Chapter 5: Of Thoughts, Mantras, and Bats

New York City, February 20, 2010

Shirogane flew through the night air of his city with an ever so calm gaze on his face.

It had been a week since he had attained Shielder's, or Galahad's, Class Card and since he first transform to his ascended form, and from what he gathered the people were calling it, Divine Spirit Form, and he wasn't complaining about the name.

But, it was also one week ago he learn that should he use that form (Amount) more times, he'll lose his humanity, and he doesn't want that.

Diamond, however, assured him that he possibly won't have to use it again any time soon, but even then, he wasn't one to get his hopes up so easily. With Super Villains running amok, and his Class Cards Scattered all over the world, he knows he's probably going to have to use that form again one day, but when, that's anybody's guess, but he just hope it isn't someday soon.

"Still think of that, Shiro?" Diamond looked at his partner with a seemingly concerned expression on their dial. The young hero temporarily stops flying.

"...yeah. The fact that I can possibly lose myself to my newfound power scares me Diamond. I want to protect people, and do my mission for the old man, but losing who I am, what makes me...well, me scares me above all else." Diamond could see the fear and doubt swimming in his eyes.

"Aaron," Diamond began, "in the span of the few months we've been together, you haven't let that warning get to you like it is now." Diamond escaped from Shirogane's grasp and flew up to the boy's face and jabbed his pummel into his chest.. "You are stronger than this. Remember, you have me by your side through all of this Shiro, and even should you loose yourself to you power, I'll be there to help you back."

Shirogane gave his partner a smile and hugged the Kaleidostick. "Thank you Diamond, I don't know what I would do without you." The stick looked up at him and nods.

"And I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, I promise you that." Shiro smiles.

"Good, cause our journey won't be over for a long time." He then remembers something. "Oh yeah, we have to meet Batman soon at our usual place." Diamond nods.

"Well, better not keep Mr Dark and Scary waiting." The boy took hold of his partner once more, and they flew through the air, thoughts no longer lingering in Shirogane's mind…

For now

-Platinum Hero-

The Hero and Wand duo landed gently on a skyscraper, and not a moment later did the boy's fox ears twitch.

"Hello Batman." the youth turned to be greeted to the Dark Knight, but this time he wasn't alone. Shirogane saw a boy about three to four years older than he was right at Batman's side.

'So this is Robin.' he thought, intrigued by the new face.

"Shirogane," the Dark Knight greeted back with a small, curt nod. "I've brought my protogè, Robin with me, I hope you don't mind." The boy shook his head.

"Not at all." The boy wonder approached the younger boy and stuck out a hand.

"Nice to finally meet you, Shirogane." The Magic Boy took his hand and shook it.

"And nice to meet you too, Robin." the Boy Wonder looked into the younger boy's eyes and found himself getting lost in the glittering orbs of Platinum. He had seen pictures, but they certainly didn't do them any justice, that's for sure.

He shook himself from his staring before he creeped out the younger hero, who still gave him a bright smile.

Then a new voice spoke up. "He's shorter than I thought." Robin looked around, only to find nobody else.

"Who said that?"

"I did of course." Shirogane sighed and held up his Wand, which then bent itself and got a closer look at Robin. "Nice to meet you, I'm Shirogane's Partner, Magical Diamond, or simply Diamond of course."

Robin stared blankly at the Kaleidostick.

"The Wand's talking." he muttered out. Shirogane nods.

"Diamond is a living being like us, but born of magic." The Wand nods.

"Indeed, and I've been given to Shirogane tasked by my creator to help him in his future endeavors." Robin nods slowly in understanding.

Oh boy, just wait till Wally hears about this!

Batman then gave a slight 'ahem' , catching the two boy's attention.

"Shirogane, I want you to spar with Robin, and see where both of you stand against one another." The two shared a look before nodding but both were curious to see how well they fared against one another.

Robin had been trained for about five years under Batman's tutelage, and could hold his own pretty darn well all things considered. Shirogane, on the other hand, while having only about three months of experience so far, he also had the skill and experience of two heroes in his arsenal as well.

