The quiet before the storm was basically the motto Brooke described her days, especially the mornings. The Baker household was usually a mess by the time breakfast was through, and she would still have laundry, dishes, and basic household needs before the shifts at the cafe, and checking in on her employees over at Baker Man. As she laid there staring at the clock and watching the light creepy through the curtains, the storm would begin until bedtime when she would have a chance to sit and relax. Yet, if anyone were to ask her how she handles double the trouble of three year old boys, she wouldn't change it for the world. Aside from Peyton, Brooke had a pretty lonely childhood and she was more than thrilled that her kids wouldn't ever experience that.

"What's wrong Brooke, you're thinking pretty loudly over there." Julian mumbled next to her. She grinned and turned over. "Just thinking how grateful I am to have my boys." She said, the two of them sharing a kiss. "With the boys at daycare and it being your day off, you going to spend it working on that mystery pile of sketches taking up the table?" "Actually, yes. I'm just about finished with them and I promise our dining room will be back to normal." The truth was, she had an office in their home. More than enough room, but Brooke had kept it empty for a reason. She had been praying on just one more child for them, and they been trying for the last year with about as much luck as they had before Jude and Davis had been born. She would never admit out loud just how terrible it felt to not have that come true, but she stayed grateful for her babies and her amazing husband and never complained about not being able to conceive again. "Don't rush on my account. I love seeing you so happy with designing. Happy wife, happy life, isn't that how the phrase goes?" "It sure is." At that, she pulled back the sheets and slid into her slippers before heading out to the nursery.

She found Jude sitting up in his toddler bed playing with a race car, while Davis was still asleep. "You ready for breakfast baby boy?" She said, as she opened up one of the wardrobes for their outfits of the day. "Momma you want to play?" He held out the car to her. "We can play later on, okay?" He nodded and put the car down. She woke Davis , and the trio headed out of the bedroom to the kitchen. Julian had gotten up and started on their breakfasts; pancakes for the boys, coffee and muffins for himself and Brooke and had the breakfast bar all ready to go by the time she had them settled and ready to eat.

Dishes aside, she had them ready and out the door to daycare, and Julian was off to work before she returned home to clean up and start back on the rest of the designs.

As she sketched the final touches on the last dress and fixed up any last minute changes to the tuxes, she flipped through and added her signature to the ends before placing them back into her portfolio. "Too perfect." She said to herself. She filled the rest of her morning with the house clean up, and a few things on the clothing website before finally flopping down onto the couch. "At least it's all done for the day." Mumbling to no one in particular. She started flipping through channels, not paying much attention to them before she was hit with the worst case of nausea. Bolting for the sink, afraid she wouldn't make it to either bathroom, she lost her breakfast. After a few minutes, she leaned against the counter, wide eyed. 'No...it couldn't be.' She thought to herself. She had pulled out her phone and did a bit of math and flung her hand to her mouth. With all the stress the last week and a half, she couldn't believe she had missed it, the fact that she was late. She was never late. Right away she was on the phone with her doctor. Luckily enough he could squeeze her in that afternoon before anyone came home. She thanked them and was off to get ready, the excitement overpowering her thoughts. She could really be pregnant again, finally!
