I think I'm starting to become a shut-in. The signs are all there, even Lu said so. I spend the majority of my free time in my room, I study, I experiment and I do weird things there(talking with my self). The only time I go out is when I have to.

But that's not important. I can use magic. Magic. To be able to alter and break the laws of physics is awesome. That why I dedicated myself to see and explore past my limits. Master was surprised when I asked her to teach me everything she knows, whether it's magic, fighting I'm already doing that but okay or using weapons.

Which got me in a hellish training program. Now I spar with Anzu and Ray weekly, practice magic, train with swords and try to get along with Lu everyday. And in the brink of an eye a month passed.

PRESENT

"...Magic has been around for millennium, it's the power born by researching about the Devil's Demonic Power which also became a power that humans can control." Master explained, "While there exist various different types of magic with different equations including the magic that Gods use, it is said that the majority of magic that is used by the ordinary Magicians are those created by the Great Magician Merlin Ambrosius which involved reading the flow."

"Then what about the spells I've been using? There wasn't any equation and I wasn't reading the flow," I inquired writing down what she said. "I was just chanting what you told me... and releasing whatever you said was inside me."

"They are spells that I created. They are used by intervening and changing the runes and equations."

Master held out her hand and a magic circle apeared, "Roar." releasing a strong, focused gust of wind. I was in awe, because she did it without the original chant, as expected of master.

THAT IS ONE HELL OF A WITCH.

"Now you will be learning the spells that I gave you, on your own, in your own way. I don't believe you can do it-"

Oh hell nah, did she just?

Yep, she did.

"That's a lot of faith you have in me there, master." I sarcasticly cut her sentence, which earned me a glare.

"-Prove me wrong."

"Isn't that what I am best at, master." I couldn't hide my grin, afterall I love it when I am right.

Aren't you overdoing it?

No, I have to know what's going to happen if I change the way runes are used. Otherwise I wouldn't be learning the limit of the spell. Now just sit and watch.

"Spirit of lightning take heed, and paralyze with your electric shock."

The lightning turned the target to ashes, and there was a 10m distance between me and the target. It was slightly uncontrollable.

I take back whatever I said. That was awesome.

I know, I'm awesome.

I have to admit it but you're talented, extremely talented and crazy. If you polish yourself in a few years you will be dangerous, and that is fucking amazing. You just have to make sure you don't fucking die.

I wasn't expecting that, but thank you. Now let's go back to training!

"Huh? What do you mean." I asked in confusion.

Well, it was morning when you started now it's night time. And the only break you took was when twin tails brought you lunch.

"I still don't understand."

You're rushing like you don't have time, when she clearly didn't give you a deadline. It like your preparing for a fight.

"Oh, it's because it's DxD. I only remember random things and the main characters. Also, the power balance in this world is broken and I don't know when canon is going to begin." I continued, "That's why I have to get stronger so that I don't get squished like a bug."

That's actually make a lot of sense.

"I know, it's a well thought plan."

"Hey!"

After my talk with Lu I took a bath and ate something. Taking the hallway leading to my room, I found Ray standing in front of my door in her pyjamas.

"Hey, Ray!" I called her. She didn't even react. Well that's new, usually she would be jumping around like and excited puppy.

"Um..Ray? Are you okay?" Still no answer.

I grabbed her shoulder and turned her to face me. Her eyes were glazed and unfocused and she was breathing softly. Is she sleep walking or something?

The moment I let go of her, she started walking in my room, collapsing when she reached my bed.

Well there goes my sleep tonight.

I sat on the floor and started writing the results of the spells I did. I have to make it extremely detailed so that Master could teach me more, and for me to be able experiment a bit. I wonder how many spells she knows.

Moments later someone knocked on my door, it was already midnight, but it sure felt like minutes.

"Are you awake?" It was Anzu., her tone was serious like always.

"Yes."

"Did you see Ray?"

"She's asleep on my bed. You don't have to worry about her." I said opening the door.

"Is that so?" There was something in her tone that I couldn't understand, it was amusement. "Then I will take her off your hands."

"Go ahead. Anything else you need?"

"Get some rest. You and I will go out tomorrow, master orders." She said carrying Ray in her arms.

"Roger that."

Anzu woke me up at the crack of dawn. Told me to wear something light and dragged me out of the house.

"So where exactly are we going?" I asked.

"We're going to find someone." She said with her usual 'don't mess with me' tone.

"Okay, but who are we searching for?"

"Lev."

That's really obvious. Like I know who's Lev.

"Who the heck is Lev?"