So this fight can go either way to be honest, but both Batman and Diamond both knew the outcome already.

It was a few moments later that the two youths were standing off against one another in different stances. Diamond opted to float besides the Dark Knight and watch, seeing how well his holder fairs off against another hero closer in age.

Robin gave Shirogane a small smirk. "Don't be too sad when I beat you." The Platinum eyed youth rolled his eyes, a playful smirk on his face.

"I'll try not to make it hurt too badly." with words exchanged, silence reigned over the area.

Then, Robin moved. He jumped into the air and aimed a downwards kick at the young boy. Shirogane sidestepped the attack before launching a punch at Robin, who in turn also dodged the attack.

The two traded blow for blow, either dodging or blocking the other's attack from hitting them, and this went on for a while.

Batman gave a low hum as he watched the sparring between the two young heroes. Robin had come far, and mostly used quick strikes before dodging instead of trying to land heavy blows. Meanwhile, Shirogane was a mix of quick hitting and heavy strikes, but kept his stance to where it would be easier to dodge incoming attacks, using his shorter size to his advantage.

Diamond watched the sparring session with an intrigued look. Jeanne had already linked with Shirogane given him greater fighting skill though their bond, but it seems like Galahad had also added to it recently it seems, and Shiro looked as though he could tank more damage that comes his way.

Robin than went to strike Shiro, who grabbed his fist before twisting it downwards and flipping his legs up and around the Boy's Wonder's neck, spinning around, and bringing the Older boy down to the ground in a headlock with his legs, and had him completely immobilized.

"And that's my win Robin." Shirogane let him loose as the both stood up, Robin rubbing his slightly sore neck.

The Boy Wonder looked at the Shining Hero. "Man, you're good!" he was extremely jealous now, but also in awe at what someone younger and short was capable of doing.

At that moment did Batman decide to make himself known. "Good work you two." they turned to the Dark Knight. "You both showed skill, determination, and confidence in your powers and abilities." Diamond flew up besides him.

"Indeed, that was a nice match."

The two young heroes exchanged looks, Shiro smiling softly at Robin. "Yeah, It was fun to go against someone my age." Robin looked at the bright smile and felt his heart pound in his chest as he felt his temperature rise a bit.

'Weird, my chest is pounding and I feel hot all the sudden.' Batman noticed Robin's shift in stance and appearance, seeing a small tint of red on the teen's cheeks, and gave a hidden smirk.

'So he fell under the little fox's spell…?' he wondered how things would turn out between the two.

But suddenly, his wrist computer began beeping wildly, and knew something was up. He looked at it and frowned. "Trouble in Gotham, Joker's at his usual scheme again." Robin frowned, upset he had to leave so soon before he got to know Shirogane better.

Then, an idea hit him. "Can we bring Shirogane along?"

The other three looked at him with varying expressions. Batman was slightly surprised, but kinda expected it, while both Shiro and Diamond were surprised by the question.

Batman gave a low hum as he thought about it. Shirogane had only had to deal with Klarion so far, but getting him used to another Super Villain, especially someone such as Joker, would be more than a bit much for him, but then again, Robin has dealt with the man before when he was younger, so that would be hypocritical not to take him into consideration.

On the other hand, it would give the boy some good experience as well as allow him(batman) to see how the boy thinks and how he handles such a situation.

"...he can come." The three looked at him surprised. "He'll need the experience one day." he turned and began to walk towards the side of the roof. "Now, lets go."

Batcave

After a thirty minute ride in the Batmobile, the trio were at the Batcave, and Shirogane looked around in awe at the sight. He never thought he'd get to see the famous sight before, or until later in his life as a hero.

But, after he was done, he joined the two other heroes at the Batcomputer as Batman brought up a set of documents. "As of late, the Joker has been active, stealing highly dangerous chemicals from all over Gotham City." a list of chemicals appeared on screen and Shirogane began to analyze them and think of what their purpose was for.

"I guess some of these are used mostly for infamous Joker Gas, correct?" The Boy Wonder nods.

