Hello and welcome to another experimental fanfic of Boku no Hero Academia, in which a new inspiration popped into my head in an unexpected way, as I happened to come across a website where English-patched Sega Dreamcast games are available for download. As I was scrolling for games to download as I recently purchased a smartphone, I found out that I could download and install a Dreamcast emulator, and I can download Dreamcast ROMS provided that it is in CDI format, and as I came across a site, I found out that some Playstation 2 games have been converted into CDI files.
Among the games is King Of Fighters XI, and since downloading the game I was able to play it, and out of curiosity, I researched the game on the wiki site and learned that the supposed main character, Ash Crimson, has pyrokinetic power, which is quite similar to the one possessed by Endeavor.
Then an idea came to my head as I decided to use Ash as an antithesis to the main heroes, namely Midoriya and Bakugo, and since this is a MHA fic, I will incorporate that into this story though only characters involved with Ash will appear here (like Elizabeth Blachforte, etc.) while having his background tied with a certain villain within the MHA universe…
Well then, read on and enjoy!
Ch. 1: Atarashī hīrō no gakusei ga tōjō shimashita
Tokyo.
On their way back from their final provisional license training, Shoto and Katsuki notice the commotion as they ride past in a car with All Might. Since there are no heroes around, the two students decide to take charge of the thieves.
"Look."
"Huh?"
"A group of villains…"
"Oh yeah…finally…"
"No cops around. We better respond."
"Heh. Sounds good to me."
"You know what to do, Bakugo?"
"You don't have to tell me, thermometer boy."
All Might tries to dissuade them since they've only just earned their provisional licenses, but they pay no heed and attack the villains nonetheless, making use of their new privileges.
While the two heroes approach the villains, All Might directs the civilians away from the battle scene.
Bakugo and Todoroki arrive on the scene to confront a gang of villains who stole belongings from innocent bystanders. While the two heroes approach the wannabe villains, All Might directs the civilians away from the battle scene. Shoto tells the villains that they shouldn't steal people's belongings and forms a giant ice wall to block off any means of escape for the villains.
However, the gang's leader, identified as Cider House, easily breaks through Todoroki's ice with his carbonation control Quirk. The leader proceeds to explain that his group had studied the area's patrol patterns in preparation for their robbery and that they are determined to not be stopped by high school students.
His cohorts echoed their leader's sentiment.
"Yeah!"
"That's right!"
"You can't stop us!"
"You won't stop us!"
"You are just brats in diapers!"
"We'll pull off a successful heist!"
"So go JACK OFF and get lost!"
"And scram!"
The leader calls for his gang to run away. However, Bakugo is able to catch up with them and began to strike down the fodders, knocking down several of the gang members as they flee. The leader is shocked by Bakugo's capabilities. There Bakugo told the group leader to surrender, but the villain refuses and made it clear that he will not be captured by a mere high school brat.
"You won't stop me!"
"Sure I will!"
"You'll never will!"
"Tell that to my fists!"
"Go home and masturbate!"
"You'll regret those words!"
"Get lost!"
"Not a chance!"
However, the villain is able to fend off Katsuki by using high powered jets of carbonated liquid from his gauntlets. The leader notes that his gauntlets are too strong. He slips and falls from the blow back sending a stream of carbonate crashing into a lightpole. An astonished bystander tries to take a picture of the snowy scene as the lightpole falls down causing All Might to save her. Bakugo blows up the lightpole so that it doesn't hit the bystander and All Might.
Bakugo asked All Might if the woman is unharmed, which All Might assured that she is okay.
"All Might! Is she…?"
"She's okay!"
"You sure?"
"Yes!"
"No bruises or…"
"Not to worry. She's completely unharmed!"
"Damn it…"
"Do not worry."
A pissed off Bakugo reprimands the woman for her careless actions, though All Might told him to focus on stopping the fleeing villain as he will look after the bystander.
"Go, Bakugo-shounen!"
"But…"
"Stop the villain!"
"…"
"Don't worry about her!"
"Grr…fine."
"Go on…"
"…"
The villain leader is slowly getting desperate as he is slowly losing his chances of making an escape, and there he saw a startled pregnant passerby nearby and he immediately grabbed her, and intend to use her as a shield to fend off Bakugo, and the blond-haired teen is forced to stop his chase upon seeing the situation.
Todoroki joins in and is now weighing in on what to do next, seeing that they cannot afford to let harm come to the unborn child inside the woman's womb, and there the villain leader told the two teens to back off or else the woman will suffer a miscarriage.
"Okay, you hero brats…!"
"…"
"…"
"Stay where you are!"
"…"
"…"
"Make a move and she's done for!"
"…"
"…"
All Might came and saw the situation, and he advised the two boys not to act rash, pointing out that the safety of the pregnant woman is the top priority and it would be a worse case scenario if anything happens to the woman and her unborn child.
"Calm down, you two."
