Things were only going to get worse if Kimberly didn't get Tommy away from the situation. His words were still ringing in her ear as he presented himself as her husband. There was something quite thrilling at how possessive he was even after all of this time. However, that doesn't mean it didn't still piss her off having him show off in front of her. She didn't want to make a scene, but she should have known better when it came to Tommy Oliver. Subtle was never in his vocabulary.

His arm fit securely around Kimberly's waist, but she was leading the way. She brought him to her private room, the one that starting this whole mess the night before.

All eyes had been on them, a fact that wasn't welcomed when they were trying to go unnoticed. Jerry obviously was nowhere to be found. Where else could he have gone to?

Kimberly let Tommy enter the private room first and she closed the door behind her, securing them inside until everything died down outside. The bouncer would handle the mess they created, that's why he was there.

Tommy could feel the heat creeping up again as he stared at the sole chair in the room. The one that nearly drove him out of his damn mind a few hours earlier. He could still feel the weight of her body on his lap, seducing him in a way that wasn't anything but sinful. That Tommy Oliver was a fool that didn't know that a storm was coming after him.

The former pink ranger brushed past Tommy and went over towards the door reserved for the dancers. The knob didn't budge, signaling that it was locked from the other side. Damn.

Tommy swallowed upon realizing they were stuck inside for the time being. Being with Kimberly and having no way out didn't exactly work out the way it was supposed to last time.

"Do you want to sit down?" He turned to Kimberly who had her forehead buried into the palm of her hand.

She looked up as her eyes narrowed. There was a fire building inside of her, "Why the hell would you do that?"

The venom in her words were like a verbal slap. Tommy didn't even get a chance to answer. God, she would be the death of him.

"He's a client," She fired quickly.

Oh, boy. He almost couldn't even believe his own ears. She was kidding, right?

"That doesn't mean I'm going to let him put his hands on you," He scoffed, his hands falling to his hips, "You were about to do it yourself!"

"But that's me!" She fumed, coming to face him, "He's one of mine!"

His tongue rolled in his mouth, "What!?"

Was that supposed to make it better? Did that give that man the right to sexually assault her because he paid her? What the fuck was she even talking about? Why did she think so little of herself that she was able to put up with this abuse?

"Don't you get it?" She shook her head, a knot building in her throat, "Next time he sees me he'll give me more, maybe triple... but now? You ruined me."

He couldn't shake the bitter taste in his mouth. Who even was she?

Tommy turned away from her, a frustrated hand running down his face, "Is it all this is, huh? For money? Is that all you want?"

She couldn't speak. The tears in her eyes filling to the brim, threatening to spill.

"Answer me!" He commanded, turning back to face her, "Is this what I couldn't give you?" He took out his wallet, pulling out more cash than he remembered having. He offered it to her, but she could only stare at him. "Is this why you left me? Because I couldn't give you the fucking life you wanted?"

He still didn't get it. He would never understand.

Kimberly let the tears gently fall down her cheeks, she didn't care anymore. "You're the biggest idiot I've ever met!"

She turned back towards the door, her fists pounding on it in hope that someone could hear her. Tommy went after her, pulling her towards him until she was securely in his arms.

She fought to get free of his grasps, but he was too strong, and in all honestly, she didn't put up too much of a fight. Being in his arms felt as naturally as breathing.

He cupped her face, his thumbs gently wiping away the stray tears, "You can have all of the money in the world, but there's still one thing that I can give you that it can't."

"What?" She whispered.

He swallowed, staring directly at her tender lips, "Love you."

Why was it so hard for her to accept that he would love her the way she deserved? That even after everything they had been through in the few short hours, he felt a stronger pull to her than he ever had with Katherine.

"Don't," She pushed her arms against his chest, disentangling herself from him, "Don't make this harder on yourself."

"Why do you shut me out?" He returned, his voice just as loud as hers, "I'm being honest with you. Tell me what you fucking did that makes you think you deserve this life!" He searched her eyes for answers, but all he saw was a lost girl, "Tell me!"

"I did!" she bellowed at the top of her lungs, her fists pounding at his chest, "I told you everything yesterday. Why do you think we're in this mess in the first place? If you forgot then it's not my problem."

Tommy took her fists in his hands, stopping her from moving them any further. He brought her to him, her head gently cradled in his hands, offering her the hug he knew she desperately needed. The streets had hardened the girl he used to know.

"What did you— we do?" He corrected, feeling a wave of emotions of his own rolling in, "Who is Vinny and why is he after us?"