"Yeah, but some added chemicals he's been stealing lately and we don't know what for." The Magical Boy and his Stick looked at the screen.

"From what I recall, don't you have other villains that use Chemicals…?" they nod. "Cross analyze their usual gases they use and maybe we can find something." The others were surprised by his logical reasoning, and Batman was glad he allowed him to tag along.

He then began to type away at his computer as he cross analyzed the chemical components Joker's been stealing as well as those they've had confronted in the past.

And to their surprise, there was a match…

"Scarecrow." Robin muttered, eyes narrowing.

Diamond looked confused. "Who?"

"Scarecrow's a wicked man who uses special gas that causes people to see what they fear most in their lives, more often than not, leading people to kill themselves as a result." the kaleidostick paled hearing that.

"And from what we can guess, Joker seems to be planning to use his usual gas and mix it with Scarecrow's..." Batman began, the three catching on.

"Forcing people to laugh to death at their fears." Robin finishes, getting a nod from the man.

"We have to stop him!" Diamond exclaimed. "Before lives are lost!"

"Easier said than done Diamond." Robin told the Kaleidostick. "We haven't been able to track him down to any hidden location as of yet." Shiro gave a small hum in thought.

"He would need a place to mix large bats of the chemicals, yet somewhere we'd know not to look…" Diamond had an epiphany.

"Could it be possible he's hiding in plain sight?" The two young heroes looked at the Wand.

"Plain sight?" they echoed.

"Ace Chemical Factory." They turned to Batman, who was currently looking at live feed of the abandoned facility, where Joker became the person he was today, smoke rising from the exhaust towers connected to them.

How had he not noticed it sooner? Joker must have been acting at night, so the smoke from the towers wouldn't be as noticeable, and could work in peace without his interference.

"The place where Joker became what he is today, right?" Robin asked, getting a nod from the Dark Knight.

"Correct, and it seems he's been there for a short time right under our noses." Shirogane gave a look of determination.

"Then there's no time to waste! We have to go and stop him before it's too late!" The others nod as they race towards the Batmobile, ready to take on the killer Clown Man.

Ace Chemicals

The four reached the factory and looked at it with narrowed glances. Robin then looked at his mentor with a questioning gaze. "How do we approach the situation Batman?"

The Dark Knight looked around. Joker knew him best, and vise versa, so he had to approach this task carefully.

"Shirogane, I need you to-" he stopped as he glanced at the youth…

Or rather the spot he was originally in, that is.

Robin noticed his look before he turned, and saw that the younger boy was gone.

"...well, that's new." Robin all but said. But, he could help but feel impressed at the fact that the youth disappeared without a sound, Batman was too to be honest.

-Platinum Hero-

"You sure they won't be mad?"

"I'm sure they'll be fine."

Platinum and Diamond landed softly on the building. He had a plan to take down the Joker's entire scheme with one swift motion.

The plan was simple, sneak in, place the items in check, both neutralizing the chemical bats, then, once Joker was defeated, blow the place to high heaven!

"You have a plan?" a gruff voice said from behind Shirogane. The boy nods.

"Yep," he replied to Batman, not even bothering to turn around. "And you have one too, right?"

"Affirmative. Neutralize the bats, take down the Joker, and get out." Similar to his plans, but without the whole blowing up the place thing.

But, he didn't want to lose Batman's trust, so he'll lay off the explosion...for now at least.

"Okay. Knowing you, you have something to neutralize the chemical compounds, right?" Batman nods as he brought out two tablets, one of orange, and the other of purple. "You might need this." Shiro toasted a sack to them, of which Robin caught in his grasp.

He opened it to reveal a bunch of Quartz Crystals that gave bright and mystical shimmers in the night. "What are these for?"

Shiro smirked. "They're Purifying Crystals. It's a special technique my family does, special healing magic is embedded into the Crystals and is able to purify liquids of dangerous toxins and makes them safe for consumption. I tend to keep some on hand for emergencies."

Robin looked at the crystals in his grasp in awe while Batman gave a nod. But, the man couldn't help but ask. "What will you do while we set in the tablets?"

