot blame them; if you're telling a scary story that had to do with your cell phone, and it suddenly rang, you cannot blame them for getting scared out of their wit.

"Oh," she sighed in relief. "Just a calendar alert reminding me it's Wally's birthday."

She showed them her cell phone, which showed a picture of a slice of birthday cake. It had the name "Wally" underneath.

"But imagine," she added. "If something from my story was real. That would be crazy."

A temple interior from somewhere...

"It's been over 2,000 years," a voice groaned inside of a strange, ornate room. "And this dude is still as a stone."

"Hold your tongue," another hissed, as two figures were waving palm leaves with their scaled, humanoid arms. "He's an ancient being. Be nice to him."

They were inside a strange, colossal room, surrounded by walls of colorful glyphs and other patterns, with ornate windows above, so that it felt like a mixture of both a cathedral and a pyramid's tomb. Numerous pillars and arches filled the room, towering over a floor of obsidian and jade tiles. A single, red carpet with golden lines extended from the golden doorway to what looked like a throne. The throne was a square slab of pure-white concrete with golden patterns, with a soft, red cushion with blue stripes on top. It was floating a few centimeters from the floor.

Two figures were waving very large palm fronds over a single tortoiseshell.

"And anyway," the hisser said, fanning the shell. "We are Saurians. We all need some comfort, even for one who has been sleeping for over 2,000 years."

The figure to the left of the throne groaned. He was Igor, a type of Lizardman, a race of reptilian humanoids. He looked like a humanoid version of the blue iguana, but wore a fancy suit of armor and golden amulets. On his head, he wore a crown of feathers, much like that of Sioux native Americans.

"But Corin," Igor spoke. "We've been in charge of this by choice, but it's boring!"

He growled, but nodded. Corin was the figure to the right of the throne. Unlike Igor, Corin was a Snakeman, a type of humanoid snake. Like Igor, he had an upper body that was vaguely humanoid. Unlike him, however, Corin had the lower body of a snake, especially that of a king cobra, down to both colors and stripes. Hence, he had two arms but no legs.

"Yeah but still," Corin hissed. "It's the least we can do: tending the oldest Chelon in world history, and his shell is huge."

Igor looked. The tortoiseshell was colossal, dwarfing both of them. The shell had star-like, golden markings all around, much like that of the radiated tortoise of Madagascar. However, the shell clearly had the overall silhouette of a giant tortoise.

"I know," Igor grunted. "But you and I both are the only Saurians to volunteer to take care of this old man. I heard that he is the oldest of all Chelons known. And Corin, even you are bored."

"Eh, can't help it." Corin admitted with a sigh. "I got the job, because it was better than being a garbage collector."

Igor shook his head.

"Unbelievable!" he retorted. "A cobra like you being a garbage collector! When you told me how you got it, I cannot believe it!"

"At least there is nothing against me transferring to this job," Corin replied with a sigh. "Much better pay, and better status for me and my family. But yours is bizarre!"

"Me?" Igor asked, rolling his eyes. "Being a scribe was boring! All I did was nothing but writing books after books!"

"But that's actually a noble job!" Corin gasped. "I cannot believe that they treated you like that!"

"I think it's because I was the only Iguana there," Igor groaned. "So, when this job opened up, I took it. My old boss tried to keep me in, but refused to raise my pay. Now, here I am."

"Aren't you good at books?" Corin asked, raising an eyebrow. "I thought you liked them?"

"That's the irony!" Igor groaned. "I hate books, yet know how to write well! Strangely, I enjoy the writing part! Augh!"

He shivered, as the frond danced frantically through the vibrations.

"Not paying you well?" Corin noted. "Despite it being integral to our society? That's strange."

"There is a big difference," Igor said, fanning the throne. "Between theory and reality. In theory, writing is one of the most important jobs in our society. In reality, they think that it's a joke."

"What going here?" a croaking sound erupted, as another figure appeared. The figure looked like Igor, but with giant, bulging muscles throughout. Its head also was shaped like that of an alligator, and towered over both Igor and Corin. It also wore armor, but one that was clearly heavier than that of Igor.