Having to tell him again is just torture. His response the night before after revealing everything was just as she expected… pointless. He had been too drugged to know which way was up and which way was down. The fact that they had been in imminent danger had been too fucking hilarious for them to function properly. All he and the guys could say was that they were the new cast of Ocean's Eleven.

"He's the mob leaders son… you and Jason beat him at poker last night," Kimberly told him. She could feel him trembling beneath her touch, "Vinny doesn't lose, he never loses."

The game of who would be stupid enough to bet their life away had been a byproduct of Rocky and Billy's drug. There was something about whatever the fuck they had consumed that made them feel nearly invincible. They said and did what they wanted.

Vinny saw them as easy money, but he had severely underestimated the hands that Tommy and Jason could bring. Kimberly had tried to drag them away, but she was no match for a group of idiots like her old friends.

"You guys took that money and paid Jerry off so that I could have enough time to get out of Vegas before they found me."

Tommy didn't like the sound of that. There was more to it and she was holding back. "Who's they? Vinny?"

No. They.

He found her lack of response troublesome.

"Kim… who's they?" He tried again, his heart picking up.

She ignored his question, unable to tell him who the big dog in this whole situation really was, "Zack thought it would be funny to take his car too... I'm sure that's how he found us."

"How much money did we win?" He asked, almost afraid of what her answer would be.

She paused, feeling her own heart tremble in her throat. Gently, she whispered, "Half a million dollars."

Tommy's whole body went numb, his own legs nearly giving out as he stumbled back in an attempt to regain his balance. He didn't have that kind of money. He was getting paid pennies with Anton Mercer. It didn't pay well enough for even the Vegas trip.. that was all Katherine and her parents.

No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

This couldn't be happening.

"I have to get that money back," Kimberly mumbled, her teeth biting hard on her lip, "I know Vinny will kill you. He's killed people for less."

Kimberly looked up at him, hating that she was the ultimate cause for getting him in the situation. If she would have just stayed put at the club then they never would have gotten themselves in this mess in the first place. Everything that she was trying to prevent was unraveling right in front of her.

Someone must have heard her banging or even her screams because it looked like someone had finally figured out they were in the private room. Tommy and Kimberly turned to the room reserved for the dancers, it slowly but surely twisting in an attempt to unlock it.

Finally.

What they weren't expecting, however, was a teary eyed Tiffany to open the door, revealing a series of armed men pointing their guns at the 5 former rangers behind her.

Fuck.

Kimberly and Tommy slowly stepped out towards the backroom, the armed men guiding them to the open door that led to the back lot.

"Hi babe," A tall, thin man with slicked back dark hair greeted them. His black suit was perfectly tailored to his body, down to every last stitch. Whatever cologne he was wearing screamed expensive.

Kimberly walked towards him, her teeth grinding inside of her mouth. He found her.

"Hi Vinny," Kimberly said, her voice tight.

Vinny gave a strained smile, "No hug for me today?"

Kimberly didn't move once she got within breathing distance of him. He was toying with her and the rest of the guys in a game she was destined to lose.

The rest of the guys were directed towards the outdoor space as well, each with an assigned gun to the back of their heads. That's how he got his point across. What he didn't have in muscle he made up for with guns. No one would dare challenge him when he walked around with a full arsenal.

"You steal money from me and think that I won't find you?" Vinny gave her a curious glare, his lips scrunching together. What kind of a fool did she take him for? He could smell a thief a mile away.

"I even brought back my car," Vinny gave her a wicked smile, remembering the call he got once they told him they had located his vehicle. He went to Raf's warehouse to pick it up himself and drove it the The Hidden Jewel just time prove a point. "You know Raf has always been a little weasel. Do you want to know how much he squealed when I threatened a knife to his throat?"

Kimberly didn't look up at him, her eyes trained to the distance. They were all screwed. If Vinny was able to threaten Rafael, the one guy she knew was practically untouchable, what's to say she was safe? Or worse, what's to say that he wouldn't go after the guys.

"Vinny," Kimberly started.

"—You know last night was bullshit, right?" Vinny smacked his lips, the rage inside of him building.

Kimberly turned to him, feeling a little fire inside of her still remaining, "You lost a fair game of poker."

"Fair game?" He laughed in her face before turning serious, "I don't lose. That's what makes it fair."