Shirogane turned and gave a devilish grin that sent a slight shudder down the Boy Wonder's spine. "Let's just say I want to toy with a certain clown." He leapt off the roof to go into action.

"Batman…?" the man turned to his student. "I think I'm starting to like Shirogane a lot more than I thought..." The Dark Knight agreed.

-Platinum Hero-

"Hahahaha! Scarecrow old pal, this plan of yours is simply scaretastic!" Clown King of Crime, Joker, was walking side by side with a man dressed in his namesake, a Scarecrow costume.

"Yes," Scarecrow said in a somewhat raspy and gruff voice. "And Batman and his little sidekick won't suspect us of being here, we've been well hidden for the past few weeks."

The duo walked down a row of giant chemical bats that held mixtures of both their signatures gases, to induce fear and laughter into the hearts of all people in Gotham, and soon, the world!

"Yes indeed buddy of mine! They'll never expect us to be hidden in plane sight!" Joker gave another laugh.

"And soon, all of Gotham will face their fears-"

"-And die laughing in the face of it!" As the two walked, they never noticed the caped duo racing across the upper metal grates of the factory, only stopping to drop the tablets and crystals in the bat of chemicals.

"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

A laughter rang out through the factory, causing the two villains to stop in their tracks and look around. Scarecrow looked at Joker, thinking this was one of his jokes again, but the King of Crime raised his arms in surrender.

"It's not my doing this time Scare!" the laugh once again rang out, making them more on guard.

"So! You both think you'll get away with this? Well...THINK AGAIN!" Shirogane descended from above as he landed, pointing Diamond out at the opposing individuals. "Listen, oh evil Villains that torment Gotham, for I, Shirogane, shall defeat you!"

He struck his pose, and everything was dead silent.

From above, Robin was forced to hold back his laughter as he took a video and picture for a later date, already planning on showing it to Walley, Equaled, and Speedy the next he saw them. Diamond sighed, just about used to his holder's antics as Joker and Scarecrow exchanged glances. Then, the Clown man gave a wicked smirk as he walked forwards.

"Well well, if it isn't the new brat of NYC, here to crash our party?" Shiro grinned as he twirled Diamond and pointed it at them.

"Yep!" Diamond lit up as they fired streams of energy at the two, bit both dodged the incoming attack.

"Well then, if the little fox boy wants to play, than let's play!" Joker pulled out his gun as he aimed and began firing at the youth.

Shirogane flew upwards as he began to dodge the bullets from the man's guns. Before long, Joker ran out of bullets, and frowned as he looked at his empty gun. "Well ain't this just peachy!"

Shirogane stopped flying about as he looked at the man, a smirk on his face. "My turn." He dive bombed the two, forcing them to duck. "Install: Shielder!" Shirogane's feet touched the ground as his body gave a glow as he stood in a new form.

The boy was cladded in mostly black armor, grey pants on his legs and thigh high armored boots on his feet. On his upper form, hanging from his shoulders was a purple cape that reached his lower chest, an opening right at his center chest. And around his waist was an open half skirt, the same color as the cape around his shoulders.

And in his grasp was a giant black shield with medieval markings on it.

The boy then rushed right towards them, a small smirk on his face.

"Don't get so cocky!" Joker pulled out another gun from his jacket and aimed it at the youth before firing it. Shiro's smirk didn't waver as he brought up the shield as the bullets began to bounce off of it in various directions as he kept pressing forwards, much to the two men's shock.

Then, when Shiro was in close, he swung his shield upwards, disarming the Joker of his gun before punching the man in the stomach and sending him flying backwards from the impact. He then turned to Scarecrow, but the man was more than ready.

He raised an arm and sprayed his Fear Gas in the boy's face!

Shiro was taken off guard. The boy coughed as he stepped back, fanning the gas from his face.

"Hehehehe," Scarecrow chuckled darkly. "Now you'll be sent to your deepest, darkest fears…" what happened next shocked him to his very core.

"Dear Gods! That smells disgusting!" Scarecrow's eyes went wide.

