Chapter. 61
The world returned to normal as everyone came back, reeling from the phantom pain. Vincent fell to the ground and Rebecca kneeled beside him. "V!" Vincent clinched his teeth as he clutched his arms.
"I can't imagine that kind of pain." Said Levi as she rubbed her wounds.
"Let's get out of here." Lyle slowly guided Vincent to his feet. "I'll drive you all home."
"Thank you." Rebecca took a hold of Vincent arm and helped him walk to Lyle's truck.
When the group reach the truck Vincent removed his arms from Lyle and Rebecca, staggering before he stood on his own.
"Steady." Lyle kept his hands out.
"I'm fine. Damn it burns."
"You were on the floor curled up in pain. Now's not the time to act tough Vincent." Said Corina. Vincent walked to the truck door and opened it. Rebecca helped him into it.
Levi climbed into the back seats with Vincent and Rebecca while Corina jumps into the passenger seat. Lyle revved up his truck and drove off.

The first stop was Rebecca's house. Lyle pulled over and everyone climbed out.
Rebecca helped Vincent get out. "Can you walk V?"
"I can try. Thanks." Vincent took a deep breath and walked to the front door. Rebecca opened to door to let everyone inside.
Vincent, Rebecca, and Corina took a seat on the sofa. Levi claimed an arm chair while Lyle took another. Levi stretched her arms up. "So let's go over what we just saw. Catherine is losing her mind, We didn't get our meeting with Jade, and we now have a psycho player coming at us."
"All in all not a good day." Lyle sighed.
Corina leaned back grinned. "I'm not scared. We know how to beat'em."
Levi turned to Corina. "What about in one on one?" Corina's grin faded. "Yeah. So what do we do now?" Silence filled the room.
"We fight." Everyone looked to Vincent. "It's all we can do. The prick comes for us again then our only option is to fight."
"I agree!" Said Corina. Lyle only nods.
Levi Groans. "It's not our only option here. We can just join up with another legion. Crunching numbers-"
Everyone heard a car pull up to the front of the house. Corina and Lyle ran to the window to see a van out front. The driver door opened to reveal Catherine.
"Catherine's here!" Everyone ran to the windows to see.
The van doors opened and several teenagers climbed out while Catherine waved her finger and Vincent got a phone call. "The fuck do you want?!"
"I told you Vinny, I'll do anything to take care of you. Even if it means running your life. Now here's what's going to happen. You're going to walk out and come with me, otherwise all of my friend here will make sure everyone around you will get a one way trip to the ER. Be smart Vinny."
"Go to hell thot." Vincent hung up. "They're coming in, ready to kick some ass?"
Lyle cracked his knuckles. "Always."
Rebecca waved her hand and locked the door. "They're not getting in that was." The people outside approached the front door. Catherine found it was locked and stepped back and too a moment to use her linker. A message appeared in front of Rebecca. "A search warrant?!"
Catherine Laughed to herself and waved her hand. The front door unlocked and opened. "Get in there and rough'em up! Then I'll teach you all the incarnate system!" Catherine's followers rushed through the door.
Three of the invaders rushed at Lyle, Lyle put up his fists and punched the first one in the face, sending them sliding back. The second grabbed Lyle's arm and punched him in the chest. Lyle swung his arm and used the second attacker to strike the third, as the went down Lyle slammed his fist down on the one holding his arm to make them let go and fall. The third pushed himself up and Lyle took a hold of his hair, Lyle punched him in the face twice then threw him out the front door. The first attacker sat up just in time for Lyle to punch them in the jaw to knock them out.
Another three that came in aimed to take on Vincent, one of them threw a punch at him. Vincent Raised his arm to block then punched the attack in the throat. Another ran around Vincent and wrapped her arm around his neck. Vincent grabbed her arm and threw hurled the attacker out the window. The third tackled Vincent and shoved him into a wall Vincent struke the attacker in the groin with his knee then tossed then down, on the ground Vincent kicked him in the side of the head to knock them out.
Two of Catherine's followers circled around the boys and went straight for Levi who stood perfectly still. The fighter rushed for a punch but Levi kick him in the side of his right knee, as he stumbled Levi punched him in the side of the head to send him to the floor. The second one came at Levi from her left side, as their arm extended for a punch Levi raised her arm to clash into the attacker's, stopping his attack and extended her own arm to strike him in the face. The first attacker stood up and charged at Levi. Levi ducked their arm and kicked him in the back of knee, Levi wrapped her arm around his neck and choked them out.
Two more of the invaders went the other way round Vincent and Lyle to find Corina waiting for them who gave them the hand gesture for 'bring it'. The first one tried a wide swung of her arm, Corina dropped under the attack and placed her hand on the ground as a balance when kicked off to swing both of her feet into her opponent, hitting her in the head and chest. As the first attacked staggered back the second moved in ti fight with his fist reeled back and threw it forward. Corina dodged as as the attacker moved pasted her, he swung his elbow to get her but Corina cartwheeled to dodge again. As Corina stood on her hands she wrapped her legs around the invader's neck and slammed them into the floor. The girl rushed at Corina and wrapped her arms around her head then kneed her in the chest. As the girl tried again Corina kicked her in the ankle, the girl was losing her balance and loosened her hold on Corina who punched her in the chest then an uppercut to the jaw, Corina cartwheeled away, kicking the girl in the jaw to put her down.
The last of Catherine's followers got through the mess and went straight for Rebecca, shoving her down by the fireplace. The attacker raised his fist then brought it down to her face, Rebecca dodge the attack and reaching for anything near her. Grabbing a fireplace shovel Rebecca swung it into the side of her attacker's head, cutting their ear. The aggressor rolled off of Rebecca with his hands on the wound. Rebecca grabbed the attacker by his shirt and arm then threw him into the wall next to the fireplace to knock him out.
As the fighting ended Vincent moved to Rebecca, taking her hand to pull her up. When Rebecca was back on her feet a load bang echoed through the house. Everyone turned to Catherine who held a gun now pointed at Vincent. Lyle stood in front of Corina while Levi froze.
Vincent took a step to Catherine who raised her gun so it shot over him. "Stay right there!" Catherine leveled her gun to point at Vincent again. "This is all you're fault! All you had to do was listen to only me! I would've made you strong, a god among men! No, no you had to be poisoned by her!" Catherine turned her gaze to Rebecca. "If you never showed up he would've been mine! Chrome Disaster would've been mine!"
"What's Chrome Disaster?" Asked Vincent.
"It's okay now. It'll all be okay now. Mommy's here to take care of you, I'll take care of you and remove all the poison." Catherine pointed her gun at Rebecca.
"Physical burst!" Vincent slowed time and ran to shield Rebecca. Rebecca's body tensed as she shut her eyes.
Catherine shot twice then was tackled by Lyle, Lyle pressed Catherine's head into the floor and held her right arm behind her back. The gun slid along the ground and Corina kicked it farther away.
Rebecca opened her eyes to see she wasn't her and Vincent stood in front of her. "V?" Vincent fell the ground, blood pouring out off two holes through both his arms and from two wounds in his chest. "V!"
"Levi! Call 911!" Shouted Corina. "Levi?!" Levi entire body shook, she dropped to her knees with her hands over her ears screaming. Corina waved her hand and called for an ambulance.