Tommy couldn't exactly speak. He'd lived long enough to know when to shut up. It was Jason he was most nervous about. Jason was an alpha through and through. No one ever threatened him and remained conscious enough to see the next several minutes.

"So you have the 500,000 that you owe me," Vinny turned to Jason, his eyes fueling a fury in the former red ranger.

Jason was as lost as the rest of the guys, minus Tommy and Kimberly. He didn't know what the hell he was talking about. The night before had been a blur.

"You mean the 500,000 that we won," Kimberly interjected.

Vinny laughed again, his teeth a blinding white that gave Kimberly chills.

Vinny didn't even speak. He loved the feistiness in his favorite dancer. Instead of giving her the response he knew she wanted, he gave her the response she deserved.

Reaching into his coat pocket, Vinny did the only logical thing and pulled out his stainless steel Colt 1911. Kimberly was only able to see a flash of it before he pointed it directly at Tommy. Maybe that would help her remember whose it was exactly.

No. She felt the world around her shift.

"Oh, that 500,000," She gulped, the knot inside of her returning, "Of course."

Good.

"So where is it?"

Kimberly stammered, "I gave it to Jerry."

"Wrong answer," Vinny whispered, cocking back his hammer as Tommy put his arms up.

"—But I'll get it for you," she tried her best to deescalate the situation.

Tommy had never been on either side of a gun before. The weapons that they had as rangers may have looked like a gun, but they weren't the same. He could take a guy hand to hand, but this was just unfair. Standing at the wrong end of the barrel just didn't feel right.

The mob leaders son slowly put his arm down before facing Kimberly. He walked over to her, gently tracing the back of her cheek with his left hand, "You know you can just pay me off in other ways."

Kimberly could feel Tommy and Jason simmering in the background as Vinny continued to touch more and more of her. She only hoped that neither of them would do anything stupid that would get themselves killed. She could realistically handle Vinny and his advances. While she didn't exactly like the attention from him, it was something she could control.

When Vinny brought his lips to hers, she knew Tommy was seething. His lips were pressed against hers in an aggressive kiss, deliberately making a scene in front of all of the other guys forced to watch. She didn't participate in his show. She couldn't. It had been nothing like the one she had with Tommy the night before. His lips had been soft and gentle, even if he had been heavily inebriated.. this was just plain wrong, like a 12 year old experiencing their first sloppy kiss.

He released her lips with a loud pop, "There's nothing that I couldn't give you, you know that? Say the word and the world is yours."

Kimberly looked away from him, a sole tear rolling down her cheek, "I don't get involved with my clients.. you know that."

Vinny didn't buy it. "You were pretty cosy that fuck when you were in there," He growled, directing his attention to Tommy.

The former pink ranger remained silent, unable to answer him.

"Okay, let me put it this way, you can come with me or I can just kill every last one of these motherfuckers and take you with me," He tilted his head, his armed hand coming back to a defenseless Tommy, "Your choice, but just know that their blood will be on your hands."

She couldn't let this happen. She couldn't lose them because of her mistake. Even if she never saw them again, she had to know that they were safe and alive. There was no point to the last 8 years of hell if she failed now.

Kimberly walked over to Vinny, her hand gently but deliberately bringing his arm down, "I'll go with you."

He smiled at her, "That's what I want to hear."

It was going to be his funeral once she was done with him. What Vinny didn't know was that he shouldn't underestimate her. Kimberly knew everything there was to know about him, but he knew nothing of who she was, only the lies that she fed him and the rest of the people in her life. They saw her the way she wanted them to see her. That was her plan all along.

"but I want the car…" She told him, her voice a touch of seduction only Tommy had heard before.

"My car?" Vinny lifted a brow, beckoning over to the convertible Kimberly had taken for a joy ride.

"No, my car," She clarified. "You promised me the world, right? Well, I want the car."

If a car was all it took then he was happy to oblige.

"I'll have someone take it to us later, " He nodded.

Vinny brought Kimberlys left hand to his lips, giving it a tender kiss that made her stomach turn.

"What's this?" He motioned to the ring sitting on her finger.

"What," She pulled her hand back, "A girl can't treat herself?"

He inspected the ring, feeling he wasn't hearing the whole story, but he shrugged it off. It's not like it mattered anyway. As far as he was concerned, she was his, and he would kill anyone that would stand in his way of that.

Vinny placed an arm around Kimberly like Tommy had done earlier, leading her out of the back lot and into a black vehicle with dark tinted windows.

"See you later boys," Vinny spat back, a smug smile on his face.
