She was foolish. So foolish. Looking back on her adolescence, Mary recognized all of the signs. Not feeling like she was where she was supposed to, a depression that creeped further as she aged, and a running anxiety that she could not escape from.
Why had she not seen it before? The medication, therapy, societal norms- they were all designed to cut off this new generation from their nature.
