Chapter 8
The returned to the institution.
Itadori with his arms full of treats and some ramen for later, he was quick to go to his room with the spoils. He was just unpacking everything when he heard a familiar annoying voice. "Don't trust that woman!"
"Huh?"
Sukuna had reared his ugly head… well… mouth on the left side of Yuuji's face. "You have no idea who she is, do you? I know that name well Tooru… don't trust her!"
He slapped the side of his face to hopefully shut him up. But why was he warning him of her? "She's not someone you like huh? Then again, you hate everyone."
The mouth snickered as it formed on his hand. "You at least know that much, boy, but listen good. She comes from a very ancient family, I knew them from before I became what I am! Yet this family has remained secretive… so much so they had kept themselves hidden even from the shaman institutions! There's something about her that is dangerous, I rather not die by her hands if at all…"
"We're both going to die the moment we find the last finger…"
"You still wish to take me down that badly? So much that you will sacrifice what short life you have lived?" he snickered. "I'm flattered,"
"You can shut up now." Yuuji muttered as the mouth vanished once more.
But the bug was in his ear now, what Sukuna said, was it true?
Leaving his room, he decided to see for himself. He threw everything on to his bed before rejoining the others outside. Everyone had come out to see their new guest, and their looks were not something he expected.
"You've done it now Gojo! How did you know one of them was still alive!" demanded principal Yaga.
"Lucky guess?" Gojo said as he shrugged his shoulders playfully. "But we cannot be rude to guest and those from the ancient order, right?"
"Ancient order?" Yuuji whispered.
"I want proof!" Yaga demanded. "Prove to me, she is…"
She reached into her shirt and revealed her necklace. From there Principal Yaga went silent. From what he could see, the pendent, but it appeared like a fang. She was quick to tuck it away once more as the principal became very humble and inviting.
She walked by him without any delay. "Whoa…" he whispered in shock. "I wonder what the ancient order is…"

He went to the library.
Not something he would normally do, but curiosity got the better of him.
He found a few books on ancient orders and gave them a read. There was little to offer until he found the name Tooru. "Tooru, Tooru, Tooru…" he said over and over again until he found a small snippet. There wasn't even much in the books either! "Tooru, one of the oldest family names in the ancient order. Although most of the family has been killed, rumors remain that some members are still alive…"
That was it, nothing more. Not even a shred of info about their curse or ability. "Huh? There has to be more!" he protested and tried to find more information. But there was nothing. Not a single piece indicating the family, explanation or curse abilities. Was that's why they were feared? That there was so little information on them, that not even the shaman of the past knew of their abilities? Or are they just that respected?
He didn't know for sure, but Yua has become someone interesting now. "But, she came all this way to see me, why?" he wondered.

"Miss Tooru, we are more than happy to have you here, but can you please explain… WHY you are here?" Principal Yaga asked.
"Do I need a reason?" she questioned him, but paused as she took out her bloody tissue to cough into. When she settled she glared at him. "We are all here to stop Sukuna are we not? You have made no progress in finding the last finger. So, I came to see if perhaps I could assist in the matter…"
He froze. "You know…" but paused as he glared at Gojo who was now walking off without uttering a word. He was quick to take his students along with him as Yaga was left alone with her. "So, how much do you know?" he asked.
Tooru explained that Gojo has explained everything to her, but she came out of curiosity to the demon vessel. "One in a million, that's what he is isn't he? And it's to be wasted on a demon,"
"What are you talking about!" he protested. "This was the best opportunity we have had to be rid of Sukuna once and for all!"
"Keep telling yourself that," she said. "You and I both know the moment they are killed, part of Sukuna will go into the earth. Every evil spirit or creature we destroy turns to dust, some use it as an opportunity to ensure they can rebuild themselves or even reincarnate. Sukuna knows this, and he can rebuild in a few thousand years or so. It won't completely destroy him, but it will be enough to ensure we won't deal with him in our lifetime again…"
The principal was confused. "You mean to tell me killing Sukuna who is trapped in the kid's body… is a mistake?"
"Not a complete mistake, but enough to make you look stupid," she said bluntly. "The elders are not thinking this through at all, they are just in a rush to kill Sukuna. They are going about it the wrong way,"
Silence befell the two as the Principal glared at her. "You got a better plan?"
"Perhaps," she said offhandedly. "But it has yet to be determined yet, I don't get to make such a call myself, but the boy has impressed me greatly. Just not the other…"
"Other?"
"I said too much, for now show me to my dorm, I need to rest after today."
She was taken to one of the bigger dorm rooms to reside in. When the door closed she let out a sigh of relief and lay on the bed. "Sukuna's power is seeping into his body, and it does so as each day passes. He's slowly working on a way of taking the poor kid's body the moment he get the last of his power back…" she said aloud.
Her hand reached into her pocket, there she felt what she was looking for. "I need to see more of this Yuuji Itadori in action to better understand him. Gojo is very determined to save this boy… I just wonder if it is going to be possible…"