"H-how!?" he cried out. "How aren't you affected by my fear gas!?" Shiro looked at the villain and frowned.

"That's your fear gas? Honestly, it smells like a bad fart." Then a familiar crazed voice sound from behind the youth.

"Well, if that's the fart, here's the butt of the joke!" Joker Swung his crow bar and hit the youth on the head…

But the bar itself met a clang instead.

Shiro had seen this potentially coming, and had raised his shield at the last minute, stopping Joker's weapon from hitting him. "If that's a joke then it's the worse one I've heard." he pushed the Joker off of him with ease before grabbing his arm and throwing him into Scarecrow, sending both villains to the ground.

The two groaned before looking up as Shiro stood over them in an appressing manner. "Give up, you both can't defeat me."

Joker grinned. "That's where you're wrong foxy! Boys~!" Joker called out to his goons, but after a few moments, no one came. "Hey, what gives? That usually brings all the boys to my side!" the youth smirked.

"Oh? Did I forget to mention that I had some help?" Right on que, Batman and Robin descended from above and landed besides Shiro, much to Joker and Scarecrow's shock.

"End of the line you two." The Dark Knight spoke. "Your goons are taken out and your outmatched and outnumbered." Joker gave a wicked grin.

"Not yet Batsy old pal, because, we get the last laugh! EHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Joker pulled out a button and pressed it.

Then, all the bats began to drain themselves as they headed to special sprays that would send the gas all across Gotham City. The Gas was released as it extended throughout the air of the city and inside the very Factory itself.

But, to the two villains shock, they didn't see the trio laugh to death like Joker's other victims, instead, they looked perfectly fine.

Robin sniffed the air and gave a surprised hum. "Is that Vanilla I smell?" the magical boy blinked before face palming.

"Dang it! I grabbed the Vanilla Flavored Crystals by accident!" Robin snorted at the younger boy's plight.

The two villains, on the other hand, were at a complete and utter loss as to what the hell just happened.

"What give!?" Joker cried out. "You all should be dead by now!" Batman turned to look at the two of them.

"I had special tablets made out of the antidote formulas for both of your toxins, and to further ensure they wouldn't cause any harm, Shirogane gave us magic crystals that purify all toxins in liquid states."

Robin pulled out a sack, but it was smaller than before. "You might want these back." Shiro took the sack, giving the older male a thank you before pocketing it. The boy then turned to the two villains, a smile on his face.

"You see, I was simply a distraction while these two took care of your chemical concoctions." Joker and Scarecrow were beyond furious now.

"Bull shit! I call foul!" Joker exclaimed. "That's not fair!" Robin folded his arms, smirking.

"All is fair in Love and War Joker." Shiro nods in agreement as he dismissed his Install, returning to his Magical Boy get up.

The trio of heroes looked at the two with menacing glares, and both Joker and Scarecrow both knew that the jig was up.

-Platinum Hero-

A while later, the police were at Ace Chemicals, and took the two villains into custody, but the Clown King wasn't through just yet.

"This isn't over!" Joker yelled. "I'll get you dear foxy...and your little wand too!" Joker was shoved into the van as it took off back to Arkham Asylum.

Commissioner Gordon approached the three individuals. "Thank you again Batman, if you hadn't stopped him, more than half the city would have been killed from his and Scarecrow's actions."

While the two men conversed, Shiro and Robin were having their own conversation.

"So is this how your nights usually go in Gotham?" The Magic Hero asked the Boy Wonder, who nods to his question.

Robin folds his arms and nods. "Pretty much. Sometimes it can be more dangerous, or sometimes even less, but the nights here are always filled with trouble." Shirogane gave a small frown.

He kinda felt bad for Batman and Robin.

"Well," Shiro took Robin's hand and looked into his eyes, a kind and radiant smile on the boy's face, "if you or Batman ever need a helping hand, I'll be there, okay?"

Robin blinked as he felt his face heat up more than last time, a visible red shade on his face, his heart thumping madly in his chest.

