CHAPTER 1

Its been a couple of days since Evelyn had her vision dream and went to her favorite bar to forget the stress and fear that she had bottled up. Rumbling in the distance broke Evelyn from her thoughts as she looked out her store window and saw the storm clouds slowly creeping its way into town. 'Ta ta ta looks like rain,' she sadly smiled to herself. With that she went back to her work until she heard the front door open from the bell she had attached and in walked her best friend since she moved to this town. "Hey Mikey!"

"How do you know it's me every single time," he asked?

"You should know the answer to that question by now," Evelyn Exclaimed.

"I know I know its my beautiful aura. So how are we feeling today Evie?"

"Same old same old, but nothing that a little bit of girl talk can't cure," she smirked. Mikey smiled and both friends dove into conversations about boys and life to take Evie's mind off of things.

(IN OTHER PLACES)

On the other side of town sat the King of the Crossroads sipping on a glass of craig while looking out the window of his penthouse at the Crowne Plaza. "Well my little bird looks like I finally found you and now there's nowhere for you to go," Crowley smirked to himself. Demons and Gypsies have always been at each other's throats since the dawn of time, but the LaCharite line have always been a pain in his ass ever since he came across that damn woman, Madame Claudette. The little bird looked remarkably like her ancestor to the point that it drove him crazy. But he needed something from the gypsy girl and once he got what he needed then he could leave and get the sight of her out of his mind. But while he was in town he may as well have a little fun with the girl. With that Crowley filled his glass up again and watched the storm roll on in while calculating his game plan on him conquering hell and becoming king.

Night fell and Evelyn was home safe and sound in her flat above her store enjoying a cup of herbal tea when her cell phone rang. "Hello Bobby how can I be of assistance this time?"

"Well hello to you too Eve," Bobby greeted. "Hey can you come out to help me and the idjits with a personal situation? I can't go into too much detail but I figured you would be one of the few people we can trust to help us out." This got Evelyn's curiosity, Bobby never called for personal favors in all the years that she knew him. Sure when he needed information he always just came out and said it instead of beating around the bush. Which was one of the many qualities that she liked about the man including saving her ass on a couple of occasions when she used to hunt or when things went bump in the night around her neighborhood. "Bobby as much as I love hearing your voice and you know I don't mind helping you and the boys when you need it. But what exactly is going on and why per say do you need my expertise? Can't exactly help if I don't have the whole story here or know if I can assist if I don't know exactly what is going on."

Bobby took a moment when he realized he couldn't pull a fast one on the girl. With a sigh, "Long story short Sammy died and Dean being the idjit that he is sold his soul to a crossroad demon to bring Sammy back. We figured if anyone could help track down said demon that has his contract or help keep him safe with everything going on it would be you. So Evie is there anything that you can do for my boys?"

Eve sat wide eyed on what she heard. She couldn't believe or comprehend that Dean would be that stupid or stoop that low to go to a demon but not just any demon but a damn crossroads demon and sell his soul. Those soul thirsty assholes who greedily grant any idiot their wish in exchange for their soul. Then send those nasty deranged hounds from hell to collect once your ten years where up. But then again she remembered what her grandmamma told her when she was just a little girl, "Evie remember everything has a price to be paid. Eventually it'll come back to you in three times fold if you aren't careful." Evelyn headed those words since when she practiced her magic and charms. She always warned people when they came to her for help, help to heal their broken hearts from cheating exes and to have them suffer how they suffer. Or when they asked her to put curses on others. Everything always had a price and you had to be willing to suffer the consequences when it came back. Evelyn knew the boys for a while now and knew that both brothers were stubborn and would gladly do anything for the other even if it was putting their lives on the line. "Evie are you still there?"

With a deep breath to bring her back down to earth, "Yeah Bobby I'm still here. Let me grab some things that we may need and pack my satchel and I'll be on the road within the hour. Tell those idiots to try and not get into any more trouble than they already are in and I will see you boys soon."

Bobby laughed, "Can't promise much with that but we will see you soon. Stay safe!"

"Always!"

After her phone call with Bobby Evelyn quickly packed her satchel with a couple pairs of clothes and went to her private collection of books and items that were handed down to her from generations long pass. Or stuff she picked up while hunting before finally settling down to her current location. It wasn't normal for gypsies to stay at a spot or location for long periods of time due to their job and responsibility of riding the world of monsters and demons, but some families wanted to fit in and Eve wanted exactly that. She was tired of moving around and having to constantly check her back. Evelyn wanted to eventually have a family one day and being on the road was no way to raise a child, she learned that from moving around from place to place. Once she picked some books she thought that may help along with some herbs and talismans she headed down to her shop to put up a sign stating closed due to family emergency. After everything was in order she hopped into her 56 Chevy Bel Air and headed out to her destination.

Eighteen hours later with a couple of bathroom breaks in between she finally pulled into the familiar driveway of Bobby Singer and got out to stretch her legs. When she left it was night time and when she arrived it was night, 'kind of ironic' she thought. She always felt more comfortable at night and was considered more of a night person than day. Evelyn grabbed her bags and made her way to the porch to knock on the door. Once she knocked she waited for someone to open up for her. She was met with a pair of green eyes and dark hair belonging to non-other than Dean Winchester. "Hello Dean long time no see huh?"

Dean blinked twice and looked at the auburn hair beauty standing in front of him that caught him off guard for a moment before realization hit him. "Hey Evie your looking good as always," smiling at the girl. Eve laughed and walked in once Dean moved over to give her plenty of room to enter. She made her way in and entered what would have been living room but was converted to an office for the hunter. Books, symbols and items lined the room and it felt like home away from home. "Hey Bobby! Hey Sammy! Miss me?"

(BACK IN BATON ROUGE LOUISIANA)

A certain demon walked along Sky Ave and stood in front of "Mystic Moon's Magic & Book Shop" and frowned when he noticed that is was closed and saw a white piece of paper taped neatly on the front door. He walked up to the door and saw that the sign said "Closed Due to a Family Emergency! Will Reopen Soon Sorry for the Inconvenience!" Crowley growled and closed his eyes for a moment to calm himself down. That's when Crowley glanced up and smiled and thought to himself 'no worries let's take a look around the apartment and see where could my little bird fly off too.' After looking around to make sure no human was around Crowley tried appearing into her apartment and nothing happened. A confusing look appeared on his face for a moment before he tried again. Nothing once again happened with that Crowley walked up the stairs to her door and noticed a seal in between the door handle and the deadbolt to keep demons and other entities out. "Smart little gypsy." With that Crowley walked down the steps and summoned one of his demons to him. "Now listen here, I want you to watch this place and you tell me when that gypsy gets back do you understand?"

"Yes sir!"

"Good." With that Crowley disappeared until his little bird decided to come back home.
