Chapter 15

The morning was somber.

Yuuji got up and showered, cleaning himself from head to toe for the morning. He felt weird today, and it wasn't because of Sukuna either. His body was just feeling… off.

When he left the shower, he found a pure white kimono waiting for him on the bed. "Guess they want to see the blood…" he said with a sigh. Truth be told, it was one of the softest materials he has ever put on his body, he felt warm and embraced in it, but it would be a shortly lived sensation.

A knock came to the door.

It brought him back to reality rather quickly as it opened without his permission. Sensei Gojo stood there with rope bounded in talismans. "Sorry to do this to you…" he said offhandedly.

"I get it, go ahead sensei…" He turned around and offered his arms. He felt the rope wrap around his wrists tightly, nearly cutting into his hands, but not quite. "Hey… sensei… I really was a student to you, right?" he asked.

"You learned from me didn't you?"

"Yeah but… was I still nothing more than a demon vessel?"

The rope suddenly tightened. "Are you selling yourself short? You have been a very impressive student, and I would have kept teaching you things until you were sick of learning. Does that answer your question?"

He smiled. "Thank you,"

"You don't sound like yourself this morning…"

"I'm about to die, how do you think I feel?" he snapped back, but calmed himself down. "No, I can't be angry. I agreed to this and I will face it with my head held high!" he said defiantly.

Turning around, he saw his teacher smiling proudly. "Always be proud!" he said. "Don't let the elders get to you, keep your bravery to the bitter end"

He was walked out of the room, where two more shaman awaited him. His feet shackled with iron and talismans as well, he was guarded from all sides as he walked out of the dorms for the last time and taken behind the institution.

They were all gathering.

He looked about and made certain to see her. Yua was there front and center yet was given glares by the elders. He was brought into the purifying circle and looked straight ahead. His classmates were here too, watching with worry. Nobara was trying to hide her tears, Fushiguro watched on but was cold to the whole thing.

"Today, we end the life of the king of curses. In doing so, we will take out the greatest threat to all mankind!" one elder announced.

"You speak poorly of those before you," scolded Tau.

Glares were directed at her. "You wish to make the statement then?" he asked of her.

She stood up, Yuuji could see her trembling as she did. But she stood tall and proudly. "You all spew of the same shit." She announced to the other shaman. "You value the ideas of your principles over an innocent life without considering the notion of that person's value to those around them. Many of you see nothing more than a demon vessel. Others see a young man, a friend and brother, a student and confidant… not the demon he is confining for the sake of those around him. His sacrifice to many of you is nothing more than a tear in the ocean. You don't care about the boy who is forced to become a man in his final hours. But I will say this… he is more of a man than ANY of you will ever become!"

Sneers were directed at her, but Yuuji felt proud of her words and stood taller before the masses.

He was ready now.

He turned to her and gave a nod of his head. Reaching into her pocket she took out the last finger from its salt coffin and tossed it into the air. With her ability, she lined it up to ensure it would land in his mouth. The rest was up to him.

He felt the prettified finger hit his tongue, that bitter, rotten taste filled his mouth before he swallowed it down. The moment it hit his stomach, he felt the surge. Then the sickening laughter began to erupt out of him.

"Hehehe…. Hehehe…. HEHEHAHAHAHAHA!" he cackled.

"END HIM!" the elders shouted.

It was like a flash, Yuuji… no Sukuna's side erupted, two new arms burst forth in a blood manner as they severed the ropes bounding this dominate arms. He turned and was quick to cut the chains on his feet before he turned to Yua with a rage in his eyes.

"THIS ENDS NOW!" he shouted.

She smiled. "Yes, it does…"

She removed her cloak.

No one moved as Yua revealed a third eye in the middle of her forehead, a massive one that shined like a pearl. Then, her hair turned white and appeared to be on fire!

He was fast, yet. Somehow, she was faster. With the last of her energy, she launched something at Sukuna. Her trinket was thrown at him as hard as possible, piercing his stomach and was drawn into the body, yet he froze to it. "Huh? That's it? That was your attack? Oh you are going to die! I am going to…" he suddenly appeared dizzy. "What…" his vision started to fade. "What did… you do…" he then trembled before he vomited.

The twenty fingers consumed by Yuuji were rejected out of his body, yet as quickly as they went out, Sukuna recovered. Brushing off the whole thing like it was nothing. They decayed to dust as he snickered. "I don't need them, I got twenty new ones!" he laughed. "Now… one final detail…" his head contorted as he tried to grow his second face, but then, there was something in his eyes. Yuuji fought back as he recovered for but a moment.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! DO IT!" he shouted.

Yua nodded as she sent one more powerful strike into the body. Her fists were like white fire as she struck him hard and fast. She hit him in the stomach, just above the mark of where her trinket had pierced. But then her hand went over his mouth, forcing him to breath in the white fire she summoned.

Sukuna regained control of himself, his sights sent on Yua when suddenly, he dropped to the ground!

"End him!" the elders called. Yet as they tried, a demonic barrier went up! It covered Yuuji's body and his alone. Gojo went over and tapped it, but found it was remarkably strong.

"Huh, this could take some time to break…" he said offhandedly. "But I wonder what just happened?" his smirk couldn't be contained; Yua smiled but then collapsed herself. Her hair went out but turned grey.

Aoi caught her before she hit the ground, but she kept a close eye on everything. "Please… work…" she prayed.

"What did you do?" whispered Aoi.

She smiled. "Put a bigger monster into him…"