"…"
"…"
"Don't rush. Think of this as part of the remedial course you took…"
"Yes, All Might…"
"I know…"
"Wait for an opportunity…saving the woman and her child is vital…"
"Understood…"
"Hmph."
The villain leader is bidding his time as he needed a way to escape without letting the two Class 1-A members getting the chance to strike and he needed to keep them back from following him, and knew that holding the hostage would be his only option at the moment.
Suddenly someone appeared beside the villain and scooted closer to him. It was a an effeminate 16 year old French boy, who's haughty, competent, and a bit creepy. He sports a light red body suit with darker red trim flames around the wrists and ankles, a matching jacket, white boots, and a belt.
His hair is long and done in a feminine style that often covers his eyes and is somewhat held back by a hair band.
The teen boy asked the villain leader if he needed any help and is willing to aid his escape, which the villain felt a glimmer of hope and readily accept anything as long as he could escape from the pro heroes no matter what.
"So what do you say…?"
"Anything's fine!"
"Really?"
"Really!"
"And you won't regret it?"
"I won't! Just as long as I get away!"
"Then we have a deal?"
"Sure, French boy!"
Bakugo and Todoroki wondered what is going on, as they didn't expect a foreigner to show up, and now they suspect that the foreign teen is intending to aid the villain, as the scene shows that the teen boy is whispering instructions towards the woman, in a frightening way, which the villain assume that the teen boy is helping him.
The teen boy whispered to the woman to close her eyes, which she did, and there the teen boy revealed his Quirk, which appeared to be pyrokinetic, as if almost similar to that of Dabi, though the flames are colored green and with a snap of his fingers, the teen boy produced a SPARK which seemingly harmed the villain as he was momentarily blinded.
This caused the villain to release his hostage, and as the pregnant woman ran away, the teen boy began to beat down the villain, as the villain cursed the teen boy for deceiving him and vowed to make him pay for what he did.
"Blast you!"
"Hmm…?"
"You tricked me!"
"So? It's your fault for falling…"
"You'll pay! I swear I'll make you pay!"
"Sorry, I'm broke at the moment…"
"Curse you!"
"…"
As the villain tries to fight back using his Quirk, he is still disoriented due to being temporarily blinded, and the teen boy toyed with Cider House a bit as he uses a fighting style that mixes acrobatics and a bit of street fighting, which the villain is being pummeled like silly.
Cider House screamed as he began to act recklessly as he tries to use his Quirk around him in an effort to try hitting his target, and Todoroki realized that Cider House might end up hitting someone as he couldn't see his target, and Bakugo noted that the teen foreigner doesn't seem to know what he is doing as he appeared to enjoy toying his opponent.
"That guy…!"
"What a show-off…"
"He shouldn't toy with that villain!"
"Tell that to him!"
"If that foreigner keeps this up, someone might get hurt!"
"Hmph, guess we should cut in and tie that villain up…"
"I'm in…we better get there!"
"Whatever…"
Seeing that things might get out of hand, the teen foreigner decided to end things here as he did a pyrokinetic blast using his right hand and the blast struck the villain on the face, and the impact is strong enough to knock him out, sending him backwards before hitting ground.
The teen foreigner rubbed his hands as he felt good about his recent actions, and as Todoroki uses his ice Quirk to bind the unconscious Cider House, Bakugo confronted the teen foreigner and asked him if he know what he has gotten himself into, telling him about the laws on using Quirks in Japan, which the teen foreigner smiled while saying he do.
"You do…?"
"Yes I do."
"Do you have any idea what you're getting yourself into?"
"I do."
"Grr…are you toying with me?"
"I do."
"Do you want to die?"
"I do…not."
Todoroki noticed that the teen foreigner appeared to be of European descent, and seeing that he used his Quirk on Cider House so confidently, Todoroki sensed something and asked the teen foreigner if he is a pro hero in training, which the teen boy confirm.
He revealed his provisional hero license and revealed that he has been living in Japan for several months, and introduces himself as Ash Crimson, and revealed that he underwent internship from a pro hero and studied at a hero school within Tokyo.
Moreover, Ash revealed that he saw Todoroki's match against Bakugo at the recent UA Sports Festival and admitted that he enjoyed it and said that Bakugo caught his eye and said that he is looking forward to team up with Bakugo and another UA student boy with green hair whose Quirk would injure himself, like the one Todoroki fought at the semifinals of the UA Sports Festival.
Todoroki sensed that Ash is talking about Midoriya, and Bakugo glared at Ash as he didn't like how the teen foreigner act so smugly. By then pro hero Slidin' Go arrived and thanked the teens for the help as police arrived to take Cider House and his gang away.
Ash waved his hands as he took his leave whilst Todoroki watched him leave, as he have a feeling that the encounter with Ash is something not to be taken lightly, whilst Bakugo has his eye on Ash, but not in a positive way.