Dang it, why did Shirou do this to him!? He makes him feel all warm and fuzzy inside and makes his chest pound madly! He likes it, but why!?

Robin rubbed the back of his neck, giving a sheepish chuckle. "Y-Yeah, c-cool, cool. I'd like it-I mean, we'd like it if you'd help me-I mean, us! Yeah, help us!" Shirogane looked at him oddly.

"Are you alright? Your face is red." The teen's face darkened, and Shiro frowned.

O-o-oh, um-" he felt a hand on his head. He saw Shirogane with a palm on his head, his face scrunched up in concentration.

"Your temperature seems fine to me." Robin gave a sigh of relief. Smart, Shirogane might be, but thankfully he was still only about ten years old, so he wouldn't know how he felt yet.

Diamond, meanwhile, knew of Robin's feelings and gave a silent chuckle. Oh, he couldn't wait to see how Shiro's love life ended up.

Batman saw their conversation with an amused smirk, the sight shocking Gordon, never seeing the man's face like that outside of his permanent scowl. He soon returned to his usual scowl as he approached the two.

"Shirogane, I think it's time for you to head back." The two young heroes turned, and the younger of the two's eyes widened.

"Oh crap, it's so late!" he turned to Robin and gave a sad smile. "Let's hang out next time, just you and me, alright?" The boy wonder nods.

"Count on it." Then, without warning, Shiro hugged him before he quickly let go and flew off into the air.

"Till we meet again!" Shiro waved Diamond, and in a flash of light, the two were gone.

Once the hero and his weapon were gone, Batman and Robin began to head towards the Batmobile, but Batman couldn't help but throw in a few words.

"Also, I approve, but wait till he's older at least."

Robin denied it the whole way back to the cave.

Later, Aaron's Dreamscape

"So, the reason I wasn't affected by Scarecrow's Gas was because one of your passive power is being immune to all types of toxins?'' The boy was once again back in his dreamscape, although, he was actually pulled there to more or less be told some things.

Galahad nods at the boy's summarization. "Correct, it'll be most effective whenever my Card is Included and/or Installed." Aaron nods slowly before looking at Jeanne.

"I know you're immune to all forms of magic, so what else can you do?" Jeanne gave a slight hum in thought.

"Well, one of my skills, while not useful in battle, allows me to see the names and parameters of opponents I'm up against." Aaron had a gleam in his eyes hearing that.

Yep, that'll definitely come in handy one day, when, he had no idea, but one day that would be a great tool to use.

While he was in thought, the two Heroes exchanged glances, having a silent conversation with on an important matter, they ended up nodding their heads in agreement.

"Aaron," Jeanne began, bringing the boy from his internal thoughts. "There's an important matter we must discuss with you concerning the other Class Cards and the potential danger they could bring about."

Aaron's eyes narrowed slightly, a frown now appearing on his face, silently telling them to reveal what they know.

Galahad took a breath. "You see, amongst the Class Cards, four of them are far more dangerous than you may realise, those being of the Caster Card, Archer Card, Assassin Card, and Berserker Card." Aaron's face went from a concerned look to a more confused one.

"I can get Assassin and Berserker, but why those two more or less?" Jeanne shook her head.

"No, it's more to it than just their Class alone. Three of those four Cards hold what is known as Grand Heroes, Heroes who made the biggest and ultimate mark on their class as well as history itself, even if their stories aren't as widely known as other heroes are." Aaron nods, his confusion leaving him for understanding, but his frown returned.

How bad can these guys be anyways?

Seeing his look, Galahad decided to elaborate more in depth to his holder. "Grand Heroes are on another level of power, making them close to literal Gods so to speak, and should never be taken lightly in a fight."

Aaron paled, and greatly so.

So, he had to fight people on par with literal deities!? Damnit, what was his life anymore!

"And which servants are of the Grand Class?" Jeanne replied instantly.

"Caster, Archer, and Assassin." Aaron rubbed his chin, making sure to keep those three Cards in memory for future reference.