"Hey there," Igor said, waving his claws. "Alan, we're talking about this old man as usual."

"Not care," Alan replied, shrugging before moving away. "But goo luck."

"He speaks with a weird tone," Corin remarked. "Has he always spoken like that?"

"Ever since we were both hatchlings," Igor admitted. "Crocans like he are actually smarter than they seem. However, Alan is an oddball in trying to learn to speak normally."

"Is it because he is smart?" Corin asked.

"Alan has wanted to prove that his kind is not stupid," Igor remarked. "But he's trying to find a way to remedy his people's weird accent."

"Why is he concerned?" Corin asked.

"Don't you see?" Igor croaked. "They sound stupid with that accent. Alan is essentially stating what others feel."

"OK," Corin said, tilting his head. "So anyway, let's focus on something important: what will happen if our tortoise lord here wakes up?"

"Impossible," Igor grunted. "But it will make for a great story!"

"Is he woke?" Alan asked, appearing again. This time, he carried a tray of something.

Igor and Corin sniffed, and made a face.

"Those warmbloods have a bizarre taste," Igor groaned.

"You mean humans," Corin groaned.

"Goo food," Alan grunted, taking a piece of steak. "Hmm, yum! They have great meat!"

"Their meat," Igor asked. "Or their flesh?"

Alan made a face.

"I not eat cooks," he grunted. "I cook food, not eat cooks."

Igor shrugged, while Corin rolled his eyes at his buddy's remarks. Alan merely responded by eating more of the "human food."

"But agree," Alan spoke. "This job boring. Wish for more."

"Agreed," Igor said with a sigh. "I hope for some great adventures of sort. Being a Lizardman here is boring."

"But humans sure give us something interesting," Corin said. "Maybe we need to find new humans!"

"New men?" Alan asked, his curiosity piqued. "In the name of Dinos, this I love."

"They did remark about other human peoples out there," Corin said. "I wonder if we'll see more?"

"So yeah," Igor sighed. "We've been talking nonsense for so long. Nonsense such as new types of humans out there, much like us finding more of our kinds. Imagine if something exciting becomes reality."

"And reality is no illusion," a voice suddenly spoke.

The three Saurians inside the room froze. The voice was an echo, resonating through the room. It felt like the voice of some higher power. Even the images on the walls seemed to shake.

"Did I hear?" Igor gasped, his frond shaking.

"I did too," Corin hiccupped, dropping his frond.

"I-I-I," Alan panted. He dropped his tray, the food scattering around the floor. He then whipped out his battleaxe from his back.

"Hello there," the same voice spoke, this time everyone knew where it was coming from.

"Are you..." Igor gasped, but trailed off.

At first, nothing happened. Then, the shell started to shake, and the star-like patterns started to glow a bright golden color. A long, scaled neck slowly emerged from an opening of the shell, and a grayish head with a kind, serene smile appeared.

"No way," Igor gasped, covering his mouth.

"NO WAY!" Corin roared, then coughed due to straining his throat.

"HE LIVE!?" Alan gawked!

The Chelon blinked, his eyes straining to deal with the sunlight from the ceiling. He then pulled out his arms, and covered his eyes. He also shook again, and two legs raised the shell. He was a sight to behold.

Igor, Corin, and Alan backed away, and bowed very low.

"I awake," the Chelon spoke. "Now, let us begin."

OK, I hope that this story is off to a good start. Pardon if some parts may feel awkward, but I hope that the main content is set in stone.

I deliberately made some details vague, so that I can change them as I go. I am a fan of being able to change some aspects of the story, depending on what I want to do. For Amphibia fans, you can tell that this feels very different.

I titled the story as an "Amphibia AU / Spin-off," because I believe that it is both. It obviously is an AU that I have invented officially (if nobody else made it). However, I realize that it is also a sort of spin-off, because I feature new characters.

So, wish me well, and I pray that you all be safe during these crazy times.
