God, he better not be kidnapping me. Who's McGonagall? What's going on? Mary was deep in her thoughts while she followed the dark-haired man. She still had not yet received an explanation for how she apparently fell through a wall, and her anxiety was rising by the minute.
The man abruptly stopped at a small townhome and gestured for the blonde to head inside. Mary took a quick look around at her surroundings, hoping to at least have a general idea of her whereabouts lest she needed to call the police. She quickly stepped into the door that was being held open for her, and entered the quaint home.
"Professor? Professor McGonagall, you really need to see this. Like, really need to see this," the man said.
There were a few creaks of the floorboards, and a rather serious looking older woman appeared from the hallway. "Harry dear, what is it now? Please don't tell me Ginny's been practicing transfiguration on poor Ron again. Oh," she started when she caught sight of Mary. "And please tell, who might this be?"
Mary shuffled quietly, and looked over at the messy-haired man who brought her here. He responded, "See, Professor, I was hoping you might help me figure that out. This young lady, erm, ..." Harry faltered as he hadn't asked for her name, and shot Mary a quick look asking her to help.
"My name is Mary Turner, Miss. I, um, I seemed to have... fallen through a wall? And he, Harry I guess, just picked me up and took me here. I really mean no harm, I'm sorry to intrude," she cautiously explained.
The woman named McGonagall eyed Mary up and down for a moment. How was it possible that a muggle was able to enter Jamestown Avenue? This was America's equivalent of Diagon Alley, a wizarding community hidden away in New York City where she, Harry, and a few other Hogwarts alumni were sent on a quick mission on behalf of the Ministry. Nobody without a magical core should have been able to enter- and this young woman was clearly a muggle, as she too had no idea how she ended up here.
McGonagall cleared her throat, sent a heavy glance to Harry and said, "Miss Turner, if you could please tell us what you were doing before you came here."
The Professor, once Mary was nervously retracing her steps, slyly pulled her wand out of her cloak and pointed it at the young blond. She murmured a spell under her breath that revealed a synopsis of one's magical core. McGonnagal loudly gasp, turning the attention of those in the room towards her.
"My dear... it seems you're a witch."