"I don't know much about what Caster or Archer is capable of," Jeanne told him. "But, if and when you meet Assassin, do not hesitate to fight to the death with them. A single mistake, and they'll kill you with no ounce of hesitation."

Aaron paled once again, and more so than last time.

Great~, a psycho Assassin who kills with no hesitation whatsoever. He just hopes he doesn't meet them so soon…But, then again, knowing his luck, that could happen.

"And watch out for Berserker," Galahad added, "neither of us know what they're capable of, but from what we do know, is that they're on the level of the three Grand Heroes, so don't think twice about going all out in a fight with them if you have too."

Aaron nods, reigning in his bearings once more.

He should have expected this, nothing is ever easy for him nowadays, but at least things have been interesting and have gotten to meet equally interesting people as well, so he can't honestly complain about it really.

"And be careful for fourth-wall breaks," Galahad told him. Aaron tilted his head in confusion.

"What do you mean?" Before the Shield of Camelot could answer, Jeanne covered his mouth.

"Never mind that." she said quickly. "Getting back on track, just be careful, and never underestimate your opponents Aaron, and don't always trust others blindly either, sure there will be those you can trust with all your heart and being, but there's always those out there that'll do anything to get you to do what they want."

Aaron nods. He, of course, kinda already knew that, coming from a wealthy and influential background. While people might not know he's related to the Sinclair Family, a few people do, and then there's those in the Mage Association that attempted to garner his favor while he was there.

He could also see where Jeanne was coming from as well. Her devotion to God was understandable, yet blind somewhat, but her blind devotion to her country ended up having her executed by the very people she swore to protect with her life. He knew she didn't hold any ounce of regret or anger for what they've done, but she's only looking out for him so he didn't meet a similar fate as she once did.

"I'll remember that." The two heroes nodded, knowing their holder would very well follow through with their words of warning and advice.

It was then, Jeanne stood up. "Well, I think it's time for you to leave us Aaron, we'll talk more in a week, or if you happen to find and add another Class Card to your deck." the boy nods as he and Galahad stood up.

And next thing he knew, the Dreamscape started to become hazy as darkness began to envelope the area. But before he left, Galahad gave him one last piece of advice.

"Remember, Aaron, a hero is only as good as one if their resolve stays firm and true, and remember what you're fighting for."

And once again, Aaron knew only darkness.

Underworld/Hell

"So, Lucifer put a mandate on the Fox boy, huh?" asked a man to his subordinates. The man in question looked to be in his twenties, even if he was far older, black hair on his head with golden bangs framing his face, and a black goatee on his chin.

"Yes sir, it was finalized and established earlier today." The leader of the Fallen Angels, Azazel, gave a small smirk.

He had seen this coming beforehand, and knowing Devils and their nature of greed, they all would want the boy on their side. And he knew that Leviathan would especially want him on her Peerage, seeing he's an actually Magical boy.

Not that he blamed them though, the kid was a puzzle to him, one he wanted to solve first hand. From his powers, his abilities, his wand, his quest, and especially the Class Cards of famous heroes he's trying to find.

"I expected as much. For now, observe the kid from a distance, and ensure you're not discovered, got it?" the Fallen subordinate nods.

"Yes sir!" and they left the man, who returned to his seat at his desk as he looked over the file of his immediate attention.

Shirogane, better known as the Platinum Hero.

The name fitted the youth extremely well, his color scheme, his eyes, and his magic, all of it fitted with his name to the point, even his wand was similar to the color scheme he had. But, the kid had other abilities that he's starting to show as well.

The first and obvious one was the fact he could embody the will and spirit of history's greatest heroes, and already had two well known ones, the Holy Maiden Savior, and the Shield of Camelot, and these forms/Cards he used had special powers of their own, the Ruler Hero, as Jeanne D'Arc had called herself, was immune to all forms of magic used against her, and could bat away magical energy like it was a pesky fly. He didn't have much on Galahad, but he would know in the days to come.

And the other heroes that Shirogane will soon have in his arsenal, he wanted to know who they were, what they were capable of, and history's secrets that were never documented.

And to add icing to the cake, last week he ascended to a form dubbed as, Divine Spirit Form, and it was a sight to see. The darkened color pallet, the nine crystalline tails, and the new wand appearance.

Oh, he wanted to solve the enigma known as Shirogane, and he wanted to solve it badly…

"Thinking about him again, old man?" Azazel was brought out of his thoughts as he looked up at his charge, a boy of about twelve, give or take a year, dressed in a dark green shirt, black pants, and combat boots. He was very good looking as well, pure silvery-white hair on his head, and a set of golden hazel eyes.

"Vali, how many times have I told you to knock?" the man asked. The boy shrugged.

"More than I'd like to count." Azazel sighed. This kid…

He took him in when he found him on the streets a couple years ago when he was doing business in the Human world, and looked worse for wear, bruises and blood evident on his being. He took him with him, cleaned him up, and got his story.

Vali was the descendent of the original Lucifer, something only known to a select few individuals in the Grigori, and was a heavily guarded secret. Not only that, but he was abused by his father, and ran away from his old home.

Thankfully, Vali bounced back and is at top health and form, and he found out he was more special than he realised.

He had a Sacred Gear.

Sacred Gears, also known as God's Artifacts, are items with powerful abilities bestowed upon humans by God of the Bible, and are known throughout history for doing great miracles. And Vali had the Scared Gear known as Divine Dividing, a Longinus Class Scared Gear.

Longinus are unique top-tier Sacred Gears, each having multiple abilities compared to a normal Sacred Gear which only has one, and has the power to slay Gods. This class of Sacred Gears are also known as the tools that destroy God. There are 13 Longinus in total, Divine Dividing being one of them.

Divine Dividing, also known as the White Dragon Emperor's Light Wings, have the the power of its opponents by half after coming into physical contact with them every 10 seconds. The halved powers are then added to his/her own powers. If the added power exceeds the amount that the wielder can safely contain, the excess energy is then expelled out through the wings, which allows the user to always be at their highest potential.

And Vali was already proficient in using it as it was, and seeing his half Demonic heritage, he was going to be the Strongest White Dragon Emperor, Past, Present, and Future.

Azazel gave a sigh as he leaned back in his chair. "Yes, Shirogane interests me, and greatly so. The power and potential he has, I must know more about it." Vali shakes his head. Azazal can be such a weird guy sometimes. "But, not only that, due to his increasing power and skill, the Four Satans put a mandate on him and forbidding other Devils from trying to get him into their Peerages."

Vali scoffed instantly. "Like that'll stop them."

The man could only silently agree to his charge. Even with the mandate, Devils will do anything to get someone powerful on their side, through either persuasion or force, depends on who it is in the end.

"But, you're not wrong." Vali approached the desk and picked up a picture of Shirogane, the image showing the boy fighting the infamous Lord of Chaos. "Shirogane does interest me as well."

Vali wanted to fight Shirogane, above all else.

His supposed rival, the Red Dragon Emperor, had yet to awaken, unfortunately, and Shirogane was just the perfect opponent to fight.

Azazel, however, saw the look in his eyes and knew what he was thinking of instantly. "Are you planning on fighting him?" He knew better than to stop Vali when he wants to fight someone, he tried before, but Vali is stubborn and still finds a way to fight them regardless.

"Yes," was the boy's answer, "and I will get that fight, one way, or another…" he gave a smirk, imagining the fight between the two of them…

And it will be great.

Hey Guys, Trey here, and i just have some information. Many are wondering just who are Aaron's/Shirogane's Pairings are, and they are as followed:

Dick Grayson/Robin/Nightwing - Young Justice

Vali Lucifer - Highschool DxD

Ichigo Kurosaki - Bleach

Basara Toujou - Testament of Sister New Devil

The reason as too why these characters are paired with Aaron will be explained much later in the story, but we've seen him meet one of his pairings so far, and another is due to show themselves.

So remember to Follow, Favorite, and Review, and see you guys next chapter.

And FYI, I won't be adding notes to the beginning/end of the chapter unless there needs to be something addressed, so till next time.
